Are you serious? MPEx and Polimedia.us are listed under caution?

You need to separate drama from scam sites.

You'd only really get a benefit if you had an Avalon ASIC.

Good thing you haven't specified your requirements!

How did you lose all your BTC? Huh
5085  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone have any good gamling code/sites for sale? on: April 18, 2013, 11:36:06 PM
Im just tired of programmers thinking their worth so much... If they are why are there so many.\
The same reason I wouldnt pay a mechanic their $90/hr. is the same reason i wouldnt pay a coder that. They just simply are not that valuable. There are way to many, and there is someone out there willing to work to earn.

Im starting to think we dont have nearly as many skilled coders as I thought.
Whatever Its cool I am forced to learn.

Looks like some good returns are possible with it
Not really (I don't expect BFL to ship anytime soon), but I'm pretty confident they are legit - otherwise I won't be advertising it.
5087  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone have any good gamling code/sites for sale? on: April 18, 2013, 12:40:05 PM
Provably fairness and double spend detection do not come out of nowhere.

And why not find someone to do it then? Or can't you find someone who's willing to do that for 1-5 btc? Roll Eyes

You're not really going to find someone who knows about how to work with bitcoin properly on fiverr or odesk. I've worked with those types of developers before.

Another round of DDoS / server crapping. Ouch.

Seems back up.
5089  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ANN][Official] Bitcoin Play! Satoshi Dice, Free Bitcoins, and more coming! on: April 18, 2013, 12:29:37 PM
I also want some moderators from BitcoinTalk community to see after Free Bitcoins (when live) and Chat (when live). I will also need a Advertising manager. I will pay each of the persons on daily bases. I want reputed people from the forum that are online for at least 6 hours a day. (I will appoint 4 moderators for 6 hours each, they are allowed to moderate for more time than that in case they are online/want to. I will appoint them a little later.
Send me a PM with more details please.

(Maybe also hire me to make your dice game better)
5090  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Etiquette and couple of other random questions.. on: April 18, 2013, 12:26:05 PM
Can someone point me at a sticky on forum etiquette?  Being fairly new here, and trying to advertise a site, I want to understand what are tolerated practices such as frequency of bumps, cross posting etc...

Also, are there other places that I should be spamming to drum up interest on services I'm trying to provide?

Any pointers, feedback or suggestions welcomed.

Thanks
Richie
The rule on bumping is 1 per day, across all your posts. Other than that, it's just common sense really.
5091  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Reminder: zero-conf is not safe; $500USD reward posted for replace-by-fee patch on: April 18, 2013, 12:21:31 PM
Isn't this already done?

Quote
change the relay rules so that transactions are replaced based on fees regardless of how that changes transaction outputs.

John Dillon seems to want to make it so that clients won't check outputs are the same before replacing the transaction.

Validators could have something like reputation, which grows with time if they submit valid blocks.  Proof that they have submitted bad blocks would set their reputation back to zero.

And how are you going to do this with a decentralized system?

5095  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitinstant investigation - community effort. on: April 18, 2013, 11:56:59 AM
Thank you for providing the quote ID with the problem.  We are dealing with a lot of volume and working on improving our customer support.  I apologize for any confusion.  Did you log the correct/BAD issue at bitinstant.com/contact ?

URSAY, this is going around in circles, why don't you just look up the reference numbers and check what happened and sort it out ?

because they've been stalling for over a week.  they probably can't fix the problem, but won't admit it.

i've been waiting 11 days now for a simple mtgox to bitstamp transfer paid with a mtgox coupon code.  they could have just refunded my mtgox coupon code, but didn't.  i've contacted support via the web form, email, telephone(left a message), pm'd Charlie(Yankee), and posted in threads like this one(for example, a reply in this thread on april 12).  i have not even received an acknowledgement that my issue exists--not a single word from support.  i'm literally being ignored on these threads.

see my signature for order information.
new thread in scammer accusations. they might get a tag if they ignore you for a couple of months.
5096  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info JSON-RPC "Compatible" API problems on: April 18, 2013, 11:35:05 AM
I've been using the json-rpc API. I like it, I think it's going to solve a lot of problems. Thank you!
Said this while blockchain.info is down. Heh.

Hopefully it comes up soon. I don't want to have to be bothered with downloading the blockchain on qt :/
