Does exchange plan to work on reimbursing their customers after they relaunch? Must be hard to re-launch after rep is damaged so badly.
Well, they've sent an email to all of their clients regarding the hacking incident including the information about reimbursement. Here's the part where the refund was stated: If you held balances in coins that were lost in the event you will start to see Withdraws on your account for those coins. The TXID for the withdraw will not exist on the network but will detail how the coin was impacted in the event. For each withdraw you will also see a subsequent deposit of Cryptopia Loss Marker(CLM), the TXID for this will also not exist on a network but will detail the coin it represents a loss for. CLM is not a coin, it can't be traded as yet, it is just a number in the database that represents the loss for each coin for each user in $NZD at the time of the event. There are still steps to take to ensure we are taking a legal path toward reimbursement. From the looks of it, lost coins will be replaced by CLM tokens/coins which have a value of 1 New Zealand Dollars each ($0.67 USD).

The article isn't much of an Altcoin Mining topic but more of a Firefox browser security update information.
Regarding the "crypto mining", it's just an API gone to the wrong hands which enables hackers to mine in the background through the users' browser which isn't actually "mining" but hacking.
You can leave this here since it got the keyword "mining" but if anything, this belongs another forum.

6) Ensure you have 2Fa on and clean your system with a good anti virus, this is for additional security.
Not all users prefer a 3rd-party to handle one of their keys; not to mention, additional fees. Just change " Ensure you have" to " Consider enabling" and inform the user that the service requires additional fee. There have been users that were puzzled by the mysterious outputs in their transactions which happened to be the payment for 2FA service.

You can do the same thing using the combination of CSS and HTML by hiding the " link" underneath the displayed " subscribe button". Add: a.subscribebutton:visited {display = "none"} to hide it after one click which displays the link behind it. Just change the special class " subscribebutton" to your liking and add to subscribe button's element class="subscribebutton". Javascript can also do the same : Javascript - Hide/Show. But it's toggle-able. Add the attribute: target="_blank" to your HTML link(s) to open the link in a new tab . <a target="_blank" href="google.com">Link to Google</a>

If you're not planning to spend it, you can just keep the wallet offline. If the the PC is always offline, you're safe even if you installed a fake Electrum. By the way, if you're worried about losing BTC because Electrum couldn't sync, do not worry, it wasn't stored in the wallet, it's in the blockchain and the wallet is just the controller of the private keys that can control the funds of their address pairs. I have my seed secured. Im afraid if I upgrade now and cant sync. im a newbie , sorry I thought Electrum is safe. As long as I got the latest update. does it mean my wallet is safe?
Your wallet is safe as long as you didn't install or open a fake Electrum on an online PC/device. Bitcoins are safe as long as you have the SEED which controls all of the addresses derived from it. Also, your funds are safe as long as your SEED and private keys aren't stored in a vulnerable environment like cloud storage or PC with a lot of threats.

The above receive addresses are from:http://blendergoyusuu6g.onion/blender.html
Where did you get that link? That's a " temporary" fake tor link from bitblenr.io ( missing an "e") site reported here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5127439.0You've been scammed. Refer to my signature for the real bitblender drop site with the correct tor url.

This is what happened: Bitpay's invoice has an expiration of 15 minutes and their default speed tx requires 6 confirmations. Now, your transaction was initiated ( blockchain.com time) at 2019-04-07 11:22:22 and got confirmed after 12minutes, add 50 minutes for the next to sixth confirmation, that makes 62 minutes which is way past the invoice. https://bitpay.com/docs/create-invoice#expiDon't know how can they accept 6 confirmations within 15minutes but that's what written here. Just do as others told you and there shouldn't be any problem since Bitpay always address these type of issues.

Move your topic to mining board.
Better to Mining (Altcoins) since GPU rigs can't mine Bitcoins.
@ DRAHdk Both GPU were outdated for mining Ethash ( for Ethereum and forks) nor " mainstream" Altcoins, though 1050Ti can mine a lot of " Shitcoins". I suggest you to go to whattomine.com to find the most profitable ( or rather: less wasteful ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ) coin to mine using those GPUs. Then go to the Mining (Altcoins) board and find the suitable miner for your OS and selected coin to mine.

I believed the OP is using latest version of electrum since his previous transaction actually went through and the real problem is that his transaction is yet to be confirmed and if you check you see that the number of unconfirm transactions are increasing simultaneously.
Are you for real? The average mempool size has been low to normal since Friday. And OP said that the transaction was " a few weeks ago", the chance that it's confirmed by now is 99% even if it a 1sat/byte transaction. He haven't heard from him since then so this case might be solved already.

The "Gears" icon, it's an unconfirmed transaction which might occur even if the tx was already confirmed if the wallet wasn't synced or offline. Like this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fd65ghVj.jpg&t=663&c=ow1sU8vh6TCswg) I suggest to follow the posting instructions listed on this sticky thread: [READ BEFORE POSTING] Tech Support Help Request Format*Software details including Electrum's version.

-snip- comparing to ETH mining , and what the advantages of this pool are ?
If you're looking for a legitmate pool, go to Mining (Altcoins) > Pools. This thread was posted in the wrong board and there's no info in the OP. More or less, it's not any better than the others. [Requested to be moved to Pools]

You can try on Services > Currency Exchange and wait of a Green Trust members ( Users with Green +1~ below their names) to reply an offer. The rates are quite good, mostly depending on the current price, they accept Paypay too. For future reference what's the best place to buy BTC from to send money to vendors? Or is that a new thread?
As long as it's not another long discussion, I think it's fine; You must lock this topic if you want to create a new thread though, click the blue " lock topic" button just below the page ( bottom-left).

-snip- i checked on blockchain already without unconfirmed -snip-
If it's new, there should be " 1+ confirmations" displayed below the tx, are you sure that it's a legitimate blockexplorer? If it's unconfirmed, that guy must have used the same input to a new transaction, it's called " Double-spending", it's possible if the transaction doesn't have a confirmation yet. Usually, scammers time this during " heavy mempool times" when transactions are taking a lot of time to get a confirmation ( like last week till yesterday). Do you know the address that was used by this " one guy"? If you do, type it to live.blockcypher.com and it will show you the latest transactions, what differs it from other explorers is: double-spend attempts will be displayed ( in red as: Double-spend attempt!) as long as the other invalid-unconfirmed transaction is still in their mempool.

Just copy and paste the wallet.dat backup file to the default %appdata% storage of roi-coin wallet.
I only know the location for the Windows version which is: C:\Users\*ComputerName*\AppData\Roaming\roicoin\ or open "RUN" Windows+R, then type: %appdata% and press Enter, open roincoin folder.

Seems like your transaction confirmed -snip-He just got lucky, the average mempool size suddenly dropped to 10+mb that made his 1sat/byte tx possible for a 12-24hours-confirmation just as I mentioned earlier.
@ maxttilt You can now lock the topic ( lower-left button) after editing the title like "[SOLVED] Title".

Yes based from that, it wasn't sent yet and it isn't "pending", it's just your wallet that knows that particular Tx, not the whole Bitcoin network.
The right way to send a transaction is: Click "Sign", type your passphrase then click "Broadcast". After that, it will be added to the history as "Unconfirmed" and that will be successfully sent after receiving 1 confirmation (though the vendor might accept it after 4-6 confirmations). You can safely remove the local Tx and your balance will return to normal.
Also, read the warnings and instruction in the above replies.

|
|
R. I think I will wait until I get a response from the vendor?
If it was being displayed as " Local [rbf, 56. sat/b]", the transaction wasn't sent yet. To confirm it, copy the transaction ID from the details and paste it on an online Bitcoin blockexplorer: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer. If there is no result, it's not yet broadcasted. Warning: do not broadcast the local Tx since the vendor might have set an expiration to the payment invoice. Simply delete it and your balance should return ( it wasn't actually deducted) and try to contact the seller for a new invoice or not if there's no expiration and try again. Also, take note that the current average fee is a bit higher than normal.

Your Chrome was updated so it shouldn't be the vulnerability. There's are various Malwares/Viruses that can do the exact thing even after being detected by an antivirus, those can do their job before the detection.
Happened to me once (long time ago): my AV detected and successfully quarantined it but after that, in every page I visit, there's a chance that it will redirect to an advertisement. I suspected that I got it from an online Ad page. What it did was simply changed the proxy settings to its "home page/IP" which causes the redirection.
Scanning the PC wont help since the virus/malware was already quarantined, disabling or changing the proxy settings (from internet settings or/and Chrome's proxy settings) to default fixed the issue.

My BIP39 SEED was also created from iancoleman ( offline- downloaded the code form GitHub) and so far, it's still not hacked. The risks with the online site isn't the legitimacy of it, it's mostly the browser and malwares. Next time, you might wanna tell the OP about the steps on how to use the offline version than using the online " risky" method. Something like this: - Download from github.
- Turn off the internet connection or transfer to an always-offline computer.
- Extract it.
- Drag and drop to the browser.
