I suggest not to pay too much attention to the charts. it's just pump & dump. it may spike up, and it may spike down. the volume has lost over 50% in the last days on cryptsy. it just looks like no "regular" ppl want to buy at those prices. so we might have small 10-15satoshi windows to trade with. but it may also be, that the big guys dump soon, to cash out, because the market is too slow atm.
A bigger problem is, yes, that this is a unregulated market, which means that whales (could) manipulate the price very fast and quick, but nevertheless Ive found out that TA's is very applicable in cryptos. Ive been doing this for bitcoin, with much succeed and for the past days for doge, and mostly the TA's correspons to the charts. I think many whales uses TA's (doh!), but then there's those greedy bastards that dump and pump for quick dollars. Not really good for the market. And we just rocketed past 190. wonder where this will leave us.   The toy of people who think they are smarter than hamsters. Technical analysis. Proven wrong 1000 times per month for cryptos in the wall observer threads. ya i think so, just hold, that's it. very simple for cryptos Technical Analysis? Hmm I didn't think it would work for an unregulated market where coins are still being actively mined and dumped. Wouldn't that be a huge stumbling block in any forecasting activities? It doesn't. Most people that have done trading based on TA have lost lots of money lately. You can't predict a 10% dump based on some bad news from Russia or a avalanche of buy orders after a company adopting cryptos. |

But to do so would be theft because the centralized authority who facilitates the transactions has deemed me the owner of the account. No such authority gives people the same right over their BTC addresses. Is there a central authority who deemed me the owner of my cat? But stealing it from me is still theft  . Let me clarify that I understand how the asymmetric key signing process works. I am looking from a legal standpoint--how can you assign ownership of a BTC address to a person?
When I obtain a debit card, I have exclusive ownership over the use of the debit card address and the funds of that address because the bank (a centralized authority where the money is held) agrees that I (a person) own them. With BTC though, people randomly generate a private key to use and the person's identity is not attributed to that address in any explicit manner.
How can there be ownership in a system where there is anonymity? For instance, if no bank accounts had names attributed to them and people simply made transactions based on whether or not they had a pass-phrase or key to a certain account then how can someone claim that another person, for example, steals from them?
This question came to mind when thinking about people generating private keys based on phrases like brainwallet.org does. If someone generates a private key with a phrase that happens to already be in use (and has a positive balance) then how is it stealing for the newcomer to move those BTC to a secure address?
Is ownership over an address justified in a homesteading kind of manner in where the first person to use the address is the owner of that address? For some reason that seems unsatisfactory to me.

Probably , ....sucks , probably. But with the recent wave of newbies claimed to have been robbed just to get some sympathy and free doge .. I find it harder and harder to believe those stories. Im not a newbie i have dedicated money into my setup and have been mining since late 2013, its annoying to think you would believe im lying when i have lost a full days worth of coins, i do pay a fucken power bill. i am not happy is there any explanation for this how can this happen ? If you're using windows , lots of explanations. How about you give some info what wallet/sys you're using? Windows 8.1 I just upgraded to Doge QT 1.5 last night after the block reindex i sent my wallet from my pool all coins for that day. around 1am then instead of waiting for it to confirm i went to sleep. Woke up early like 3 hrs ago and only turned my pc on now. Open doge QT and it says 0.0 balance but the strange part is, it looks to have been sent from my wallet while my PC was off . =/ How. I've lost almost 40,000 worth of coins. -OK so if i add encryption it should be ok ? Encryption is a must. Also you'll need a full system scan before using you're computer again. Also all your addresses are compromised so forget about them. And , if you can't switch from windows , and you don't have another computer , think about getting a wmware wks only for this purpose. Fk. I think my PC should be fine, might of been because my wallet was backed on dropbox =/ ah what an idiot . doge was a joke coin and worth nothing so it was more a thrill when i first started and didn't see a need for encrypting a wallet worth nothing  ...
