5081  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I shutdown Bitcoind.com on: January 11, 2015, 11:18:48 AM
If it's just another forum or website then it needs to offer something unique or else there's plenty of other better options. I think some sort of decentralised social network could be the future and take a chunk out of Facebook's crown but people are already working on them as far as I know.
5082  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptodouble, Stopped Payouts?? on: January 11, 2015, 11:14:31 AM
You do realise it's a ponzi and they all stop paying out at somepoint? People always get burned whether they do initially pay a little bit out or not.
5083  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Personal Text campaign on: January 11, 2015, 08:37:59 AM
Why don't you just join one of the ones you mentioned? They're hardly worth it though the tiny amount you get.

The most beautiful woman in the world has to be Jared Leto:

5085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Technically was a Success but Greed Is Killing It on: January 11, 2015, 08:24:25 AM
If you can lose access to your bitcoin funds then you can also lose access to your fiat funds on your online banking or PayPal account etc. Bitcoin may not be for everyone or ever achieve full mainstream adoption but at least there's a decent amount of people like us that can see the benefits and potential of it.

Morgan Makes ‘Cents’ Out of Bitcoin

terriblepun.com. Should be an interesting watch though I think he's onviously going to struggle to live on it fully currently, but hopefully it won't be displayed in a negative way and will get others interested or intrigued about it.
5087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Still Use Bitcoin if It Had No Anonymity? on: January 11, 2015, 08:08:53 AM
Bitcoin may eventually have such restrictions imposed on it under AML laws etc, but even if it did come under such regulations it would still be a better and fairer system than banks and PayPal etc so yes I would still use it.
5088  Other / New forum software / Re: The ability to tag users in your post? on: January 11, 2015, 08:03:25 AM
It has been brought up/requested before but it is open to abuse and people spamming it etc which would get annoying pretty quickly. Part of me would be interested in seeing the posts I was mentioned in but I don't know how workable it would be or if the positives outweigh the negatives.
5089  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: January 11, 2015, 08:00:04 AM
I may agree in principle with such a vote, but i'm really concerned by the possible/prevedible abuse of it. What if we can filter the number of likes with for example only trusted users one displayed?

What's to abuse exactly? Doesn't really matter if a post has 1k likes as it doesn't really give you any power or anything. People would be able to see through it if it was a post that was undeserving of so much thanks, but I think the names should be able to be viewed for various reasons and this being one of them.
5090  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are Vitaly's pranks staged?? on: January 06, 2015, 02:52:01 PM
I like vitaly but it wouldn't surprise me if half of all these YouTube prankster videos were staged. Obviously the World Cup thing was legit though so I don't doubt the size of his balls. Isn't he working on a film right now?
5091  Other / Off-topic / Re: My wifi name is "Bitcoin" :) on: January 06, 2015, 02:48:10 PM
You should put your bitcoin address instead and see if you get any donations.... Or hacked like vod said  Cheesy.
5092  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What could Bitstamp have done better? on: January 06, 2015, 02:41:32 PM
Depends on whether they needed that many coins in their hot wallet. If they don't then it was silly but exchanges are obviously going to need a large amount of liquid funds.  Has it been confirmed what actually happened yet?
5093  Other / Politics & Society / Re: uk government on: January 06, 2015, 02:38:06 PM
It seems like any British celeb from the 80s was a paedo. Interesting to see what comes of the Prince Andrew allegations that came out very recently. Could be a shitstorm brewing.
5094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why it all went wrong in 2014 - but why 2015 can be better. on: December 30, 2014, 01:54:25 PM
well, 2014 has been a really bad year for bitcoin because of many factors, but mtgox is a determinat factor that has spoilt bitcoin enviroment
however, we have seen lots of new investors and enterprises that have been entering into bitcoin

Hasn't been that bad really. Had lots of companies getting involved and I'm sure many are planning to for next year.

and I think that 2015 will be a very good year for bitcoin

That's what people said about this year  Cheesy.
5095  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Primedice BS on: December 23, 2014, 11:03:46 PM
This is gambling. When there probability to lose, you still can lose more than you expected

Fixed. Gambling rarely is fun when you lose. I'd suggest staying away from it all together if you can't handle the losses.
5096  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Majority of British citizens want to quit EU on: December 23, 2014, 10:59:58 PM
Economically Britain really isn't a part of eu anyway Because they have their own currency unlike other eu members.

Doesn't stop us sending billions to it. I'd have to look into the specific positives and negatives of being a member of the EU but at the moment the latter seems to outweigh the former especially when it just seems like a massive drain on the taxpayer for little benefit.
5097  Other / Meta / Re: Delete Account on: December 23, 2014, 10:53:52 PM
Maybe a good reason why accounts shouldn't be deleted. People can always change their minds at a later date (or even three hours later  Grin).
5098  Other / Meta / Re: Beware bitcointalk.org on: December 23, 2014, 10:50:53 PM
It might not be the same person and just a copycat. These type of scans are very common and very easy to pull off with little effort.
5099  Other / Off-topic / Re: Not sure if i should go note 4 or iphone 6 on: December 23, 2014, 10:44:54 PM
Haven't played on a Galaxy Note but I'd try and ditch Apple personally. If you get rid of the tablet you won't need to worry about it synching  Grin.
5100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Emails Leaked., emails hacked on: December 23, 2014, 10:42:20 PM
What is this can any one confirm this  Huh

It is a scam and yes I can confirm it.

i think the OP himself is the scammer. trying to say someone else has emails and someone else is selling them..

normally whomever comes to the forum advertising something.. is usually the culprit.

Sometimes this is true but sometimes also people think there might be some truth to it and want confirmation.
