5061  Other / Meta / Re: ban appeal on: December 20, 2016, 09:27:48 PM
You were likely banned for spam. If it weren't enough, you also admit that you have had multiple accounts?

The only plausible thing to infer is that you were spamming the forum with all of your accounts and thus have already faced bans previously. Since you did not learn your lesson, you were punished for it. Permanently.

When you're posting every 2 minutes, then there's a problem. (6 posts within 12 minutes, seen on knowhow's post history [Archive]) When you were able to post 20 posts in an hour, there's a problem.

Care to list the alts for us, by the way?
5062  Economy / Lending / Re: lend 0.02 btc on: December 20, 2016, 09:17:46 PM
Hey, hey, hey! Where have I seen these before? Freshly-made account? Moderately-sized loan request (given history or lack thereof)? No details whatsoever and just a single address?

Wow, impressive! You've managed to avoid including: a repayment amount, a reason for the loan, a way you intend to repay the loan, and lastly and most importantly, any collateral whatsoever!

Here you go - this is exactly what you need! Hopefully next time you'll learn your lesson and help us all by adding in some information.

I didn't get mine? And was like one of the first to vote???
Never received my 0.01, I was the 200th reply and im sure there was some that didn't qualify, was I disqualified?

Enjoying your negative feedback now? Hopefully next time you'll learn your lesson. No more loan defaulting and ponzi-running. Smiley

I received my 0.01. I'm pretty happy.

If they actually do that then it will only harm themselves with all the negativity. That is an impossible thig for them to do and 1 btc is only a small amount for a site like bitdice. They have been in the gambling industry for far too long just to risk their reputation with only 1 btc so you can be assure of this one
Impossible? You mean... 2FA is only possible with logins but not withdrawals? Where have you been, mate? It's not risking their reputation -- in fact, it would further establish it. If BitDice were in the position to be able to allow players to log into an account where they could see the balance but not do anything with it, then that would surely show off their security - more than this current thread.

Of course, such a demonstration would require the implementation of a few things: restriction on betting, restriction on tipping, restriction on withdrawals
Betting restrictions could be time-based or toggled with 2FA along with tipping, and withdrawals can require an authentication (via Google Authenticator or SMS)

[though if really necessary the server could just simply ignore all withdrawal/tip/bet requests from that specific account, acting as if it were secure]

Yep, there isn't any incentive for them to harm their reputation in this manner. This promo is obviously to show the strengths / security of their login system so it is unlikely someone will get in, but if they do I'm sure the 1 BTC will still be there waiting.

Again, not harming if they do it correctly. And it's not really a "promo" per se since it's to show off their new "security" which is just a simple email authentication (from foreign ips or otherwise).

But what would be the point of keeping the 1 BTC there? Nobody would know if they removed it.
5066  Other / Meta / Re: Unable to unwatch a topic I posted in months ago on: December 19, 2016, 06:12:13 AM
Are you getting notices via the Watchlist page or via emails? If so then try clicking the "notify" button - watch and notify are separate things.
5067  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hack Into BitDice And Get 1BTC! on: December 19, 2016, 04:29:54 AM
Pretty sure that the account will have 1 BTC until it is claimed or the promotion is discontinued. I saw the account tipped 1 BTC in chat as well. It is unlikely that someone will access the account but if they do, they should be able to claim the 1 BTC.

Someone... like an admin? Roll Eyes

Just because the account was tipped doesn't mean the funds are static in there - they may have just as easily been transferred to a "safer" place. Though, if anyone did have enough luck to break into the email, they would probably be using their resources somewhere else - somewhere more profitable.

How much are you willing to bet?

But we'll never know the result of the bet. And there's always the possibility of foul play Wink

For sure, this is one legit product promo offer. The thing is, it is basically impossible for the account to be hacked. Not many websites have this type of security, -snip-

What are you talking about?

Lots of sites (that are deserving of security, not your online farmville crapsites) have email authentication on foreign IPs. Lots of sites have 2FA, and some sites/programs offer their own authenticator service - there's LastPass and Microsoft programs for example.

Did you already sent those 6 codes?
Did he already confirmed if 2 of your 6 cards are works?
where is the proofs if you getting scammed? From your screenshot i just see if he will pay once he confirm atleast 2 of your cards are works

proof updated.
There still isn't any indication that those codes were correct, do you understand?

The only thing you've now included are (possibly) codes that you still can't prove were valid.

We're at an impasse where neither side can show that they are the victim - such is the problem with selling gift codes and other similar items that can only be proven to be legitimate after they are claimed.

Regardless of it,a scam is a scam.

and thus that is why my question was asked; since there is nothing else to really work with.
5070  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hack Into BitDice And Get 1BTC! on: December 19, 2016, 01:29:19 AM
If there is no 2fa to the account I think hacker just need to get comfirmation from this email to get his through. With the email confirmation then this 1 btc will sure be easily to hack though. Dodedice give everything right away right? Username and password, so the main problem here is just some email that hacker need to have to make sure they can login to this btc free account

Most likely scenario: there isn't any problem whatsoever.

This is just a PR thing to introduce their security implementations - that's all. I'm willing to bet that on the account, there isn't even 1 BTC anymore - likely given to the account solely for this post and then released - however it is an interesting way of marketing the site. What would be more interesting to see is perhaps authorization on withdrawals - allowing players to enter the account yet preventing them from withdrawing the 1 BTC funds.

In light of the fact that the minimum investment time is 24 hours, I will say this:

My previous calculation was, in fact, wrong due to this.

If the amount that is returned is 0.5% of the original deposit, and one continually invests in the business, then that would be (1.005^365) = 617.47% APR.

That's pretty high.
5073  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.01BTC, i have collateral on: December 17, 2016, 09:32:38 PM
It's fine, guys. It's a freshly-made account with pretty useless collateral (that's also trying to be sold right now in Digital goods) asking for a relatively high loan, but I think I'm going to take a gamble! Why did he make atheists?

God doesn't exist.
Or
God exists and he really couldn't care less what people believe.

Option #3:

God's an asshole. No one is going to heaven.
5075  Other / Meta / Re: why to make multiple accounts ?? on: December 17, 2016, 09:16:24 PM
I've been reading this Quickseller vs Lauda argument and just wanted to point out that you seem to be talking about two different problems here. One is joining multiple signature campaigns with your alts, which IMO should be allowed,

If we consider the fact that there's a posting quota for signature campaigns, then we can consider that over all the campaigns, the posting quality in general for the user is inversely proportional to the amount of alts that are registered in campaigns. Say you have 50 posts to make in the month vs 500 posts to make in the month. Do you really think that someone replying will be able to pump out such a massive amount with the same amount of post quality (given that it was high) as a user who would only need to post 50 times?

Farming a signature campaign is a bit different, because it's usually against the campaign rules, so a person doing it is cheating the manager and deserves a negative rating from him.

Slightly different but it doesn't change much - the user is still participating in signature campaigns with multiple accounts and the post quality declines accordingly. It matters not whether it affects a single campaign or multiple campaigns (in fact you would prefer for it to be a single campaign since you could source all the spam to it and request them to be stricter) since the overall quality of the forum still goes down.

That leaves us with some questions: What if the manager allows to farm his campaign with alt accounts? What if he carefully reads posts and kicks spammers? There are always people who post a lot, because they have nothing better to do.
Perhaps so, but if they have that amount of time, then they can actually contribute to the discussion with useful information instead of recycled bullshit like in the spam megathreads with 40+ pages of quotes and agreement quotes.

ex.

Quote
<other spam here>
yes I agree with <general statement> because <same thing as was quoted; worded slightly differently>
5076  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Believers are 100% successful gamblers. on: December 17, 2016, 04:52:57 PM
"I've already done well enough reading."  <--- this phrase sir tells me everything about you.

How so? What does one phrase explain about a person? How can you possibly derive any significant amount of knowledge from one insignificant sentence uttered? Usually when you run out of arguments, you try to attack the opposition or change the subject - and then at that point, your arguments are not based on logic anymore.

Well, atleast we're believers better than atheists and by the way i'm not a gambler im a muslim.
Thank you.

You're better than atheists for what reason? Why does believing in god have anything to do with the characteristics of someone?

Would you instantly think of me in a better light if I were to suddenly believe in... let's say unicorns as a god rather than not? If so, then why do you state believers > atheists?

Do you think of people who believe in Christianity as being better than atheists? How about Judaism? Or Scientology? Or Pastafarianism? Or the Invisible Pink Unicorn? What about believing that there's a teapot in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter?

If you are willing to pass the later ones by as being "foolish" then I ask of you - what makes your religion not foolish? Do you deny the fact that a large number of people in the past have believed religiously in Valhalla, in gods upon Mt. Olympus, in Osiris and Ra and all sorts of gods to explain things that they did not understand? What makes yours more reasonable than any other ones?
5077  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why God exists in all people mind? on: December 17, 2016, 04:43:15 PM
God is so great, that even His selfie would kill you just to look at it.    Cool

Damn, is your god actually Cthulhu? Now I understand why you're so fervent about spreading the good word about your god: the Great Dreamer, Sleeper of R'lyeh, High Priest of the Great Old Ones, Cthulhu - the octopus with wings.

(Looking at Cthulhu drives one insane)

I think you guys little bit late. There is 258 post and there is only 200 spot.
Some users may not be eligible - it could be worth posting, given that there is the chance that there are enough uneligible posts or replies that are not direct participation in the giveaway but rather things like

You know there should be another rule:

"Patient participants will be paid only."

Cmmon guys they need to check every requests if they are legitimate or not and it sure takes time. This is just a giveaway and just for fun if someone needs money or btc so bad then why don't you guys get yourself a job.
come on its only 0.01. its not that big

No, its 2btc and 200 users.

as I'm sure you already know.
5080  Other / Meta / Re: why to make multiple accounts ?? on: December 17, 2016, 04:01:29 PM
Seriously, your replies confuse me sometimes. Tongue
But still, if 1 - 2 alts are fine and in different signature campaigns, then this is now a clarification to all those who are trying to join same campaigns with more than 10 - 20 accounts and trying to create a fortune by cheating the forum and not following the rules.

Spammers as of now are probably unlikely to change their posting habits - they will still be spam, whether they have 1 account or 70. If you usually create constructive posts and go on to create a second account, is it really likely that you will start posting shit and littering up the forum? Not very.

I know that this also is not a good thing to go with an alt, but I think that if not "spewing nonsense" but contributing with a good heart, there should be a chance for real users whether same or that ^THIRD AUNT^ Wink  Grin, in order to make well constructive posts with alts, not in same but different signature campaigns.

Nothing should be shared, even if you are family. This only makes trying to prove that there are distinct individuals involved more difficult if not impossible. If you are pooling together resources, what's the big deal with using different wallets? Sure, there's an additional transaction fee per individual if you're all trying to exchange your collected amounts at the end of the month, but then consider it tax - it's much better than being accused of having alts, cheating campaigns, and then being unable to prove it with your only evidence being words - "that was my aunt".

Nobody can believe that. Different accounts, different wallets. If you're sharing the same IP, then it encourages EVERYBODY to post at a higher quality lest all of the accounts be banned... but then again, most IPs that have multiple accounts are not the cause of families but rather a single person.
