This is a great thing as it coincides with the LTB interview..

Can we get a cool video like Shadow? I believe it will help people understand how Dash works.

Having the professional voice over reader say "It's a lot more faster" is my favorite part.

Listen to our core dev Fluffypony on LetsTalkBitcoin:

https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/ltb-e202-understanding-monero

Anon136, this is what you were asking for right?  Grin

Very nice.  I look forward to listening.  That's good exposure.

-stupid shit-

Why the actual fuck is anyone still paying attention to this brainless cuntface?

Some of us aren't, but then that's less noticeable than the shit he stirs up.  Franky I am surprised such a BAD troll is doing so well.

Actually he is the single solitary member of my ignore list. Wink

There was also someone that tried to phish (can't believe they associated such a despicable act with one of the most amazing bands ever) me on #monero with some nick very close to fluffypony's, but Riccardo found out about this behavior before and set log alerts to find when this happened and reached out to me personally via Skype to let me know.

David is actually probably a rather qualified individual to talk with BFX. Aside from great character and proficiency of this space's nuances, it probably helps that Raphael and David are fellow Frenchmen.

Lol.  I wish I had saved the logfile of the conversation I had with him.  I strung him along for like 30 minutes.

I am liking the price action for the last 24 hours.  Looks like possible consolidation.  If we can hang out in this range we can see strong support forming around .003.  I am considering buying a little... but will watch some first.
5067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: April 07, 2015, 01:57:40 AM

Let me give out a warning,  lets not make this personal, otherwise i will have to handle this as i do other personal attacks.

Do you ball up your little fists, turn and run away crying?  Because as annoying as that would be to witness it would still be a net positive.
5068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: April 06, 2015, 02:46:44 PM
PoS is inherently flawed from a network security perspective, lets say a big hack happen in an exchange and large amount of POS coins are now in the hands of a single person, the hacker not only will control large part of the coins but subsequently of the network.
As I said right after the one sentence you quoted, the PoS algorithms we've seen so far are inherently flawed.  That's one of the flaws.  It can be fixed, but not in any of the ways people have done so far.
How?

It seems it's the Byzantine's Generals' problem you guys are trying to solve here. I'm wondering if anyone in computer science has found a solution to that one yet. *cough*

Lol.  That pretty much sums it up.

I have a lot of uncomfortable admiration for Monero traders and folks with large balances in Poloniex, although it is possible that most of them don't fathom what they are dealing with when it comes to Monero or the sudden rise that will happen with no way to get back the trading gambling stash.

What do you mean by this?

My OT two moneros.

Making this big a deal about ignoring trolls is harmful to our image and makes us look intolerant.  People can use the ignore function independently.

Fighting with trolls is often not worth it.  But keeping a blacklist seems a little heavy handed.

Ignore trolls.  Or not... Freedom of speech is good.  As well as freedom to ignore.

What is your agenda? Do you want more FUD so you can buy lower? Cheesy I'll keep calling out trolls and the liars.

Seriously?  You are either joking, or just bonkers.  As in paranoid.  Maybe you want me on the list too?

Freedom of speech? This is not a moderated thread, its inherently free to speech.

Indeed, and therefore trolls gonna troll.

^This user DASH troll is currently ignored. Smiley

I'm not sure if you were referring to AlexGR but I don't think he's really a troll, just expressing an opposing point of view, which i certainly welcome. No need for an echo chamber of cheerleaders.

There are certainly people who post useless snarky comments, blatantly hostile attacks, etc. but he's not doing that.

This is very very very important as a general rule.
5073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 05, 2015, 01:43:13 AM
I have to admit I have been chuckling a lot today thinking about how INSTANTLY the tone of this thread went from "How soon 'till bitcoin parity?!??!" to "OMG!!! we are on the way to all time lows!!!".

It is easier to just breathe deep and watch...  Buy a little on bad days... try to sell a little of that on a plus day...  never trade so much that when things surprise I don't feel too burned.

Deep breath!

It's crypto currency, and it's acting volatile, and people are surprised?  Cheesy

It's easier to chuckle if someone is well above water though.

Oh... a lot of my stake was bought in the 3-4 zone... I can still laugh. Wink

However...  to bring us back to doom and gloom...  If we break under 3275 or so with some strength...  then.. um...

Eek?

A very nasty looking head and shoulders there... Sad

I'm no chart genius, but... ... ...

Did you contact Poloniex about that issue? If it bothers you so much, why don't  you ask them what they are gonna do with the unclaimed funds?

That is not how the world works, when you catch a scammer scamming, you tell them what to do not vice versa.
I was hoping the community comes up with an unanimous decision before forwarding instructions to polo.

I woke up one day with 100$  cash in my pocket that I have no idea where it came from - Am I a scammer ?

You know very well where it came from - your friend got wasted last night and put it in your wallet instead of his.
YES YOU ARE A SCAMMER..

Dude.  You will live a much happier life if you go to the doctor, have them test you for depression, anxiety, etc, and take the medicine they prescribe.  Science has done wonders for people with your illness(es).  The longer the wait the longer we all suffer.
5078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 02, 2015, 03:30:15 PM
Grr, I just have to pause to say I look forward to this very CHILDISH avatar joke to be over.  Makes us look like idiots in my opinion.
5079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 02, 2015, 03:28:44 PM
Once Monero has a GUI, I doubt I will ever use Bitcoin again. Monero will be superior in every possible way.

lol you can buy what, exactly, with monero?

This is an important point.  There CAN be an answer though...  Will we see one?
5080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 01, 2015, 08:23:58 PM
Again this need for a binary situation where either Bitcoin or Monero comes out on top is IMHO misguided.

I think it is unlikely that Monero supplants bitcoin.  However it's not really the point.  Monero offers a set of features that Bitcoin does not.  The two can easily coexist.
