Chelsea vs Man City is so thrilling...
the Chelsea squad must be ready in terms of mentality and stamina.

Quote
Michael Owen thinks that Man City will actually lift the Champions League trophy. Owen thinks The Citizens will take revenge for their defeat in domestic competition.
well Owen, as a Chelsea supporter I appreciate your prediction, but see tomorrow how Chelsea will lift the trophy and make you cry Cheesy
Manchester Utd defeat in Europa League then City to lose? I don't think so. Both Manchester's teams to get nothing is unlikely to happen imo. I was feeling that Manchester will be reddish and blueish, well ManU failed me (and my bet), so I am going for City. I will see the first minutes tho before placing my bet Wink
5042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran bans Bitcoin too on: May 28, 2021, 06:00:29 PM
Misleading title of the topic.
-snip-
The government needs to find ways as it is there obligations to their people, it isn't personal with the mining industry but more on the issues with country's power shortage.
Iran endorses mining activity and I think it is backed by gov tol as a way to pass sanctions even partially. The problem is when random people and non-gov companies are mining too and the level of electricity consumption jumps a lot at a point there will be electricity shortage then prohibiting them from mining in the hot summer can make things better for their electricity system. Of course if the gov is mining too, it won't shut its own Wink

If it's only temporary ban, then i don't think there will be any impact from that, even if there is, it wouldn't be to significant. Ae you said, Iran is not that big name, not trying to look down Iran, but unlike china who hold a big power in the economy, and will be able to impact things, Iran doesn't have the same impact. Even, the dip from China is still bearable though, not that severe that we're desperate for it. I guess everything will be just fine.
It is a temporary ban. No Iran has a weight in the mining ecosystem, 4% if I am not mistaken.
China is another complicated story and has a heavier weight indeed.
5043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a Chinese, talk about my views on the new policy on: May 27, 2021, 06:15:03 PM
1. Due to the arrival of the Bitcoin bull market, many Chinese have joined the Bitcoin market, but most of them have never even heard of Nakamoto. This sounds very ridiculous, but this is the status quo in China. This part of investors has pushed the price of currencies such as doge to rise, but when the price plummets, they are likely to harm society because of losses.
Although not seeing a clear relation about knowing Nakamoto or not but your statement needs to based on some kind of survey..

2. The popularity of Bitcoin mining, as Musk said, has had a negative impact on the environment and energy, forcing the Chinese government to crack down on Bitcoin mining.
China never cared about environmental issues and when it reduced its polluted emissions last year, the ozone layer healed.

3. China's current development focus is still on the real economy, and the excessive inflow of funds into financial fields such as digital currency is not in China's interests.
Only when it comes to its interest then it is ok.

Be sure to seize the opportunity to sell Bitcoin at 50% off!
Ok when Bitcoin will go back to $0.5 I will think about selling it, it is 50% of the earliest price after all.
5044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran bans Bitcoin too on: May 27, 2021, 05:58:09 PM
Misleading title of the topic. Kindly correct it.
I read it in several articles that due to electricity shortage and recurrent cut, they decided to stop mining activity temporarily for 4 months, until September. I can understand such decisions, they can't produce enough energy to cover the extra usage in hot summer. source
5045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 27, 2021, 04:07:21 PM
It is very unfortunate that Zidane's departure from Real Madrid.  I was very sure Zidane would not last long with this team since last season.  However, currently the most powerful reason for Zidane not to coach this team is because of the words of the President of Madrid, who did not wear it, especially since Madrid is only able to win second place in La Liga.  Allegri, who is expected to become Zidane's successor, has already been selected by Juventus.  Who else will be chosen to replace this legendary.
Zidane officially out from Real Madrid, while we thought he will move to Juve, we heard that Allegri is almost appointed there (only contract duration left to precise).
Zidane to move to Inter? Or EPL? France? Conte to move to Real? I doubt.
5046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 27, 2021, 06:32:06 AM
Officially, Conte disagreed with director from Sunning and will leave the club. The future of Skjniar, Lukaku and Lautaro are unknown. The company want to sell some of them to get $70 million in budget. I think one of the two Lukaku or Lautaro will leave Inter Milan.

The Scudetto is a start of something bad for Inter Milan.
Refuelling the empty accounts will solve the problem for some time. They got the scudetto, so they will sell some players and maybe cut down some huge salaries, not sure about getting new players but they might accept some as free transfer or switch some. At the end they got what they want and they can enter sleep mode again for the next 10 years Roll Eyes
5047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 27, 2021, 06:25:36 AM
If you ask me, the whole game Manchester United were having trouble finding an opening. The goal Cavani scored was lucky enough to fall quite easily for Cavani rebound off the player. I think it was well deserved for Villarreal. Just think of the pressure they would have been facing De Gea. I was thinking of somebody missing within 5 penalty shots but they all scored. United did well but really sorry for them not getting the proper results.
Yeah Villarreal deserved to win. Seeing all players from both teams shooting penalties is something we see raaaarely and I don't blame De Gea for missing it. As you said the amount of pressure in that lottery, as coinlocket$ described it, is surely horrible.

-snip-
Wrong in terms of trusting ManU too much and underestimating a little Villarreal. My bet was small so no regret really Smiley
5048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 26, 2021, 09:59:25 PM
This game is a joke (I am pissed), Villarreal dominating the first half and scored then it was totally the opposite in the second half, no goal scored in extra time, very late substitution, then penalties to see it kicked 11 times.
Villarreal 1 - 1 ManU /120
Villarreal 11 - 10 ManU /penalties  Lips sealed
Congrats Villarreal, didn't see this coming.

When I read the article, I thought that the elon changed his mind again. And I believed it could happen.Because elon is such an unstable person. Maybe he wanted to pump again.  Huh Huh
I was like wait a minute this is an old news then thought maybe unstable Musk changed his mind again and decided to buy the same amount? Reference date was enough to disappoint.
If we switch our discussion to the title and forgot about the old Tesla news then bitcoin is more useful than all these methods since it can be a debit/credit card, an online transfer method like WU, a bank... Can't compare the incomparable..

I still think like you hahay that ManU will win this game, just placed a (small) bet for them to win @4.9, attractive odds you know but not 100% confident either Undecided
It's already 1-1 now and from the pressure on the Villareal side it's possible they might lose the game, manutd are controlling the midfield now and there have been some goal opportunities as well..... Good luck on your bet
Thanks Mistafreeze, I lost it since the regular time ended with a draw. I was about to bet on BTTS @1.4 or ManU @4.9 and choose the latter which turned wrong. Hope it will be just wrong in the regular time and not in extra time otherwise penalty kicks are pure hazard Undecided
5051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 26, 2021, 08:41:21 PM
Manchester City will be very unstoppable in the final match later.

I firmly believe Sergio Aguero will be played in that match and it will be his last game with Manchester City before moving to Barcelona.

FYI, Sergio Aguero officially moves to Barcelona next season.

I doubt Aguero will be in the starting eleven in the final match this Saturday, he might join at the end of the game as a honor for his services with City OR less likely might play the first half only.
Guardiola is taking this match very seriously, a war that should be won by his fighters and he will pick the best and most ready ones.
5052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 26, 2021, 08:03:35 PM
Villarreal 1 - 0 ManU half time, that's shocking.. Spanish teams will hold EL for them this year too?
I still think like you hahay that ManU will win this game, just placed a (small) bet for them to win @4.9, attractive odds you know but not 100% confident either Undecided
Manchester mixing blue and red by the end of this weekend is questionable right now.
5053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 26, 2021, 06:26:45 PM
Today is the relegation match Cologne vs Holstein Kiel !
Any thoughts on that or how the match will be end or who will win this game ?
My bet will going for a win for Cologne wiith a 2 : 1 scored Goals .
I havnt seen any match of Holstein and dont know how they are playing but normaly Cologne should be doing it.
The only thing I knew about Kiel is that they kicked Bayern from DFB-Pokal before losing with 5 goals vs Dortmund.
I didn't pay attention about the timing of the game but seeing the final score: Koln 0 - 1 Kiel. Well, Koln will have huge pressures this Saturday since they are 1 step closer to being relegated..

Official statement in the coming minutes/hours.

Here we go.
Inter leaving Europeans leagues as usual.
Inter: Conte, you will be sacked.
Conte winning the scudetto for the first time after 10 boring years.
Inter: thank you Conte, you are officially out Roll Eyes
Well, Conte wasn't convincing in the beginning, Inter improved later but let's not forget that Juve failure is a major factor for having Inter as the winner this season.
Inter should find a way to have a financial boost or else they won't be able to compete in CL next year nor topping Serie A table.
5055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining Council on: May 26, 2021, 03:46:48 PM
I don't see Bitcoin being influenced by external parties here. Well, not too much. We should be adapting, and trying to fit within the world for our own benefit though, and while I guess there was influence on this happening, its probably for the better.
Elon Musk withdrawing his support for Bitcoin after he supposedly found out that Bitcoin isn't clean is in a sense an external influence. Problem here is that he shouldn't be unaware of the environmental impacts of mining in the first place. Being critical of Bitcoin after he openly invested a billion dollars is questionable, either he is outright ignorant or has a certain agenda.
Like he doesn't know all the facts from the beginning. Bitcoin mining activity is well known and many articles compared its consumption to countries (like Argentina...)
Businessmen knows everything, studied markets dozens of times, calculated risks and benefits over and over. So yeah, he has his agenda.
Personally, I find moving green(er) is a good thing for the planet and for everyone. Just to mention that crypto are greener than the banking/actual financial system.

If UEFA decides to eliminate Real, Barcelona and Juventus from the competition, they will be replaced by Real Sociedad, Betis and Napoli.
Champions League without the champions, without its best teams will have another taste.. Those 3 clubs also condemned UEFA and brought it in Madrid's courts for abusing its position. I think everything will end with a simple fine without having any team kicked from any competition.
5058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 25, 2021, 11:53:57 PM
Real Madrid needs a striker, but it will definitely not be Kane. He is a pure striker like Jovic. And Zidane does not need those.
Milan needs a pure striker (CF), Kane fits with that position. How do you know Zidane doesn't want CF?  Huh
Zidane needs someone who can replace Benzema because Benzema may not always fit during the season. Also, with a new CF, Zidane can make a more varied formation in the front line of Real Madrid. So, what's the problem with Kane? The problem is only about the possibility of signing him.
Asking for 200m won't make Kane move an inch away from Spurs.. There were talks about not blocking him from leaving the club this summer if he wants but I read few hours ago that the president is asking for that number, good luck finding any club ready to spend such ridiculous number in this situation, even City cannot afford it..
5059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: May 25, 2021, 11:48:42 PM
I really want Villarreal to win Europa league. I often like to support underdogs, United are big favorites, but I think it's not worth to understimate Villarreal too much. Especially considering it's single game. It's good team in good shape, they trashed Sevilla 4:0 recently and didn't played bad against Real. While MU - I still can't trust in this team, they're so inconsistent. They can humiliate Roma and don't even beat Fulham.
Fun fact - all 4 games between these teams ended 0:0. Though, it was long time ago.
Another fact - last 6 Europa League finals had average of 4 goals. Can we expect high scoring final again?
I agree with not underestimating Villarreal and that ManU is so inconsistant. However, Villarreal isn't also as consistent as ManU, both can perform quite good or show some miserable performances.
In Europa League, ManU wins big with 2 goals or more in many games while Villarreal wins with 1 goal difference generally. I believe there will be many goals scored mostly by ManU in this game and that Manchester will be reddish soon then blueish after Grin
5060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 25, 2021, 03:24:42 PM
After the final round and until seeing new contracts being signed, you hear some talks about: De Ligt moving probably from Juve to Barca, Aguero from City to Barca too. Same goes from Wijnaldum from LFC to Barca.
Barca is trying to build a new team, defender, midfield and a striker but with the huge salaries dealing off, there will be a considerable cut for many players and a departure of some. For Real Madrid, Zidane to leave the club become more and more imminent.
