Mastercard keeps searching for ways to provide a better service...

There is huge competition in the electronic cash and digital payment methods industry. It is logical that they will try to find another way of making one step ahead of the competition and that will place them in No.1 rank among its competitors. I hope that more companies in this sector would do the same and push mass blockchain adoption to its max.
5042  Economy / Economics / Re: Will 2019 take us to Moon or Mars? on: January 15, 2019, 10:08:58 AM
Looking back at 2017 and 2018, one thing became clear and that is the never die attitude of the true Bitcoin investor/user. We are as stubborn and tough as a Honey Badger and we fight to the bitter end.

Ask yourself if any other disruptive technology like Bitcoin would have survived this long, bearing in mind that we are being attacked and challenged from all sides. <Governments and Banks and competitor coins>  Huh

We took these challenges like scaling and we ran with it and our developers came up with a novel solution <Lightning Network> and now we are getting back up and running with that.

Let's wake the Honey Badger within us and continue the fight to Bitcoin to Mars!  Wink

I believe that Bitcoin will sustain till mass adoption as it has survived all this malevolent governments that try to shut it down. It will never die and it is here to change the world.
At least, blockchain technology is going to disrupt many industries if not all of them as it has already attract some eyes from companies that are big players in their fields.
5043  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: January 15, 2019, 09:44:55 AM
Gold is not an investment. It is an alternative of saving and storing the value of your money. No one became rich by buying gold, because only rich people buy it.

If we own a gold miner then thats an investment, capital is deployed in working operations for profit or loss and so we are invested in business.   Just holding a plain currency gives me no part in that production, the people who hold US Dollar notes are creditors to a debt at best but have no yield or return or rights for that note as its not linked to any contract worth.

Exactly. The term "investment" is connected in with the production of wealth or with something that brings value to the economy, in my mind. If you hold gold/bitcoin/oil or any other commodity you are not an investor as you don't contribute to the value-added chain of economic growth. The same I could say with any kind of fiat money.
5044  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling by Staking,EOS and TRON, How do we do it? on: January 14, 2019, 07:13:51 PM
I am new to EOS and TRON DApp staking games, and want to venture into it. Can I make passive income from it as most articles online point out to. Any strategy from an experience trader will be appreciated.

Your post is not totally clear to me but I can give you two options of making passive income (at least it works at TRON).

1. You can gamble in online TRON casinos. TRON casinos act like mining places where you mine their native coins, you freeze them and you get dividend payouts based on the number of native coins you have in your wallet. Mining has to do with wagering

What does mining have to do with wagering here?

And what do you mean by mining their native coins? How is it supposed to work exactly and what do Tron coins have to do with that in the first place? If it is possible with Tron, why is it not possible with Bitcoin, for example? If I got it right, it involves POS staking but I still don't quite understand the economic model behind the operation of these casinos. Can you explain this in greater detail, please?

There are casino dApps in the TRON network that wagering works like mining. To be more precise, the online casino rewards you with its coin for placing bets there. When you freeze their coin, you are eligible to get dividends. For example, you get 500 X coins from wagering then you freeze these 500 and get the respective amount of dividends in TRX payout.
An example of such casino is Tronbet.io you can visit their website and read more about their model.

I have tried many bookmakers but my favorite one is bet365.com, but everybody have his own experience with each booky. Am i with since 2015 and never have bad experience, may be its not your case. For me, they are very pro and have fast withdraw time when you want to pullout your earning. I love their "Bet Builder" and give you ability to build any bet you want. Personality, when i compare them with other 5 bookies where i also have account, they are best and more flexible.
Thks for your comment and if you have any question, be free to ask me.

I know that they offer a huge variety of bet options more than anyone else and indeed they have a fast withdraw time. Maybe what I have faced with bet365 could be the same with any other bookmaker. They locked my account after winning a big bet and they set a limited amount of money that i can play daily.
5046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where we are now with Gambling on: January 14, 2019, 06:46:03 PM
30 years ago when I became old enough to be allowed into gambling
establishments I played all sorts of games, poker, 21, poker machines,
one arm bandits. I remember the atmosphere in the "clubs", the sound
if the machines, the multicoloured lights, the sound of coins being
paid out, the cigarette smoke, the sticky carpet, the chat, the laughter
and the giving out as people went bust.

Today its a different scene or there is no scene. I visited a club last
night while out socialising and it was dead to the point where I wonder
how the club is able to stay open.

Since the creation of smartphones gambling is now 24/7, 365 days a year
Its so easy and convenient anyone can get involved and everyone is
targeted.

I think that there was a trend from the past years that people who visited casinos were rich or that only the rich can go there and play. Now, with the advent of online casinos/ cryptocurrency gambling etc. , gambling is open to a wider range of people from different classes. Anyone can try it without even having to commute far away and drive kilometers in order to place bets and enjoy.

I've finished target for DAy 11, and suprise happended, The profit jump over what i expected. So after today, i've finished target for 2 more days, so lucky right?? https://youtu.be/3N2X84rVniI
Profit now is ~30%. Still have 2/3 Journey have to go!!

When I first saw your post I didn't expect that you will manage to gain profits from your strategy and now that I came back I saw that you have been 11 days with profit which is amazing.
You have a long road to go but even if you touch the 1/2 of the journey successfully you are still a winner! Have you thought of cashing out some gains when reaching a certain milestone?
5048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: January 14, 2019, 05:37:55 PM
What are the strategies you believe which can brings to win for you even though in the practical there is no strategy from you.Just speak from your heart. Cheesy

My strategy is to play two or three bets with small bets,if I win something hen I believe I am lucky today so I will continue few more bets and sometimes it helps too. Kiss

I am playing for many years, and gambling in different games. I still haven't found any strategy that may be proven profitable. I usually play for fun and try to find games that last many minutes with one bet in order not to be eligible for placing too many bets that will make me lose my money.

Stop betting when you win and stop twice when you are losing.
This is my strategy!

I haven't an account in bet365, I have heard the worst about them. If they see you winning too much games they set you a limit in the amount of money you can bet.

I loved your thread from the time I saw that you are not just playing 1-x-2 but you place special bets with goals etc. I will observe the thread and see if you have a good success rate ( i don't expect a 100%) and ever after I am going to follow your bets. I don't know a lot about football, so I think I can be helped a little bit from you.

2. Another option is to vote for a representative. You have to freeze your TRX balance and get a 1:1 vote. The more votes you have the more rewards you will get. You won't have a huge passive income but it is a starter.

I believe you wanted to know about the 1st option, If it is not clear, I would be happy to help you more!
5051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: January 14, 2019, 01:51:06 PM
Very few gamblers now are actually gambling for fun. I can say that I'm gambling for fun and spends few satoshi's that I want but there are times that I'm losing my control and just crave to gamble for bigger amount.

Playing/gambling online can be the cure to those people that are going through a depression and anxiety. It's a good idea for them but if not moderated, monitored and controlled it will result to a very bad ending.

Gambling helps a lot if someone feels depressed or lonely. Indeed, measures need to be taken in order to avoid bad results that may end up in a worse situation than depression. From my personal experience, I just play small portions in my bets in order to have a longer period of playing gambling games and having fun and I take over my difficult situations.

What if one is feeling depressed and lonely and he decided to play gambling, Instead of wining he lost there too, this will be much more worse for a person who is already in tension. Playing casino is good idea when you are feeling normal so that you may fully concentrate on the game.

It will make things worse only if this person tries to win and have a profit. I think the best approach is to see gambling as a way of having some company and spend some time together. It is entertaining and it could be seen only this way. If someone expects to get some earnings in order to feel happy then yes, there is a problem that it has just been exaggerated.
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First fully-licensed and provably fair online casino - EOSBet on: January 14, 2019, 01:39:16 PM
I cannot understand how a blockchain casino can be fully - licensed. Forgive me if I am not mistaken is there a difference between an online casino and a blockchain casino in terms of getting a license?
Apart from that, EOS is a blockchain that provides high levels of transaction speed, thus it is great to see casino and gambling dApps on the chain. And also the dividend feature makes it very attractive.
5053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My 2 cents on: January 14, 2019, 01:14:15 PM
This is just my two cents on bitcoin gambling.

I made quite a bit of money back in December when the bitcoin price was roaring. I quit my job since then and been obsessed with bitcoin investment.

Things didn't turned out as people hoped . Bitcoin price went downhill and i started to chase my loss. How ? Yeah, as stupid as this may sound.. Bitcoin Dice sites. I have lost over $50k in past years gambling in dice sites like Primedice, Bitsler & Yolodice. My personal life was devastated with sights of depression and bad relationship with my wife.

It was almost like i was somebody else when i click that auto roll. The adrenaline was like a drug that got me high. As much as i regret quitting my job and betting high on auto roll I learnt to forgive myself.

My advice to you guys is that betting minimum on 2X with 100% increase on loss will NEVER pay your bill.

Ι hope 50k was not an amount of money that will risk your life. And i hope you can make yourself up again and quit gambling.
You made some wrong decisions, I thought as well that Bitcoin is something that I should devote my time to, but now I can see that at this period of time it is only a way to get some side income. Believe in yourself that you can quit gambling and don't play dice anymore and you will make it.
5054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: January 14, 2019, 12:17:23 PM
i want to know did you make profit in gambling or lost and i know 99% people lost their money in gambling Gambling is only for fun not a way to make money what you think Gamblers Wink Always Gamble what you afford to Lose Don't Give up LOL

I feel sad that you realized that gambling is only for fun and not for making profit after losing 10 BTC in gambling. May I know which was the game you were playing and you lost?
I hope this amount of money was something you could afford and it didn't make a negative impact on your life causing problems etc. It is very difficult to make profits from gambling and thank you for sharing your experience here in order to be an example for other gamblers.
5055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 14, 2019, 12:06:54 PM
Just heard...  Coutinho is potentially gonna be the most hated man in Liverpool next season.  Find out why.  Lol.  I hope it pushes thru cos it's gonna be so hilarious.
Why, is he going to Manchester United? He is not going to Everton is he? That would be a fun city derby next season.
According to some rumours, Manchester United are keen on getting him, probably for the next season.

Not sure how I feel about this one...On one hand, Coutinho's performances with Barcelona have been mediocre, a couple of good games here and there but overall, he's too incosistent so I wouldn't be surprised if Valverde doesn't want him on the team. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe that Coutinho would want to go to Liverpool's biggest rival in the EPL, but you never know.

It is a curse when a player from Premier League joins Barcelona. He underperforms and in a short period of time, he is in the transfer plans of the team. A recent example is Cesc Fabregas.
As far as United is concerned, I think that they are good at the attacking part. They need to make more solid their defense and maybe a Defensive midfielder is necessary as well.
5056  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bad "good" news. on: January 14, 2019, 12:02:19 PM
Friends, the news background on the crypto market has been very active lately, and in a rather positive way, but not every good news is true. How does this affect your investments and strategy on the market? How to protect against fakes?

This is going to be a usual feature in the cryptocurrency market due to the fact that it is decentralized. Given that, everyone says its own opinion and most of the times this is just speculation and after days they are proven wrong or fake. I have stopped reading the news because it is not clear who tells the truth and who is not. Just follow your own feeling combined with information from inside the project itself.
5057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ICO's a good option? on: January 14, 2019, 11:40:20 AM
It is not a good option since the market conditions right now are very bad. Even if the ICO has a great plan with a great team and a well-written whitepaper it is possible not to reach its funding goals. Investors are now very cautious and they wait for the Bitcoin price to go up and eventually take the whole cryptocurrency market upwards.
5058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: January 14, 2019, 11:18:34 AM
Many gamblers who suffer from gambling addiction try to think that way, that they are paying the casio. to use their games and to have some fun. However I have seen a colleague of mine who tried to quit gambling by playing free simulators in the internet , Gaminators and Hot fruits simulators and told me , this is it, now I can quit gambling easily.

The reality though was that after playing with simulators for one week he then got to the casino and lost a big amount. The only true way to quit is to ask professional help.

For some people, this may work. It depends on how do you see the casino you are playing. If you are more focused on the profits that you gain (even if these profits are fake) then you have a problem, like your friend. If you are focused on the procedure and not in the amount that you want to accumulate then you can find a way of not losing your money. I think this solution doesn't have application to all gamblers.
5059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future blockchain on: January 14, 2019, 11:15:05 AM
Even if 10 years have passed since the first release of Bitcoin's whitepaper, which brought this tide of blockchain project and it went widely known, there is still a lot of room for improvement in order to describe it as successful.
Web 3.0 is a step towards the implementation and adoption of this technology in everyday applications but I think that in the future mid 2025, we are about to see a more improved environment with dApps all around us.
5060  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: January 14, 2019, 09:58:16 AM
I hope they will come back to gold because i am doing the same thing because the profits i am making with cryptocurrency will help me to buy more gold. In this way, our investment will be in safe hands instead of just keeping them completely in cryptocurrency.

Gold is a traditional investment with a very small price increase, I am sure that gold investors are rich people who are used as long-term investments and they already have strong finance so they will not sell gold in the short term.

But you said that it has a very small price increase... How gold investors are going to be rich? By accumulating the small fractions of the price increase year by year?
Gold is not an investment. It is an alternative of saving and storing the value of your money. No one became rich by buying gold, because only rich people buy it.
