They are still connected to an exchange ( or multiple) to trade your coins, the only difference is: They are the one who's in charge of the whole process. Read this ( quote from changelly): Changelly’s trading algorithm is integrated into the largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms, including Binance, Poloniex, Bittrex etc. In the span of milliseconds, Changelly makes bids and asks on the platforms, then selects and suggests the best available rate and displays the estimated rate on our site. The rates remain approximate until the transaction is actually made on the blockchain. The exchange rate at the time of a transaction may differ slightly from the estimated rate that you see when you begin a transaction. This should be moved to Service Discussion.

Why I'm posting this, It is because of those users who are using SMS Authentication. This system sometimes doesn't work and you guys may face some difficulty to gain access to your account. So it is better to use Google Authentication Verification to avoid any kind of hassle.
Agreed to this and... If users ever prefer SMS Authentication over Google's, not receiving the code is the least of their problem. Heard about Sim-Swap? [lol] A video? Maybe they are just trying to confirm your KYC data from your previous verification, or haven't you verified your account before? The local exchange where I trade also requests the same KYC requirement ( Myself holding an ID and some details) but only as an image. Don't you think that if this isn't a " hassle", anyone can recover your account with a little effort?

These newly created accounts seem related and might be part of the same group: Same naming scheme: Two words, no space and upper-case first letters. The first two already started posting and mostly reply to the same thread with random but on-topic " researched data".

304 characters / 24 Words = 12-letter word average... not to mention most words need more vowels. What will you do if a customer ran out of letters to complete his SEED? - Will you send him the missing letters for free?
- Can the customer request for the number of vowels and consonants as he order?

Ok. Thanks i installed ETN app but mines only 2 ETN after 24 hours, but this is the advantage that now is cloud mining and phone not turns hot. Do you know any other coins like ETN?
Correction: it's not " Cloud Mining", it doesn't mine at all. It's more of an " Air Drop" to dedicated users and 2ETN/day is a normal rate ( I think it's based from your phone's build prop properties: Model name, not the specs) AFAIK, nothing else have the budget to maintain that gimmick, only ETN.

Kristofvdp, be a bit more specific, when you say "I bought two btw" does that mean you bought two bitcoin, -snip-
It looks like Kristofvdp is talking about Bitcoin World [ BTW] and sent it to Mycelium Bitcoin wallet. It is quite obvious that it isn't a typo since he typed " two btw" twice. @ Kristofvdp I don't know how Bitcoin World's address and private keys work but Mycelium doesn't support forks. Try to export the private key from Mycelium and import it to a native BTW wallet, if BTC and BTW's private keys work the same way, you should be able to recover your funds. Also, start a new thread when asking questions.

-snip- There are 5 pages mentioning that thingy: -snip-
Actually, mods aren't capable of searching through the whole forum to find all off-topic or NSFW posts, they must be resorting to user reports most of the time; that's why I underlined: Someone must have used the "report to moderator" button

I have only low end cpu on my PC. Do you guys think is worth trying to mine with? And is there any chance to try mining with android phone, without turn phone hot?
Like I said, it's not worth the effort, electricity and time. You could shorten its lifetime even more by mining. Give your low-end PC a favor and use it for something else or sell it if you really need the money. And your Android phone, news about mining using your phone was a thing last 2017 because of the famous Electroneum miner that was advertised on their ICO, but it isn't actually mining ( just like a gimmick to follow their promised roadmap). You can try it though, it pays you ETN for keeping your data and the app open in the background ( seach google for the coin name and their official site). Note: this wont " turn your phone hot" since it doesn't actually mine, data connection will increase the temp though. Also around 2017, coinhive was famous for it's API that can mine using the browser and website owners can integrate it to their site so that users who visit will " pay with hashes". Technically, it's equal to pool mining and most faucets use it as a " micro-mining" feature, that way users can mine using their mobile phones to earn a few Satoshis ( Decimals of Bitcoins) equivalent to their hashes. The only faucet/micro-wallet site I know that still implements this is Coinpot.co but it doesn't pay with BTC just their token but you can convert it in the same website. T/N: Any of these options won't produce any reasonable profit and just a waste of time.

This "fixbandage" is much much better than the "Good Messages" from legitimate servers which scared the heck out of the newbies.
But if it is DOS, it is still possible for the "uninformed" to connect to those bad servers depending on their network connection and the number of the "good" attackers. Or is it (are there) something else than Denial of Service?
|
|
|
I doubt users know which server they're connected to (since auto-connect is default option), so i doubt we'll see any feedback. -snip-
It can be viewed by clicking the " Network Icon" ( the Red/Green circle) Or by clicking " Tools" then " Network".
@ G3nijalac In my own experience... I only use one server: Server: electrum.coinucopia.io port: 50002 After the " bad server incidents", I have decided to manually select a server and now, I've been using it for months and I rarely (actually never) experienced any downtime or instability. Can't vouch for the privacy though.

Minergate isn't the best choice if you're just planning to use a single CPU miner, it will take a few months to reach the minimum withdrawal unless you got a lot of referrals ( yes, it's kind of a MLM but the victimsrecruits pay with hashes). Also, it isn't totally a pool and a mining software, it's an all-in-one service and it takes a lot from your profit in exchange for ease-of-use. Do this instead: Depending on your CPU, you should use a supported mining software like: XMR-Stak ( or a no dev-fee version, Windows only) and point it to your selected pool that mines Monero ( you're stuck with XMR based from your preference). There's a video tutorial in the Read-Me on the link or read this but disregard the coin and pool selection ( choose your pick). By the way, do not expect any profit from CPU mining ( electricity cost≥payout).

Probably off-topic but the main reason is: Someone must have used the "report to moderator" button to your post and because of being off-topic ( despite of the number of other off-topic replies), it got deleted.

I just want you to know that the statement above happens in a blink of an eye so it's pretty pointless to search your own node's mempool for the particular transaction since almost all nodes already included it to their's within a minute. If you want to check if it was included to your mempool, use this command ( and find that specific tx id): But it's the same as searching from online blockexplorers.

Reinstalling Electrum wont overwrite any existing wallet(s) nor "demand" an update. There's an update notification but it doesn't sound mandatory for version higher than v3.3.3, the only mandatory update messages are from "good servers" to users with vulnerable Electrum versions.
You might have just selected a new directory for the newly created wallet file or downloaded a different version (Installer/Stand-alone or Portable) with different default directories, thus, changed the default wallet selection directory upon start. If this is the case, follow Bitmarxz's "First" step with a small correction: Browse to: C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets and look for "default_wallet" without an extension (.dat). Use search function to the whole computer if you're not sure where you've stored the wallet file.

Question 1: Please dumb down for me.
- When your address receive bitcoins, it was stored in the blockchain as "unspent output" (UTXO), it's just being displayed as the sum in blockexplorers.
Example: Address 123456789*** has a balance of 1BTC from multiple UTXO from different transactions: 1. 0.1BTC, 2. 0.7BTC and 3. 0.2BTC.
- Now you made a "sending" transaction and the client used the UTXO#2 (2. 0.7BTC) but it was taking too long and you want to speed it up.
- By using "replace-by-fee" to the particulat TX, it will also use the same UTXO (2. 0.7BTC) to the newly created transaction with higher fee of your choice in order to be confirmed in time.
- After the new transaction was confirmed, most nodes will "see" that the previous unconfirmed (low tx fee) transaction's UTXO was already spent by the higher fee tx and will be "discarded".
By making new standard transactions, even using the same address, the client will use other UTXOs to make the tx. In the other hand, Replace-by-fee will use the same UTXO. I hope that the terms that I've used were understandable enough.

Obviously, the graphics aren't amazing since it is on Paint, however it plays as though the characters are moving since I have scenes.
Ei, did you just insult MS Paint for producing crappy images? Peace -snip- Also if you guys have any suggestions make sure to let me know.
I would suggest you to at least purchase " Clip Studio Paint" for making the raw images or the complete animation ( not an Ad, I use it personally). It supports animation, draw frame by frame & almost all of Photoshop's features like layers; also, it's a bit stable even drawing using the mouse. Or if you're into ease of use, you can export the files to " Adobe Illustrator" and make use of its " Puppet warp" feature to simulate movement of limbs, head, etc in each frames. All you have to do is to make one quality image per scene and the tools will help you do the rest, there are tons of tutorials on Youtube too.

Why does it have to be crypto-related? If your talking about wireless display being " too complex", yes it is complex, the transmitted image isn't analog unlike VGA; nor ( wired) Digital that is being transferred through optimized connectors like DVI/HDMI/DP. With wireless displays, your phone must continuously send data equals to a sixty (60) 720p-4k image every second (if 60fps) and higher for high framerate monitors and phones. If bluetooth will be used, the data rate will be minimized to the maximum data rate of Bluetooth. Unless you can tolerate displaying 480p images to your HD TV. But then again, why crypto?

Theoretically, that should work... -snip-
I will work Even if his seed was generated by electrum and displayed as " checksum:failed" when BIP39 was selected, the next button will still be clickable and the wallet type dialogue will be displayed.

It happens when the OP where you've posted a reply was deleted by the mod. You didn't receive the notification because it wasn't your post that got deleted. What was my mistake that it got deleted? Let me know, I'll try to sort it out, thanks.
Stop posting to spam threads.

And you should definitely let us know if you really found a way out of these or not to recover your BTC, else we are all wasting our time here.
AlexBuckland already asked the same question in the Electrum board two-weeks ago and received enough valid suggestions and answers already. He posted a questionable .rar archieve and deleted it as instructed by mocacinno. So by repeating the same thread and posting it here in Beginners and Help ( where there are lots of newbies), it raised a red flag. Here's the previous thread and the replies. If he tries to post or PM you with the alleged " wallet.dat" and the passphrase, do not download it! @ AlexBuckland If you're legit, try installing the old versions of Electrum back when it generates electrum.dat ( or any name.dat) file instead of default_wallet. Download the old version here: download.electrum.org, switch-off your network adapter and open your copied wallet.dat ( make a backup because electrum sometimes modifies the file after opening). If successful, extract the SEED and restore it to the latest version of Electrum. Off-topic but newbies! take note: Keep away from Velkro's links in his Signature, it's a scam!
