Cricket has changed so much after t-20 and it's really tough for new generation fast bowlers to reach or even touch such milestones. 150+ test and 600 wickets are not easy. If by any chance cricket boards taking care of their bowlers financially and they are playing only test format then some bowlers has some chance atleast. English bowlers has edge over others as they play 10+ test every year.
If some of the fast bowlers want to play 150 plus test matches, then they need to stop playing the shorter formats. As JSRAW pointed out, very few teams play more than 10 test matches a year. So if someone wants to reach that milestone, then he needs to play continuously for 15 years and at the same time he needs to be included in the squad. Under current circumstances, it is very unlikely that any of the younger players may reach that milestone. It is very difficult to play for 15 consecutive years and stay connected to the team uninterruptedly. it is really hard because test players are often injured. so, they can't play all the series. on the other hand, teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are not even completing 5 test matches in a year. so, it is just impossible for their players to reach such milestones. |

This Premier League season will start on 12th September 2020 and will finish on 23rd May 2021 if Covid allows for normal schedule.

Conducting a cricket match in India is highly not possible at the moment due to covid, that is why they moved their IPL to UAE so I don't think there will be any match/series for MSD retirement and also MSD doesn't want it that is why he announced his retirement silent unexpected way, via old movie song with all his cricket memories. I still could not fully understand why the IPL is moved to UAE as the matches are taking place without any audience and it can be conducted in India without any audience as well if there is a support from the state government. What i assume is that they are playing in a neutral country so that no one is having any home advantage and if they conduct inside India the travel restrictions might be the issue. If the BCCI can request the permission to conduct a series for MSD then i do not think that the government will not reject that offer and moreover the PM already sent a note to congratulate MSD and Raina and i think they will bend these restrictions for a match. I had posted about this a few days back. There are multiple reasons. And contrary to what others expect, the primary reason is related to taxes. There is no taxation in the UAE and therefore both the BCCI and the franchises can save an additional 20% to 30% of their profit. Second reason is that the UAE remains a hub of sports bookies. Some of the franchises such as the CSK are closely linked to high profile bookies. But in the end, this is going to cause a revenue loss for the Indian government. BCCI has tried their best to held IPL in this year and they have succeeded too. Actually, BCCI wanted to held IPL on this year just only for making money purpose. You know UAE is the perfect place to held IPL on all side. coronavirus infection here is much less than India. on the other hand, BCCI does not have to pay any tax to UAE government. Which ground is better and beneficial for the teams?
As far as I know, UAE has 3 grounds - Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Sharjah has a very small ground, even mishits go for sixes. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have bigger grounds. When it was decided that IPL will be hosted in UAE, I read somewhere that it all comes to who plays spin better. Because we are going to have 50+ matches in 3 grounds and we all know that UAE has extremely hot conditions, so the pitchs get worn out very fast. A dry and worn out pitch is definitely going to support spinners. So, once the tournament progresses, its all about who plays the spin better. Emm, unfortunately you are wrong. Actually, UAE has 11 cricket ground, you will know more about that on Wikipedia. Though they’ve 11 cricket ground but the IPL took place in three field. You are right that, this pitch is convenient for spinners. That’s why they can get extra support. on the other hand, you may know that, UAE's cricket ground is not that much big. so, we can expect that we will see some higher scores match in this IPL.
