5101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitbook Sportsbook And Casino FAKE TEAM on: February 16, 2019, 01:40:59 AM
However due to mistake of the company register agent, they provided us with the wrong photo, and that photo belonged to Diego Marquez Arango. Since Andres Martinez resides in Costa Rica and has not met other members of the team and has facial similarity with Diego Marquez Arango this mistake went unnoticed.

Same old excuse time after time when scammers here are busted for having fake profiles. I think you guys need to work on a new excuse because that line is getting pretty boring these days.

1. You hired a man who is supposed to be your CEO and you even don't know how he looks like?

2. How does the man in the ID even have any facial similarity with Diego Marquez Arango?
All you did was copy and image from a different website (which is funny because it had the name Diego Marquez Arango) and then you put it into your website and started calling him Andres Martinez (Photo is 100% a match, not even a slight distortion)

3. Diego Felipe Márquez Arango is an associate attorney from Colombia, how does his picture end up into the company registry books in Costa Rica, which is 1,191 km way?
I tell you how... It's through a scam online casino and ICO.
5102  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitbook Sportsbook And Casino FAKE TEAM on: February 14, 2019, 06:20:46 PM
Good job OP finding this project with a fake CEO.
We posted on their ANN and we expect them to answer to this accusation. Any serious company would defend themselves and provide valid evidence.
In this case, a FAKE CEO image - stealing someone's identity - is not good for them.

Thanks too for getting further details about the real person behind the profile. Am also waiting for them to come out and defend themselves instead of using newbie accounts  to bump their ANN thread as I have seen a few moments back.

Do not participate in the ICO. The Presence of a fake team member is a sign that it's scam. The online gambling site should be avoided too.

Vod pretty much nailed it... a new self moderated thread is the way to go.
5106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous Links on This Forum? on: February 14, 2019, 03:38:00 AM
I don't think it's likely for you to get compromised just by clicking on a link or opening a site, but I use Adblockers/malware blocker and pop-up blockers since that is where viruses come from most of the time. Other times, you will be asked to install an extension or application before the virus gets into the system so be wary of those. You can sometimes tell when a site doesn't look legit by judging from it's domain name.

Well adblockers/malware blockers will most likely not see Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Clickjacking coming when you visit a compromised website.
NoScript perfectly stops them even before they do anything.

Cryptojackers? Isn't this part of getting your browser compromised too? What can your  adblockers really do to stop cryptojackers  Grin
5107  Other / Meta / Re: Paying twice to enable posting? on: February 14, 2019, 02:47:44 AM
To save yourself from the hustle, if you can, just let go that account. Create another one(Of course refresh your IP address)
And also one thing to keep in mind is that chances of getting this proxy ban are very high when registering using very private browsers like Tor according to my experience so if you can avoid them at least when registering.
5108  Other / Meta / Re: "Recovering hacked/lost accounts" full process, nothing happened on: February 14, 2019, 02:28:07 AM
Can you please share with us the account profile you are trying to recover?
And how long ago did you visit the link?

After you IP getting recorded, there is usually another email that gets sent to you informing you that your account has been queued for manual recovery through the old email address.

Edit:
The IP probably gets recorded so that they can use it to compare your IP address logs prior to and after the account was hacked so that they can try to see a pattern and determine if you are truly the owner of the account. If they find inconsistencies, then your recovery process gets canceled(you might need more evidence like a signed message using your staked BTC address). That's why we need to know the profile, so that we can check top see if it was canceled or queued.

Another alternative would be email the team to find out about the progress if you have waited for so long.
5109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning !!! Read before you buy bitcointalk account. on: February 14, 2019, 02:17:38 AM
Maybe such information could be added in stickies in the trading and auctioning sections of the forum to warn users who might be planning to buy accounts.
Someone who is planning to buy an account might now even read this information from the B&H board.
5110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't let those spelling mistakes & poor grammar turn your post into a shitpost. on: February 14, 2019, 02:05:31 AM
Grammarly is useful in correcting your use of grammar, and helps perfect that which you already have an idea of. To really expand your English vocabulary you would need to take learning classes, or regularly converse in English language.

On the contrary, Grammarly can also help you expand your English Vocabulary and even get a clear definition of any difficult words that you may come across the forum without you having to go through online English dictionaries. All you have to do is double-click on the word you don't understand and a definition, brief description and explanation will be displayed with links to external sites if you want to learn more about it.

Here is an example, I clicked on the word Nonsensical and this is what I got... I have most certainly added the word preposterous in my vocabulary.

What matters most is your mindset towards learning something and practice. I could still go for learning classes and come out with bad English.
5111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous Links on This Forum? on: February 14, 2019, 01:27:44 AM
No. Install NoScript extension (which block JavaScript by default) and make whitelist is better solution.
I agree with @ETFBitcoin, one of the best add-ons is NoScript Extension. I use it on my Firefox and I feel a little safe even when I click on unfamiliar links.
It blocks so many unfamiliar scripts by default and it's only you who can unblock them.

Otherwise, if you are very security conscious... it's quite easy to notice malicious links even before you click on them.
5112  Economy / Gambling / Re: betodds.ag\blocked my account on: February 14, 2019, 01:03:18 AM
That's obvious scam. Am truly sorry for your loss.
Always try to avoid less popular and new gambling services that have no genuine reviews... You can easily end up getting scammed.
5113  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptium - A truly decentralised, community-powered betting platform on: February 14, 2019, 12:46:20 AM
I commend you for working so hard towards putting up this platform however I have a couple of questions.
1. Do you have any plans of extending to game friendly blockchains like EOS and TRON?
2. We very well know Ethereum network can get clogged at times and fees can also spike in no time(as witnessed in 2017 when cryptokitties brought a lot of problems) what solutions do you have i case such a scenario comes up again?
5114  Economy / Gambling / Re: Jackmate is back on FortuneJack! on: February 14, 2019, 12:35:10 AM
Where can I find about the details of the promo? Information about how points are distributed and about how the prizepool is distributed? Curious to know how many winners will win the shares of the 3BTC. Or there will be 1 winner only? As I remember your similar promo that you had previously was one winner only. Correct me if I'm wrong

All the information is provided on the page and you are right, there will be only one overall winner of 3 BTC

Everyone registered on FortuneJack will have an opportunity to make predictions on Champions League Play-Offs starting from 1/8 Finals. For every successfully predicted score you will get 10 points in 1/8 Finals, 20 in 1/4 finals, 30 in semi-finals and 50 in final.

  • Player who gets most points by the moment of finishing tournament will get 3 Bitcoins.
  • Player with most points in 1/8 finals will receive football shirt from favorite team.
  • The best predictor of ¼ finals will receive 2019 Madrid Final Official Match Ball
  • Player with most points in semi-finals will get Play Station 4.

5115  Economy / Gambling / Re: 777coin and non-existent support on: February 14, 2019, 12:10:08 AM
Try to contact with this forum member and explain your situation.
I know this feeling very well.
Apparently he did contact him but there has been no response since then.

also in site there are options for changing email or password.
It doesn't really help in his current situation as he cannot access the account at the moment.
5116  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Developerx11 is Scammer on: February 12, 2019, 01:46:05 PM
I will also update my thread for anyone in the future to check if he is speaking with me.

Why not update it now?
You are even very lucky that you have not yet got a Red tag from DT members for your carelessness. The accuser is so lenient to you so the best thing you would do is pay up his money ASAP.

When I look at your feedback, it looks like it has happened before with other members, only that they didn't use proper ways to report scam.
5117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Legendary Member Earning Too Much ? on: February 12, 2019, 12:32:31 PM
It depends on how much you look at it, there are so many activities in this forum apart from doing signature bounties
We have;
1. Escrow services
2. Loan services
3. Bounty management
4. Signature and graphics designing

Any member can do the 4 services I have listed below so long as you build a good reputation in the forum, and they are really high earning too. Most people tend to trust legendaries because they have been in the forum for a long time but hey, you can also start your journey.  Somebody has got to start from somewhere.
5118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BitTorrent - PLease be really ****CAREFULL**** when throwing money here on: February 12, 2019, 12:07:27 PM

So marketcap now is :

$900 M./$7M. = 128X --> 12800 % increase

You don't calculate an increase like that... Marketcap entails the circulating supply and the price.
This is not the best way to interpret a percentage increase in price.
Probably using the ICO price and then the current price to get the percentage increase is a much better approach.
5119  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Google Play Store Caught Hosting Fake Metamask Crypto Malware on: February 12, 2019, 12:31:13 AM
When i want to install any app with anything about in google play, i always find it in their real website. Because  upload app in google play is cheap like appgeyser. Only 25$ to upload in google play
Yeah, it's better to find the official app links from the official websites. Google play is a pool of scam crypto apps and malware.
5120  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Installation of Wasabi Wallet on Linux, Help need. on: February 09, 2019, 02:02:53 AM
Can someone walk me through a step by step guide on how to install wasabi wallet on Ubuntu using the terminal?
Am still quite new to Ubuntu and earlier on, I did try to read the instructions on their website but the language used in the guide seemed too much for me to understand.
They should probably improve the guidelines for installation for a regular user.

Any form of help will be appreciated
