I am a buyer of hand guns if they are not small caliber. If you have a man sized gun for sale hit me up  Tongue

It's a 9mm u mofo. .45s are for small penis people!

See... bitcointalk can look just like a gun forum.   I think it's worth mentioning it's not all about the caliber.  You get some nice defense rounds it makes a world of difference on what bullet does.

I personally like being able to shoot a decent grouping which the 92 series does for me.   I can see both sides of the argument.

I own some 9MM and they are nice to shoot (cheap ammo is a huge bonus). I am actually going to buy either a 460VXR or the Raging Judge...not sure which yet!

That is the truth some ammo you can go broke shooting... but it is a lot of fun.   My Spikes Tactical pistol is the one that runs me up in ammo.  30 Rounds goes pretty darn quick.

I bought a big box of green tips to shoot...... i need to find some thick metal to play with it.  I have been waiting for a fun occasion to play with it.
5122  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: ASICPuppy.net - AntRouter R1 ($49.99) COMPAC ($34.99) - ANTMINER U3 ($44.99) on: October 22, 2015, 01:49:12 AM
for the U3 i read AC line not provided. is there a recommended option if this is not provided?

Power adapter is included but the ac cable is not.

Any standard IEC C13 cable will do. Common for Power supplies.

http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-09482-Universal-IEC320C13/dp/B000067RWH/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1445476963&sr=8-5&keywords=iec13+power+cord

Speaking of power adapters I was happily surprised R1 works without adapter on US plug.   I had ordered one from amazon tried with and without either way R1 ran.  So I consider that great news as it's sleek against the power compared to adapter.

Where did you get these ?

Edit: I want one now!  Grin

Eventually should be on https://ehash.com/ eventually.  I have to admit Itop has gotten the scoop early a few times at this point, exciting to see a release like this.

I really want to see a price.   I would love to add one ... or more to collection.   The 4.1 I fell for I bought 1.... did a review and loved it and bought 2 more to get the set.   I'm hoping for same feeling on this miner.   I was impressed with the 4.1 running in my bedroom only miner I did this with ever.

But now I have a mining area so noise not an issue.   I hope more info soon.

5125  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread oct 15th to oct 29th picks are open!! With a bonus reward. on: October 22, 2015, 12:41:29 AM
I'm looking like I overestimated this week by quite a bit.  I'm happy to be wrong but very suprised S7's did not push it up.  I don't know what to expect over next few weeks.   I thought some big wave... but so far I have been wrong.

The great thing is BTC value we were at 230 for the longest time.  To be around 267 feels really good.   30 dollars + and staying kinda stable is a good direction to be.  I hope price continues to rise slowly.
5126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: October 21, 2015, 11:50:10 PM
Can't be that hard for me. Providing I invest and don't spend so much, as to reserve as much as possible, by next years end I may have possibly a BTC or two.

I mine altcoins and trade them for BTC when the market rises for the coin in question.  I mine something at EOBOT for most of the daytime, then mine cloud for the night time.

That way I can keep some hash for 24 hrs at a time. Plus, I keep my little miner on 24/7 if possible for the coin I want to mine. This way has worked for me. Now have 0.01 right

now, because I started to do this recently. I occasionally stop at a handful of faucets to top up at times. I USED to go to faucets and spend the whole damn day doing those.

I remember actually DREAMING about trying to visually "do" a captcha on the ceiling on my room, it was so miserable. Never. Again!

I don't see a year of faucets getting to 1 BTC even if you spent most of every day doing it.   Capatcha... I'm sure they say it could but that is a LOT of typing and a lot of hours of a mind numming task at very little pay.  If you got minimum wage job you would make thousands in same time as capatcha's make 10's off dollars most likely.

But altcoints is kinda risky.  It can do it but some lose value.  So depends on your track record there really.

But mining easily could see a BTC in a year.  And you don't mention sig campaigns and you have one of those.  Sig campaigns again 1 btc in a year is very doable.
5127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and Paypal on: October 21, 2015, 11:45:10 PM
If you sell on PP you are screwed because in disputes they tend to lean towards the buyer side.

And also the chargeback shit makes its horrible. Better use bitcoin, its irreversible, and with proper escrow, you can eliminate scams to 0.000000001%
Yes. Chargebacks from what I understand can be up to 80-90 days. That is alot of time to decide if you want to return something and get your money back.

Yep it should be 6-7 days, or even without chargeback, there is no reason for it, if you buy something then you own it. Try sell it it elsewhere lol.

People can give out voluntary warranty if they want, but you just cant force them to have chargeback system, its unfair.

Depends on item.  Some items sadly you need the longer warranty.  Anything digital I'm a little afraid of online.  That it is bought from say a carded source.

If you bought something with digital content, or something with lifetime (tivos for example) you need longer as if it's carded they shut it down eventually... but not in 6-7 day's most likely.

So I would agree as a seller on miners I would like less day's on paypal.  But other items as buyer it does serve valid purpose.
5128  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Oct 11 to Nov 11 Sidehack stick pool club. on: October 21, 2015, 11:32:12 PM
I still love the prize of a compac stick.  I think winner might need it if they OC for 24 hours.

I'm really interested in what is max speed for 24 hours.  The 24 hours makes it interesting as that is a OC sustained for a while.  I think this contest will provide some great fun, and possibly great photos.

I asked if I could mention this on the forum.
Have been buying from him since s3 days.

Do you have actual proof such as a transaction in blockchain?  Or anything that is true proof.

A email asking ... does not prove to me as it could be faked easily.
5130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: October 21, 2015, 11:20:53 PM
what about the A2 chip they only mine Script and seem to be about the same power use but only do Script Ming   if you shop around you can get a 110 A2 at 28 nm chips for like 500 $ but shipping kills that deal unless you can find one with free shipping or close to you . they are big and heavy like the Zeus miners or G blacks and just as much noise but they can be controlled a lot better for less noise.

KNC cost to much we know why they are so high . I won't start with them .

The great difference is the eficience; Sfards is 4,33j/mhs, KNC is 3,80j/mhs and A2 is 10j/mhs, just a very BIG difference. The first two are for long time, the last have less choices at long term. And it must be in price.

A2 was king for a LONG time.  Longer then I ever thought to be honest.  I sold my A2 long ago thinking of new gear.  But I was wrong on timeline.

I hope to see a miner come on market for scrypt at a fair price.  And if you do find that custom one please post pics.  I just have not seen a custom data center of scrypt.

I should have listened to my hunch. If what wolfen says is true - I'm going to cancel & get a refund......these things are too expensive to be messed about by bitmain shipping delay nonsense.

Don't know if you will be able to based on price they say below:

Yeah, those terms are another reason I was so unsure of buying - they;re terrible. Although, I do have family near where they are based........

I'm beginning to think that wolfen is talking BS to be honest - no email posted, too many firsts as you say, & all 134 of his posts are here in the S7 thread - too much of a coincidence.

Do Bitmain employ shills?
No shill here sir. No troll either. This is the first and only forum I have used.
I pretty much figured things out myself.
I have been waiting 7 weeks for my miners, it is exciting to see people get theirs.
I get and have gotten all my antminers from the Denver Bitmain office over the years. (s3,s3+,s5,s7)
I'm just a programmer. Older than dirt.
Denver offers $100 USA warranty so you don't have to send sick ones back to China.
Small price for quick turnaround.
Bitmain Denver 844-248-6246.
This is just how I purchase. Wanted to share. It's nice to help folks out
I was on the phone with a gentleman for an hour helping him get the s5 I sold him up and running.

Can you give more details?  I know they have support there.  But I honestly have not heard of a way to purchase through them, let alone a 100 dollar us warranty.

Who are you purchasing from at the office?   Can you show emails edited?  I just have a hard time believing it.
Did you get the post of email  from Yoshi?

I saw it but I don't believe it unless Yoshi confirms.  This buy US with a extra warranty seems to be something only you have done, which is odd.

I cant imagine going to support and ask to buy gear.  But I could be wrong Yoshi is a nice guy.
5132  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining dead ? on: October 21, 2015, 11:02:50 PM
We can say mining is a kind off dead now as now most of the btc dont want to invest money on. Asiic miners and waste money on bills... So slowly slowly miners are packing up from mining

Individual distributed miners yes.  The conglomerates are continuing to amass given the 50% growth we've seen over the past couple of months.

I'm earning just fine, the key is just having cheap electricity, under 0.04$/kWh really make it a completely different games for home miners.

Of course the biggest growth will be in data centers, but also home miners that decide to man up and get into this new thing called "Bitcoin" when they realize they could make bank because they pay 0.02-0.04$/kWh.

It is also done with pretty smart investing by some people.   The top few datacenters we have seen pictures of they knew what they are doing.  It is high risk and high reward.

We have all seen pictures of that one center full of SP gear after fire.   So we can't say all were as smart or as lucky.  I can't fault these big companies.

But home mining and hobby mining are still alive.  I'm still doing it.  Some with high electricity or rediclous vat have been pushed out... but there is not much you can do with a free market to prevent that.  And there is always data centers for some.

5134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: October 21, 2015, 08:41:00 PM
In Sfard's defense, it came out before any of the new chips.....

Only, it didn't "come out". Two, maybe three miners are reported in the wild showing dubious results - hardly the "mass production" they claim  Wink

There are a few more then 3 but not a ton.  They picked a few resellers and sold them 5.  It seems each one got that 5 number.

After that purchase all quiet on front from SFards on chips or miners.  I think they must be mining internal is my theory.  They  have the only modern scrypt chip, so they have zero competition right now but old gear.
No, they have the only publicly announced modern scrypt chip. No doubt there are others with chips just as efficient if not more hashing away purely scrypt.
There is no way to know this.  Unless you know something the rest of us don't know.

I think you are underestimating how hard it is to get a new chip, and cost.  For someone to do in house make a chip, then miner on scrypt for it is a pretty big task.
5135  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling my Beretta 92FS Vertec Inox Handgun on: October 21, 2015, 08:10:30 PM
Yeah 92s are a fine gun, I own two, was just trying to get you an idea what to ask for..

I would take it to either a firearm forum, armslist, or gunbroker to get what you want out of it..

Actually a few guns sell here.  It does not happen to often, but there is a following that purchase.

As far as price no where will be that 900.  I have a feeling price will have to be dropped to re-sell.   But I'm not taking away from the 92 series they are great guns and pretty popular.

You will find more people for jobs over there.

5139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make Bitcoin transactions untraceable? on: October 21, 2015, 06:37:15 PM
I heard many mixer services will make our transactions untraceable by using different bitcoin addresses. very much useful services.
Mixers are centralized third parties. This is not a trustless solution
You can use different mixers and gambling sites to lower the probability of it getting linked together. You could potentially send it to a trustable mixer which delete logs but still it may be possible that they are keeping them. You can also exchange the Bitcoin to Monero using exchange A and send the monero to exchange B to withdraw. Many exchanges do not require verification.

Sounds like a lot of work and on mixer your trusting someone else you have no idea who it is. I still think mining sounds like easiest way.

Mine through a proxy or vpn you know does not keep log and mine directly to bitcoin address you want.  It's a new coin so no real history but from pool sending it.
Again, those providers may just be making a false promise and not actually deleting the logs or worst, giving them to the government. Unless you have any miners that is efficient, it probably won't work and the risk is huge. Renting rigs wouldn't help either, they typically sell their hashpower at more than what you can earn.

I am kinda a pessimist on some things.  I look at it as chances are a mixer has some records.  They need to know what comes in and what goes out ... or how do they know they are making a profit?

They have wallets somehow connnected to the site.  Can you imagine having a decent hot wallet running a mixer and not logging IP's or other info?  I mean what if they are hacked they need info on where coins are sent... and more info.  I think they as a business have some logs in most cases.
5140  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB Device!?!? on: October 21, 2015, 06:07:03 PM
Cgminer only mines with dedicated bitcoin mining hardware plugged into your computer. Neither your CPU nor your GPU can be used to mine bitcoin with.
This is the creator of the software he did this to keep people from ruining their computers, so if you are following an old guide op it is no longer correct as difficulty (how much power needed to mine a block) has gone up. If you just want to play with bitcoin I suggest buying a sidehack usb or if you want to play with altcoins I suggest using this always on pc for staking, if you go with the later look into the altcoin sub topic for more information.

I would second this if your wanting to learn but in a order for a compac. You can learn mining for cheap and it's also fun.

I have a feeling OP is in the dorm or something with "running at my university ".   So he might be wanting to mine on "free" electricity.  If this is true look at asics that are used and do some ROI math.  Also look into sound and heat.  Some you honestly would not want to mine with if your in some one room dorm room type space.

I've seen some really nice school housing and some really old housing so I'm not sure what OP has.
