5081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Experiment: A documentary about how real world is on a death spiral on: September 02, 2020, 10:02:05 AM
The documentary runs for around 40 minutes of time. For users who have got little knowledge about bitcoin can get wide learning and awareness about bitcoin. The need for the elimination of intermediaries were also explained. The low number of views show, there isn't big response for news associated with bitcoin. The persons who've liked the videos were the real users of bitcoin, while the people disliked were the bank employees Cheesy
Do you remember the term "Bank the unbanked"?
I do recall this motto to be from a cryptocurrency slogan from years ago. I think it was created for marketing purposes but with blockchain technology anything is possible and the banks are starting to see this now. Wink

I wouldn't rely that much hopes on bitcoin for massive use because it was never meant for that but the idea behind your post may apply to cryptocurrencies in overall. Bitcoin is just a good startup/example but it doesn't mean that it's unique and will suit everything in future. It is just a great model and you know, there doesn't exist V1 because we develop and develop.
There is nothing wrong with fiat model too, what's wrong here is government and in overall us because this is the world we created. We always try to make things easily but don't care about it's pros and cons and in this case I mean money printing like drinking water. We need something that won't give us possibility to fake it or manipulate with it and that's were crypto shines.

That is where the developing you discuss about comes in to play. Bitcoin wasn't meant to work efficiently at a global scale, no. But with innovative new layers to it's blockchain such as the lightning network and using bech32 addresses(segwit) instead of legacy ones. Just these two advancements in it's development alone makes it that much closer to be on par with any other payment system.

To fake it or manipulate with it you say? I think you are referring to the altcoins. Grin
As they are faking V1 of bitcoin's blockchain and manipulating the code to make a different kind of cryptocurrency.

Thanks for sharing!

Not too many views so far from when I am posting this notice. Just 6546 have viewed it with only 232 likes and 13 dislikes. Undecided

That's because the video is only available in 6 countries: https://watannetwork.com/tools/blocked/#url=igw-gMlaxtc

So, if anyone is getting "Video unavailable" as an error message, you'll have to use a VPN.
Alot of people having problems with region restrictions as one other member mentioned this on another thread of mine but referring to having access to a site.

Shame. I tried to register but it says my jurisdiction isn't supported (UK)
So even people being from Great Britain can't access some sites these days. Undecided
They can use a vpn which have been referred to used by alot of youtubers when people are trying to watch certain movies on netflix or other streaming services being region restricted.
Which really is strange because they're paying for these streaming services in the first place.

Watched this documentary which was put out last week (would of posted it sooner but have been having some issues w/real world problems Cheesy) by the rather well known youtube studio Plot11.
They seem to put out these docu-series every day mostly about global issues in the political front, from what you can tell by browsing their last few day's playlist.

The beginning starts off by saying how the fiat system is a failed mess for a financial system and how bitcoin seems to be the only viable option for us as a society can make a working one if we are to survive the upcoming financial crisis.
And as most of us are already living in from what you are reading in the news lately.

Anyways here is the documentary so you can judge for yourself.

Bucks and Heat are pretty equal after half time with them just trading shots and is now tied 73-73. So hard to see who will win and it being game 1 nobody really knows how they would match up with each other to be honest.
Even with the bucks as heavy favorites.

New promotion going on for all you who missed tennis.
With the start of the US OPEN beginning today so if you missed their last streak promotion for uefa then you have a chance to collect some good prizes!

^^
Maybe he was the one who had 9 on there when I checked it the last time but there were a few games left to play.
Wouldn't know why they would remove them though. Undecided
Should of screenshotted it so to post it here.

But yes, tennis would be difficult juts thought it would be nice to try out for this weekend's since the US Open is starting tomorrow.
But the NFL games would be easier to organize without the players having walk offs. Wink

update: Nevermind. Roll Eyes There are 15 winners of this week's multimaster with 9 correct out of the 15 matches.
5090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: August 30, 2020, 10:47:15 PM
If denver is to win then Milsap and Murray have to step up their game and not just rely on Jokic to do all the heavy lifting.
The guy has to have a stellar game in this matchup because it is do or die time now.
Or they'll end up like dallas in their demise of falling to the clippers earlier on.
Have this on the line so just need Jokic to go into beast mode if they're to get the over and win the game.

After the horrible loss with my bet I'll use what I received from the silver VIP last tier reward I received. Lips sealed
Going to try my luck with a tenth of what I lost in stakes from yesterday's bet.

Just need the nuggets to win big now. Grin
5092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 30, 2020, 10:26:07 PM
I manage to get 7 as well happy to see my name posted up high in the leaderboards but was one win short for the prize.
The draws paid off for me but the Santos pick at the end was unfortunate as they get destroyed by VAR.
Can't wait until they get rid of these Chinese/Japanese league games in the multimasters
+1 I want them all gone, Brazillian matches, MLS...two more weeks and everything should get back to normal.
I couldn't agree more, those matches really need to go.
Wait.. what? Embarrassed
When I checked the leaderboard with 3 games left to play I saw there was a sole person with 9 correctly selected.
But when I went back to check they were no longer on there (they had a name I never seen on there before something like Ph1x***) and has 6 separate winners with 8 after seeing my ticket was graded.
I had 6 wins started off with all 3 correct for the first day but didn't have any correctly picked yesterday. Roll Eyes
So at that point knew I didn't have a chance to catch up with todays remaining matches.

Can't wait until they just have Premier/La Liga/Bundesliga just like they've had before for the matches in the multimasters to choose from.
Even tennis from the ATP/WTA would be better than these matches playing at weird times. Where most can't watch them unless it is 3/4am in the morning. Cheesy
5093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: August 30, 2020, 05:54:03 PM
Heroic just killed Vitality in the first map and are looking like they will take this finals from the big dogs.
I don't know what the odds were for them for a sweep getting all 3 maps in a row would be but must of been massive. Wink
5094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 30, 2020, 05:50:59 PM
Ah I thought Kobe lost because when I checked they were down 2 goals at the 86' mark so I guess they hustle and got the 2 to draw.
Still lost on that draw like a few others on my betslip.
Can't wait until they get rid of these Chinese/Japanese league games in the multimasters as there should be plenty of games when the other leagues start up the first weeks of September so we can have a normal one for a change.
Even the russian games are tough to figure out. I never watched them before and dont enjoy even watching the final few minutes to see what the results would be.
But that is totally up to them to decide what to do for the next one. Smiley

The only one who put in their picks for this giveaway was yuvikaa.
They have 28 movies they've recognized from this era.
So far they are the only one so once the competition is closed they will be the winner.

You still have a chance to enter in your selections and I will review them.

Such a close ticket to get 90mbtc from a 4.50mbtc bet. Embarrassed

I completely forgot to tick the box for the bet insurance at the end of my selections. Roll Eyes
So I didn't get my stake back which was the only reason why I selected the 5 multi in the first place.
Would of been a solid win for 18+x odds but thats how the cookie crumbs I guess. Undecided

If this news is confirmed as correct, Barcelona no longer has a way to keep Messi at the club:
''According to El Larguero, Leo Messi would not have to pay his 700 million euro release clause as he is already in the final year of his contract. ''
Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2020/08/30/5f4b7553268e3eaf078b457c.html
I did hear about the payout which needed is being done to whichever team he went to & Manchester city seems to be the only club who has the suitability to be able to pay off this $627million pounds to get him to their club. This amount is equal to the entire team's salary because then they would need to pay whatever it is he is demanding for his salary to be as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPpifBtyJzU
skysports of the transfer fees from 2 days ago

It does look like he is going to Manchester city for certain because of Pep.
As I mentioned back when they lost that monumental match where it seems to start the wheels turning for a potential transfer to happen.
Messi needs to get out of this club now.
Go to pep to get out before your not able to play anymore.
Look at these clowns.

It looks like he missed his feeding of blood tonight. Didn't get a bite. Grin

This video seems to have it all laid out since the moving of the number 10 in city's lineup of jersey numbers. Wink

This lad seems to have the latest news of what the run down is currently on the situation. With messi's father going to meet up with Manchester city executives.

Oh sorry yes I re-checked it and it's just 0.00005 Btc it's really low unlike the others thank you for the clarification I think I was just really excited yesterday on playing games on stake that I missed the one 0.
Since there is an option to view the USD value of your crypto for all bets you place maybe stake can adjust it so withdrawal fees are given in a set USD value as well. Wink
What do you all think of this? I think you would rather pay a flat rate for your withdrawal fee even if bitcoin goes up to ATH again so we are not paying over $5 per withdrawal again. Roll Eyes

I don't know anything about Chinese Super league either. Undecided
I had the last one as another loss which just ended. After that Dallan match I am 0-2 matches so far for me.
