the world of football is in shambles and you guys are talking about Chelsea - Brighton, ffs!  Cheesy

Ed Woodward has resigned as chairman of Manchester United

source: https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1384580215016460288
Because this is an EPL prediction thread and not ESL discussion topic Wink
I honestly was thinking about reporting all off-topic posts talking about ESL, since there is already a topic talking about it, but I didn't do it at the end. Dunno what @Trofo think about this mess, but please let's keep ESL stuff out of this topic.
Obviously E.W resignation is related to both leagues (if ESL will stay in the next hours/days) so I think it is ok to mention it here Wink

Edit: BTW, another disappointing result from Chelsea!

Manchester City official withdraw from the European super league following the earlier protest in London by Chelsea fans and other football lovers demanding their club to have some dignity and let go of greed. Chelsea are also considering dumping the ESL in the next few hours. Manutd, Arsenal and Liverpool might also take the bold step.

Quote
Official statement. Manchester City Football Club can confirm that it has formally enacted the procedures to withdraw from the group developing plans for a European Super League.
Domino pieces are falling one by one? I think it is healthier to see a reasonable ESL with another format better and more equitable than this imo. Wonder know how Perez is feeling right now Roll Eyes

Can I ask you gentlemen to move any discussion related to ESL here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5331642.0
Major leagues discussions topics are flooded right now with posts related to this event and posts discussing the incoming games can barely be seen..
Thanks for your understanding!

Even though they are 7 points behind Bayern Munich, they will still try to catch up with Bayern Munich, because there are still 5 matches left.

However, Koln want to get out of the relegation zone, they are only 3 points behind Hertha Berlin, 4 points from Arminia Bielefeld and 5 points from Mainz.

At the end of the season there are many matches that determine everything.
Leipzig lost the first place earlier this season, missed so many opportunities to run alone while Bayern was losing badly. This team doesn't seem mature enough to grab the title yet. I am not even sure they could get all 3 points today..
Bayern vs Leverkusen, well Bayern to win and BTTS?
Bielefeld - Schalke and Bremen - Mainz, might be more interesting to watch Tongue

Chelsea vs Brighton

This game tonight Chelsea on best performance, the won to final FA cup and going to the semifinal on champions league either. while Brighton still fighting too far away from the degradation zone. head to head, Chelsea obviously better than Brighton, 3 won and 2 draw. Chelsea will be turning a full team maybe, cause only Christensen and Kovacic were injured. 3-0 for Chelsea.
This round, Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham and Liverpool failed to get 3 points. Will Chelsea fail too? Odds aren't interesting with 1.6 for Chelsea and 6 for Brighton. BTTS isn't guaranteed but odds wasn't bad @2.2
I believe Chelsea will win this match and grab the 3rd spot, at least temporarily.

As said Jesper Moller who is a member of the UEFA Executive Committee. UEFA will take strict sanctions for every club that follows the European Super League, and they will be banned from playing in all UEFA competitions.
The same sanctions also apply in the Europa League, MU and Arsenal are Super League club that still play in the Europa League.
This doesn't make sense. Crowning PSG without playing a single game of the finals? Then when PSG switch stance and join that ESL, they will strip that title from them?
I believe the ESL should take place between first 4 teams in CL + EL after few modifications of those 2 leagues.

It's happening!!! top 6 about to get kicked out of the EPL!!??!??

who the fck is gonna watch the EPL now??  lolololol where will the money from sponsors, betting sites and the likes go? to the Super League of course, EPL could go broke in a few years...this is wild, guys
A lot of pression is happening right now on the involved clubs. Even Boris Johnson and Macron (French president) have something to say about this. UEFA? president tho said something also about banning players from participating with their national team in World Cup... That's a big mess!

There is a misunderstanding here boys. Atalanta is a good team and no one said otherwise! winning vs Juve isn't something impossible, especially without CR7, yet I was waiting for a draw. Inter drew with Napoli wasn't also a surprise.  I wasn't too surprised for these 2 results but as I said, I wasn't expecting to see Torino beating Roma. Hope it is clear now.
5069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 19, 2021, 02:17:24 PM
Losing several players made it difficult for ZIDANE to choose which players to play in the first minute, Even though there are some core players who are still fit, but rotation must be done due to fatigue. The draw in last night's match was a very painful blow to Real Madrid. because they failed to keep their distance from the atletico who were ranked first.
Loss of some key players, plus fatigue from the fixture congestion, yes... that's why they dropped the points. And they have the Chelsea games coming up, too, which won't help.

Atletico are back in the driving seat now. Perhaps their match next month vs Barcelona will prove crucial... but maybe not, it's shaping up to go right to the end of the season, i think.
Personally I hope Atletico hold on, they deserve it based on their early season form Smiley
I also want ATM to win the title this season, they deserve it and yesterday gift from Real Madrid wasn't expected at all. Rotating a limited number of players didn't show to be working. Playing a match every 3 days + fighting for CL + La Liga isn't easy Undecided
5070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 19, 2021, 02:06:40 PM
Spurs just now have sacked Jose Mourinho. There is still an official announcement to be made but there are many sources which have confirmed that Jose Mourinho have been sacked: https://www.givemesport.com/1677754-jose-mourinho-has-been-sacked-by-tottenham-hotspur.

Not a surprise to me after his failure to keep Spurs in Europa and have been performing bad in PL as well. Nothing is working out for them and change was needed. Wonder next likely candidates for the job.
That's weird. Spurs are doing badly from a while. They were the top team then dropped to reach the 7th spot right now. I would understand the team sacking him weeks ago but now?? What left for them to win? The fight for CL is almost impossible and EL seems to be a hard thing to achieve.
I think there is something hidden as cryptofrka mentioned.
5071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 19, 2021, 01:56:06 PM
There is no way Inter will lose this title.
Especially when you find Milan and Juve smashing themselves in Mai. Inter might even win before 3 rounds once Milan drops points before Juve match.
Torino 3-1 Roma was the most unexpected result imo this round! more than Atalanta and Inter games.
5072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 18, 2021, 03:56:56 PM
To win at all costs: this is the absolute imperative for Atlético Madrid, which will play vs Eibar today. The colchoneros cannot afford any more missteps, if they want to defend the first place in the table from the assaults of Real and Barça. The final sprint promises to be a real battle and Simeone's team is called to give an important signal after the recent negative results.
Therefore, Atletico Madrid cannot fail and is certainly favored for victory in a match in which they might not even concede goals to Eibar (2-0?).
Simeone boys aren't kidding today, 5 goals to 0 vs Eibar, that's one of the largest score by ATM since September 2020! And yeah, Eibar is failing so far from making a real attempt with a few minutes left on the game.
5073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 18, 2021, 02:43:16 PM
I think PSG will score 2-3 goals today.
You are correct and that was a very accurate tip Wink

Looks like PSG game is slowly heading towards a DRAW...
-snip-
EDIT : I can't believe that we have 5 goals in 12 minutes in PSG - Etienne ...what a crazy game and what really happened there ? It was a chill game.
Yeah lol, I expected to see many goals in this game but certainly not 5 at the end!
Anyway PSG made the gap only 1 point with Lille again and next round will be crucial for both.
BTW Dijon 2-0 Nice, this is not nice at all! Tongue

Sad to see the game starting in 20 minutes without CR7  Angry
Atalanta 0-0 Juve after 75 minutes of the game, no CR7, Dybala and Chiesa sent out of the pitch. Few opportunities, it appears the game will end with a draw which will be very disappointing for Juve but very good for Inter.
5075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 18, 2021, 02:21:49 PM
Arsenal conceded a goal, now things are harder for Gunners. The match had a pretty low tempo though, I don't know if they can score two goals and flip the game after only a 1/3rd of game left. Arteta should change game tactic, Lacazette couldn't find ball with this midfield. Now Fulham will do harder defense. They are closer to point(s).
Arsenal has pretty much nothing to fight for in EPL this season. They will not get a place for European competitions most likely since the other teams are way better and they will not get relegated. At the opposite, Fulham is trying its best to avoid relegation, which appears very hard considering they will have to face Chelsea and ManU in the remaining games..so every point counts Wink
For the moment, Sheffield is officially relegated.

Edit: gunners scored at the extra extra extra time! 1-1, too bad for Fulham!
5076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 18, 2021, 10:45:30 AM
Now, there is another chance available for PSG to close the gap with Lille as they drew with Montpellier in their game two days ago. PSG's competitor are St. Etienne today and it's another quite easy game for them. I suppose they will be the winner and decrease the point difference with the leader to 1 point.
Yeah I assume the same. PSG shouldn't lose any point from now on it they would like to keep the title for them this season. St-Etienne isn't mission hard and Lille draw was unexpected and a nice offer to PSG. The next game of Lille is vs Lyon, a quite hard one with a risk of dropping points, so PSG shouldn't really miss this opportunity!
5077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 17, 2021, 08:56:57 PM
It's been literally all Barcelona all through the first 45 minutes, but Barcelona haven't been to convert any of their numerous and this always comes back to hunt them, especially playing against Athletic Bilbao.

There's still 45 minutes to play for and it will be in the best interest of Barcelona not to concede first, else it might be game over.
Griezmann and now De Jong in just few minutes, Barca is now leading with 2 goals with Bilbao barely making a single attempt. Game over tho.

Edit: Messi scored, 3 - 0 for Barcelona. Party?

My weekend pick in the bundesliga below

B. Monchengladbach - Eintracht Frankfurt
Wolfsburg - Bayern Munich
Bayer Leverkusen - FC Koln

I think Gladbach and Frankfurt will end in a draw; while Bayern would vent their champions league on wolfsburg by hammering them with more than 3 goals...
Nice, Bayern won and scored 3 goals vs Wolfsburg which scored 2. Bayern has to fix their defence for real. Leverkusen back on the track to European competitions but the most unexpected result is M'Gladbach winning with 4 - 0 Frankfurt. Since when M'Gladbach is winning big and vs one of the "top" teams!
5079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 17, 2021, 07:22:09 PM
Atalanta @2.15 - Juventus @3.10
Wow, I didn't expect such odds but still, it looks like I would prefer the over goal and / or btts bet for this match. It's very confusing for me personally because Atalanta are currently a strong team and full of surprises, so when both teams look like they have a chance to score, then betting on the number of goals is a good option I think. Considering when they play at least there are always goals that are scored and in fact, their last two matches ended in a draw and in fact at that time Juventus still dominated Serie A.
Yeah odds are weird but maybe as coinlocket mentioned, it is related to CR7 absence?
I agree that betting on one of them to win is a bit risky but BTTS odds aren't interesting alone @1.5, over 2.5/3 @1.78 might worth the attention too.

Bilbao's record in league cup finals in the 21st century: 4 games, 4 lossess (3 against FC Barcelona)
on the other hand, Barcelona's record: 9 finals, 7 wins, 2 losses (vs. Real Madrid and Valencia)

guys, who's gonna win tonight??
History, performance, odds (Barca @1.62 - Bilbao @5.4) are all on Barca's side. Apart from Bilbao kicking Barca from Supercopa, it lost twice against it in La Liga this season. In addition, Barca is hungry for a trophy this season so...
