Maryland Man Drugs Father to Access His $400,000 in Bitcoin
https://decrypt.co/92072/maryland-man-drugs-father-to-access-his-400000-in-bitcoin

"After his father passed out, Ghershony used his father’s phone to move $400,000 of Bitcoin to an account he could control"

Probably this situation will not become a sensation, but I never understood people who store their bitcoins so that they can be stolen using a mobile phone.By installing any wallet program on your mobile phone, you tell many spyware about your cryptocurrency.

Or better yet, be vocal about it and telling even his close families that he has half a million of bitcoin in that wallet. So this is another good lesson for us, even an average investors shouldn't used their phone as a wallet to store some bitcoin. Maybe just a small amount will do for some micro payments. But putting it all? Better buy a hardware wallet for it.
5022  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 05, 2022, 12:16:43 PM

Good luck, sana panalo pa rin tayo ngayon.

Suns vs Wizards - Babawi ang Suns, hindi pwedeng back to back lost sila, -7.5 din.

Pwede rin parlay para exciting hehehe.
5023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet365 and UFC extended their partnership on: February 05, 2022, 11:19:46 AM
It make sense for the company to extend their partnership to UFC. Big sports right now, and for sure Bet365 will be in front of everything so a exposure again and perhaps based on their impressions, it really contribute to the massive growth they have last year.

We all know that online gambling isa big business right now specially that we are still in the pandemic. So casual and regulars gamblers will have to use online gambling platforms during UFC fights and Bet365 name is on the front.
5024  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: February 05, 2022, 10:45:28 AM
It seems someone is reading this and we've just passed $40,000! That's the spirit folks, let's go to the Moon! I still believe 2022 can be the year of the Bitcoin!
After dropping to its lowest level this year to $30k but today bitcoin has gone up to $41k price and the current price hike must have benefited those who bought bitcoin at that low price, early 2022 put bitcoin on a bit of a slump but I believe and will say so same with you because I believe if this year bitcoin price will bounce back to $50k-$60k.

Yes, we have a good bounce in the last 24 hours, a break out run that we didn't expect, but we sure gonna take this one. And maybe this is the start of the ascend to $50k again, so everyone is getting excited with this run. As we might think that the bulls are back in the market again after hitting lows of $32k early this year. A bounce of $50k-$60k might be just a conservative estimates. If everything is set then we might see the price going to $70k++ at the end of the year.
5025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Zuckerberg sold his cryptocurrency project Diem to Silvergate Bank on: February 05, 2022, 05:23:23 AM
For real? If yes, then it could be actually due to the government made them to do it anyway Facebook made money by selling the project instead of simply closing it but the ban which actually bought can create their own instead of buying an another project. Cheesy

Thanks for the info man.

Most probably this is the reason for the sell, because they know that it won't take off because the government will stop it at all cause.

So the best way to still make money out of the project is to sell it with the IP and everything associate with it. Still they make money, and then the new owner will have the responsibility now on how to market this one to the public without any government agencies on their neck.
5026  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for Feb on: February 05, 2022, 04:50:34 AM
Today was an interesting day. This entire week Bitcoin was correlated with stocks. There were many bad earnings such as Netflix and Facebook and Bitcoin tanked at the same time as the stock markets. And yesterday when Amazon’s earnings came out it also went up with the stock markets.

However this morning the stock market was going down but Bitcoin was going up, it was actually decoupled before later on the stock market caught a bid and went up also.

So it seems many are selling certain stocks and going into bitcoin. So this month looks much more bullish than the last.

Yeah, very interesting movement indeed, I myself belief that there is correlation between the stock market and bitcoin market. But when you said that stock market is down while bitcoin has a recent spike, maybe, just maybe there is some disconnect right now and decoupling. But I don't think we can conclude it right away though, maybe this is just one instance of decoupling. So we will see how things turns out this month, seems to be very bullish to me.
5027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: February 05, 2022, 04:15:00 AM
I never knew that Thurman was such a trash talker until he fought Pacman, but what I like about him is he has the sportsmanship which other boxers don't have, he humbly accepted his defeat after, so I'm sure he will become a champion again because he accepts his defeat so he will improve as a boxer.

Agree, though it was a close fight but he accepted the verdict of the judges, that was what i admired of him also.

BTW, the fight will be tomorrow in our time zone and i have made up my mind to bet for the below  Grin.

As I've  said, ring rust might be a big factor here that Keith Thurman won't be able to KO a taller Barrios.

I knew that you gonna bet on that mate, hehehe. And it's a solid bet to be honest the odds are good and like you have said, ring rust might be a factor for Thurman in this fight. He might be prepared physically with all the training in the gym. But it's different when you are in real fight with all the lights and the fans and this might make you excited that can bring you some flash back of the Pacquiao fan. So he might be timid in the beginning, and very slow.
5028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in Rocket 🚀 mood. on: February 05, 2022, 03:42:11 AM
Not rocket yet, I will say rocket once it move above $50K. The main reason I am assuming investors moving to Bitcoin and leaving some other stock investment. I have seen a couple of companies whose stock price has been dumped hard like Meta. So most probably that investors decide to invest in Bitcoin since the price of Bitcoin was lower. That's what I believe, however no matter the reason for the pump, we need it.

Yes, that is the next big psychological barrier that we have to break again, $50k.

So I wouldn't say that we are in a rocket or going to the moon, it's too early, we've lost so much ground last December that we have to cover for that. At least going to $48k might be the logical target and then $50k. So we will see if this spike will continue, it might slow down a bit though this weekend. But at the start of the second week of this month will be the exciting part for us so let's see how it will pan out.
5029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: February 03, 2022, 09:17:33 PM
And probably that's the definition of sports, not just to compete against each after fair and square. But it's how you gonna bounce after a lost and win again and again. Just like Manny, when he lost to Floyd, we thought that he is done already. But he come back and beat Thurman. Now it's Thurman time, to get back and fight again and reclaim his spot in this very competitive division.

This will be a test to the character of Keith Thurman. A true champion in this sport of sweet science can bounce back after a loss so i think Thurman will handle this hurdle with pride and a mindset of a true champion.

For me, he is one of the legitimate contender for this loaded welterweight division and he could defeat Spence and Crawford if given the chance to fight those champions in the future.

Yes, and this maybe the reason why Keith wanted to come back, the timing is perfect, Spence and Crawford, who is the best right now could be available to him if he will win his fight against Barrios.

And he himself said that those two are the top right now and it will be a big challenge for him to fight them. But he has a big hurdle first to overcome and if wins over Barrios then wait for the winner of Spence vs Ugas or go directly to Crawford.

As for the ring rust, it's two fold, sometimes the fighter that takes a lot of break can come back strong and rejuvenated.
5030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 03, 2022, 08:39:38 PM
Johnson, Bridges, Booker and Paul were on fire from Phoenix Suns in yesterday's match against Brooklyn Nets. Suns own the match. Brooklyn Nets was able to lead the 3rd round but yes Suns lead 3 round, 1, 2 and 4. The 1st round helped Suns to lead the match. Only 10 points differed for Nets to win the match. There were lovely quick passes within players in Suns team. Suns' next match is going to be with Hawks. Hope Suns will continue with their best performance.

And they will continue the next game and the odds favorite to win against the Hawks. Although this is a road game, the Suns with Booker and Paul looks very solid even at a hostile crowd. They could start slow though and then put on the pedal around 3rd quarter to put a good separation. So I expect them to continue and extend their winning streak here.
5031  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 03, 2022, 06:42:13 AM

5032  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 01, 2022, 04:12:41 AM

Good luck sa ating lahat.

5033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best tokens for arbitrage trading? on: February 01, 2022, 03:21:32 AM
Is arbitrage trading still a thing today?
Not anymore but someone there are newbies that sees it as a method but they don't know that it's no longer a thing today.

Arbitrage trading is likely rare these days. You get to compare the rates of exchanges, locally and internationally and you're lucky enough if you get to see the opportunity with it.

Newbies are probably the ones who think that arbitrage trading is still a thing until now because they haven't experienced how it became an easy source of money back then but eventually fizzled out. Nowadays, with a price difference of only a few cents, it is impractical to get into such trading. The fees itself might even be enough to kill potential profit. And knowing how volatile the crypto market is, the moment the tokens arrive the price might already have moved significantly.
Yeah, maybe they're the only ones these days.

Because if you've been quite long in the market you'll realize that there's not that much talk about it and it's quite hard to do it these days. But if someday is still able to do this type of trading.

Well, he's got a sure profit as he trades and probably shuts his mouth so that no one would notice even the exchanges.

Arbitrage trading fizzled out not only because it became less profitable in an organic way but also because exchanges themselves made sure prices are not that different from each other. This is probably one of the reasons why exchanges themselves are involved in making bid and ask orders. And not only that, they are also involved in filling those orders. So I doubt arbitrage trading will once again play a role in the crypto market.

Yep, exchanges found about this so called arbitrage trading and close the gap. And then bots comes along, pushing the boundaries, and then it's a war of bots now. But for sure the days are gone already, no where you will get profits from arbitrage trading.

Maybe the OP got it from someone that is not telling the truth or just wanted some money from him to play and trade in this game.
5034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 31, 2022, 03:31:16 PM
I also checked bookies that I usually bet and it's weird that the fight odd is not listed when fights that is months from now are already there. Maybe there is no hype in this fight, nevertheless, we still have weeks before the actual fight and maybe as the fight gets closer to the date, sport bookies are going to open the line. And I wouldn't be surprise if Ancajas will be the slight favorite. And this could be the another must watch fight for Philippines.

You already said the reasons already, no hype for this fight, but for us I would say hard core fans of Filipino boxing definitely we are awaiting for this fight and are eager to put a bet on our boy Jerwin Ancajas.

Nonetheless, the probability that it will be listed is very high, so we just need patience. Just like any other fight that involves Filipino fighters that doesn't have odds early present in our favorite sport bookies, this might be open up days before the date of the fight, so stay tune.
5035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 31, 2022, 12:36:06 PM

Oh yes, if they provide entertaining fight, expect to have another money fight to whoever wins this fight. Though it's still depends on the outcome of this fight and we will wait to see if both former champs still have their fighting abilities to shine, for now, all will be judged when these two meet inside the ring and start throwing punches.

I do hope to see a toe to toe exchanges of punches to add up with the entertaining part of this sport, for sure fans will love to see that. Roll Eyes Wink
Even if we like to see a toe to toe fighting I don't think Khan is willing to engage Brook has a powerful right straight, Khan's advantage is his speed, the only way can win against Brook is to do hit and run just like he did against powerful puncher but this time he needs good stamina so he can run in the whole fight once he goes toe to toe Brook will work on his uppercuts, Brooks has done a lot of damage with his uppercuts on his past fights.

And ever since Amir Khan is already exposed that he has a weak chin, I don't he is that confident anymore to fight toe to toe exchanging blows. It is probably also advised from his team to avoid trading powerful blows with Kell Brook. Kell Brook has strong punches that could knock Khan out unconscious.

Of course I don't believe that Khan will just run and run the entire fight like Mayweather but I also don't think he will brawl as if he's got a chin of steel. He will probably just maintain a safe distance with his jabs.

He has to change his style, he cannot go toe to toe already knowing he has a weak chin. I think he has to improve a bit and be quicker so he can score and avoid getting KO by his opponent, I know he has some good talent in boxing, he can use that but like I said, he has to avoid to fight toe to toe, he has to be smart all the time, never use his emotion, instead, always stick to the game plan.

I'm thinking that other way around though. I think with this fight, a lot is at stake and I don't see Khan running away, but instead will go toe to toe and prove that he can still fight and beat his rival in Kell Brook.

So there will be times in the fight that he will brawl and then maybe can get successes. But Kell Brook has a good chin and again, if he touch Khan during that brawl, maybe Khan will go down or at least barely standing, just like in the Maidana fight
5036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 31, 2022, 11:13:45 AM
I like the odds on Thurman by KO win. I think Keith will go for a big win here and show the world that he is definitely back. Sort of sending messages to the rest of the welterweight that he is back to reclaim his title (and this is what he is saying when he is being interviewed for this fight).

So it doesn't matter what round will Thurman get the KO, maybe it going to be in late rounds.
But still, it will be a hard fight in the beginning for him, a lot of adjustments and then if the KO is there, he will go for it.

It's somehow expected that Thurman will go berserk mode in either the middle rounds or late rounds because in the first few rounds he'll probably overcome the ringrust effect first before he can fight comfortably and confidently. But sure that won't be a problem to him as he's a former world champion. Both fighters are so dedicated and determined to win this match, they have their own reasons why and we probably know that already, anyway we will see it soon.

Not only that, but Thurman is a slow starter, just like in the Manny fight. He started very slow and then get's how in the mid rounds but it was not enough as Manny has build a good lead in the fight.

So we will see if he will change this (but I highly doubt it), and we all know that ring rust will play a big factor for him in this fight. So probably he will just coast early trying to shake his ring rust and then if he found openings in the middle rounds then he can go and start for there.
5037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 31, 2022, 10:30:35 AM
I don't think so, it's a country and 400 bitcoin in my opinion isn't a lot of money that it can make a dent in their treasury to the point that they're going to resort to having debt or borrowing money to supplement what was left by buying those bitcoins, I mean bitcoin is probably just a small aspect of the money that El Salvador is being spent into so there's probably other things that have made their debt bigger but that doesn't mean that those bitcoin didn't play any role.

At the current price, it's more or less $15 million, so yes it's not a lot of money. If they invested like billions so that could be questionable and maybe they could really be affected by the price drop. We all know that it is a huge gamble for El Salvador's president, but it's a calculated risk. The rewards might not be seen today, but it could be the returns in the next bull run could be huge dividends and that is the time that we can say that his experiment has succeeded.
5038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 31, 2022, 09:30:43 AM
I blame Frank Vogel. He used to be one of my favorite coaches before this year, but he’s absolutely terrible for the Lakers. A team with 5 hall of famers and Malik Monk is leading them… Dwight Howard playing at a top level and getting next to no minutes is downright disrespectful. If Frank Vogel is still the Lakers coach after the all star break then I’ll be shocked. He’s a great guy and like I said one of my favorite coaches, but he’s got to go if the Lakers want to have a chance of getting beyond the first round of the playoffs, and to be honest if he’s the coach I don’t see them getting past the play-in game.

I'm not sure why Vogel even deserved the credit for the Lakers winning.

Maybe they are still giving him the chance now because of the championship he brought to the Lakers in the bubble.

But yeah, it's definitely time to swap him out for someone else with fresh ideas and a better leader in my opinion. It's not an easy job and definitely not for anyone so the Buss family needs to choose wisely.

But honestly, the championship chances with LeBron at the helm is slim - he is aging at the end of the day.

True, I doubt that the Lakers could won the first round of playoffs if ever they qualify for this season. Maybe his system is no longer working and iits time for the Lakers to have a fresh start with no coach.

As for Lebron's chances, definitely gonna hurt him this season. At the beginning they are the favorite to win the championship but look at where they are right now.
5039  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: January 31, 2022, 03:02:50 AM

5040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 30, 2022, 02:40:52 PM
Now we can talk about betting again, hoping for the fully recovery of Casimero since I’m rooting for him and I still want him to see fighting Inoue after this match.

For betting, we will not see a good odds for Casimero as he is a champion.

I hope betting to him by Decision or Knockout will have a good odds so while we are cheering for Casimero, we will also have a chance to win a good amount in return.

Casimero @ 1.5 vs Butler @3 will be my odds speculation on that fight.

I speculate that it might be lower than that, so yeah, I agree with most posters that it's not worth to bet on the ML line for Casimero.

But for sure there will be other betting options for us and that's where the money is. And if you are really lucky betting on the exact round to which Casimero might win, it will be huge win.
