I don't see how is that possible unless your devices have been compromised and someone removed the email but If they locked your account, It's more then likely that they have detected a suspicious activity, all you can do now is wait for their investigation and response which could take few days/weeks.

I've never seen them advertising anything besides ICOs before as well but I assumed It's because that's what the majority of people do now, I doubt they'll deny my application just because of that.

I don't think so, the service itself works for Dogecoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin so I'm going to assume the same thing goes for the source and even If not, you should be able to tweak it since both LTC and DOGE are forked from bitcoin.

A close person to me has asked to create what's called a dead man's switch. When he passes away, his bitcoins will be sent to specific addresses. I know that some people will suggest printing the private keys or giving the seed in his will etc. but that's out of the question in this case.

It's not that stable right now but there are definitely reputable services such as Bitrefill, TorGuard etc. that are accepting Lightning network payments.

You can have an idea about the overall progress here. We've also got a lot of wallets (Eclair and Zap are the best from my personal opinion) but they're not easy to set up, at least not as easy as Electrum for example. The reason behind that is that developers are focusing on having a working product so the user experience is not really much of a priority right now.
