5081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money Laundering Operations? on: February 20, 2019, 07:58:06 AM
the gas limit is what makes it look like a mistake. there have been cases like this before with bitcoin caused by badly coded wallet software or mixing software. what makes you think it was intentional?

some more discussion here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111978.0;all

It's good that you bought up the thread.
Look at the timeline of the abnormal transactions again.

1. What kind of stupid person would make 5 mistakes one after the other?
2. If it's an error from a badly coded wallet software then we would have far more similar transaction than just 5, I looked at the address and it seems to be sending out so many transactions.

Yup, that's why I think it's intention. Ether gas limit is 21000 by default
5082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money Laundering Operations? on: February 20, 2019, 07:25:55 AM
Or maybe the sender accidentally sent 0.1 ETH with 2100 ETH miners fee? It's mostly happen to other's including me due to lack of knowledge how the gas fee works.

I don't think it was a mistake.
Code:
Size: 34,690 bytes
Gas Used: 7,987,602 (99.84%)
Gas Limit: 8,000,029
It was intentional.
Look at the gas limit, Who sets that kind of gas limit to just send ether(it's usually 21,000)?  Grin
and look at the gas used... my belief is that it was either a glitch or someone intentionally decided to reward(very likely)
5083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gambling vs Forex vs Crypto Trading on: February 20, 2019, 07:18:51 AM
Gambling is purely based on luck and should be done mainly for fun, if you do it expecting to get rick very quickly then you are mistaken. You may end up getting depressed.

Stock trading requires a lot of skill and knowledge... I tried it once and gave up on the whole thing however I found crypto trading a lot easier and a little predictable. It very easy to make money with bitcoin's volatility. For example, I bought at 3540... I have already sold at 3900. I am expecting a slight drop before Friday.
5084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money Laundering Operations? on: February 20, 2019, 07:06:01 AM
I doubt if its money laundering as there are so many mining pools involved.
There are so many theories but i will just drop this here

If I were you, I would first work on my product before rushing for a token sale.
Have you checked on your website for example?
It can't even load. How will you attract investors then?

5088  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MICA (Microcaplist.com) - Plagiarized Whitepaper - Scam on: February 20, 2019, 05:31:27 AM
I never know it would scam or not, and I always lock bounty thread of each project that has problem ... I hope you will delete redtrus and I'll be more careful in running project
Locking a thread is not the issue. The issue is the bounty hunters' time that has been wasted just because you did not take enough time to do background checks on the projects you are going to promote.
Prevention is better than cure.

5092  Other / Meta / Re: "Recovering hacked/lost accounts" full process, nothing happened on: February 18, 2019, 06:22:05 AM
Your name does not even show up in the seclog. It should be visible there if the recovery process had started.
According to your last activity, Looks like you and I got our accounts hacked at around the same period.

Try doing the whole procedure over again and I suggest you follow the procedure I used for my account recovery here and see if it can help.
The advantage you have is the signed message which I didn't even have so be sure to include it in the message and use the original email of the account.

If there is any progress, you can share it here.

5094  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitbook Sportsbook And Casino FAKE TEAM on: February 16, 2019, 01:40:59 AM
However due to mistake of the company register agent, they provided us with the wrong photo, and that photo belonged to Diego Marquez Arango. Since Andres Martinez resides in Costa Rica and has not met other members of the team and has facial similarity with Diego Marquez Arango this mistake went unnoticed.

Same old excuse time after time when scammers here are busted for having fake profiles. I think you guys need to work on a new excuse because that line is getting pretty boring these days.

1. You hired a man who is supposed to be your CEO and you even don't know how he looks like?

2. How does the man in the ID even have any facial similarity with Diego Marquez Arango?
All you did was copy and image from a different website (which is funny because it had the name Diego Marquez Arango) and then you put it into your website and started calling him Andres Martinez (Photo is 100% a match, not even a slight distortion)

3. Diego Felipe Márquez Arango is an associate attorney from Colombia, how does his picture end up into the company registry books in Costa Rica, which is 1,191 km way?
I tell you how... It's through a scam online casino and ICO.
5095  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitbook Sportsbook And Casino FAKE TEAM on: February 14, 2019, 06:20:46 PM
Good job OP finding this project with a fake CEO.
We posted on their ANN and we expect them to answer to this accusation. Any serious company would defend themselves and provide valid evidence.
In this case, a FAKE CEO image - stealing someone's identity - is not good for them.

Thanks too for getting further details about the real person behind the profile. Am also waiting for them to come out and defend themselves instead of using newbie accounts  to bump their ANN thread as I have seen a few moments back.

5099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous Links on This Forum? on: February 14, 2019, 03:38:00 AM
I don't think it's likely for you to get compromised just by clicking on a link or opening a site, but I use Adblockers/malware blocker and pop-up blockers since that is where viruses come from most of the time. Other times, you will be asked to install an extension or application before the virus gets into the system so be wary of those. You can sometimes tell when a site doesn't look legit by judging from it's domain name.

Well adblockers/malware blockers will most likely not see Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Clickjacking coming when you visit a compromised website.
NoScript perfectly stops them even before they do anything.

Cryptojackers? Isn't this part of getting your browser compromised too? What can your  adblockers really do to stop cryptojackers  Grin

To save yourself from the hustle, if you can, just let go that account. Create another one(Of course refresh your IP address)
And also one thing to keep in mind is that chances of getting this proxy ban are very high when registering using very private browsers like Tor according to my experience so if you can avoid them at least when registering.
