5041  Economy / Economics / Re: Rookie thing. on: April 21, 2020, 11:50:01 PM
1. There is no question about Fiat money (whatever it is $, £ or euro.) thats its losing it's value, so the question is.
I think we don't talk about Fiat only but talking about physical currency. Even if Fiat is no longer exist, we still have coins currency made from gold or silver or copper. So, don't worry about losing values of physical currency as the chance is almost impossible for me. In addition, we cannot use digital currency in all situation, how if there will be no internet. And still many other challenges or obstacles to apply it as a single currency.
5042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Analyst: "Covid-19 Could Spur More States to Legalize Online Casino" on: April 21, 2020, 11:26:08 PM
Regarding traditional Casinos, they should continue their activities once the Covid19 is controlled. Some many employees and businesses benefit from its activities and it is an important piece in the development of the tourism sector.

But you still didn't answer the question above, buddy.

Do you agree the government will legalize online gambling? If yes, will traditional (land) casinos survive?

What's your answer @verita1?

Well. In my opinion, traditional casinos will survive because they have already had regular visitors (gamblers). Moreover, some of them are established casinos with great popularity. So, I believe the legalization of online gambling seems to not have big impacts on them. In addition, traditional casinos have something different than online gambling. You won't see crowded people, magnificent building, and play directly on the games on online gambling.
5043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 21, 2020, 10:42:16 PM
Its really dumb for you not to think about your family needs when it comes to money spending towards gambling. Risking your living or needs because of your addiction? It sounds crazy but this one is actually happening.
It is very sad to hear a gambler forgets his family and just focus on gambling. I think it is more than addiction but I can't get the word to describe it. Well, maybe we can call it 'severe addiction'. This type of gambler must visit a therapist or mental health doctors. He needs a special treatment and serious handling. The common suggestions won't work to them as it is already classified a severe addiction.
5044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on stable coins? on: April 21, 2020, 10:28:06 PM
Stable coins are coins that have same value over a long period of time
Even if the name is "stable", it doesn't mean to have the same value in a long time. Stable coins also have volatility but the volatility is low. So, the price can move or change like others, but yes the change will be quite small. Don't misunderstand that the price will be the same for a long time, it may change even in a day. Kindly take a look for the price of Tether or USD Coin on some exchanges.

Look at the definition below:
Quote
Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies designed to minimize the volatility of the price of the stablecoin, relative to some "stable" asset or basket of assets.

5045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does success mean? on: April 20, 2020, 11:58:59 PM
Depending on whose view. Here is the simple meaning of success in my own humble opinion.
1. Developers : They can reach all the goals of the project and be successful as the targets.
2. Investors : They can invest in good coins with high volume on top exchanges. And the project is likely to last a long time with its quality.
3. Bounty/airdrop hunters : They can get free coins and available to trade in any exchanges.
5046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: April 20, 2020, 11:48:21 PM
Budgeting these days is hard, I feel you guys that's why I stopped gambling for a quite while now since I am prioritizing our necessity.
Stop online gambling or physical gambling only? or both?  Grin
I think you still can play online gambling with a smaller amount. Moreover, if it doesn't need fiat but just a small amount of crypto coins. Sure, we mus prioritize the necessity but it doesn't mean to lose the entertainment. You know, some people stated that playing gambling is one of the source to have fun. As it is getting serious and stressful by lock-down, sometimes we need an entertainment.
5047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Share] Biggest wins in online Casinos on: April 20, 2020, 11:39:29 PM
I appreciate the research done by OP but maybe it's better to discuss instead the biggest wins in online "crypto" casinos compare to fiat casinos winners for a sole reason that we are in a crypto-gambling forum.
Thank you, buddy. I know that we are in crypto gambling forum but I think as long as it is about gambling and it is a good information, why don't to share it. But I like your idea to compare the wins between fiat and crypto casinos. I will try to find out the more information later.

I think it is wrong information, AFAIK Mega Moolah slot comes from Microgaming provider instead of NetEnt.
I have corrected it (check OP). I agree it should be Mega Fortune as those articles stated "NetEnt". Thanks buddy.

OP, another addition to the list
- 10.7 Mill Jackpot won this month - https://www.microgaming.co.uk/News/Microgamings-Mega-Moolah-awards-10-million-plus-euro-jackpot
I will look into the article and look for more information about it. Will add it to OP once it's done. Thanks buddy.

5049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 19, 2020, 12:52:22 PM
Regardless of the nation's culture, this is so wrong.

Who said it is about the nation's culture?
Malawi's government didn't make the regulation based on the culture.
As far as I know, the reason is about "children don't know the function/meaning of money".

Quote
Children aged five are permitted in casinos. That is because the younger children (babies) do not know the meaning of money.

Guys, I think we are enough to discuss about this topic. Unfortunately, most replies are only talking about Malawi's gambling regulation. And I saw there were already too many replies almost with the same meaning/point. This will lead more spams, so I decide to LOCK this thread. However, I am so glad to have many responses/replies, thanks guys.  Smiley
5050  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Share] Biggest wins in online Casinos on: April 19, 2020, 11:55:40 AM
I have used "search feature" to find out the history of "biggest wins in online Casinos" on this section. But I didn't see any threads discussing about it. Hence, I have the intention to share the information about it today. In my perception, this is something interesting to know by all gamblers as it is one of the part of history in gambling.

Actually, there are a lot of articles that provide the information if we google and use the keyword of "top or biggest wins" in online Casinos. However, sometimes not all people realize it or try to know the specific information like this. Well, let's see and know how much people ever won the prizes in Casinos.

1. A lucky member of Grand Mondial Casino, won €18,915,872.
Finally, there has been breaking record of Jonathon Heywood as the biggest jackpot on Mega Moolah. That is a very lucky member winning the jackpot of Mega Moolah slot in over around 3 months. It happened in 28 September 2018 when that player spin the reels jackpot slot of the Mega Moolah. One of members of Grand Mondial Casino won €18,915,872 (CA $28,122,984).

2. Jonathon Heywood, won £17,879,645.
Around about 3 years later, in 6th October 2015, a British soldier from Cheshire, UK, named Jonathon Heywood, won a great jackpot in BetWay Casino. He won £17,879,645 or about $20 million at that time. His winning jackpot was recorded as the largest jackpot in the online-slot-machine game.

3. Finn, won €17,861,800.
He was 40 year old man who put a 25-cent bet on the Mega Fortune game of PAF, Scandinavian betting company. He won the best €17,861,800 (or around $20 million) in 20 January 2013. This winning becomes one of the biggest jackpot win ever in online casino.

4. A Norwegian student, won €11,736,228.
A lucky boy from Norway got the prizes €11,736,228 (around $13.3 million) on Betsson.com on September 24, 2011. At that time, he really didn't expect to be a millionaire. He just played Mega Fortune games because he couldn’t sleep. But what he got, he won the jackpot with huge prizes.

5. Alexander, won €8,577,204.
Alexander, a 30 year old man from Sweden, won the prizes €8,577,204 (about $9.57 million) on November 28, 2015. He played Mega Fortune at night, then he was surprised that he got a message about winning a huge jackpot.

6. A female player,  D.P, won €7.9 million.
In August 2016, an anonymous player, initials D.P, have won €7.9 million on Mega Moolah. She played the game on a mobile device. There is no specific information about the location and player’s age, but we can conclude that it was a female player.

5051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 18, 2020, 11:56:11 PM
I might say, you can not achieve self control when you don't have a mindset of a responsible gambler.
And what the mindset of a responsible gambler exactly? Can you describe it, buddy?
In my newbie perception, being a responsible gambler means you must know the priority of your funds and can manage it properly. For example, you will limit your funds to play daily, so if you have spent the money allocated for gambling that day, you kindly stop playing gambling at that time and play again tomorrow. Is that thing you mean above, buddy?
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: April 18, 2020, 11:11:29 PM
This is not really a piece of good advice for an ordinary gambler but those who are not in limitation of resources, maybe they can.
For me betting doubled isn't a good decision both for them who have limited and lot of funds. The result is still the same, too risky and seems just following emotion. I think betting normally is more than enough if you have a luck to win, so why need to betting doubled. Even you still have much money, but it is better to think effective way and do wise decision.
5053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Up or Down, People Hodl on: April 18, 2020, 07:55:14 PM
-snip
From these data, we can see a very significant increase in one year's vulnerability. From Q1 of 2019 to Q1 of 2020, the numbers show a 10-times increase. Is this great progress, isn't this? This proves that the trend of Bitcoin is getting bigger and bigger. More and more numbers of BTC and people involved in it, both deposits and withdrawals.

Regardless of which direction the price moves, deposits have exceeded withdrawals.
And in my opinion, the amount of the deposit that is bigger than the withdrawal is good news. This means that more and more BTC are deposited. And of course this means that BTC is indeed a worthy coin of long-term hold and investment. Of course, especially when Bitcoin halving will happen soon. This might also be one reason.

5054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum going upwards brace yourself, and simply hodl now. on: April 18, 2020, 07:44:28 PM
..I do believe that we shall witness more upward movements soon in Ethereum prices, and hopefully it’ll break the $200 mark by April end and then continue it’s upwards journey.
Is this just hype that makes us feel very happy with this news? Is this confirmed? Or is this the same as other hype issues that will only last a while?

Unfortunately, we are often told to this news, and in fact, this is only temporary and can not be ascertained. Therefore, it would be better if we are wiser in addressing such issues. We may be grateful and happy at all, but still in a normal condition and do not panic sell / buy. Stay abreast of market developments, progress analysis shown in Ethereum's coin market chart.

Beyond that, basically, Ethereum is a coin that is truly trusted and good for us to have. It is a worth it coin as well.

Ethereum has suddenly decided that’s it going to banish coronavirus blues for us and make us all happy
What will make us very happy and relieved is that when this coronavirus is ended, we can live well and normally again, no worry everywhere and be safe and calm in doing all activities around the world.
5055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good capital managemt is important on: April 17, 2020, 11:48:52 PM
I do not think capital management is needed in the crypto currency trading sphere.
It is needed, buddy!
You should have a good management to optimize your funds unless you do not know whether losing or making a profit. Also, funds or money management can minimize trading risks, optimize a chance for higher profits, or avoid severe losses.

5056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 17, 2020, 11:12:20 PM
I don't know anybody who constantly makes money in trading on the stock exchange or in casinos, or at bets! So I think that daytrading and gambling can easily be called similar..
I don't think there is someone who can earn daily in betting or casinos. AFAIK, we don't always win in each attempt in gambling. While in trading, you can earn daily if you don't target too high for profits. On the other side, some gambling games such as dice or slot, require no specific skills since they are luck-based. In trading, especially in day trading, we need specific skills to optimize the chance of profits. You cannot trade with careless skills & no knowledge in trading yet it will lead to losing only. So, how can we conclude they are the same?
5057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus crypto on: April 17, 2020, 10:36:29 PM
COVID19 has no effect on the crypto market
What's the reason, boy?
While all people stated that the negative trend on crypto market was caused by Covid-19, you even denied it. It's interesting to know your own theory, please tell us, boy!

In my own view, indeed Covid-19 brings effects to crypto market. Look at the fact! Since Covid-19 spread around the world, the values of crypto coins/tokens are getting down. Moreover, it may ruin the positive trend on Bitcoin halving as many people doubt it if Covid-19 still continues.

Do you still think there is no impact on crypto market? @camport
5058  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [HATI-HATI] Salah Satu Exchange Yang Harus Kamu Hindari on: April 17, 2020, 10:14:54 PM

Kenapa gak masuk akal? Wajar kalau webnya harus bagus, supaya terlihat meyakinkan dan orang-orang percaya itu bukan exchanger abal-abal.

Coba tambahkan ini juga di atas: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5093594.0
5059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 16, 2020, 11:49:36 PM
..I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume..
I also have heard the same, many new tokens listed there are heading to shitcoins, with great volume at the beginning, pump and dump price. But then, it is going end to be shitcoin. But well, probably not all coins there.

but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3
Basically, CoinMarketCap is the most leading and the biggest tracker for cryptocurrencies and exchanges that are mostly visited. So far, we often use this site to know the progress and as the reference by traders and investors. However, fake volume has become the general issues so far. It is one of the weakness of CMC that still list the shit exchanges to the top.

However now, CMC has been acquired by Binance. Hopefully, they will be more professional, better in listing, and also decreasing the fake volumes and exchanges or coins.

So far, even though CMC still has weakness, I more often use CMC than CoinGecko.
5060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: April 16, 2020, 11:23:25 PM
both of them are not fast to get income because we have to wait according to the roadmap,
How about airdrop paid in top altcoins? I experienced it and the payment is much faster than bounty. Once you finished the task, then they will send you the payment. But the payment is small amount as the task is quite easy. However, we are talking about "fast to earn", yes airdrop can be faster. While the bounty sometimes needs to wait till the IEO or ICO ends.

between airdrop and bounty certainly have different number of tokens
True, commonly the token rewards on bounty are bigger than airdrops. That makes sense because the task of bounty is harder than airdrop and it must do weekly. This is one of the reason why people prefer to choose bounty. They can earn more tokens even if they must do harder works and wait longer to get the rewards.
