5081  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you a trader or a hodler? on: May 26, 2022, 11:18:51 PM
I am a trader and also a holder. But I'm not a day trader because I realize I still need to learn more to analyze well. Becoming a trader or holder is not easy because they must have skills in analyzing market conditions. Meanwhile, if they decide to become a holder, they also need to learn about controlling their emotions because the price of coins in crypto will change every minute. Many people fail to become traders and holders because they didn't learn about it or manage their emotions.
5082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your recent altcoin investment and why? on: May 26, 2022, 05:56:51 PM
Guys, let us know your choices. Name the currencies you bought recently. Let me know that who is getting profit these days  Wink
I haven't bought any currency recently. But I already have a few altcoins that might give me an advantage. I still haven't made as much money as the others but I'm still trying because, who knows, the coins I buy might match. I've bought some Matic, BNB, ETH, DOT, and I think it could increase if the price of bitcoin can hold its position for a while or experience a slight decline. But I am not very interested in investing in new coins because they are too risky.
5083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: May 26, 2022, 05:12:24 PM
Since prices are down, I am going to spend some money for shopping. Not a lot, just what I can spend.
Now the question is, should I buy BTC (currently I don't have any BTC) or should I do DCA for ETH, SOL or DOT?
Now the reason I am asking this question is I have some of ETH, SOL and DOT, and I still consider that my ETH and DOT average prices are little bit higher, so DCAing would be nice option. But then, given that the I am little concerned what might happen to SOL and DOT in this phase of the market. Anyway, thanks.
Buy bitcoin and eth or if you are in doubt about choosing an altcoin, you can buy bitcoins and keep them. If you already have ETH, SOL and DOT I guess that should be enough to be your investment but you better add more bitcoins in your wallet so you can see bitcoin price increase. If you are worried about SOL and DOT, you can simply sell it and take your profit and leave the coin if the price rises higher than your buy price.
5084  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 26, 2022, 04:17:35 PM
~snip~
To many forecast about the possible price would be reached but actually this is just a guess so chances that this might not happen because many people are starting to move on bear market issues and we see something good happen even if we see the market falls for couple of weeks already. But for sure as old days happened on bitcoin we can still see a price full recovery since this is what whales earning for and for sure they will help to hype up until bitcoin recover back again. If bitcoin would really reach at $8000 then most provably many investors including me will buy bitcoin at that time.
I'm sure a price recovery will come for bitcoin and at that point, the bitcoin price will start to increase and eventually, it will create another new ATH in the future. So we just need to be patient and wait and don't panic if we see the price of bitcoin going down because we are given more opportunities to buy bitcoin again at a low price. But unfortunately, not many people understand and choose to sell their bitcoins at a loss. We will buy bitcoins again if the price drops to $8000 because that is a good time to buy bitcoins.
5085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 26, 2022, 12:08:53 PM
Why does his family don't seek a professional to take care him? gambling addictions isn't a joke and only can be solved by prohibition.
Maybe his family didn't know that he often gambled, so his family didn't look for a professional. We also will not know what happened and how his relationship with his family.

You wouldn't know what they're doing with your money and it's dumb if they tell you if your money used for gambling, the best way is don't lend your money to anyone including your friends. If they're forcing you and you don't have any choice, then lend him only few portion e.g. 20-50%, don't give full amount.
Even though he keeps forcing us to lend him our money, I think we can still refuse him because we don't want him to get deeper into gambling. This is for his own good and to keep him from getting more addicted. If he tries to borrow money from someone else, it's none of our business.

I would not be willing to lend if he used the loan for his purposes not for gambling and alcohol. But if someone lies to me because of a loan to use both of them then I will never care about that person other than collecting the loan, nothing more than that.
Yes, that's because we don't want to be blamed by his family for lending him money. Besides, we also don't know if he's lying or not because once he accepts the money and leaves, he can use it for whatever he wants. And if he doesn't have good self-control, he can go back to gambling to gamble again and try to win some money from gambling.
5086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: May 25, 2022, 03:24:42 PM
I still believe in investing in crypto even though so many bad things have happened to many coins. That is why investing in altcoins is very risky because altcoins always follow the bitcoin price movement. If the bitcoin price drops sharply, the altcoins will also follow and make some altcoins decline sharply. If you invest, maybe you can invest in bitcoin because, at the very least, the price can go higher and have a chance to hit new ATH in the future.
5087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: An advice for Crypto Investing on: May 25, 2022, 02:39:44 PM
1. In any investment, you should not use the money for daily life to join because that can make your life in trouble.
2. If you know what you want to do with your investment, you can borrow the money from your bank, especially to grow your investment, but be careful. Not many people can pay back the money. So we need to make sure that we can pay the money back. But you shouldn't borrow money from your bank.
3. Before you invest in crypto, you should learn what coin can give you a return, and so far, bitcoin is the best investment than the altcoin.

But if you want to invest in any new coins or tokens, you need to be careful because not many coins or tokens can increase in the future.
5088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 25, 2022, 01:30:10 PM
I don't lend money to friends or relatives.  If this is a person close to me, I can give him money as a gift.

There is a proverb - "If you want to lose a friend, lend him money."

It's very frustrating when the person you lent money to hides from you, lies to you, or starts talking nasty things about you.  Drug addicts and alcoholics often borrow money from acquaintances.  This is also true for gamblers (addicted to gambling).

Addiction is terrible precisely because the moral norms of the patient are very weakened.  He can commit any antisocial offense (and even a crime).
I am that many people will not give loans to gambling addicts and alcoholics, because there is no guarantee that they will repay the debt once they have the money, but of course they will return to gambling again and will ask for another loan if they meet you, so don't give any loan except you accept lost money from gamblers.
Right, I agree with you. It is better not to lend money to those who want to gamble and drink alcohol. They don't want to lose their own money but borrow money from other people. For this, I have experience, but the person who borrowed the money didn't tell the truth about what he wanted to do with the money, so I didn't borrow mine. It would be better if they used the money to buy food for him and his family than for gambling or alcohol.
5089  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 25, 2022, 11:23:28 AM
Anything can happen, a red market for almost 7 months of course makes investors impatient and may choose to sell, if the price drops below $8000 then I'm sure it will be difficult to rise, there will be many altcoins and projects that are difficult to survive and make us have to always alert.
Let those investors impatiently wait because I think the market will stay like this for a while, and it may last until the end of the year. But hopefully, the forecast is wrong, and after the middle of the year, the market starts to reverse upwards so that we can get back to profit again. If the price drops below $8000, I will buy more bitcoins because it's a huge discount for us, and I don't want to miss the moment.
5090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 25, 2022, 10:30:17 AM
Maybe physical effects like the OP mentioned can occur depending on the tool you use to gamble (about online gambling). Between desktop and mobile will have a significant difference in effect, especially if you are used to gambling for hours. The use of mobile phones that are more portable everywhere will make gamblers more comfortable and more relaxed watching the casino screen.
Hmm, if he uses his cellphone more often to play gambling, there will be soreness in his eyes, especially if he continues to play for more than 30 minutes to 1 hour. Maybe this will also be felt when he uses the desktop but this will trigger other pain such as pain in the back of the back, neck, or hands. And in the end, the eyes will also feel tired. Maybe he needed to rest for a while after using his tools to lessen the effects that would arise.
5091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding my horses for now on: May 24, 2022, 01:30:00 PM
Is buying bitcoin right now the same with buying later? I stopped buying because it looks like Bitcoin dips isn't over, imagine buying at 19k per Bitcoin, I think the whole idea of investment is when you are buying not running after the best coins in the market, buying them cheap is better or I don't get it?.
It will be different because if you are now buying bitcoins at $29k and a few days later, they are $28k or even $30k, you will see how many bitcoins you bought. From there, you should know when you can buy bitcoins.

We don't know if this bitcoin decline will occur because there is no sign of bitcoin's movement, but we can analyze where the trend is from the bitcoin price movement. We can decide whether to buy or wait a little longer because the trend will fall again. But it's better if you buy bitcoins at every lowest price level because that will allow you to have more bitcoins.
5092  Economy / Gambling / Re: Themed Provably Fair Casinos on: May 24, 2022, 12:28:07 PM
Better if they are 100% fair because no one would like to play on an unfair casino but you are right, fair doesn't mean that we can now always win all the time or at most times but casino still has its own advantage over the players in order for them to continue their operations. Bitcointalk doesn't have its own casino but you can instead say that this forum has a gambling section where you can find different kinds of casinos. Most of casinos here are legit but some are shady.
Shady casino do have to be wary of because we will continue to prioritize casinos that have a high reputation with what we see. So don't worry, in this forum there are casinos that have high trust. I believe people will drop their bets at the right casino. As long as you first ask how the casino is from a member's point of view.
You two are right. Casinos in this forum, especially those that have a good reputation, are worthy of being a preference for gambling because they will not cheat their users. Apart from that, they will provide a really good service and try not to disappoint their users. So as long as people can play gambling on sites that members have recommended, they can be calm and safe in playing gambling.
5093  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: stay away from bitsler on: May 24, 2022, 11:36:07 AM
I don't know what's really going on, but if I get something that's not to my liking, I'll leave that casino and look for another one. Maybe the casino has a new policy regarding their rules, but they don't tell their members, so they have an unpleasant experience. We should be able to tell if there are changes to the casino, and we can complain to customer service and ask them to explain what is going on at their casino. But if there is still no plausible explanation, it is time for us to leave that casino and move to another casino because it has failed us.
5094  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: highly cryptocurrency investment platform wallaz.online on: May 24, 2022, 10:32:13 AM
I don't want to risk my money with a site I don't know, especially if the money to invest is too big. The minimum amount to invest in that website is too big for me, and I am too afraid to lose that. Even if some people are willing to risk their money by investing on that site, I still do not recommend them to do that. It is better to use $1000 to buy bitcoin and hold it for some time. That will guarantee you to make a big profit in the future. But all in all, you have your own decision.
5095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holy Crap ! Terra is gone to zero ?!?! on: May 24, 2022, 09:31:37 AM
...If the developer successfully does this, maybe it can help Luna get a good position. But I still have doubts about it.

Even if Do Kwan succeeds in realizing all his plans, he will not regain the trust of investors in full to the Terra blockchain. After receiving their compensation, investors will sell UST and buy a more reliable stablecoin, for example, such as USDC and BUSD.
I don't know and am not sure about that because as you said, the investors lost their trust in Luna after the big crash, making them lose big money. But your scenario makes sense because the investors want to recover their loss from Luna by selling the compensation, but I am not sure if that can cover the loss. It is still a mystery for Luna and a big question to us if Luna can regain investors' trust with the upgrade of the project. So let's wait and see what will happen to Luna.
5096  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: May 23, 2022, 09:42:08 AM
If the same trend we've got as last year, we will see a pump after this correction which we all usually know comes after these drops.
It's true that these side ways will cause one to doubt whether it's a good time to buy or sell but make sure that before you take any action, you know what you're doing and the decision you'll make. I like it more when bitcoin is like this, the slow-mo it got for its price.

In my opinion, currently selling is not the right thing because it will only make us lose.
Try to be a little patient and try to buy back bitcoin at the lowest price like now then the profit will be ours later.
But it all comes back to each of us because not everyone is able to survive.
Maybe not selling but buying at a low price and holding it for a while until the price can rise again. By patiently waiting, we can see the price slowly recovering and eventually, the price will rise again after this decline. And today, the price could return to $30k, and the trend is still up. Hopefully, this can lift the price to a higher level and no deep decline.
5097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holy Crap ! Terra is gone to zero ?!?! on: May 23, 2022, 08:41:18 AM
Down 100 % on CoinMarket Cap !! What !?!
That's what happens in the crypto market. No one ever thought that Luna could experience such an incident and cause many people or investors to suffer losses. This is a valuable lesson for all of us always to be careful choosing coins for investment because there is no guarantee that the coins will last for a long time. But who knows, Luna still has a chance to rise again after what the developer did to provide some important updates to the project. If the developer successfully does this, maybe it can help Luna get a good position. But I still have doubts about it.
5098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins made you 100x returns in last 6 years ? on: May 23, 2022, 07:42:53 AM
Did you make 100x your money ? What coins did you invest in that made you huge amounts of returns in the last 4-6 years. Would be curious to see what you guys took a chance and made a lot of money

Why did you choose that coin ?
The coin that gives me the most profit is bitcoin. From altcoins, I benefit from ethereum, bnb, doge, ripple, and some small priced coins that can pump up to higher prices. Maybe it's not 100 times, but it's a big advantage for me. For the past year, bitcoin still provides the most profit compared to altcoins, and this is why I want to keep collecting more bitcoins. I am still waiting for the next altcoin season, while I am also waiting for the bull run for bitcoin.
5099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind on: May 23, 2022, 06:42:09 AM
I've never had trouble sleeping at the thought of gambling because I know gambling is entertainment, and I don't treat it as something of value. If I lose, I will go and stop gambling and rest for a while. I also do it if I win because it is important to reduce the fun or tension after gambling.

You must learn not to think about gambling, regardless of the outcome, to rest comfortably and sleep well. Otherwise, you can experience insomnia, interfering with your health.
5100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: May 23, 2022, 05:30:23 AM
Many reputable sportsbook to follow and they should learn from them because they are open with their methods done here. Their thread is easy to check so best to look up their thread then follow what certain promotions and marketing done as well as how they handle the issues towards since if this will be applied by new sportsbook maker then most provably they can little by little trust from gamblers who can try their services offered.

In KYC matters maybe the new sportsbook maker should consider first the sentiment of their gamblers since if their costumers will not like what they implement for sure it will give negative effect to their business.
I agree with you. By learning from here, they will be able to gain valuable experience that can be useful for them when they choose the sportsbook here. But with the experience he has, I think he can get or know the sportsbooks on this forum so he doesn't have to worry about scamming problems or anything else.

For KYC, hopefully, the sportsbook can understand that crypto gamblers don't want KYC implementation, let alone strict KYC. If the sportsbook can accept this and not apply KYC, I think many gamblers will use the site to bet.
