5101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 29, 2021, 07:36:41 AM
The odd do not necessarily mean anything. If we remember Europa League recent final Manchester United was at 1.90 odd but the game was won from Villareal with odds over 4.5 although through the penalties and that means that the odds that really won was the draw at almost 3.8 odd.Tonight is just a game and although City is the stronger team in a single game anything can happen and even Chelsea can win the game.Chelsea has a bit more of experience when it comes to Champions League finals so this is in their advantage tonight.
I will not be surprised to see Chelsea win the European Champions League final, though Man City really tried this time around and would want to win their first UCL title, but Chelsea has more experience in playing it than Man City. Anyone one of them can win it though, but because of experience, Chelsea has more chances to win it. But what is now confusing me to doubt is the fact that both of them have been playing together as usual because they are from EPL, this is another thing to also talk about. But as for me, I go for Chelsea though.

About Man United and Villarreal Europa final, nobody won the match, it was draw, then penalty was played, and Villarreal won with penalty. Anyone that bet draw on gambling sites are the one that won the bet because penalties are not counted as part of a game, only 1st to 90th minute are counted.
5102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: May 29, 2021, 07:18:36 AM
1- Would you gamble at a crypto-casino knowing it would ask you for KYC documents before withdrawal?
Many people are comfortable with this as many people are comfortable with using centralized exchanges that demand for KYC. I am very conscious not to just easily give out my KYC to any site, but I can not have much coins on gambling sites, this should not then lose risk. If I win big, I will only easily move all my funds out of the exchange, mix it using a mixer and I am safe.

2-  Do you feel safe giving out your KYC to online crypto-casinos?
I feel reluctant, that is why I prefer to use non kyc betting sites, and there are many non kyc bettings sites that will require nothing more than email. This is the reason I have not even used kyc betting sure before.
5103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 29, 2021, 07:10:14 AM
I bet they made those odds based on how teams performed in the just concluded season. Regardless of the odds, Liverpool has a pretty good shot at winning the PL title again. This season, we'll get more reinforcement for our squad. My moneyis on Liverpool and not even Chelsea or Man City.
Nobody can predict who will win the EPL title until the winner beginning to surface after over 20 or even more matches have already being played by each clubs. It can be Liverpool, it can be Man City, it can be any of the other strong clubs that will win next season EPL title. But what I do know is that Man City get a better chance, though my prediction is not accurate now because the season has not even started yet, but when Man City are not even strong at wining other league like European Champions League, it still have its way winning EPL. This is just a prediction based on frequent winning over the last 10 years, my prediction is not professionally accurate.
5104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is taking over (A graphical Illustration) on: May 29, 2021, 06:58:26 AM
(1) The green and blue colors on the bitcoin symbol are the colors of vegetation and water bodies illustrating that bitcoin is going global.
Bitcoin has already gone global, if it hasn't gone global, some countries that have wrong understanding about it will not ban it, countries that understand good about it will not support it. It is because it has gone global that makes it the talk all over the world, there is no country in the world now that majority of its citizen will not know bitcoin, even if the major are not using it, bitcoin news is also all over the internet now.
5105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Degree in gambling? on: May 28, 2021, 12:42:37 PM
Gambling is a fun way to spend your free time. Right?
Yes, but some people see it the other way around, thinking it is a way of money making, but gambling should just be for fun, especially during boring weekends and during important matches.

But have you ever wondered what it would be like to work at the casino?
It will be cool because gambling industries have high rate of growth and development.

How about you, would you be interested in having a degree in the gambling industry?
As for me, I do not think so, I am not interested, I only just prefer to have fun with few games played most especially on weekends. But I think this will create opportunities for people seeking to work in gambling industry, such people will have high chances to be employed if compared to other people.
5106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and Mining on: May 28, 2021, 11:05:37 AM
This raspberry pi can handle all the work If the big miners are out?
Anything that can download the blockchain and run as node can do the work, but this is just in theory, we will not expect such to happen because if all miners are not mining and remain only few miners, there will be possibility of 51% attack because the hashrate will significantly reduce to an extent the blockchain may be vulnerable to 51% attack, but I do not expect big miners to leave mining bitcoin, it is not possible. If as a result of the country they are banned not to mine, they will move to another country, also this will be the reason many other miners not in such country will increase their mining power for better opportunities, some people will also join mining. There is nothing that can affect bitcoin mining power to such extent.
5107  Other / Meta / Re: ban appeal thread on: May 28, 2021, 10:54:15 AM
How do I get in touch with moderators?  Huh
What can make your account to be unbanned is when people here agree and oppose the ban, with that the moderators will be able to see if to unban your account, but in all cases of permanent ban I have seen on this forum, the moderators have genuine reasons for banning accounts. Most of the reason is spamming, copy and paste of other users posts without quoting it and plagiarizing other materials generally.
5108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinTalk's altcoin section vs. altcoinstalks.com on: May 28, 2021, 10:42:30 AM
The last time I checked altcoinstalks.com traffict, it is barely 260000 people that visited the site at peak this year, also having around 200000 traffic recently. You can not compared it with bitcointalk.org that had almost 5 million traffic at peak this year and currently maintaining around 4 million traffic. The forum with the higher numbers if visitors will be the winner because it will have more bounties. Funny enough, altcoin bounty board is still on of the most active board on this forum, which means it will also be one of the most visited. You do not have to compare both site, altcoinstalks.com is nothing before bitcointalk.org.

Pros and Cons? Use them both?
Use them both if you are able. If you are not able to use them both, use bitcointalk.org.
5109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No One Can Shut Down Bitcoin on: May 28, 2021, 09:21:46 AM
If the governments of the whole world can come together to ban it, they will be successful, but the governments of the world can not have the same say over cryptocurrencies, which is the reason bitcoin can not be banned. As one country will ban cryptocurrencies, the other countries will not ban but support cryptocurrencies as an opportunity. Also as some countries ban cryptocurrencies, some will later decide to legacy it back. Cryptocurrencies are difficult to ban which makes bitcoin hard to ban, in fact, bitcoin in this sense can not be banned.
5110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Junior students ask for advice: what money is worth investing now, and what mone on: May 27, 2021, 02:19:25 PM
At present, what other currencies have great potential (such as eth XRP in those years), and I also want to invest in them   Put it still, and then look at it five years later. Please give me some advice
The right advice remained left to you, nobody will give you the accurate advice you want, though not that they can not give you right advice, but you need to be the one to make research about this and invest on the coins you want to be able to know better and have experience about cryptocurrencies. I can advise you to download coingecko or coinmarketcap to check the history of crypto prices, you will be able to decide which one is best for you.
5111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of your first contact with BTC? on: May 27, 2021, 02:12:23 PM
What's great about it is, people can transact using BTC whether their governments are for it, or against it. Tongue That's the power of having an actual decentralized asset. They can illegalize it, but they can't technically ban it.
Even who are the ones that want to ban bitcoin, I am not surprised to see bitcoin not banned in many countries, when the leaders of the countries also like to invest in bitcoin and gain and increase in wealth. Bitcoin is hard to ban, the human nature makes it impossible, but the government are trying to make sure bitcoin can be linked to individuals having it, this is the modern day threat that many people are not concerned about which can pose more risk in the future. But as for bitcoin ban, it is not possible just like you said.
5112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value and market on: May 27, 2021, 02:06:23 PM
Bitcoin needs  limits.
All Exchangers should have limits it means that there is some limits that btc cant go to Under those prices.
25% correction Will devastate many People Financially.
So markets should have the limits how low the prices Can go then it Will Give some credibility and btc Can be taken seriously.
Bitcoin is an open source currency, you can make this approach to the bitcoin community but I am very sure this will not be welcomed because you only want to manipulate and centrally bias about some aspects of bitcoin. Nobody controls the price if bitcoin, is that not decentralized enough, before anyone should buy bitcoin, he need to have know the risks and gain involved. Even in normal businesses, if you do not study the risk very well, it can lead to losses, that is why knowing what you are dealing with in depth is very necessary. If you are not okay with bitcoin, you can make your own coin and write down the rules on the white paper, but bitcoin is far better than this.
5113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning your first merit on: May 27, 2021, 08:07:59 AM
I've been posted yesterday night before I sleep. When I woke up and open bitcoin talk and check my post I'm shock  2 people merited it. This is my first merit  I cannot figure out my emotions when I saw that they give it to me.
Merit is very important on this forum as it signifies that someone is contributing quality posts on this forum, that is why it brings good feelings especially when you first noticed a user that merit one or two of your posts, but as you continue to receive the merit, it will later be normal to you, although it will still bring good feelings always but you will not be as surprised as you were the first time you received merit. If you continue to contribute quality posts, or post something that can make another user merit you, you will continue to earn more merits.
5114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everybody talking about digital currency like btc will replace fiat but question on: May 27, 2021, 08:01:41 AM
Bitcoin Limited supply not good option as currency.
You mean it will be better for bitcoin supply to be unlimited? This will only result to bitcoin not to have any value, it will be the reason for the single point of failure for bitcoin. Just use the law of economics for this, the higher the supply the low the price, but the lower thae supply the higher the price. The higher the pric, the more people will demand for it, as people demand more for it, the price increase the more. It is just as simple as that.
5115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To be honest about Investing on: May 27, 2021, 07:37:11 AM
...
Trading is very risky, be it crypto, forex or stocks trading, but trading is different from investment. Assuming you waited patiently and buy crypto at the right time when the market has already declined in price, you will later gain. If you even buy and the price drop, the price will still increase back but this depends on the coin you bought, coins like bitcoin and other strong coins will increase and reach high price again higher than before for holders to gain, holding just needs patience, but this is the quality most people are not having, people prefer fast money, which is the reason they are losing.
5116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be a counselor to newbies on: May 26, 2021, 08:07:13 AM
The work of a counselor is to guide, to show corrections. A counselor is a role model that has a lot to offer and that which is in him/her can add to the understanding of others.
This forum is like that, if newbies are making mistake, the ranked members that can correct them will correct them.

Newbies are to be encouraged, corrected and cautioned to improve and grow to get understanding.
You are very right about this, but some newbies do not like to accept corrections, they see it as criticism but which is wrong. I noticed the ones that are very passionate about bitcoin and bitcointalk later become ranked members too, but they also accept corrections which is the reason for this forum existence.
5117  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long until the "we're in a bear market" people admit they were wrong? on: May 26, 2021, 07:50:33 AM
As for me in my opinion, I can not say yet the bull market is not over for now, though not over because bitcoin will still get to $100000 one day, but I am thinking the market may not increase for now, it might be around $30000 to $40000 after the recent bear market that occured. But what I know is that no matter how long this last, the bull run is coming again, people will buy bitcoin and the price will increase. The bear market is even keeping the market healthy, making people to know that because of the fall they need to invest to gain, it is just a correction that will later lead to another all-time-high, all we need to just do is to be patient.
5118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reverse Bubble 2021 on: May 25, 2021, 01:49:13 PM
This is more researches done on bitcoin price history, with everything I read, it is just exactly what happens to the price as a result of fomo an certain news. When there is bad news at times, the price will decrease in bubbles, but bitcoin price is just like 'when there is a storm, calm comes next', that is why the price will increase back. If someone is very patient, the time when the price of bitcoin decrease very significantly is the time to buy again because many people are waiting for such time for no two reasons than to buy, this makes the price to increase. But what is always happening after bitcoin price rise and fall is that the increase over long term will be higher than the fall, this will push bitcoin price later to another all-time-high.
5119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Ray Dalio says ‘I Have Some Bitcoin’ on: May 24, 2021, 08:09:12 PM
Quote
https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-ray-dalio-i-have-some-bitcoin
The billionaire hedge fund boss sees an inflationary future where “cash is trash” and BTC catches on as a store of wealth. He still doubts governments will tolerate it.

I am happy to this kind of man that knows the the value of fiat that fiat will as usual devaluing currency, that is just fiat for everyone, people living in developing countries and below will be the ones that will suffer the devaluation of fiats most while other countries with strong economy are not left out because fiat are controlled by central authority. Ray Dalio says says:

Quote
U.S. dollar is on the verge of devaluation on a level last seen in 1971 and that China is threatening the greenback’s role as the world’s reserve currency. In such an environment bitcoin, with its gold-like properties, looks increasingly attractive as a savings vehicle, said Dalio, whose firm started 2021 with $101.9 billion in assets under management, making it the world’s largest hedge fund.

“Personally, I’d rather have bitcoin than a bond” in an inflationary scenario, Dalio said during an hour-long conversation with CoinDesk Chief Content Officer Michael J. Casey.

Because the price of bitcoin is decreasing for now, do not let us forget that there was once a time bitcoin price was less than 1 dollar, and over the time it has been increasing, decrease a little and increase more than before in a way it will set all-time-high. Bitcoin holders that wait for long period of time will not lose but gain.
5120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Bitcointalk Urban Achievers Merit Scholarship Program on: May 24, 2021, 05:57:05 PM
It doesn't have to be reported and deleted. It can be locked by op and create a new one that is self-moderated simple as that.
I was only suggesting this, I am quite new to this forum if compared to nutildah, he can decide to look it or not. He knows the best to do. He may even leave it like this, I thought it will be congested with newbies useless posts before, but not the ways I thought.

In case nutildah doesn't have the required sMerits, but finds an applicant (or more of them) that deserve to get a boost to rank up, there is always the option to report such posts in the Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source thread. You can explain and post a link back to this thread to clarify your initiative. One of the forum's merit sources will then likely step in and help.
It depends, if the posts has been reported there before, later posted here, that means it is no more qualified to be report again. But if it has not been reported before, it can be reported and if merit source see it to be given merit, it will be given.
