5041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 understanding on: December 28, 2019, 09:03:50 PM
AFAIK, it's just an upgrade and movement of its transition from PoW to PoS so there should be no new coin that will be made.

of course, it will be the same coin, but it will have a different mining algorithm. if now the ETH network is supported by miners who use the POW algorithm, then in ETH 2.0 will be used POS, which will support the network by freezing a certain amount of coins, specifically, as I know, 32 Ethereum. I think that after this update a lot of people will be upset
That's basically the minimum for the eligibility of staking but it's not yet final and there might be a lot changes along its way.
5042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Superstition in Number 13, What About the Casino? (Lucky Six) on: December 27, 2019, 11:22:33 PM
They even excluded that number with floor buildings so it's a very known superstitious belief but I don't think that casinos will ever consider that. Not every gambler has the same belief and some are just making fun of this number and tries to pull the trigger if they want to.

It can easily programmed but I don't think it go as you think.
5043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin goal million dollars on: December 27, 2019, 10:16:49 PM
And what's your analysis behind that? we can easily say as enthusiasts that bitcoin will reach that height but we're living in the reality of this world. We have heard McAfee before and told that it's about $500,000 base on his numbers but sudden changed into $1,000,000.

Did you took his analysis and believed that it's possible? I'm not trying to be skeptic on this part and I would definitely love to see bitcoin hit $1,000,000 but if that happens, do you think that you still hold it or probably sold it when it goes $100,000 or at half?
5044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Read whitepaper, could you write a whitepaper in the future? on: December 27, 2019, 09:53:18 PM
Actually anyone can as long as you do it and it becomes a practice, the content of those whitepapers will be stuck on your mind and the ideas that contains it will be on your thought.

Why have you thought of that? are you thinking to be a whitepaper writer? to tell you, many of them were just copy pasted so sometimes these WPs are just show offs that they've actual a plan to show.
5045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How find POS coins on: December 25, 2019, 03:59:05 AM
It's easy to search them through google search and except with the two websites that were mentioned by Lagduf, you can also see and check the list on this website that was also generated when I've googled it.

5046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trade Your Privacy to ₿itcoin? on: December 25, 2019, 03:24:42 AM
I remember how blockchain.com promoted XLM because they've listed it on their wallet and asked for KYC just to be eligible to receive $25 worth of XLM as an airdrop.

And if that's in bitcoin, no doubt that many would love to join the craze and fill the KYC to get those precious bitcoin reward. But it will also depend on the platform that's conducting that KYC and if it is not trusted, many will not join.
5047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many big powers agains crypto on: December 25, 2019, 02:42:03 AM
The one YouTuber that I used to watch with crypto content has also showed that the other video he made was removed by YouTube on an instant. YouTube has a current issue with the Coppa which many YouTubers doesn't like the decision they've made although this isn't related to crypto content but I think they are being tough with specific contents.

We can't say that YouTube is being pressured and with the relation of crypto content, they're becoming stricter. There are other existing video streaming websites already but YouTube is the top of them. We don't need a clone, we just need clarifications from them.
5048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin bubble by 2023; capitalization up to 150 times, a research suggests on: December 25, 2019, 02:08:23 AM
We love this kind of analysis which is in favor of us and analysis that we would like to hear. But I say, everything is possible just like what satoshi said about transactions in the future that it can be bigger as we think or there will be no transactions anymore.

At least this analysis isn't that much as what John McAfee said about bitcoin to hit $1M by 2020. We're already on that year few days from now and we'll have to wait for 12 more months with the consequence that he promised.

Regardless of these predictions, I'm optimistic as a long term hodler.
5049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and bitcoin is Not good investment new era Next phase on: December 25, 2019, 01:35:52 AM
Crypto and bitcoin Not good investment as before
But crypto can be Vehicle for investment.
Is it just me that understands this wrongly? It confuses me that OP is telling that bitcoin and "crypto" is no longer a good investment as before but tells that "crypto" is a good investment vehicle.

I would say Bitcoin is a solid investment for the long term, If you look at the structure of bitcoin and notice that we have barley even scratched the surface in terms of the longevity.
If you are to look back at the early prices and where we sit now on a timeline basis it paint's a much better picture of how long a term people are talking.

I don't mean months or even years, Personal, I am looking at it the the terms of 20 years+.
I agree that bitcoin is more solid than any other "crypto" that op is pertaining to as a good investment vehicle. There's no other better choice than bitcoin on this asset class market because it's been proven within just a decade and it will be proven for the upcoming years to come.
5050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest crypto fraud of all time on: December 25, 2019, 01:06:11 AM
There's also the hex scam now that guarantees profit for their investors. I think it's able to make a lot of money from those blind followers. They all think that the owner of it is telling the truth which promised those returns and sign of passive income.

It's plustoken that's also one of the biggest fraud ever which has embezzled billions of dollars too.

passive income is usually one of the common grounds of most scammers. if you do believe that you will get your income throughout your lifetime from their business model, not only think twice but many times. because theres no such project that can give you passive on your lifetime. and most of them are running ponzi scheme, so if you are behind the trail, you wont even get your initial investments.
i guess by now crypto users have had their share of losses from these failed projects so we are more smart now in approaching these blockchain projects....
There are legitimate projects that also offers the same passive income but looking how they earn those returns they give, it's actually coming from their source which is a legitimate business. Unlike projects like this, they are just creating promises without anything to show to the public what is that legitimate business that can generate profits to share for their investors.

But today, we can figure them out if they are a ponzi, a hyip or legit project that promises decent profit for their investors.

5052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Who is the 2019 Bitcoin Drama Queen on: December 24, 2019, 09:34:35 PM
I'm thinking of Peter Schiff that bashed bitcoin a lot of times this year and also John McAfee as always he's been creating dramas on twitter. Anyway, I can't vote on twitter and you should also make it easier as suggested to make that poll here.

CW and Roger Ver were on the same level that keep on saying they have the actual bitcoin. But it's CW IIRC, that has faced a charge this year so I think it'll be him.
5053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: India's Crypto Scene has a lot going on right now - Tezos on: December 24, 2019, 09:14:31 PM
~snip~

The situation is that we're waiting for the Govt and the Supreme court to rule on this one way or another, but making progress where we can e.g. We're moving forward with P2P exchange plans, but will likely not try to issue a Stablecoin. Just some type of 'common sense' approach to what might get us in trouble I suppose?

The one thing that's super clear is that Banks will not provide services to Crypto exchanges as they have been prohibited from doing so by the Central bank.

The rumored ban was true in the sense that there was in fact a draft bill floating around, but it's just a draft, never got debated and is quite far away from ever becoming a law that I wouldnt worry about it. It will likely get defeated far before it gets there.
We've got plenty of stable coins and I hope that your government wouldn't release yours but, I didn't know that there's a kind of idea that's building up on your country of having one.

Thanks for clearing it, so it's still a draft and not yet a law unless it becomes a law then all of you should be worried about it. I get it now that the banks don't want to entertain exchanges to directly withdraw or deposit or anything that's connected to an exchange serice
5054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra released it's Much Anticipated Roadmap #2 on: December 24, 2019, 08:47:56 PM
I don't understand a thing. If Libra made such an update, why can't we see the official source? The link here leads us to a different website, which does not belong to Libra.

Is there an official announcement?
This is their official website.

https://libra.org/en-US/

IMO, Libra will not launch by 2020 or if they will it will be hard for them to even launch at once. I'm now starting to realize that the resemblance of what Mark Zuckerberg did to the Winklevoss twins with their idea of FB before is starting again and repeating itself.
5055  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: December 24, 2019, 08:22:07 PM
PS. It's very likely the next version of the website is going to have much more activities.

When do you expect to launch the new site?
Just like the addition of sportsbook , it will come in surprise.

Is it bad to have a lonely day playing dice with yourself? ;p
I'm happy to stay at my room this Christmas and it's not bad if that's what you'll do.
5056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 23, 2019, 05:50:48 PM
No one knows for sure.

Not everything that goes up will go up continuously. There will be a dipping scenario which is a basic thing for bitcoin. What's the specific price that you want to see with bitcoin before buying? if you just saw the price earlier it's much cheaper below $7,000.
5057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 23, 2019, 05:18:26 PM
How saddening that there are still investors that believe on these traders to hold their funds or at least trade for them. This is the result of lack of knowledge, they weren't aware of this kind of scheme that's why they fell for it.

It's a possible sure thing that they will stop once they've experienced it.
5058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: India's Crypto Scene has a lot going on right now - Tezos on: December 23, 2019, 11:02:20 AM
What's really the situation of crypto in India? it's hard to distinguish what's really the news with them because I'm not living there but interested of knowing the real score of their government against crypto.

There is no ban. The Indian government / Courts have not made it's decision on this yet. The only logistical problem is that the Indian central bank, the Reserve bank of India has made it illegal for Banks in India to offer services for Cryptocurrency firms. Most of our initial products do not require Indian banking services and when they do, there are already tries and tested method like P2P which will allow us to continue to build out our services.

Building tools and writing software for Tezos and other blockchains has not been outlawed in any country I know of, is it's highly improbable it will..

Which means this is sort of a confirmation that in India there's no actual ban and the news that were coming out lately telling that there's a rumored ban happening there was exaggerating your situation.
5059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of Bakkt has been appointed as new US senator on: December 23, 2019, 10:06:41 AM
I've seen this thread before, nothing interesting
Yea, I've seen also it before and it's this thread:

This thread should be closed.
5060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Staking WAR has begun, who is wining it? on: December 23, 2019, 09:12:05 AM
Binance once showed how responsible they were with their customers fund, remember the time that they were hacked? they took full responsiblity and helped the people that were affected.

Binance offers full refund after $40m hack

Coinbase sure can but the other exchanges that were just going with the adoption of staking and not yet known, we don't know if they have that much fund to do the same if a trouble comes to them but hopefully there's none.
Coinbase is another great exchange that also provides $1billion earnings annually. And if they encounter such a situation, they will not sell a great image so far for a few million. You can be sure that they have enough money to pay back the stolen money after hacking.

Staking is not something that can be competed for, more demand, more earnings.
I didn't said that Coinbase can't do the same thing as Binance did when a trouble comes, I'm more worried about those exchanges that are also going with the rush of staking.

That's where my what if is pointing to.
