5041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Replace Gold! Here's Why... on: September 07, 2019, 05:39:40 AM
You are kinda right about the ease of access of btc vs. gold and the other stuff, but for the average Joe,gold is and always will be the ultimate store of value. The average Joe,who isn't tech savvy simply can't understand how the blockchain works and he will never trust bitcoin, because btc is like thin air for him, while gold can be touched. 5042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Trends went crazy for the Btc search on: September 06, 2019, 12:20:28 PM
Simply don't trust the google trends charts and data.I don't understand the meaning behind the google trends numbers. What is 100 for btc search on August 31st?Is this some kind of percentage? Can't they just show us the quantity of searches for that term in the selected time frame(just like in Google Adwords).
The 1 billion USD btc transaction has nothing to do with the increase of btc searches in Google trends.
5043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis - US Open thread - Predictions on: September 06, 2019, 06:28:56 AM
I really want Dimitrov or Medvedev to win US open this year. It's gets really boring when Nadal,Federer and Jokovic win everything.I can't predict what will happen, because I'm not an expert in tennis, but I would bet on Medvedev.Tall tennis players are the future of tennis(unfortunately).
5044  Economy / Economics / Re: Indian Economy rising at slowest pace - Should they consider Crypto-currency? on: September 06, 2019, 06:24:14 AM
Thinking that cryptocurrency adoption could increase India's economic growth seems stupid to me.
How many Indians use crypto(considering the fact that cryptocurrencies are banned in India,AFAIK)?Less than 0.1% I guess.Adopting crypto might increase that percentage to 1 or 2%,but what about the other 98-99% of the Indian population?
5045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where To Spen Bitcoins? Full List. on: September 06, 2019, 06:20:13 AM
Most of the companies in this list are related to the cryptocurrency industry anyway,so I don't think it's a legit list.I've never heard about 90% of the companies on the list, which means that they aren't that popular.
G2A is well known for scamming people and selling used game keys.Wikipedia isn't a company. It's a non-profit organization.Anyway, the creator of the list could do a better job.
5046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitfinex still be trusted? on: September 05, 2019, 11:55:37 AM
Hi Everyone!

I just published a review of Bitfinex here: https://blog.shrimpy.io/blog/bitfinex-exchange-review

I would love to hear what you think. Can Bitfinex still be trusted? It has a long history of questionable decisions, hacks, and mystery.

OP,I think that this thread should be moved to the "Exchanges" forum board. After all, your are promoting your review article about a crypto exchange platform.
The simple answer is NO and I don't have to read your review in order to answer you.We shouldn't trust ANY crypto exchange platform, not just Bitfinex. It doesn't matter how big it is and it doens't matter how many positive reviews there are posted online about the exchange website.
5047  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are about to hit 8K and below...soon (see charts) on: September 05, 2019, 11:51:25 AM
Op,I'm sad that you are using your whole ass, because it's obvious that your are making price predictions with your ass,not with your brain. Grin
The bitcoin price is moving back and forth in the 9.5-10.5K USD window during the last few weeks. It's common sense to expect that it might crash to 8K USD,because it's obvious that it doesn't have enough support for a big increase.
5048  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not ignore the small profits in Bitcoin investments. on: September 05, 2019, 11:40:12 AM
Thank god there are still enough greedy people who prefer to HODL their bitcoins instead of selling them and leaving the crypto world.Without them the bitcoin price probably would have been somewhere around 1000 USD.I acquired about 0.28 BTC last year at 4-5K USD and I sold around 0.2 BTC this summer for prices that are between 8.5K and 10.5K USD and I'm still kinda disappointed of the fact that I made almost 100% ROI.This is weird. 5049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 05, 2019, 06:13:43 AM
The obvious answer is soccer, because it has so much more opportunities to bet on.The result, how many goals are scored, how many corner kicks, handicap bets, the possibilities are almost endless.
And last but not least, soccer is the most popular sport in the world.
The more interesting question is,which sport is number 2,in terms of popularity across gamblers.
5050  Economy / Economics / Re: Offshore banking rises popularity as US drops from 'top 20 cleanest countries' on: September 05, 2019, 06:10:13 AM
Digital banks are becoming bigger in the world because they do not have the costs of a regular traditional bank and that is why they can do stuff for cheaper.

For example, I use a digital bank for my regular payments (normally I spend as much bitcoin as I can without cash out since I get paid in bitcoin but I usually need a regular fiat spending for most stuff) and the bank I use have no place to go, like there is no place I can go and talk about an issue, I will either have to use live chat or mail or have to call them, they do have ATM all around the city but no real store. That allows them to not charge me for any money transfer, I literally pay everything with no extra charge from bank or send money to someone and not pay for anything and its fast as well.

You are partially right, but I think that digital banks can be quite vulnerable to hacker attacks,so sticking to a 100% online solution is risky. What if hackers steal the money from your online offshore bank accounts?
You can't rely on their online live chat or email support. You will have to call the police, but such offshore banks aren't in the jurisdiction of your country,so it makes everything very complicated.
5051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Satoshi, From Which National Money Are More Valuable? on: September 05, 2019, 06:02:41 AM
OP,why do you think that this is "very important information"?
Who cares about the national currencies of Iran,Indonesia,Vietnam,Venezuela,Uzbekistan, etc?
That info doesn't mean anything.People in those countries seem to be OK with their national currencies(maybe except Venezuela)and I don't see these countries adopting bitcoin anytime soon.
5052  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Halving Countdown and Other Data on: September 04, 2019, 11:22:52 AM
The only thing that pumps the bitcoin price up is the demand for bitcoins.
Halving does reduce the supply a little bit,but without demand for btc,the bitcoin price will go down after the halving.During all those years, the bitcoin price went up only because bitcoin got more popular and more people adopted it.The 2017 ATH was due to the anticipation of bitcoin futures trading, not because of the 2016 halving.
5053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US-China Trade War Makes Bitcoin More Attractive to Investors on: September 04, 2019, 11:16:19 AM
Is the escalating trade war between China and the USA advantageous to the cryptocurrency sector?

"Data from global multi-asset investment platform eToro shows retail investors are opening more gold and bitcoin positions on news announcements of an escalating US/China trade war. Investors typically pile into gold as a natural hedge against macro economic unrest and data shows a correlation between the number of gold and bitcoin positions on its platform. This could suggest more retail investors are starting to view bitcoin as a store of value." - The London Economic

Opening more bitcoin positions on platforms like eToro doesn't mean that the retail investors suddenly started buying lots of BTC.Contracts for a difference (CFD) are just a derivative financial product and they don't affect the bitcoin price,by increasing the demand for bitcoins.
The US-China trade war won't last forever. It will end after the end of Trump's presidency.

No wonder you are the most hated guy on the forum. Grin Grin Grin

5057  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is gain or loss? on: August 25, 2019, 12:28:46 PM
I am a BTC holder. Some People said BTC is going down to $1000!! Is it true? So what can i do sell all BTC or hold it anyone know?  Cry

The bitcoin price isn't moving anywhere, which is kinda weird.Maybe the price volatility is so low, because most of the big traders and crypto whales are on vacation. Grin
BTC price will go down to 1000 USD some day.I'm pretty sure about that, but the important question is when will this happen.I'm not a bitcoin hater, don't get me wrong, but the western world will ban crypto trading and mining some day.We just have to HODL for the right time and sell at the highest possible price.
5058  Economy / Economics / Re: how supply of currency decided on: August 25, 2019, 12:24:14 PM
how does the currency supply of a country is decided, I searched got that it should be equal to GDP is this true or it's an ideal condition

No,the currency supply shouldn't be equal to the GDP.There was a simple formula about that topic, but I have to search through my Macro-economy and finance books.
As far as I remember, the classic equation was M.V=P.Y or M=1/V.(P.Y)
Irving Fisher was the author of the classic quantity theory of money. You will have to read more about him.
5059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Burn Satoshis coins to end the threat of prices crashing - Paxful Founder on: August 25, 2019, 12:14:33 PM
Paxful founder Ray Youssef has tweeted a bizzare idea in which he wants the community to burn Satoshis coins, so the threat of prices crashing due to Satoshi revealing himself and selling his coins goes away. While I understand that if Satoshi were to sell his coins crypto prices indeed will crash, but in the end it’s his creation and his coins no one should decide for him. What are your thoughts on this should the community support this bizzare idea, or voice their opinion and keep Satoshis coins safe?.

Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/paxful-founder-makes-wild-proposal-161450915.html

This idea isn't bizzare,I think it's has been discussed over and over again for the last 6-7 years.
Satoshi Nakamoto's coins are his property and only he and his children(if he really has any children) have the right to own and sell those coins."Stealing" the coins of someone just for the sake of keeping the bitcoin price stable is simply wrong. What if there's a mechanism to "burn" all the coins owned by crypto whales,so they can't pump and dump the bitcoin price?Would the majority of people just run away from Bitcoin?

То май копането на биткойни не е рентабилно,освен ако не крадеш електроенергия отнякъде.
И аз не съм активен в трейдването на крипто валути.Каквото изкарам го продавам в Localbitcoins.

Undecided
