5021  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] [HIGHEST PAY] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: October 21, 2015, 06:37:14 AM
I don't want to sound like an old nag, but can anybody tell me when new campaign members will be added, and if the rejected members get a notification (via PM or on this thread)?
I just want to know if i'll get accepted, or if i have to start looking for a different campaign to sign up to  Smiley

Just wait for Izanagi to come online and he will post here who's in and who's not in this campaign.
I tried to send him a PM before but never got a response so better post here your intentions to join the campaign.

But how long are we supposed to wait? I tried to register before mocacinno, almost 2 days ago, and no answer. Neither here nor in the avatar campaign. Yet both Izanagi and Wangxinxi were online. It doesn't take that long to decide whether or not you accept someone.
Anyway, never mind, I'm joining another campaign.

Same here... I don't mind waiting for 24-48 hours untill i get either accepted or rejected, but +48h  Sad

I signed up for an other signature campaign, i'll retry joining coinut again in the future... I like the rules and agreements Smiley

I posted a request yesterday morning, and was getting a little impatient...

What i would do in case i had some free electricity:

I would buy a second hand ASIC, buy it from a trusted member, and try to get as much hashrate for your buck as possible, and then start mining away.... I think you could ROI pretty fast with an old antminer as long as you don't pay your electric bill  Wink

This is good advice. I small asic will be easy to find on ebay, and keep his room warm without burning up his GPU. Free power is a HUGE plus. And if he burns his GPU, no games!

Indeed, altough i wouldn't buy them on ebay... The price/quality ratio is not always up to par...
I would start my search on this forum, a lot of good stuff changes hands over here. I personally have some good experiences with aliexpress to: the chinese miners sell their hardware that has already ROI'd really cheap sometimes.

All in all, if you decide to follow my advice, please don't hesistate to open a thread and ask our opinions about any type of ASIC you want to purchase. A small thread might save you from buying bad or overpriced hardware  Grin
5025  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining on Rapberry PI on: October 19, 2015, 11:19:46 AM
I keep thinking the will have them in sometime.  Not sure of timeline though.  To be honest if renderings are right I might want a Europe one - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464496.0 . I like owning set's.  So not sure if I will manage to get one of those for decent to US or if they even will sell one to US.

Have you asked the seller in email or anything if they are close?

Actually, i haven't contacted them yet... I might send them a mail and ask for a timeframe tough...

I don't know if they ship to the US either, if they don't ship i can easily buy one for you and send it over (don't mind using an escrow)...

Hello,

To be honest there is not much to research. If you want a stick miner to mine.  Go get one of sidehacks compacs.

No other usb stick can do 8gh let alone 16gh when oc.   Raspberry PI is nice as it uses very little power.

It's just that i know it's rude to ask questions without reading first every topics the members provide Grin

Still this USB device "sidehacks compacs" looks amazing: cheap and as powerful as the big equipments. Any drawback?
Would i have to join the sidehacks pool too? I mean is it just recommended or mandatory?

Thanks again Wink

If i'm not mistaking, sidehack uses the same component as the S7, so there shouldn't be to much downsides Smiley

ps: i THINK i'm correct, but my memory sometimes fails, check the specs before buying a stick Wink

Its actually using the BM1384 chip so not S7.  But what sidehack and novak did was amazing on what the dropped power to.  They truly excelled at this.

It's currently in-between batches but within 2 weeks I think should start shipping.  If your in us it's pretty easy - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1126705.0 . Europe is a little different.

But on the club it is not necessary to join.  It's just a group of us that pooled ours together for fun.  We are solo mining which it's a small chance of hitting it but we have fun doing it together.   The club is really a group that supports sidehacks hardware current and hopefully future Smiley.

I can vouch for the fact that getting a stick in europe isn't easy...

There is one seller AFAIK, but he hasn't sold a single stick so far (still not in stock). I've been checking his site frequently over the past month(s), but nothing so far...

It's a difficult question... I've been scammed for a couple of bucks before. I would suggest to always use an escrow, even for small amounts.

On the other hand, using an escrow for such a small deal might be a waste of his time... If he charges a fee, the fee itself might be higher than the transferred amount.
