5081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 13, 2019, 07:49:21 PM
Though this would be a common among most players because that’s the reason we all came into the game: to make money and have all the fun in the world but unfortunately, we get the opposite. When we are winning, the things flashes on mind would be continuing and making more profits.

I suffered great depression some weeks back because I have too high expectation while playing. In my opinion, I really think eradicating high expectations should be one of the things that should be listed as a negative gambling attitude because this is the frustrating department of gambling. First of this thought makes a gambler lose focus, hereby not winning the game and worst of all is the frustration that comes from losing the game. This was me last month after I lost my games.
5082  Economy / Economics / Re: Worrying Stock Market Drop and Fiat Devaluation on: August 13, 2019, 05:19:09 PM
I guess considering companies in USA hasn't been making as much profits as they used to because of the trade wars going on it is only expected that it will go even worse. Maybe not right away because they are waiting for 2020 but if trump gets reelected (I give it a low chance but I gave it a low chance first time as well so who knows) then the companies will realize they are stuck with him for another 4 years and there is no point on postponing the bad results which will make DOW go down even more.

These companies are usually the ones that deal with china for manufacturing, even the biggest company in the world Apple who reached 1 trillion dollar valuation at some point can't really continue their operations with china without getting hit with some costs so it is gonna go worse and worse.
5083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What methods currently exists to buy Bitcoin with fiat without a third party? on: August 13, 2019, 05:07:14 PM
When it comes to platform where you can find peer to peer transaction, I think localbitcoins would still be the only better option that I know, I have quite done some peer to peer transaction trough it using their escrow services and I think it was great which you already know, so why not just go for the one you also know already rather than getting the ones that people would just shilled to you with no genuine facts.

The second option I would have also advised you to go for is a decentralized exchange which is what the exchange is designed for to eliminate third party involvement and when it comes to dex, I believe that you have also mentioned the best of them to do the transaction you want which is the BISQ, so I think you are good to go.
5084  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is margin trading worth checking out? on: August 13, 2019, 03:42:38 PM
Quite technical or a more elaborative way on introducing margin trading to him  Grin
That user seemed like an innocent newbie so I tried to explain it as simply as possible. But I doubt they would actually read my comment let alone reply with their own comments.
If he is really a newbie, it would be best for him to stay off margin trade for the moment because margin trade is fir pro traders before he will go and leverage what will make his investment disappeared within a twinkle of an eye. I see most brokers promoting leverage as people who are just trying to make more profit too because of the passion they push into asking people to go into leverage which they quite know alright that its full of dirty risk.

As pro as I am in trading, what leveraging did to me in 2007, I will never ever forget it in my life, although I was suing it on Forex then, but if not for leveraging that made me loose over $10800, I would have probably be a bitcoin millionaire by now and be counting lots of bitcoin. I was tempered to leverage high and it was like a second, the whole market went down without stop loss used, all money lost.
5085  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: August 13, 2019, 02:35:28 PM
It is not really that important to learn "how to trade" as long as you want to invest. I mean if you want to be a day trader then you need to start studying it a bit but if you are going to just buy some altcoin and hold it for long enough then you do not need to know the technical analysis or some other stuff that all day traders use or you don't ever have to look at the charts.

As long as you use money you are willing to lose you can even do day trading and you can learn how to trade while learning at the same time, after all doing something is the best teacher and the more you do the better you get. This is not some art related stuff where its subjective if you are good or not, its finances and if you make money you are good and if you lose money you are bad so you will learn it quicker.
5086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Alternative view: There is no bull market. Bitcoin will go down. on: August 13, 2019, 07:15:35 AM
if I think a bull run will also be experienced this year, because now the growth of bitcoin prices is also starting to grow, so I think the price of bitcoin will also increase again in the coming time
I am still trying to figure out the factor that will usher in the bull run but I am still yet to see it, the only factor that I have seen is that of Facebook, and I think that the project may not see its light, another factor that would have easily contributed to it even long time ago was ICO if we had ICO that were genuine and would still attract the new investors to the industry, but as ICO is no longer much attractive, we do not have many new investors to invest in the cryptocurrency market to cause  major breakout.

The only factor that I am relying on right now is the halving of bitcoin, although I expected so much from that of Litecoin but was disappointed, but I believe that the one for bitcoin will really make a great impact because it is the most popular crypto till date.
5087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to make Hard move up or Break down Hard on: August 13, 2019, 06:22:43 AM
I honestly do not see what you have here as analysis because you are not being specific, if you are analyzing, then you need to be a little bit specific about the direction where bitcoin will take and you should be able to say if it will be heading upward or downward and not just these guessing game as your topic says.

Which other option do we have for bitcoin direction other than to move upward or sideways, one must definitely happen, so when I read your analysis, I expected to see that you will be more direct about your prediction and let us know exactly the directions that you feel bitcoin will go based on your own analysis. Based on my own analysis, I believe that bitcoin will be moving forward within the next few weeks and could head up for $15k.
5088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Live long and prosper on: August 12, 2019, 07:52:42 PM
im not see a correlation about bitcoin and personal wealth or prosperity, the only thing crypto/bitcoin successfully done till today is cutting fee for sending money, crypto currency is my first option to paying goods from internet, its fast and cheap
You are not seeing the way it has changed a lot of people’s financial status because you have probably not explored other opportunities that are available in it for making money. one of the key reason why bitcoin was actually created is what you are using it for, and it has also help  so many people with their transactions too as much as it has helped you too, but we have some benefits that came along with the usage, which is investment, trading and job opportunities.

With these three, it has really changed my life in a great way, it was as if God sent this system to me, because prior to when it was released, I had nothing doing, no job despite my effort to get one and my skills, but bad government factor didn’t give e chance until I got to know if bitcoin. The first door opened when I invested and made money, then I learnt to trade which is now my full job and also do some other jobs where I get paid. So, tell me how bitcoin has not changed my financial status.
5089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need anonymity? on: August 12, 2019, 06:43:05 PM
I think this message goes more to the authority because they are the ones that are being too secretive about everything that they do and we really need transparency in our country, it is this anonymity that has made lots of countries producing corrupt leaders that are just making money out of their citizens by stealing from them through the anonymous system they all claim they operate on in the power house.

It is Time to really embrace and push for decentralization, even the government must make sure that all their system are fully decentralized from even the voting system so that everything can be transparent, but the issue is who would push for this decentralized system? Expect we keep pushing it in the little way it has been which take lot of years before it will can creep into government system.
5090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin mixers be considered illegal by worldwide governments? on: August 12, 2019, 04:17:09 PM
I have never heard about the privacy coin you mentioned and it does not look popular to me, which I don’t see much about it on the forum except now, I know of Monero and grin, and I feel these are even more popular, but in the event that it becomes popular, government would never allow it except maybe the system is handed over to the government to control since you said that it is a centralized system and has middle man in it, which is not different from the way the traditional fiat method operates.

If it is a system that would jeopardize the operation of the government, Sure they will put an end to it, if they are still fighting the main bitcoin hard, then they would have no problem putting this one you mentioned away like it does not exist.
5091  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you see cryptocurrency 10 years from now? on: August 12, 2019, 06:31:46 AM
What I am hoping right now is that bitcoin should be getting a more common payment processing system, Libra could be totally like that but we have no idea. For example, I want to have a debit card that would allow me to spend bitcoin anywhere but I would be keeping my money in bitcoin without exchanging, the shop I am purchasing something is getting the fiat currency they want but I am spending only bitcoin.

Right now, very few places are doing that (or there are plenty of prepaid debit cards) however I want this to be a common practice, the more we get this around the people then the more everyone will start to realize bitcoin is not just a thing you buy and try to make a profit from but also a thing where you can earn/spend like a regular currency as well.
5092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Surpass $15,000 This Week: Max Keiser on: August 12, 2019, 05:57:52 AM
Mainstream media attention that is boring and regular is not the same as mainstream media attention when it was 20k.

I don't know if its the same in every country but for a while in 2017 December peak times there was bitcoin in every news channel in my country, not just newspapers (which all of them gave at least one big headlines about bitcoin during that time) but also news channels talking about bitcoin and having panel of guests who were national experts on finance and some CEO's of crypto related companies here, so basically it was like pure bitcoin era for television and newspapers.

All websites mentioned it as well. That is a lot different than weekly "how is btc doing" type of deal, thats regular now and nobody cares about it, we need that huge mainstream media attention back.
5093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks $12,000 Before Plunging, Crypto Markets Turn Downward on: August 11, 2019, 07:12:03 PM
I think these small movements are not really "panic", we have seen the real panic when it was 20k and than it dropped like hell. Hence I think this was more like trend correction where the price went up as much as it could and than it dropped because there isn't enough money to make it go even higher. If the price reaches the peak and there isn't enough new money coming into the market than we can see it going down which happened here, its totally different than panic selling, that is usually like 25%+ drop very quickly all together, this wasn't like that.

Trend movements are expected because it went ups and downs between certain amounts the economy can handle and market does that until we do something HUGE like going under 8k or going above 13k and it will continue until that day comes.
5094  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: August 11, 2019, 06:34:06 PM
Animation literally means nothing, I don't understand why would anyone care about it. After all the animation is there to create some sort of excitement factor but the result doesn't change at all, it is literally just a text result normally and what you get animation is just making it maybe a second longer for you to see the result. It is individual thing of course, if you don't like it than you can disable it but it doesn't matter to me enough to actually go out of my way to disable it since its not really that much of an important thing for me.

However, what bothers me test sound not being actually sound enough, I don't know if we can increase the volume but I would love it if it really makes a sound big enough to get attention, I have been saying that for a long time now, a HUGE sound would be awesome, at least as an option.
5095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How I lost 200,000 EURO on Bitcasino.io on: August 11, 2019, 05:00:06 PM
Quote
If a casino was a scammer and they scammed you then they will be known as a scamming website and they will not get any more customers

Always go with the established betting houses for this reason, if you are a new gambler especially you want a bet provider who has something to lose by not keeping you as a customer.  A website that has existed only weeks and might be gone just as fast may not care about a fair game as any complaints can be ignored before the community recognises the games they run are biased.    A very long term site will just not survive in the end because they will lose more customers then the money gained.
Yeah definitely, when you gamble in places like stake, primedice and so forth you are not risking much, they are telling you the house edge already and you will definitely lose all of your money if you are not careful however at least that is already mentioned and informed by the casino to you.

Aside from that these places are making millions of dollars every single year, they have absolutely no reason to scam you, what could they gain from scamming someone, even if it is like 500 bitcoins they still do not need to scam a person because they can make that much money anyway. Hence always pick casinos that wouldn't mind people winning a ton of money because in the end they will profit, if you pick that type of super rich and wealthy casino then you would be fine (except hackers of course).
5096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 11, 2019, 04:50:15 PM
The feeling is really horrible every day, it's like you won a lottery but the ticket was destroyed, but it's nice for you to post your story here, it's very depressing but at least many will learn and take the lessons coming from your experience, investing in Cryptocurrency is really very risky but investing in gambling is ten times the risk.
Investing in cryptocurrency is not even that risky, the problem is that we do not really understand the market. Those who do, are daily making money. Imagine knowing when the bitcoin price is very down and we purchase and wait till it grows up again, then definitely we would  make profit, but the mistake is buying when its high and then having to wait for a long time for it to balance up. But some gamblers understand the market very well, they know when an increase or decrease is being caused by whales and they know when to hold on, this people make money.

Gambling on the other hand is not even a good place to make investment, Not even by playing or direct investment since there’s possibility of the site crashing someday.
5097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC Process (Sportsbook) on: August 11, 2019, 03:14:34 PM
there are a lot of sites that do not ask for KYC, and I want to believe the ones not asking for are more than those that need. I visit some sites that ask for KYC and I leave to go to other sites without any kind of hurtful feelings, it’s their policy and that’s their business, after all I also have a right to choose. Thank God for alternative sites with even better games.

Let’s not make a big deal out of KYC, it’s the least problems in the gambling industry, maybe we should channel our energy to addressing why the odds are in favor of the house. This is the most pressing need at the moment because it is better to fill in KYC and win money than not filling and yet daily losing our monies on casino sites which is really more painful.
I think you are right bro, we are still left with options to choose from since KYC has not been made mandatory on all casino sites but its better we start preparing for when it becomes compulsory because with the look of things, so many sites are already adopting the policy for the safety of their site.

I don’t even consider it an issue, and I am preparing my mind for that time, filing KYC form would not hurt us or even affect our games, so it’s something I could easily do, but for now, since there are still sites that are KYC free, I would rather play on such sites as long as it is reputable and have my kind of games. Again, if we are sure that we are of age to free from all scam rates, then we have nothing to fear. This is just my opinion on this.
5098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Bounty. Why do it? on: August 11, 2019, 12:51:03 PM
It is also gives you the risk like what happened with binance. I mean how are we so certain that our KYC is safe? Companies want to be safe and be in the legal side by getting our information for bounty but at the end of the day this is a two way street and we want to be certain as well.

For example, our information on binance got leaked, will binance pay us all for it? Will there be compensation? No. They are just gonna go with "it was a third party that got hacked, not our problem" and move on. It makes no sense to trust these companies with our information when they are not even caring about it, if you care enough than put up a bounty for your KYC and say that if any information gets leaked with the KYC than pay everyone damage money where each person that got their KYC hacked will be given 1000 dollars for it. If you can't do that than I don't trust you enough to give you my info.
5099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Habit of Giving Up Is Just An Escape on: August 11, 2019, 10:51:08 AM
As a rule, those who do not give up in the future are very successful. This applies both to the person personally and to any company as a whole. Many teams that conduct ICO alas do nothing. For us, as investors,it is necessary to invest not only in projects but also in the team.No wonder many investors are very closely studying the team before investing. This is really important.
Those who you see that usually give up and goalless people from the onset and they never believe in themselves, I don’t see reason why anyone with goal setting would ever give up when it does not take anything away from them. If it is whitepaper, they already pay for a onetime fee to get it develop, and if it is for the bitcoin forum, they are not being charged for doing so, so why they give up is what baffles me.

Look at bitcoin of STO, while we have had several project meet their hardcap, they are still yet to meet up and very slow in growth which could be discouraging, but yet they keep pushing, and this are signs of a project that is really in their to establish something that would be useful to the world. For us to really spot these weak people out before participating on anything that has to do with them, we need to further do our research first.
5100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover on: August 11, 2019, 10:16:58 AM
You are absolutely right. This is the exceptional case. In fact today's projects are more shiny than its original presence. Its really hard to judge the projects based on the presentations they give to us. I think we should focus on idea, team structure and development part of project.
The last part of your statement is actually the key to having a successful investment growth, if we don’t want to loose our money and we want to protect the capital, it is just to ensure that we get the full assurance that the project would be what it says it would be. Though it can be a little bit difficult because we are not spirits to know the intention of the developer, we can only get a clue psychologically when we make some research into their background, then we can know if the developer would be one that will produce a good result or not.

I think most of the project we have right now, are full of developers that lacks vision and focus and just after money that they can spend and lavish on the material things instead of building their future, if they cannot manage the project in cryptocurrency, they can  never manage any business for the rest of their lives.
