We'll see who's got naive passion within few days. Wink

You know what, your right. Let's give this a try.

I have $30.00 in my PayPal account, whats your account? Ill send it right now.

My BTC address is 1BXcEHsaV1qPHTLj2jjLW8Tr9z37szPe3t

Pussy. Make it $300. I'm going to take him for purchase through his services the sum of $500 for starters.
5102  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: PayPal for BTC Exchanger on: February 20, 2012, 04:35:08 AM
No sorry LoupGaroux, but I reserved my right to decline any customer if I dont feel he's right in my gut. and I dont want his offer.

I am healthy stepticism, I just found out something about PayPal that 95% people doesnt know and I'll be using it in my transactions to ensure that I am safe. Believe it or not,i dont really give a single care, sorry m8.

Sounds too good to be true - yes that's right, but I cant really seem to fit it here since you're guys one who are paying me with REVERSABLE money and you are getting paid with NOREVERSABLE money. sorry mate, your argument is just invalid.

PP itself is not a scam itself, noone of my friend had problems with them since they created their accounts many years ago, ofc maybe their system is a bit too paranoid but what ya gonna do? I do use PayPal and wont stop use it.

Maybe there's a flaw in my system, but that won't stop me from giving it a try and finding it out by myself, you don't need to assure me million times that I can get scammed - no shit sherlock?

I am not going into business of losing money as a public serve - I am pretty sure that 1 out of 10 my transactions MAY turn out as a scammer, not more and I can still prevent that if I am smart enough. Maybe it's hard to believe, but you'll see it as soon as I get my first customers.

Ridiculous claims? seriously mate, just because I offer very rare service, doesnt mean I am automatically scam

OH WAIT,I AM OFFERING THAT KIND OF EXCHANGE IN WAY THAT BUYER CANNOT BE SCAMMER - yes that's right, buyer cannot be scammed in any possible way, except that he is total idiot and created paypal yesterday.

Will I be banned or scammer labeled if I totally bankrupt this newb?

Hey OP, I'll buy 100 BTC from you right now through paypal.

Easy money.

Yea. Right. You must be new to think that we're not the 5%.
5103  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: PayPal for BTC Exchanger on: February 20, 2012, 04:26:08 AM
This is ridiculous, just like Mr Coins who I verbally raped a month before they got shut down warning them their business model was doomed and all the while they kept me "Just because it didn't work for YOU, doesn't mean it won't work for me! I'm a professional business man herp derp anything I do will succeed herp derp*"

(*Went out of business a few weeks later as their google checkout and paypal accounts got shut down)

Naivety is king in Bitcoin. Just let him get horribly scammed and learn the hard way.
5104  Other / Off-topic / Re: Javascript on: February 19, 2012, 06:48:35 PM
My first web scripting language was Javascript. I do JQuery mostly now along with some mobile development top-layer platforms.
jQuery is JavaScript.

More specifically, JQuery is a custom written Javascript library.

I want to learn Javascript [...]
Where do I start?

www.python.org

That's just ignorant. You're going to confuse people who don't know the difference between server-side and client-side languages. Ignorant people like OP.

Wait.... I know the difference, but now I'm confused.  WTF does that have to do with Python?  Python is very useful both client-side and server-side.

I meant to say "design language", not "client side". I am speaking of in-browser website development languages, not desktop programming.

community backed legal entity to defend bitcoin related projects is a must

I haven't read this thread yet and I don't think I need to, but this is a direct response to the title only:

You don't want an organization to "defend" a utility, you want a standards committee to maintain it unofficially. The more legal issues there are, the bigger a target any 'official' organization would be. What you want is something like the FED, not the Treasury.
5107  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 15 BTC for designing a logo on: February 19, 2012, 02:06:05 PM
I guess I better give it a shot since everything here so far looks like it was done in paintbrush. (No offense)

What happened with this one anyway?
5109  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? [PASSWORDS LEAKED] on: February 19, 2012, 11:55:20 AM
Whether Bitscalper is a blatant ponzi, or just another MyBitcoin scam is besides the point--- the owner wants to remain 100% anonymous at all costs, did not backup any wallets or site code, does not understand security, constantly brags about who he knows and what he can do and yet falls short of even the mildest of expectations. This site should not be avoided because "someone didn't get paid out", it should be avoided because anonymous services that hold your money are a bad idea. For all you know, this site is Atlas's.
5110  Economy / Services / Re: Medical Consult for Bitcoins on: February 19, 2012, 11:29:48 AM
I had this idea in the DCAO about 4 months ago, but it got shot down for some very serious reasons, the main two reasons being:

1) Potential negligence on the part of the individuals giving the medical advice. You can be sued, banned from medical school, degree revoked, etc just like lawyers can because the livelihood of people is in your hands; and even if that's not a problem in your specific country,

2) You cannot physically check (even with a webcam) enough parameters to do much more than WebMD does. Can someone send you blood samples? can you touch their back to see if you find a tumor?

Aside from these, I fully support anyone giving basic advice based on medical texts. WebMD kind of fails because they take too long to respond on issues. If you can solve that by doing this, I think it isn't that bad of an idea.

Bear, or dude in bigfoot or bear costume. Or a target on a shooting range. Or some dude posing near old ruins.

It's Bigfoot.

Using CSI image enhancement...

5113  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Silk Road Research site legality on: February 19, 2012, 10:14:47 AM
It is hard to access silk road.  Would it be legal to have a website that caches silk road daily but u cannot buy anything from it?  It is just for curious people or for journalistic research.

Under what law is it illegal to merely VIEW silk road?

In Korea, there are actually laws about viewing things like SilkRoad, as visiting the website is seen as intent to buy. The same goes for child pornography though, and if your friend sends you a link to some, are you going to jail for clicking it? I think those laws are all impossible to prove intent without spying on you a bit more.

UPDATE: I asked Sunny when I could expect my shipment and in less than 15 minutes received a response back that since I am in Asia, I should expect it mid-March. I hope Vladimir gets a chance to try it out before I get mine. Worst case scenario, I'll do some basic review photography etc in Korea and let Vlad do the specs.
5116  Other / Off-topic / Re: Javascript on: February 19, 2012, 08:36:47 AM
If you're a beginner and you want to get started with making websites, understand the differences:

Programming is not what Javascript is for. Scripting is the lightweight, compiled-at-runtime version of programming that is easier for beginners to use.

If you want to learn something that isn't as hardcore as Perl or Python, PHP is the best for newbies to get started (except that it teaches you poor security practices).

If you want to learn something that is for web browsers, you will need to work with Javascript. JQuery is a top-layer to Javascript. It rides on top and is useless without Javascript. While using JQuery, you will also be using Javascript, the only difference being that you can do the same thing in JQuery in one line that used to take Javascript 100 lines to achieve.

My first web scripting language was Javascript. I do JQuery mostly now along with some mobile development top-layer platforms.

My first scripting language was mIRC script, then Dragonspeak for Furcadia, then PHP.

My first programming language was QBasic/Visual Basic for DOS.

I would recommend if anyone is trying to "get their feet wet" that the first thing they get into is PHP (most widely used) and MySQL. (I can hear all the security gurus cringing right now). If you're planning on saving the planet however, get into Perl, Erlang, and HTML5.

In a few weeks.

Am I the only one who is starting to feel concerned about Matthew because his avatar hasn't changed for over a week?  Undecided

It's funny you said that. I've been looking for a suitable replacement all day.

EDIT: Found one.
