5001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Bitcoin SV STOLEN from Latest version Electrum SV Wallet BEWARE!! on: January 31, 2020, 02:54:06 PM
I remember seeing a similar thread in 2017, but that time it was BTC and BCH which got stolen. One of the users had installed the Electrum wallet after the BCH fork, and after a few minuets all of his BTC/BCH was gone. It was later found that he had visited a phishing site and had downloaded a compromised version of the wallet. I think the same could have happened in this case as well.

After New Zealand lost to England in the super over in the world cup, they're carrying this curse. A tie is a rare event and New Zealand are having them in two consecutive matches leading to super over and losing on both. They need to do something to lift this curse. Maybe wining the next T20I world cup with a good margin would help.

New Zealand is overdependent on a few players. A Kiwi side without players such as Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Neil Wagner is not even good enough to defeat an associate side such as the Netherlands or Scotland. If their players are fit enough, then they will be able to perform well in the world cup. Else, I don't expect them to progress much.
5003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 31, 2020, 02:37:50 PM
As expected, the match has ended in another boring draw. The Zimbabwean bowlers had 90 plus overs with them, but they failed to bowl out the Sri Lankans. Rain also played a major role in this test match, and this is another example of the climate change affecting cricket schedule. Those who are proposing the 4-day test format needs to explain how they are going to take this factor in to account.

Right now, it looks as if West Indies is the strongest team among all the 16 teams participating in the 2020 U19 World Cup. As of now, they are about to win their super league quarter final match against New Zealand. They have performed well so far, and their pace bowlers have been phenomenal. If they win today's match, then they will be facing the winner of the match between Bangladesh and South Africa.

You need to re-evaluate your statement. You strongest team WEST INDIES is out of the U19 World cup and its the NZ team which progressed further. WI was not able to finish the game and took the match easy in the last 5 overs which caused them the match.

When I made the post, it looked as if West Indies would win easily. And it looks like they got choked during the final overs. At one point, New Zealand were struggling at 8/153. They needed another 86 runs to win. Who would have thought that West Indies would lose from this point? The partnership between Joey Field and Kristian Clarke took the Kiwis to the semi-finals (where they will face a weak Bangladesh) and now West Indies can blame themselves for the missed opportunity.

I would say that Zimbabwe has wasted a golden chance to get a test victory to their name. They should have scored runs quickly and declared the innings by the end of second session. There is nothing wrong in taking risks. Zimbabwe has lost too many matches and another loss would have made hardly any difference. But there was also a rare chance of a win. They didn't took that risk, and went for the draw. I am fed up with their attitude.
5006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 30, 2020, 06:27:10 PM
Now the Indian management has no reason to keep players such as Sanju Samson on the bench. India has already won the series, with 2 matches remaining. At least now, they should rest some of their star players and give one or two matches to the youngsters. The argument that "winning combination should never be changed" makes no sense here.
5007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: January 29, 2020, 03:33:55 PM
This is the time, everyone should remove the bad influencer, fudder, negative minded people from life! When bitcoin had a long bear run, even when it's price was 7K USD, many people kept saying the price will be 5000, 3000 very soon, sell now and get out! But a true believer knows that Bitcoin price will bounce back soon or later. Now we are in a good position in the crypto world, so, this is the time to ignore fudders and keep confidence in yourself. Today CZ tweeted about it and that was very related to me. The negative preacher can break us a lot, so ignore them from now!

I am someone who first collected cryptocurrencies more than 3 years ago. I have seen the ups and downs of crypto, and based on that I would say that the situation is not as simple as you may claim it to be. No one want to sell their BTC or other crypto holdings at relatively low prices. But then, it depends on the individual. What if the prices fall by another 50% and stays there for 2-3 years (similar to what happened in 2014-15)?. What will be the case, if an user is having household expenses and utility bills to take care of, and he doesn't have any savings other than crypto?

Some crazy shit going on in the test match between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The Lankans were bowled out for just 293 (trailing by 113, with more than two days to go). If that was not crazy enough, Sikandar Raza picked up 7 wickets for 113 for Zimbabwe. Can you believe it? A part-time bowler destroying the Sri Lankan batsmen? I am waiting for more twists and turns from this match.
I was even surprised to see a scoreboard where Zimbabwe is leading the score and they were able to bowl out Sri Lanka with the help of Sikandar Raza who bowled his best spell in his career and they now have a healthy lead of 175 runs and if they can score the runs quickly and put Sri Lanka to bat again then there is a possibility to win the match, glad that i did not wage a bet in this match.

There is going to be a result in this match, as we have two full days remaining. As of now, Zimbabwe is leading by 175 runs, with 9 of their wickets intact. If they could add another 200 runs to the scorecard, then they can have a good shot at victory. But I wouldn't assume too much, since Zimbabwe is one of the most inconsistent teams in the international cricket arena right now. Their bowlers are very inexperienced and I don't trust them much.
5009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2020, 03:09:32 PM
Unlike India, New Zealand doesn't have any world class spinners in their playing XI. Mitchell Santner have been taking wickets regularly, but he is very inconsistent and he concedes a lot of runs in crucial situations. Also, the Indian batsmen are very comfortable against spinners (especially against those who don't turn the ball much, such as Santner). James Neesham would have been a good choice.... But I haven't seen in action for many months now.
Yeah i understand they do not have a world class spinner but if someone who could mix the pace and the length quite often then it is not that easy to score when you are forced to hit the ball against a slow bowler in my opinion, if he is bowling at a full length without any variation then it will be easier for the batsman but if you can mix them well then you will miss hit a couple of times and the game is done.

I agree. Southee is not known for his change of pace or accuracy. But I wouldn't blame the decision to give him the opportunity to bowl, because he was the most experienced bowler out there. Most of the teams outside the big 3 are facing issues due to limited player pool, and in case of New Zealand this has reached a stage of high severity. Despite additions from countries such as South Africa (Neil Wagner, Colin de Grandhomme.etc), they are still unable to reduce the over-dependence on some of their bowlers.
5010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest? on: January 29, 2020, 02:49:06 PM
I made some investment in BCH before the current bull run. I purchased BCH, when the exchange rate was hovering between BTC0.030 and BTC0.030. Now the prices are around BTC0.042 and I am up by around 20%. And remember that this increase has occurred despite Bitcoin maintaining its market share (the Bitcoin dominance is stable at around 66%).
5011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2020, 02:41:02 PM
Tim Southee should have never bowled those half volleys, because Rohit Sharma never misses such deliveries. This is where I feel that New Zealand is missing their strike bowler (Trent Boult). If Boult was on their side, then they could have easily won this match. Can you imagine a side losing the super over, after scoring a massive 17 runs batting first?
These are hypothetical situation as Trent Boult is injured and Tim Southee is their strike bowler, i think they will have a hard time if spinners will ball the super over who is able to mix the deliveries because Tim Southee is known to give away too many looking at his economy in T20, India won the series and hopefully they will give the bench players some opportunities to perform.

5012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is wasting electricity and are harmful to the environment.. Yea right!!! on: January 29, 2020, 01:59:42 PM
I don't necessarily agree with these arguments, which claim that Bitcoin mining is harmful to the environment. But at the same time, we may need to seriously think about shifting from a PoW mining algorothm to a PoS algo. Even now, a lot of money is being spent on expensive chips and graphic cards, on top of huge amounts of electricity. Why should we continue with this system, when we have a better alternative (PoS)?
5013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2020, 01:50:28 PM
I really wished for NZ to win this match. They had every chance to win this match. Their feilding was excellent, batting was good especially Williamson. They needed only 2 runs from 4 balls. Even posted a good 18 run target in super-over. But all their hopes were shattered by Shami and Rohit  Undecided I feel miserable for them.
The problem of New Zealand to fail close games continues, they left the world cup so close and then other tournaments which they should have won in the past and today's game which i thought New Zealand bowled really well to restrict India but then all the hope ended in the last 4 balls and then the usual disappointing super over as New Zealand always fail to win most of the time Undecided.

Well..well.. I would consider New Zealand as the real winners of the world cup. England won as a result of the wrong decisions by the umpire (Kumar Dharmasena). So you can't really say that they lost the close match then. But losing a super over, that too after scoring 17 runs is a bit difficult to digest. They were without their best bowlers. But all they had to do was to restrict India to less than 10 runs from 2 balls.
5014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright claims , today will be the last day for Bitcoins. on: January 29, 2020, 01:43:02 PM
snip..
What do you guys this of this ?
Please "Don't make a Con Artist be famous" !!  every word that Craig Wright says about Bitcoin is "Trash".. so we don't need to take every statement of him seriously.  he is a con artist since he publicly stated that he is the real "Satoshi"

For my part, I have added Craig Wright to the long list of cryptocurrency spammers. John McAfee tops the list and when compared to him, Craig Wright looks like an angel. They can shout as much as they want, but we need to ignore them. But at the same time, it is a free world and anyone is free to voice their opinion. We can't force them to shut their mouth.
5015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: January 29, 2020, 01:37:38 PM
The answer to that question may be more complicated than one hopes. In most cases, it is better to participate in an IEO and sell afterward than invest after the IEO. But that doesn't happen all the time. Take a look at Binance Coin and you see what I mean. Bottom line is, one needs to do a complete background check of the product before investing.

Binance coin was one of the successful listings. But there are hundreds of failed listings out there. Theoretically, you can say that investments should be made after proper research. But from what I have seen during my association with cryptocurrency, there is no guarantee of success even if the team is good and the project is 100% perfect. The cryptocurrency market is extremely unpredictable. Shitcoins may get huge spikes, and good ones may fail to get any investment or interest from the whales.

5017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Need Bitcoin, If Altcoins Transfers Are Faster And Cheaper on: January 29, 2020, 01:19:19 PM
It is difficult to give the reasons in one or two bullet points. These are the reasons that come to my mind right now:

1. There was no pre-mine for Bitcoin
2. It is the original cryptocurrency
3. The inventor (Satoshi Nakamoto) has never tried to profit out of BTC
4. None of the coins come close in adoption and acceptability when compared to BTC
5. BTC can be traded with a large number of options (fiats & other coins).

5019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO vs ICO my opinion, tell me yours on: January 29, 2020, 01:07:57 PM
I think IEOs are better than ICOs but exchange tokens like BNB and ecxx have proven to be better investments or the most part

Well.. have you checked the charts for BNB lately? A few months back, it was trading at $35 per coin. And now the exchange rate is about 50% lower than that level. From what I have seen so far, you can never trust an exchange. No one knows when it will get hacked. Exchanges such as Cryptopia had millions of users and it was trusted by a lot of the users. But we all know what happened to that exchange last year.
5020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: January 29, 2020, 01:00:29 PM
It is ATK that stays strong, and the competence for the first position is keeps going on between Goa and ATK. In between Bengaluru tries to make its entry. In my view looking upon the last few matches played by Chennai the progress is very good. I'm sure slowly Chennai will enter the top four of the points table soon. Now it stands equal in points against Mumbai.

ATK got three points from their match against the NorthEast United FC, while FC Goa defeated Kerala Blasters during their last match. And tomorrow we have the match between Bengaluru FC and the bottom ranked Hyderabad FC. BFC needs to win this match, else they will be out of contention for the top slot. There is a very significant gap between the top 3 sides (ATK, FCG and BFC) and the rest of the teams.
