5101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens rely entirely on ETH? on: August 09, 2019, 05:27:58 PM
I think it is because they are not really "coins" or at least they are not considered that way and they are just "tokens" which makes a big difference. I mean there are still ones that shine and become big but people are trying to invest into coins lately and there are not that many erc20 tokens that are in top 20 of crypto currency list (as far as I know) which is why they are not getting too much attention. That results with lower volume and that lower volume equals to slowly dying, when there is noone buying the sellers have to drop the price as much as they have to until they buy some more. It means the price will keep going down and down until something is done.

Hence, the difference between "token" and "coin" makes them go down a lot faster than non erc20 ones.
5102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 09, 2019, 04:16:47 PM
Carmelo in Miami would be great, he would actually get some minutes and they would actually not care if he does what he does, they are already tanking and they do not really have any chance at the title so that means Carmelo could play like he always plays and nobody would mind.

Maybe jimmy would because he is a competitor but dude literally moved from a championship level team to Miami this off season so I am not entirely sure if he really wants to win, if he stayed at Sixers there was a good chance he make it to finals this year and he declined that to go play in Miami so I am assuming its just fun for him nowadays so he wouldn't mind Carmelo neither. I really hope someone gives him a contract, this version of Carmelo getting retired because nobody wants him is not something he deserves.
5103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 09, 2019, 03:40:41 PM
I think it will be a boring match, we all know the result, we all know Liverpool is much better team, they also got a ton of money from winning the champions league and we all know they are better thanks to it, its not gonna be even a remotely close game, I would rather watch the highlights of the match tomorrow to be honest with you, I think its just another game to entertain the fans and make some more money with it but lets be honest facing champions league and euro cup champions against each other doesn't really sound that interesting.

I know sometimes the uefa cup winner takes the super cup but that is rare and it kinda shows how much the champions league winners either got worse or didn't care about the game, which makes it another level of boring to me.
5104  Economy / Economics / Re: Putin warns of financial crisis the world ‘has not yet seen’ on: August 09, 2019, 02:28:26 PM
Chinese war with USA right now is not hurting the world like it should, normally what we are not seeing is that china makes a ton of money thanks to USA companies building all their stuff in China and than USA companies make a lot of money thanks to manufacturing for cheap and than selling it globally to make money by putting their profits on top of that.

Now, when the war actually kicks in (not a real war like weapons but economical warfare) we will see more companies building stuff in USA itself to get away from the war and than stuff will be more expensive to build and they will increase the prices to make up for the difference which will have a global cost of it since all of the world will have to start paying more for it. Hence there will be a huge crisis of buying stuff that are super expensive and that is why I think we are getting close to a crisis Putin mentions.
5105  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Satoshi ever mention anything about the taxing of Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2019, 09:21:13 AM
I guess if you are creating something that would replace the fiat currency and even if we consider all nations eventually having their own crypto currency and everyone in the world paying for stuff with their debit cards filled with national crypto and mobile apps and so forth (futuristic looking but it is actually doable right now, just needs adoption) you have to consider taxing.

It means if satoshi was actually hoping for all the fiat currencies in the world getting destroyed and instead whole world eventually starts using crypto that would mean he needs to consider taxing as well, crypto is just changing the shape of currency from fiat to digital whereas it does nothing for taxing, governments still need to tax and still need to rule the world over and without that we can't really hope for governments to make the country better (not like they use it for that but at least there are minor things get done).
5106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 08, 2019, 05:22:34 PM
I don't think salary is an issue here, Melo will take the veteran minimum for sure, he can realize that nobody wants him and he got paid enough already so he is just gonna get paid the minimum he can get and be the 8th man on that team in minutes, will try his hardest to be a locker room camper and he will just try to play another 3-4 seasons.

I still think the best place for Melo to go would be Spurs, they usually have a mid-range game when starting because Derozan and Aldridge both play mid-range and Dejounte is not a lights out shooter neither so the game is not spaced out anyway so they have a strategy for that, if they bring in Melo as a bench for when SF changes (gay would probably be started but Derozan will move there most of the game when white and Murray plays together at guards) he could at least keep that mid range momentum going and who else than Popovich to actually tame a player.
5107  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the Effing Hell is Going On!?!?! on: August 08, 2019, 03:08:52 PM
Are most of you ppl who keep talking about btc price traders?  Or holders?  Because unless you plan to sell soon or trade, shouldn't none of this matters if you don't plan to sell btc?

It matters because we wanted to see how the price will grow in the future. That's why people complains when we have like a dip and then majority gets excited when we have this sort of mini-bull run. At the end of the day, investors are going to check their portfolio and see how it does in terms of fiat value.
Fiat should not be what will matter to you the most, but it should be the amount of bitcoin that you have in your account because that fiat you are talking of may become useless one day and crash beyond recognition. The bubble of money will soon burst and everyone will run to bitcoin then, so it is better you save yourself now by gathering as much as bitcoin that you can gather.

The easiest way to accumulate bitcoin is to always buy at dip, so what should be more of concern to you the opportunity to buy at dip and not the fiat you will get when bitcoin reaches peak. In future, bitcoin will eventually get to the peak that we will get tired of it, because the cost of accumulating it will be quite too high then. I am always happy anytime I see such flash crash because it gives me another chance to buy more.
5108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 08, 2019, 09:10:29 AM
I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.
Sorry if this isn't the place.
$60k, that’s really huge amount of money and I feel your pains. Sorry about the loss bro, I hope you will recover ad learn from your mistakes. There is only lesson from this, no matter how bad Bitcoin falls, the hope of getting back is sure and better than gambling. You thought you could rescue bitcoin loss by gambling but that was a very bad decision. Bitcoin is even in the best position to save gambling in terms of loses.

This is actually a very good place to pour out your feelings and I can assure you are at the right place. We feel your pains and I can only imagine what you are going through but like they say a living dog is better than a dead lion, be grateful that you are still alive and have the ability to share your story, that means open doors and more opportunities will come your ways soon just be careful not to repeat this mistakes again.
5109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC Process (Sportsbook) on: August 08, 2019, 06:56:09 AM
Some gambling ask for KYC for their own safety because they want someone to spoil what they have built for years cause crypto scammer and money launder try different means to achieve their goals and it doesn't take them anything to make deposit into a gambling site while they gamble a little and request for withdrawing in an altcoin to make transaction untraceable to them.
Mind you, back in the early 2016 most exchange site, ICOs project owner, etc, don't require KYC but all that changed after theft abuse cryptocurrencies and I don't think we should blame gambling site that implemented KYC either.
Most gambling sites are only hiding under this canopy. What safety?? Is the safety of the site not as important as that of the players, so why ask for passport?? My take remains that this isn’t really necessary and what about the very reputable sites that do not ask for KYC, don they have something to protect as well?

I have my new way of finding out those sites that ask for KYC, either at registration or those that do it at withdrawal and I avoid them as plagues because I also have a reputation to protect and cannot stand risking my personal details to a gambling site. All gamblers are not into money laundering and it is bad to use the actions of some few selected  money launders to affect the privacy of other genuine players.
5110  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC movement after today flash crash on: August 08, 2019, 04:40:35 AM
Don’t forget that we have people with different intentions, the reason why you usually see those crashes is because some people are taking their gain from the market when they see profit and if the bulls are strong enough to continue pushing it further, those ones will still have to return the profit and capital back out of fomo and this usually result to a very sudden jump in the price of bitcoin.

You thought that the value will just continue to increase without a corresponding reversal, it has never happened, you might even still get more correction than this, but when the main bull run starts, there is usually very little presence of correction, so if you know how to trade in short term now, you better do that, otherwise, you just have to keep waiting for bitcoin bull run for that long increase that you are waiting for.
5111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Symbol For The Satoshi on: August 08, 2019, 03:08:28 AM
I would like to mention that 1 Satoshi is now worth more than 7 national world's currencies.
The rate at which bitcoin is growing, I am sure that in the next 10 years, the number of currencies that 1 satoshi would have over taken will be much, the moment bitcoin supply goes near zero, the price of bitcoin would be so high that many people would turn to satoshi then , and I am also sure that by that time, 1 satoshi may be equals to 1 united states  dollar, and this may really bring about the end for the American dollar.

By the time bit coin stabilizes on I usd dollars to 1 satoshi for life, many country’s would prefer to hold it than holding the United states dollar, and also rely on using it for more of their operations oversees than changing their money to the united states dollar. Anyway, I am eagerly waiting for that period also that I can boast of having so many satoshis.
5112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: August 08, 2019, 02:30:30 AM
This is good news for all traders. And good news for the crypto currency world. Because, everyone wants. crypto currency should be declared by all governments. So everyone can manage and use it beautifully.
It is going to surely get to that stage but will be a gradual process, I have not heard of Croatian compliance to cryptocurrency before, but now we have seen it, this is the same way that other countries that has not been heard of will also start joining gradually, and like you said, these ones are already setting space down for some other countries now.

I think right now, I am aware of about 6 countries that are fully in use and support of cryptocurrency, which is beginning to make it difficult of any country to make any suggestion as regards the general ban of cryptocurrency, which will make them to start looking into also adopting it, just like china is beginning to consider, although they are only considering if they can develop their own cryptocurrency also.
5113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should we do ? on: August 08, 2019, 01:33:19 AM
One thing that you have to know is that cryptocurrency has come to stay, and if I were you, I would just ignore that and hold on to your bitcoin, there are many areas where you would need to use bitcoin, there might not be local exchanges that would change it to your country’s currency right now.

If you ignore this  and keep accumulating the bitcoin and it worth so much money in future, is it not for you to travel first to another country that uses dollars where you can get a local exchange to change your bitcoin to solar, and then look for an establishment in that country to invest your money to that would give you very legal reason when you start taking the money back to your country gradually to become one of the riches there lol.

Don’t sell, but just play very safe, this rule will only affect you changing your bitcoin through local exchanges.
5114  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcasino.io Scam on: August 07, 2019, 05:13:24 PM
Well, the replies above were right. Strong evidence is need when you are accusing a gambling site. Transactions, or screenshot as long as the uneditable photo you have shown. Because in the gambling industry there are so many gambling sites competitor, perhaps you are trying to destroy their image. Well, I have been searching for a while in google I saw that there's scam accusation alleging in that gambling site. Indeed, you need to show a shred of strong evidence.
I suggest you ignore the scam accusation you see on Google search, there will always be a scam accusation against every site no matter how reputable it maybe and some are mere accusations to reduce the traffic on this site and this can be the work of the oppositions just like you said. So not all accusation are for real.

I think this site in question have not really been in the news for dubious activities, I have done some deals with them both as player on the site and also on campaigns and to an extent they have been fair, so this could only be a mix up. And how on earth can one even lay such grievous accusation without evidence?? Was it right for people to ask for it first? This ought to have come first to me. But whatever it is, I am sure  it will definitely be resolved soon because I trust the site.
5115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 07, 2019, 03:57:44 PM
I don't understand why people think of Iggy that highly even after last season. Dude didn't manage to slow down any of the players he faced against and Kawhi cooked him easily, dude is basically a bench player that can't get decent minutes anymore. That Curry-Klay-Iggy-Durant-Dray lineup wasn't as effective as it used to be and any effect it had came from playing those 4 amazing players together.

I am not saying Iggy is worse than Melo and not saying he is better neither but from individual stand point without putting Melo into this topic I can clearly say that Iggy is well beyond his time to make any difference in Lakers. Melo would be team chemistry dude that Lebron loves to hang out maybe, that could be the only positive for him and I think his playing would be limited but Iggy doesn't even have that.
5116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening to STO projects? on: August 06, 2019, 06:11:39 PM
Many people assume that the STO project cannot develop properly, I only see if this is possible due to the lack of development and hard work from the team and this is why many people become pessimistic about STO. I think maybe this is a natural thing if now STO is defined as an unsuccessful project
It’s development is not attributed to the activeness of the team at all, I think that people does not generally just like STO projects because it does not look interesting to them, do you know that the way ICO do carryout campaign is also the same way that Bitbond did too, and virtually on everyone’s wall, you could see Bitbond, but even at that,. Nothing could still be shown about its development.

I have always known that anything that government is involved is always very slow in developing; the reason why you see ICO and IEO always growing is because they are both acting independently. If not for the scam that is in ICO, ICO to me is still the best form of crowd funding program that I have ever seen, and I just wish that something could be done to eliminate scam to zero level in ICO.
5117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 06, 2019, 03:30:09 PM
Indeed, people will always go with high rewards with lesser investments that is why many will choose lottery instead of anything else. Feeling lucky and greediness are the factors that made people want lottery because aside from low investment, it doesn’t really need so much effort or you don’t have to think of a strategy, you can just select random numbers and just wait for your luck.
The money for lotteries can easily be afforded and don’t forget that there are a very high number of those who want to make money from gambling but do not have the required skills. So, most of the times they also see lottery as gambling and the fact its cheap and very affordable would make them give it a trial.

This for me is waste of money, sometimes this little money when calculated becomes big and yet not signal of being a winner. I had one friend that has bought ticket for over 200 times and the day he realized he has been wasting money was when he stopped. He could have actually predicted a sport game with same money and stand a good chance of winning. He decided to start betting properly and hes been doing amazingly well with normal bets than the usual deceptive lottery ticket stuff.
5118  Economy / Economics / Re: The Central Bank of Facebook on: August 06, 2019, 10:45:03 AM
Unfortunately, the US government do not see it that way, they have their own perception and judgement based on their constitution and framework and they see Facebook's Libra coin as a big threat to the banking industry and the strength of the dollar, they do not want interruption and they do not want a new financial power coming in to challenge them.
But are they not allowing Libra to be launch? I think they haven't said something like that and they also didn't say about that threat.
AFAIK, all they mentioned is just in relation to regulation and they want Libra to complied with the strict regulation so they can monitor this project properly and that's their job, imagine the risk if they can't monitor it, Libra might attract billions of users world wide and illegal activities could be rampant without a strict policies impose on them.
Well, I have seen some news around about G7 discussion disapproving the use of Libra and seeing it as a global threat and this may be the reason why Facebook too announced that they might not succeed in launching the project too, if the source of news where I read it was true because I don’t rely on Facebook official statement again, it has been long that people started talking about Facebook Libra coin which I never believe because Facebook did not make any official statement, only for me to see their statement about it at the dying time.

So, I believe there is still element of truth in this and Facebook might have been advised to halt the project and I would not be surprised if we don’t hear anything about the project again.
5119  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the current tax status of crypto-currency in the USA? on: August 06, 2019, 08:45:14 AM
The IRS is like a real estate agent.  They find where deals are going down and then jump out in front of it and say they want a piece of the pie too.

The IRS is a private company.  All those bozos can do is send letters.  The IRS can never show up to your house.  They can just send letters.

I'd like to see Bitcoiners take a new and bolder stance on this tax topic.  I think the IRS is going to be completely outnumbered when it comes to taxing Bitcoin. There very well could be a revolution brewing with a global currency and the light bulbs will eventually all turn on for the masses.  I think The People will decide that Bitcoin is non-taxable, not the IRS.
Of course, they would surely be outnumbered, and how can they even tax what is yet to be regulated, except maybe they just want to have a fixed tax for companies running blockchain technology system. The physical tax collectors in my country even lacks the capacity to control the ones they can physically manage, talk less of managing a digital tax. In my country, not every company pays tax, they only go after the companies that they know about.

Maybe as a result of hype or so. Most of the companies that even operate solely online in my country including my own company has never been once bothered for tax, so it think cryptocurrency would really make the job very hard for them now if people start using it and that is why they may introduce fix tax.
5120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose which bounty campaign to participate in? on: August 06, 2019, 03:46:50 AM
As there are 5 to 10 new campaigns coming up every day, same way we have 5 to 10 projects that are also exiting the industry every day, either as a result of collapse, lack of meeting their cap or scam. So it become necessary to really take note of what we must use to know that its project will be successful before promoting them is to basically look at their paper plan, and see what they are promoting.

From our own point of view, we must first be convinced that the project will be accepted and used, if you are not convinced, then  don’t invest because if a coin will not be useful in future, it will only be a pump and dump coin, secondly you have to study about the team, check their history and see if they are not lazy team that will abandon the project along the line.
