Elon Musk with his loose month! I am not taking the guy seriously anymore. He likes to play on people's integrity, particularly ardent supporters who only hear go and come like puppies. He should do anything to Twitter as he likes if he eventually purchases it, and stop playing like a child as usual.

I stopped taking the guy seriously when he speedily announced the buying of the microblogging app for $44B with $54.20 per share, only to take a turn and say he doesn't want the deal again as if they are in a banana republic.
5062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: October 04, 2022, 01:02:38 PM
My question is, will Bitcoin hold the rest of this year above the low of June at 17625.00 or the level will be breached before 2023?

I really believe that bitcoin will go down more before this year ends. There are many factors why I'm thinking that way. National currencies of many countries continuously collapse because of the strengthening US dollar. The continues rate hike in the US also affects other countries' economy. There is also this looming world war 3 because Ukraine recently applied for NATO membership.

The factors I said may not be related to crypto but those events affects the whole global market.
Your points are so valid, but might not cause the persistent pressure on Bitcoin anymore as the mentioned factors are well priced-in. I was with a bearish view on Bitcoin until the last days of September, I am no more a bear. My decision was not because the market is bullish in the long-term disposition but for the fact that Bitcoin is already low, and institutional buyers and holders are queuing at lower levels to help it buy. This is why Bitcoin would try to sell after breaking important support levels, but would still not be able to maintain the selling until the buyers would take over in short-term disposition. This should continue for the rest of the year.

Bitcoin tries to keep the support level at $19k, failing it can make bitcoin reach down to the previous all time low of the year. The market is completely unpredictable, and now price of bitcoin is around $19200. Weeks back price is predicted to go down, but the support level got maintained. There is more chances of downward movement with bitcoin considering the year end bullish move.
In all of my recent analyses, there is no strong or even valid support at $19K, you might want to explain better on this if you have strategies to back this up, let us learn from you. The level was just a coincidence to see the price of the market around it. The most valid support is now at $17,000-17,500 and might be defended by the Bulls as long as possible.

Frankly, Bitcoin might find it difficult to breach the level for the rest of this year, but will still might not make a tangible bullish run till 2023.
5063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: October 04, 2022, 07:49:11 AM
Many gamblers have loss money  as a result of not having self control.
You have to work on yourself if you want to continue gambling since you already know where you are lacking. Self-control and discipline are important in gambling, you don't have to win all the time, or must win after losses. If you could take care of those and also have your gambling strategies and plans, I believe you will be a better gambler.

I just gamble just to pass the time and have fun sometimes!
That makes the two of us, I don't gamble because I want to make money or be rich the way many have the mindset, I gamble for entertainment, and that is mostly when I am bored. My vast experience in trading makes this easy for me since I earn regularly through it.

Any gambling have its own story to tell about the worst situation it found itself in gambling because gambling itself is something that every person who is addicted in gambling at the who is not addicted in gambling but can play gamble will tell you when I read it story of Lost and the history of profit, so if I should be share my worst experience in gambling I don't think that people will like playing that bowling again especially you know who once
I would have loved to read about your experience in gambling, and I can assure you that people will not be surprised as a worse gambler than you exists. I was a full-fledged adult when I started gambling, which might have helped me from being addicted to gambling anyhow. Till now, I always have positive experiences with gambling, the money made might be little but it is not something that calls for regrets.
5064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 04, 2022, 07:26:32 AM
Lol, just because Real Madrid failed to win against Osasuna you excluded Real Madrid from one of the favorite teams to champion. A draw with Osasuna is not a bad result for Real Madrid, I don't think you expect Real Madrid to win every game, obviously that is impossible for any team. A draw is not the end for Real Madrid, they are still on the right track. Real Madrid is still one of the favorite teams for champions this season, they are still able to compete at the top because Real Madrid points are still the same as those collected by Barcelona.
Some people are always wrongly reacting to current wins and defeats while neglecting the form and the possible future of a club in the season. No one should down-talk Real Marid now as a draw with Osasuna does not translate to a bad team. Though they personally betrayed my expectation in the last match of high hopes, yet Osasuna is a well-experienced club and was so defensive.

However, Real Madrid is my favourite to win La Liga against Barca, but I will not conclude yet on the Champions league.
5065  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: October 04, 2022, 07:15:35 AM
I like PVP chess too but wouldn't be prone to cheating since players can open another tab to play with bots and moved with it using what's your opponent is moving. So I think playing PVP chess is not a good idea. I think maybe like on Binance the bears and bulls like the binary option but it is PVP.
totally agree with this, and would be a nice game to play. But it's true what you said, that cheating in chess games is very possible considering that many applications or sites provide ways to cheat as you say. It may be very difficult for developers to include it in gambling games.
there are many options that open up opportunities to cheat in the chess game, I personally don't like it
maybe a game that relies on the right skill is billiards it will be very interesting
don't expect luck but skill
Sometimes you can have the skill but you will not win such kind of game I think that all this gaming stuff all of them is being mean through a lock is not through your skill in them So that is what I am found at and also understand from all this stuff other people do play game with prediction that that prediction is accurate why some people just predict whatever team they feel like and those people that predict whatever team they feel like without any mindset of accuracy don't win those ones that predict which accuracy
I partly agree with you because when you are gaming or playing casinos, you need luck. Yet, we should not believe that it's all about luck like you are making it looks now. Technical know-how and professionalism are important in gambling, especially in gaming, you might want to know the games you are betting a certain amount of money on so that you don't get to lose your money over and over again.

But when it comes to predictions, that's where you might want to rely solely on luck and the fairness of the company you are dealing with.
5066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: Watchout for 30% decline in Bitcoin price, according to this indi on: October 04, 2022, 07:02:13 AM
I have read too many predictions about Bitcoin to the extent that I don't want to read about them anymore to avoid a conflict of interest. And since I know how to speculate well, I only follow my own trading advice, and it is working excellently for me with minimal losses. Aside from that, I was an ardent supporter of the selling of Bitcoin this year due to the overall bearishness of the weekly and monthly charts, but I changed in September because the tradition of Bitcoin itself is helping it not to fall beyond normal.

A lot of buyers are queuing at immediate lower levels now, which makes me know that Bitcoin will not have an outstanding fall anymore this year.
5067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 06:56:30 AM
I started to know about bitcoin way back 2016 during my studies. I was looking for side hustles that time and my friend introduced me to cryptocurrencies. I learned some basics of trading which helped me a lot to earn some extra money that I can add to my allowance. Up until now, bitcoin and crypto has been my extra source of income because my salary is just enough to cover my priorities.
I started my journey with bitcoin in middle years of 2016 and have been my passive income with cryptocurrency as trading and investor until nowadays, not have space for me why have dislike with bitcoin although with several time got loss when investing suddenly price drop. Bitcoin have been light in my journey how I spent my daily activities by trading only without have other real working.

I am thankful with my friend introduced me to cryptocurrency and helped my financial freedom when I know about bitcoin and altcoin, I think no space for me why disliked bitcoin because half of my achievements right now source from cryptocurrency as trading or another passive income way trough bitcoin trader.
What a good story attached with luck! I envy people like you who could take the risk at that time. I always regret it when I look back in relation to what Bitcoin achieved a few years ago. I might be nearing my 1 billion dollars now judging by the money I have for investment at that time if I had invested them all in BTC.

Agree with the answers here! Bitcoin has a reputation for being bad. Because it is being used by some people for evil purposes. But this is strange rhetoric as if people do not want to delve deeper into the topic and draw conclusions only on information that gives cryptocurrency a bad side. And completely ignoring the positive aspects. A good example is the transfer of funds between countries. Translation speed. Inflation protection. And I just started listing the positives.
I must refute that this bad rhetoric about Bitcoin is not strange and is still there. Although, if one could move closer, they will know that the benefits of using Bitcoin outweigh the cause of any reservation about using it. Bitcoin is a very good development that needs more awareness for more adoption. Yet, the world's government has a lot to do to regulate it in their possible way to make it safer and appreciated more.

I've known Bitcoin since 2012 but started using it in 2019, though it was still for payments (funding and withdrawal) of online Forex trading, nothing more because I was careful to deal with something that might aid illegality. I later discovered that I was naive at that time, the latest development/revolution in Bitcoin made me ever feel bad and I had lost a lot of opportunities in the past to this.
When you have seen and feel that you are losing a lot of your assets on Forex why do you continue, you should think about looking for another trade and move your assets there, that way you will not lose a lot of assets that you had in that time. Never blame Bitcoin for the risk you get at that time, because it is purely your own fault, before investing you should see and understand which market is good to invest in Bitcoin.
Did you read my posts clearly? I did not shift the blame of Forex trading on Bitcoin, how would I do that? I was only having my reservation due to the negative things perceived of it which are still genuine till today. Only that they do not matter to me anymore as I am determined to continue to earnest the good aspect of the crypto and make myself blind to the bad part.
5068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: October 04, 2022, 06:41:31 AM
I would not have thought the price of bitcoin would return to the price of 1000 dollars, if that happened then there would be a lot of people who would buy it, myself included, that this is a golden opportunity for everyone to buy bitcoin at the lowest price, even though it is a very difficult thing. impossible to happen...
No one could have thought that those giant stocks that crashed could crash, but it happened. This is an asset, its price could appreciate or depreciate due to many factors. And the issue is that the pressing factors that would crash Bitcoin might not be the ones that are obvious to speculators, it would come and that would be the reality at the time.

I hope this does not come, but as many appreciate BTC now, what if very bad news happens and the sentiment caused the crash?

stock market and every market that is supported under a backing, here the only backing is the supply and demand, as well as the whales and all that make BTC life.
Bitcoin is not left out when it comes to the backing as well unless you mean the government's backing as legal tender only. Some countries are doing that also for BTC, yet I agree that it is not enough. Nonetheless, the backing of BTC is almost the same as that of stocks, we should not mince words on this. The people that hold and buy the two keep them alive, not the government.

A $1K price would be a little disturbing, mostly because it would signal a major breakdown in the Bitcoin market. Seeing it drop below the previous cycle high is disturbing enough but you can at least make the argument the the previous high was near the bottom here. At $1K, that’s out the window and by then a majority of Wall Street support would be long gone.
Perfect! Many do not view this like speculators and professionals, they mainly believe that once Bitcoin sells, it must buy. But are they truly considering the factors that are making it fall? In a situation where it has fallen to $1000, it must have been so demoralized and pressured to the point that almost all the investors/backers/holders must have turned their backs in such a situation.

5070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 03, 2022, 09:22:02 AM
~snip~

I hope they bounce back immediately though. Great game from Manchester City and Pep Guardiola. But I honestly hope they don't win the Premier League once again. It sucks totally!  Sad

I also hope that Manchester United players don't get affected very deeply this much easily. As far as I can see, their next game is an away one against Everton. This is another tough game for them honestly. Because Everton are doing better on the recent weeks. They haven't lost a game for six weeks and they are on a two-game winning streak as well. As the game is in Goodison Park it is like an extra difficulty for the Red Devils.

If Erik ten Hag make the right choices for this game they can still win of course. They are stronger on paper in the end. One game shouldn't change everything at once.
I would have complained much, and probably be sceptical of the next match if Man U did not make any goal, but they did, it's football, and they should know how to perform better. They contested with a better club where Haaland has been performing unexpectedly well, and 6-3, does not mean much to me than the 3 points it counts to the Man City. It is Man U that needs to buckle up and fight better as Everton cannot be as brilliant as Man City, so I don't think there is anything to demoralize Man U as I'm concerned.
5071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: October 03, 2022, 06:44:15 AM
I think mining will be considered profitable if it can generate a income enough for ofsetting the cost of electricity of mining.. which now a days seem very difficult for bitcoin.so yes buying at current lows seems sensible. But yes keep hodling it long enough for making gains.
What matters are the time, energy and prospect/plan of the person? Some might want to mine for the money, but mining is not like before, which discourages many people. Miners of many years ago earned more in BTC, but it is not really worth the time and the energy it consumes these days.

Having said that, in my case, I prefer buying Bitcoin to mining. Yet, I will not just buy it, I will buy it at the right time after carefully speculating its bullishness. If one could sell when it is bearish and always buy when it is bullish, many profits would be earned more than the miners.
5072  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: October 03, 2022, 06:38:08 AM
I wouldn't conclude that the Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador is a failure, it's still at its initial/experimental stage. I couldn't imagine what the president of El Salvador was thinking when he adopted Bitcoin (a very risky asset) as a legal tender in the country. This is because Bitcoin is still at its early stage, more time in the tune of decades is still needed to effectively study its behaviour and reliability.

Let me assume that the country has offered itself as an experiment for others to learn what is possible with Bitcoin, yet they might laugh in the end. The issue at hand is the lack of responsivity of the asset for now, but it might be a boom for the country when it stabilizes above $50,000 in a matter of years.

Nevertheless, their citizens should be smart in handling the coin due to a lack of reliability that will never be dissociated from it.
5073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 06:24:36 AM
Some debates/arguments about Bitcoin baffle me at times, they shouldn't have been initiated in the first place if the debaters truly know the mechanism behind the structure/operation of Bitcoin. Bitcoin can never be stable, it already has its technology and foundations as such, and it is an asset that could be held and traded in the interbank market. How could such be stable? Many decisions are dragging the price of Bitcoin, it will always fluctuate due to that, while the side with the highest liquidity takes the trophy just like any other floating market where demand and supply decide the price.
5074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: October 03, 2022, 06:15:37 AM
European and South American national teams have been dominating world football for quite some time now, but I expect that African teams will soon reach their level.
African footballers are already big football stars in the world's best clubs, like Salah or Mane, but their national teams are not yet tactically at the level of the world's best national teams.
At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Ghana came very close to becoming the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, but unfortunately lost the game to Uruguay on penalties after missing a penalty in the last minute of the games.
After that, no African national team came close to reaching the semi-finals, but maybe it could happen at this world championship in Qatar.
Without being sentimental, Africans would not do anything spectacular in this world cup, they don't often have a complete team. You mentioned Salah and Mane, but don't forget that they don't play for the same team nad they can't consistutute the whole team, which si where the issue lies. Africans were better contenders before, not know, they need a lot to develop their team. Like I used to be fcatilay, I don'yt see them in the semi-final.

I always prefer luck over effort. Because sometimes a good team loses after playing well enough. Anyway, this year's World Cup is expected to be very grand. All teams will try their best. I am expecting good things from Argentina this time. I think luck will help this time. But I wish all the teams the best.
Luck is good in footfall and all the facets of life, but no one or team can rey on it. They need their professionalism that will always make them shine and prove that they know what they are actually doing.
5075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: October 02, 2022, 12:35:31 PM
There is no doubt that Brazil is a country producing quality young players, there are many young players in their squad at the moment. But this is a World Cup where the quality of the players is not enough, they have to be mentally prepared for everything that will happen there. I hope this is not a problem for them, and the senior players on the team can provide motivation that can make the juniors more mentally and confident.

About the mentality to be prepared, I'd like to say something
If can pick any squad, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Australia, Ghana etc, from South America to Asia, Africa included, all teams have players with experience playing in Europe.
Of course not all of them are playing in tier A teams like Real Madrid / Manchester City / Juventus etc, but they are in Europe playing among the best, and playing against the best, so the experience is not a problem anymore, in my opinion.

Some years ago it was incredible to see the playing differences against every kind of soccer techniques, like South Americans vs Europeans, or Europeans vs Africans, but today the difference is very hard to see, because players are playing the same championships, coaches are training the teams equally, and there's a lot of foreigners coaching and even playing for another countries.
You forgot South Korea and Japan there but I understand your points. Those countries might not have a lot of players in the A-tier league but they are still very good national teams to meet up with the World Cup level. The level difference is a small margin. I think thanks to the global nature of soccer has become, now the coach's teachings and training regiments can be received from country to country. Before it the EU and Latin America had the best chance to win a World Cup as it was completely their game. Now, this chance can also be seen in other zones, abit small but still there.
It is true that South Korea and Japan are good teams, with my preference being Japan's team but they are going nowhere in this world cup. You can mark my word for it and I can even bet my last money on this. What I envisaged in this world cup is tougher than the two countries and one might crash at the group stage, while the other at the quarter-final.

The only teams that might show some degree of surprise are the ones from the southern part of America, not the Asia extracts.

Wasn't South Korea fourth in the world at the 2002 World Cup?
I remember that at the last World Cup, Japan pretty much tortured one of the favorites, Belgium, in the knockout phase of the competition.
I think that both teams have a chance, but personally I give better chances for a good result to teams from Africa.
I personally have the feeling that at least one African national team could surprise this time and achieve a very good result, especially since they will be playing in climatic conditions that suit them.
I admit that you are right, Japan tried in the 2018 world cup, but did they reach the semi? No, 3-2 against Belgium, which doesn't prove a point beyond that. While the point about South Korea is almost the same thing, they did not get to the semi and Brazil eventually lifted the trophy. We are talking about those that have the chance to lift the trophy, which was what I replied to in my last post.

All the teams would try their best, but luck and professionalism would be seen in some better than others. And those favoured in that aspect are Germany, Spain and South American teams. Also, I don't think African teams would reach final.
5076  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I need help on Option Trading on: October 02, 2022, 12:24:07 PM
Just like traditional trading, futures trading has been a very good innovation in the crypto space, yet I still feel incomplete without trading Bitcoin with Option. I was happy to see the Option trading feature with Binance, which is my only exchange, but they offer a different kind of Option trading from the traditional one I know. Their style of offering is designed to make one lose as your winning is not guaranteed even if the difference between the striking price and the price at expiration is in your favour.

Take, for example, I bought the (Call) option on BTC at 18634.35 on Friday for an expiration of 1 hour. Could you believe that the price of the market was at 18855.87 at the expiry time, but Binance still concluded that I lost the bet? This is not a mistake because such a situation has happened to me more than 5 times with the same exchange.

I don't know how Binance calculates their options trading and I don't care again. Is there any exchange you can suggest to me that gives winning like the traditional Option trading where the slightest point counts?

First of all, may I know if you have any ideas on doing futures trading? because if you tell me that you don't have any or only a few ideas, I can say that you are doing it wrong because actually most of the members here on the forum advise you not to try futures trading because it is still a bit confusing to use compared to spot trading

I have seen many newbies jump right into futures trading without having enough ideas, so the result is that they lose or just waste their capital used here.
With my explanations above, you should have known that I know how to trade futures very well, only that I wanted more through Option trading. It's obvious that no one could trade Option without the knowledge of how to trade futures because you need to speculate and know how to earn from the market through it. However, the only difference between the future and Option trading is just the expiration of the tenure of the betting and the fixed amount to earn which must have been foreknown.
5077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 62nd independence to all Nigeria Bitcoiners on: October 02, 2022, 06:28:34 AM
Sorry if I may sound a little mean, but Independence from what exactly?

Colonial masters? What a joke  Cheesy
The Colonial masters can't even do the easiest thing of returning the looted historical artifacts that are locked up and kept hosted in different European Museums.

Financial freedom? Last I remember, the so-called independent government, didn't want Nigerians trading Bitcoin.

Worse still, the pseudo-independence these former colonies think they have got is just a continuation of shitty governance by very corrupt, selfish dictators. How do I know this? Lots of news and articles online about this.
I will not crucify the OP for celebrating the Bitcoiners in his country on independence day though it's kind of off to me too, yet the way we think varies, hence the respect for each other's views. As there might be nothing to celebrate in Nigeria as regards independence as you are concerned, many, including the Bitcoiners here might still think otherwise.

Nigeria might not be getting everything right, but still, one of the countries you can enjoy the lowest cost of living in the world. This might not be if they are still under the colonial masters.

5079  Economy / Economics / Re: Rebuttal: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset on: October 01, 2022, 10:42:55 AM
As we all know the power of money is something that cannot be underestimated, so it is impossible to give the poor the very same opportunities that someone that is rich has.
The high disparity between the rich and poor class when it comes to privileges of the rich made me vote for the poor to be better than the rich. The truth is that when given the two of them the same hash tasks, the poor will highly likely survive, while the rich might collapse/fail since they are not used to the harsh condition.

Yet, the poor would survive the good environment just like the rich. Tell me who wins? The poor of course.

I grew up in a family that wasn't rich, and when something broke, it set us back for months, my parents are still like that unfortunately. A pipe bursts? You do not calculate it and you barely have enough to survive anyway, so you pay it but then you postpone something else, your tooth needs dentist? You pay that but then postpone something else.

For a family that had one salary from my father, and 3 people to live on it, we barely survived, thankfully it was good and we lived a good life, I have never classified myself poor or my family "poor", but we weren't rich, I can say that. That is why I can easily say  that all those "lessons" that rich people give would be from rich people perspective. Give a wealthy person 1 year to live on a salary of a delivery guy and they would go mad and would be in big debt too.
Your story is touching! Can you imagine? So if they now give someone like you the privilege of the rich, would you misuse it judging from where you are coming from? The poor have been taught in a tough way, so they are better.

It couldn't be more true. Not all rich people are right and not all poor people are wrong or vice versa.
I believe some of you are not getting what the subject is all about. It is not about individuals now but the generality of what could be inferred between the poor and rich. Social media is awash with the fact that the rich are better, but I refuted it since they are not better but only privileged to be rich. So, it is not about one being better than the other in a place and the other in another place. It is all about one thing, can the rich survive what the poor are surviving? And the poor survive what the rich are surviving? You should know the answer by now.

Nothing much is to be expected in October as the battle between the bulls and bears continues towards the end of the year. Though the bearish trend is still favoured by me in October as the overall trend of the market judging by what the monthly and weekly charts dictate. Yet, the hesitation of the market in September makes me suggest that Bitcoin is not ready to go lower as it might have reached the year-low already, or is very close to the level.

This means that even if Bitcoin would fall further in October, such would be limited to around $17000-17500, which will not have much significance as that fall might be greeted with more fierce bullish movements.
