5021  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto reinvestment without withdrawal to fiat on: January 17, 2019, 12:11:20 PM
There are several ways to reinvest crypto to earn more crypto. Here are some examples:
Breeding: cryptokitties, fishbank, etc.
Resale: openbazaar, landhodler, etc.
Gambling: bitstars, mbit, betcoin and others.

Has anyone had experience with these sites? Are there other examples of reinvestment?

How can you define gambling as a way of investment? I think it is just a way of entertaining yourself and you will eventually lose your money because the house always wins. Maybe this will push you to lose more funds if you try to recover your initial "Investment".

Breeding is a game that I can think what is going to happen if everyone will stop playing and "investing" in it. Resale could be the only legit way. If I were to choose between these 3 I would go for the Resale option.
5022  Economy / Economics / Re: Tokenization of real-world assets on: January 17, 2019, 11:54:16 AM
Even though financial institutions don't like the blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies they have started doing research for tokenization of assets and how this model can be applied to the real world. I am aware that the European Central Bank has an Innovation team which tries to shed light on tokenization and I believe that they send the correct message to the community for the mass adoption.
5023  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: January 17, 2019, 11:11:36 AM
Of course, there are many projects that are better than Bitcoin in matters of scalability. I think the only problem that bitcoin faces right now is this. If scalability will be solved then Bitcoin's future is bright and it will make it a global currency that can push mass adoption for the society. I believe that this will be fixed soon and we are going to face an imminent upward trend of bitcoin.
5024  Economy / Economics / Re: Brexit we're going to know the end of the story. on: January 16, 2019, 08:08:42 PM
The situation in Great Britain is extremely interesting and dangerous at the same time. A wrong decision may bring an economic crisis that may have a negative impact on the global economy. I think that the end of the story will be very bad and harsh for the UK citizens as I cannot predict a safe and friendly breakup with the European Union.
5025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Own Gambling Strategy on: January 16, 2019, 12:29:49 PM
I dont know if you do this strategy on your betting game but if it is then good job. Its not about hacking the system of the house because its almost impossible to do and you cant win from them. Its about how to increase the possibility of getting home having a pocket full of money. So here it is.

1.) set aside a capital you can lose. Its upto you. If you lose it all of a sudden then youre such an unlucky man, you are helpless. Just Kidding. If its gone then go home. Try again if you have extra.

2.) lets say you win, set aside your capital if possible. If not, take 10% of every win in your pocket. With this you can go home with money even just coins. Not bad.

3.) in every loss, lower your bet so you can have more chances of winning again. If you bet all your money on one single bet and lose, then you know whats next. Go home lonely.

You see, these arent all sure but these are helpful. These hacks are only applicable to you and not the site. If you dont have controll then its nonsense.

I don't have a feeling that this strategy may work. You are saying that you take 10% of every win in your pocket. But you have to do something to make a profit right? If you don't make a profit then you can save any of your earnings, thus your strategy is invalid from the early beginning of it.
If it works for you then it is okay, but probably you are lucky enough till now.
5026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Bitcoin is good, but don't depent on it. on: January 16, 2019, 10:38:04 AM
I believe whoever on this forum somehow he is connected with crypto-currency. And all crypto-currency surrounded by Bitcoins. There is lot of way to earn bitcoin like trading, gambling, lending, bounty and so on. This is great opportunity that Bitcoin give us many way to earn from online.

I have seen few topic on forum lately that few people's are want to leave crypto-currency due to continue bear markets. They are finding job or whatever. That's why my topic title is earning Bitcoin is good, but don't depend on it since most of we are not whales.

Beginning of 2017 people's was happy up to end of year. Few people's left his job as far as I know only by depend on Bitcoin. The thought was Bitcoin will make them millionaire. That's not wrong it will happen once a day. But totally depend on it is sign of stupidity. It will be wrong if we think that market always will up trend and give us profits. Those are totally depend on online earning like bitcoin, downtrend is damn for them. In a result they loss their patience and sell coin on loss especially traders.

I would like to suggest earn Bitcoin as much as you can but don't depend on it. Just consider it as a passive income. Just continue your job or whatever your business. On the other hand earn from online and hold it until bull run on your appropriate targets. Then you will not panic and you will not be in loss. Most of traders loss due to panic sell and panic buy. So keep patience and continue your earning, spread the word about Bitcoin. Attract new investors on crypto industry. Think positive and be positive.

My intention to motivate people's who have losed their hope on crypto. The main reason is who are thinking to leave crypto they was totally depend on it. Which is wrong in my opinions.

Excellent post and I agree 1000% with this statement. People started to be dependent on cryptocurrencies when the all-time highs of bitcoin were reached in late 2017. Everyone thought that they can earn money with it and be rich without any need to work. That is totally wrong. Cryptocurrencies (at least at that period of time) can be seen as a side income and just for that. Don't fall for it that you can do a living with it and sadly be rich.
5027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revolution or a new start? on: January 16, 2019, 10:27:53 AM
Finally US company pay his business tax via BTC so, we can say it's a good start of BTC in future..

I think this company started new revolution so that other company too think of paying tax or payment via BTC. If companies started pay via BTC then other country definatly accept BTC too.

What you guys think of Overstock participate or i can say start revolution in BTC world.

What sounds very impressing if we think that US has strong regulations with regards to Bitcoin and they seem that they don't like them. If this happened once then maybe more companies are going to follow in the future. Do you have any link to share about this topic? It sounds weird and impressing and I want to read more about it.
5028  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 16, 2019, 10:22:55 AM
Cryptopia was one of the first exchanges that I opened an account and It was one of my favorite because of this emotional bond that I had with it. I am very sad it got hacked and it puzzles me how that happened. Cryptopia was never a target and volumes were very low there compared to other exchanges. What is more frustrating is that they do not provide detailed information about the security breach. Seems like they are hiding something.
5029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are any of you paid your salary in crypto? What's it like? on: January 16, 2019, 10:07:55 AM
How do your employers buy it?
Have there been scenarios where after they purchased the agreed amount the value increased/decreased substantially before you were paid? If so, how did they react to this?

If you refer to the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry then I believe everyone is paid in crypto mostly in Eth and Btc. When you have a contract with an employer that is going to pay you in crypto is something of a double-edged sword. You should be in high levels of trust but you deeply know that the employer can make a mistake (on purpose) in order to save them some money.

I believe that escrows are needed in these occasions as well, at least when you are about to end a contract (I was working for an employer that refused to pay me my last salary, even though I provided everything he wanted to close the contract).
5030  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: January 16, 2019, 10:01:42 AM
I'm just reading an article in the newspaper. Klaus W. Wellershoff (a last chief in UBS Bank) says that's impossible to use a currency with volatility as money. If the value of the money decrease, that means the value of the merchandise decrease. For example : if you buy a flat with bitcoin and few years later the bitcoin value decrease... Your flat lose his value as well.

What do you think about this argument?

I couldn't agree more with this statement. However, the reason why volatility exists is that cryptocurrencies are not used daily for everyday transactions but they are used for storing value and it is something like a kind of investment. If cryptos start to be used daily then their value will be more stabilized as there will be more buy/sell orders and transactions.
5031  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: January 16, 2019, 09:57:29 AM
Why would anyone want to sell now if the person doesn't have urgent need for cash.
It doesn't make sense to sell at this time when all you could have done is buy and buy then wait to sell when market recovers.
That's the difference between the poor and the rich.
The poor keep selling at loss while the rich are busy acquiring and selling back to the poor at high prices.

Well, selling is not only an option when you are need of cash. You can sell and still make a profit if you manage to buy back at a lower price. It is a bad decision if you have bought high and then when the price going down you sell and you never come back. With smart buy backs you can recover your investment even if you have bought at all-time highs like $20k.
5032  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: January 16, 2019, 09:50:22 AM
Bitcoin is different currency if ever we have an economic crashed or economic crisis, bitcoin will not be affected. The currency affected is Fiat money.
Crypto currency can help through subsidized the affected party through use bitcoin as a currency reserved to can pay all the debt of those financial institution affected
We cannot start pointing out any correlation at the moment, since thus far there has been no past scenario to look at to be able to know how things would end up working out. A lot of people may have their different thoughts based on different reasons, but for me, what brought about the deflationary nature of bitcoin and what urged the creation of bitcoin and its features was basically linked to the previous crisis. One thing for sure, most people who are investors and smart, would not want to be in fiat, and in such periods, assets tend to increase, hopefully, we will get bitcoin serve its purpose as a digital asset.

There is not clear evidence that there is such a correlation indeed. But some recent events point that fiat and crypto behave opposite.

If an economic crisis is going to blow then cryptocurrency market is going to go upwards as people will start seeking for other ways of storing the value of its money and resist the inflationary trends that will take place.

A recent example is the Turkish Lira crisis 2018 when Turks started buying bitcoin as they saw that their currency is losing value.
5033  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Adoption Is Pushing Up Salaries for Related Jobs on: January 15, 2019, 03:19:35 PM
2018 saw a sharp adoption by many major corporations to build new systems around the distributed ledger technologies. A new report indicates that because of the increased interest in these technologies, pays are rising for blockchain developers and other blockchain related roles.

https://all-stocks.net/industry-wide-blockchain-adoption-is-pushing-up-salaries-for-related-jobs/

The recent technological advances of the blockchain, Internet of Things, smart contracts etc. have increased the demand of programmers and developers and eventually, the salaries for these jobs have become more expensive for the employers. It is something very special to find in the industry and I wish I had studied computer science with a major in a digital network that will boost my profits.
5034  Economy / Economics / Re: Who are benefited with cryptocurrency? on: January 15, 2019, 03:10:57 PM
From the bearish market it seema that there are individuals who were benefited with cryptocurrency and taken it as an early christmas gift for them. Probably those who control the market are mostly likely to be the direct benefactors of bear market. What do you think and who do you think control the market of cryprocurrency?

I would say that not only the whales that control the market reap the benefits from the bear market. All individuals that are involved got the positive impact as this year was a corrective one and we get rid of negative people that were into our community. People that they just needed profits without even knowing the real reason of the blockchain are now gone.
5035  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT BULL RUN 2019 on: January 15, 2019, 12:00:07 PM
I really don't think there will be any bull-run in 2019, it's just too early. Based on past experience, it will take at least 1 year for everything to calm down. So there maybe something in 2020, when approaching to next halving.

I agree that it is a little bit early for the things to calm down. However, I anticipate an economic crisis that will affect the world all around, so I guess people will try to find ways to protect their savings from inflationary trends and don't lose value. Maybe in Q4 2019 the bull run is going to start slowly but steadily as well.
5036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Want to quit? Here's how on: January 15, 2019, 11:36:23 AM
Arrest the addiction.

That's how you quit.
Pure and simple.

I may have some addition for the OP also, you can give your money to your mom and told her that even if you want it back dont dare to give you even if just a single penny Smiley though moms are always strict when itcomes to money. But if you dont have any Mommy, I suggest to find one Tongue

And second thing if you cant find any get yourself a wife. And if still nothing because you're way too ugly inside and outside of your personality I suggest you to get a rope hang it on the tree, leave your belongings and money together with a note "I'm quitting gambling" then after that hang yourself into the rope Tongue

1. We are grown adults. You are not worthy if you just can't control your money and you have to hire someone else to manage them for you if you are a gambling addict. You still have to find another way of overpassing your addiction.

2. Meeting a girlfriend or getting married is a good solution as long as you will spend time with your spouse and do new exciting things together that will make you forget about gambling.
5037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories and Possible Solutions on: January 15, 2019, 11:28:09 AM
I recently heard a story about Gambling addicts from a worker who works as a manager on the floor. They are the ones who check and manages tables, and they are the one to approve different kinds of transactions there.

Anyways, it's about a person who is an addict who isn't going anywhere. He said that in his shift, let's say it's the morning shift, he saw the person there, playing. Nothing out of the ordinary, but when my friend says he is going out of his shift, he is still there, the player, so, at that time, it's quite okay because it's just almost 8 hours. When he came back the next day, that same guy with the same clothes is still there.

Just a reminder that there are people who really need help, but not interested in helping themselves.

Very sad to see people like the one you are referring to in your example. This guy needs totally help from relatives and friends to get him out of this situation. With instances like this one, I realize the reason why casinos don't have windows all around and they have us playing in the dark. So as to not realize if it is day or night. And it makes sense.
5038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: January 15, 2019, 11:21:26 AM

i like what you're thinking but at some point gambling is fun when you're winning but when you're starting out then loses all the time? i don't think you'll get addicted to gambling. it's fun if you're having fun and won but if you're stakes are getting bigger and starting to sell things and owe money, well, the person is addicted. Especially on the thought that he/she can bring back what he/she loses that's why he/she will still gambling thinking that he/she will win and get even.

It is fun both ways, not only when you are winning but also when you are losing. The key point is not to place big bets. If you do this mistake then of coure you will get addicted because you will try and think every day who you are going to get your money back and you will play and continue play until then. But guess what, the possibilities of taking them back are too little.
5039  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Over? on: January 15, 2019, 11:07:00 AM
Every time bitcoin has a price drop, everyone is saying that bitcoin is dead, but then it returns every time stronger than before.

As already happened in the past  Wink
That's always happened they are aavance thinking but their think is negative. There is no time to be negative in crypto community because there is still have people now undecided to invest their money and if they see the negtive maybe they will not go and they did not invest or backout because of that. Once the bitcoin decrease I hope everyone say bitcoin will rise this dump is only temporary.

Negativity stems from the fact that many people that are involved here in the community don't know the real usage and the value that cryptocurrencies can bring to our society. They mostly came in here because they thought that they will be rich in one night. They invested because of the hype probably at a high price and now that they have lost a big value of their initial investment they think that the only way to recover is being negative.
5040  Economy / Economics / Re: Be Creative and Earn on: January 15, 2019, 10:56:02 AM
We can do the same in the internet. However, Google is against crypto and it is harder to do the word of mouth technique or maybe to put it more correctly, attract people's eyes to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I am trying to learn some graphic design and improve my skills in order to create banners that will promote Bitcoin in people that are not aware of it. I still have room for improvement before I release my work to the public.
