5081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By now, is it worth to invest in major altcoins for the long term? on: January 21, 2020, 05:14:22 PM
Long term investment can only be done with those coins for which the development activity is ongoing without any major issue. Very few of the altcoins will qualify if we consider this criteria. Take the example of Ethereum. During the past few months, the development timelines have been postponed multiple times and the roll-out of ETH 2.0 has been delayed quite a bit.
5082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some exchanges charges are too high on: January 21, 2020, 05:08:57 PM
How many exchanges you know of that have too high withdrawal fee? I was shocked that Dcoin exchange wants 0.001 for any bitcoin withdrawal you want to make while other exchanges charges only 5000 Satoshi for bitcoin withdrawal, I was forces to exchange my bitcoin for litecoin before getting my coins out

Well.. there are a few exchanges out there which charge you very high withdrawal fee. Dcoin is not the only one and their fees is not the highest among the exchanges. I have used Yobit, and their withdrawal fee (BTC0.0012) is even more than that in Dcoin. The only option left for the users is to convert the BTC to either BCH and ETH and then convert them back to BTC after withdrawal.
5083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 21, 2020, 04:42:18 PM
that why i quit since august last year, too many shit project and also i have bad action because i still hold the shit token from reward rather than sell it after i get it.
about the future of bounty, still faintly visible.

August 2019? A bit late in my opinion. I quit almost a year before that. The second half of 2018 was the time when the failure rate for the ICOs increased by manifold. Along with that, the success rate for the bounty campaigns went down the drain. I had participated in 2-3 campaigns during that time, which never paid me any reward. Had enough with the bounties and decided to quit.
5084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: January 21, 2020, 04:30:24 PM
Just like most of us here, I would choose for now to invest in top coins and tokens just like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB then will do a buy and sell in short term when necessary but as much as possible will aim to hold it for long term, so I would choose a right crypto that is good for long term holdings.

In my opinion, the only cryptocurrency that is suitable for long-term holding is Bitcoin. I don't think that any of the altcoins are suitable for this purpose. I am saying this out of my three plus years of experience with the cryptocurrencies. None of the alts are doing well right now. The development and adoption has slowed down, even for the larger coins such as Ethereum and Litecoin.

Sri Lanka position is very good now after 3rd days stumps, they just require to get 250 more runs to get 200 runs lead. Playing 5th day is very hard in any test, so it won't be easy to Zim to save this test until someone will stay in crease long time.
Considering the way in which both team played, the pitch will be difficult to play on the 5th day and it depends upon how much can Sri Lanka put on the score board in quick time in the 4th day and put Zimbabwe under pressure to go for the win or draw the match and if Sri Lanka can do that tomorrow then we might see a result, if not it will end up in a draw.

I would like to remind you that Sri Lanka is still trailing by 63 runs and they have already lost 4 of their most important wickets. Dhananjaya de Silva and Angelo Mathews have batted brilliantly till now, but in case they lose one or two quick wickets, then the situation can really change. To have a chance of win, Sri Lanka needs a total of around 500. Any total below that, the match will end up as a draw.

I think if Australia could include Maxwell in this squad then the result would be different, From my perception, Maxwell plays well in India, Hat's off to the Rohit Sharma who was the main difference of the two team.
Glenn Maxwell is not in the Australian squad for a long time and he played an ODI against England on Jul 11, 2019 and how can a player not even considered in the team for a long time be included in the squad and expect to make a huge difference as Australia was playing good cricket in his absence for the past one year. Australia outclassed India in the first game but then India came back stronger in the next two games and won the series. It could have been an extended series with 5 ODI rather than 3 in my opinion as it was good competitive matches between the two.

Here I have to disagree with you. Glenn Maxwell has been in terrific form so far in this edition of the Big Bash League, for his franchise (Melbourne Stars). A few days back, he hit an 83 (from 45 balls) against the Melbourne Renegades, and the innings consisted of 7 sixes. He is the sort of player who can destroy the opposition singlehandedly. I would prefer him in the team over anyone else.
5087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Has More Trading Volume Than XRP (But Is It Real?) on: January 21, 2020, 03:37:19 PM
You are making the comparison with the wrong coin. XRP may be the no.3 crypto in terms of market cap, but a large part of that supply is not in free-float. It is one of the most centralized coins and a large majority of all the coins are being held by a handful of the promoters. So obviously the trade volumes will be lower for XRP and this has been the case ever since Ripple first came in to existence.

De-villers presence in the team and his battings skills used to change lot of things for SA and now once he is not their in the team they are definitely missing some one of his likes which is impacting them and can be clearly seen. Hope SA will bounce back and find the right combination in the team.
The retirement of Kallis, Amla, Smith and AB de Villiers is a big problem for the Test team and they are still struggling to find players that could replace them and the good news for them is that AB de Villiers is willing to come out of retirement to play in the T20 word cup and hopefully they will include him in the team to have some batting power as they are struggling with the team they have now in every format.

AB de Villiers is currently playing for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL). He retired from international cricket when he was 32 or 33, due to political issues. But will this do any good for South Africa, given that de Villiers have explicitly stated that he is not interested in either the ODI or test formats? This is going to be more like a temporary patch up, rather than a permanent solution.
5089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 21, 2020, 03:01:21 PM
His bowling action is very similar to that of Lasith Malinga. And we all know that Malinga used to bowl in excess of 90 mph during his peak. This may be a bug, but according to some media sources the 17-year old Matheesha Pathirana bowled the fastest recorded ball ever bowled in international cricket - across all levels.
Another slinging bowling action from Sri Lanka and he is bowling yorkers at will and it is difficult to see the ball coming from an unusual position but the speed gun might not the correctly calibrated and so is the reason it was showing over 108 MPH. The ball was carrying and it took some time to reach the keeper, watch Shoaib Akhtar and Bret Lee bouncers and see the difference when they bowl at 155 KMH and how fast it reaches the keeper. Either way he is the future talent for Sri Lanka and hopefully he will take care of his fitness and play for the national team soon.

The biggest challenge would be to stay out of injury. Because Malinga had a lot of issues with injury due to his bowling action and he had to cut down on his pace and run up. I hope that Pathirana stays free from injury, even if it requires that he needs to change his bowling action. BTW, it looks as if the speed gun got the reading wrong. I checked a few media sources, and all of them are saying the same.
5090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are you staking? on: January 21, 2020, 02:42:20 PM
Two years back, I used to stake Deep Onion. It was very profitable as well. They had a reward ratio of 10% for the first year and 1% for the second year. So I was in good profit during the first year (until mid-2018). After that the profits declined and I no longer had the patience to stake the coins. And this was the only cryptocurrency staking I ever did during the last 3 years.

Japan got all out at 41 runs and Indian opener achieved the winning target with in 5 overs.

Anyway Japan has a long way to go in cricket but they are playing their cards okay atm (considering Chinese not trying much)and hope they continue this for longer time at least for next decade or so.

Very poor performance from Japan. I was hoping that they would make at least 100. Anyway, I would be closely watching them for the remainder of the tournament. After the group stage, they will be playing a few matches in the plate league as well. BTW, I think that this is the first ever cricket match between India and Japan, at any level.
5092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 21, 2020, 02:18:02 PM
I am sure that Zimbabwe is looking for a draw at the moment, nothing more. They took their sweet time while batting and managed to putup 350+ runs on board. And while bowling, they avoided bowling few overs by not opting spin. Currently SL are batting well at 113/2. The only chance for SL to get a result is to post a big lead something around 250+ for ZIM and try to wrap them up within a days play which will be a tough task considering how they batted in the first innings.
Either Zimbabwe has to pick up wickets and Sri Lanka is also batting really slow as they do not feel the need to increase the run rate either and as long as Angelo Mathews is in the crease they will build a huge total and they still behind 153 runs and they can reach those runs and this is the third day and unless there is a collapse in the second innings it is going to be a draw.

Too early to give a judgement on this match. We still have two days remaining and the track will start supporting the spinners very soon. Zimbabwean batsmen are not especially known for their patience during batting and if there is a collapse tomorrow, then I think that Sri Lanka has a very good chance of winning the match. That said... this has to be one of the most boring test matches ever played during the last 10-15 years.
5093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Numbers Continue Exploding in Spite of ICO History on: January 20, 2020, 05:14:31 PM
We need a maximum of 2-3 different coins for different domains. There may be 10-12 different domains in cryptocurrency and therefore the ideal number of cryptocurrencies should be a few dozen. On the other hand, we have thousands of different coins. And this is one of the reasons why the altcoins are going down lately. There is a lot of fragmentation in the market.
5094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 20, 2020, 05:06:38 PM
My prediction was gone wrong, I expected Australia would win this series but they were able to win only the first game instead of a good performance, I think their bowling side was up to the mark but Batting line up didn't work according to their ability, It's true that team India is the strongest team when they are at home but Australia also always plays well in India, I think if Australia could include Maxwell in this squad then the result would be different, From my perception, Maxwell plays well in India, Hat's off to the Rohit Sharma who was the main difference of the two team.

Maxwell has played IPL in India for many seasons and he is used to the Indian conditions. On the other hand, Australia went with batsmen such as Alex Carey and Ashton Turner, who failed miserably. The Australian top order batsmen performed well, but the middle and lower order failed against the Indian bowlers. Also I expected Starc/Cummins to perform better.
5095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 20, 2020, 04:59:00 PM
Not a big fan of Ethereum here. But at the same time, I have to say that BSV is looking very risky right now. It is like a lottery. In case Craig Wright fails to prove that he has the private keys to access Satoshi's coins, then BSV may become virtually worthless. BCH also may come under a lot of pressure under such a scenario. I would stick with ETH right now.
5096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 20, 2020, 04:47:42 PM
SA has lost quick 6 wickets for a score of 102 runs and still trail by 188 runs. So most likely match would be over soon and England will win it by innings and some runs. SA will have to look back what went wrong with their batting line up as they are not able to score runs.
Only the weather can help South Africa from this situation and that too if the day gets washed out, if not there is no way they are going to survive an hour in the crease, the biggest problem they have is their inform batsman and until they find some young players to fill in the ranks there is nothing they can do to sort the situation. If there is no rain interruption then it is an innings victory for England.

Know what? There is a limit up to which the weather can help. A huge amount of time was lost to rain interruption. And still the Brits won the match comfortably. I missed the last day of action, as I was in office. When I reached home, it was all over and I was surprised to see that Keshav Maharaj was the top-scorer for the South Africans with his 71. Well.. that sums up everything I guess.

Amazing Bowling ICC Under 19 World Cup 2020 Sri-Lankan U19 Pacer Matheesha Pathirana stunning 175 KPH Speed Bowling in U19 CWC match against India on a wide Ball.
Good Luck upcoming Future Speed star Matheesha Parthirana

He's a medium pacer so it might be a bug on speedometer or call it Matrix glitch. please don't forget highest record is around 160 ish kph, by Shoaib Akhtar. clocking 108 mph is no joke, if any case he actually did that then more power to young boy.

Here is the video in case anyone missed the action:

Stokes and Popes partnership is the turning point for England to make that 499 runs and also England bowlers have started well and picked up 2 wickets quickly for a score of 60. SA trail now by 439 runs. If England can take a lead of 150+ in first innings they will fancy their chance to win it.

They already lost two important wickets for just 60 runs. I don't expect them to make a total exceeding 200-220. England will ask them to follow on, and the chances are that the match will be over by tomorrow. England needs to win this series, after the mixed results they had in New Zealand. They are the world champions (in ODI) and therefore the fans expect them to win.
5099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: January 18, 2020, 07:55:16 AM
What you think more profit, participate in IEO or wait after IEO and buy the token from exchanges?

It depends on the project and you are making a mistake by generalizing all the IEOs. For some IEOs, it will be better to make the investment after the tokens are listed in the exchange, while for some others the reverse may be true. For high-risk IEOs, it is advisable to make the investment after the listing is done. It depends on the user as well. If the investor is looking for higher yields and is ready to take higher risk, then he can invest during the IEO phase.

Sheer coincidence that previously in between too Rahul Dravid had done wicketkeeping and was a batsman and now we have Rahul again who is keeping and a batsman too. But yes India now has some talent with them and if not performed they would be replaced soon by some others. So one has to keep performing and be in the team squad.

Rahul Dravid kept wickets for a few matches, but it was more like a misadventure. His keeping was not up to the mark, as he missed a few easy stumpings and catches. On top of that, his batting performance also went down, probably due to the additional work load. I can see the same repeating in the case of KL Rahul, and that is why I don't want him as the permanent wicket keeper in the Indian side.
