5121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 21, 2022, 06:54:46 AM
There are many solutions bitcoin has come to offer a d the world is benefiting from it right from time, what the government or central authorities cannot give is freedom in handling our finances, this is the major reason Satoshi Nakamoto remain ever commited to the research on his work on bitcoin until he finally got it launched in 2009, and ever since then, alot of benefits have emancipated from the introduction and bitcoin had ever remain the most valuable digital currency, asset, store of value and investment to go for, alot of opportunities have also come forth through this such ad employment, ease of cross boarder fees, centralized system, delay in transaction, abuse on privacy, low security, inflation, challenge of bulkiness, KYC challenges just to mention few using p2p on the decentralized network of blockchain.
I like to read the benefits attached to Bitcoin as you have elaborately stated them, it often reminds me of the old times when nothing could be transacted financial without governments and other third parties' involvement (banks, employees and others). That said, the most frustrating part is that in those years, I solely depended on bank wire transfers for my international transactions because debit cards were not working in my country then. Frequently, I painstakingly parted ways with between $25-39 for a single transaction that would be received between 2-5 days. But now, Bitcoin has put a stop to that, such transactions could now be completed in a few minutes with just $0.15. Awesome!
5122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 21, 2022, 06:42:39 AM
Markets behave like this. Bull or bear, you can cease the opportunity to benefit. But patience is what is required. Many traders act out of greed and lose good opportunities. Buy at dips and hold till the price rises is still the best strategy
There is no way bullish and bearish times would cease from the market, you have to know that, and also know that opportunities are present in the two. I emphasised on that because you seem sentimental here, you claim that one should buy the dip, but you didn't add the opportunity in the bullish market where one could sell the peak.

Both buy and sell buttons are there for reasons, and any true market would have their both buy and sell moments for profit earning.
5123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Bitcoin Achieves Guinness World Record Titles on: October 20, 2022, 09:32:48 AM
Bitcoin had come to stay so it popularity is very much sure. For bitcoin to enter the Guinness World
book of Records then that means BTC has broken the chains in which people are saying that bitcoin will not last or if bitcoin fall or stopped like LUNA. All the thinkings of people are gone therefore, the bitcoiners need to be celebrating the good development. World bitcoin celebration day will be map out very soon to celebrate the giant of Cryptocurrencies bitcoin. The next thing to do by bitcoiners is the sensitization of bitcoin to all corner of the localities. Guinness world of record is a prestige book where sensitive things are kept.
Once again thank you for bringing this good news.
Nice expression! But strangely, this doesn't come to me as a surprise though it is a welcome development. I don't know why it took the actors and deciders of the Guinness world records this long to bestow the award on Bitcoin. It is what I see as long overdue, there is no controversy here, it's much deserving. However, it is to the shame of the anti-Bitcoin people and countries, it is a matter of time before they would be forced to adopt it to the fullest. Else, they will miss out.
5124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins? on: October 20, 2022, 09:07:52 AM
Bitcoin not even comparable to Altcoins , though it can be considered as investment coins also but Bitcoin si too strong to be compared to altcoins.

And I am always supporting Bitcoin against all altcoins so just INVEST IN BITCOIN now matter what happens.

I may have holding some altcoins But BITCOIN IS ALWAYS MY FIRST CHOICE ..
I have the same logic, even though I invest into ETH and BNB as well for token reasons because I like the idea that they are the father of some projects and many tokens are listed on their chain, which could give them power so I have nearly 30% of my coins in eth and bnb, I still hold 50%+ in bitcoin because I believe that no matter what happens to the market, bitcoin will always be strong and will always worth something. That’s my understanding of bitcoin, and how I think it will play out in the future for sure.

This is of course just my idea, doesn't mean that it will be a right idea, maybe I am wrong and other coins will go up more, but I feel more safe this way.
Of course, it's your idea, and I'm telling you now that it's the right idea. It is good for every investor to diversify their portfolio, unlike some that are extremists about Bitcoin. It's all about making money, and Bitcoin and Altcoins have their peculiarities and seasons, one should learn how to outsmart them and maximize their earning potential rather than sticking to one alone.

Having about 50% investment in Bitcoin and the rest of about 50% in Altcoins is a very good plan.
5125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zero KYC tolerance gambling platforms on: October 20, 2022, 08:40:34 AM
Is KYC verification very important to crypto gambling websites or this has something to do with their regulations rule? Where can one gamble with zero verification requirements?

I think that pretty much every industry would rather not have to deal with regulations if given the choice. It takes their time and costs them money to develop solutions. Not to mention additional staff to enforce these solutions. So I doubt they do it because they like to go through additional steps to run their businesses. You have to be legal if you want to stay in business though, so it is what it is.
As much as I love to do my KYC to avoid problems, I still avoid the casinos that would allow me to deposit without it so that they could disturb me later. Such practice annoys me sincerely, and I want you to know that many of them are under jurisdictions where gambling regulations are weak, they only use KYC to cover up. And some only registered without a regulator but still ask for your KYC because they are looking for accounts to block and money to steal, not that they care about any law.
5126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 20, 2022, 08:32:15 AM
But talk of the day seems to be coming in from Manchester after the world saw Ronaldo leave the pitch early and everyone is criticizing his actions . But to be honest, you can't be the best player and not play football, secondly if you can't play the big games and coach wants to play you in matches against teams that aren't well known to the world its always going to bruise his ego and this is ETH fault as his not talking to CR700 about his role in his game plan .
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I thought it was only me that was concerned about the unfair treatment meted to C.Ronaldo in Man U. He is seriously underutilized this season and this has not happened since the start of his career, so it is hurting to experience this when he is almost about to say goodbyes to football.

As if you read my mind, I equally blame Erik ten Hag as C. Ronaldo is a quality player that needs to be appreciated. He wanted to leave earlier, but the guy blocked it and persuaded him to stay for the season to the detriment of what he is doing to him now, trying to build a squad without Ronaldo.
5127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 20, 2022, 08:22:56 AM
I must say that my answers to the above poll are two, but the OP does not allow that. I would have loved to choose both "Complete KYC during the registration and leave the possibility of being asked for KYC when requesting withdrawals or after big wins" because some casinos are tricky and annoying, thinking they are smart. Some would tell you from the beginning to complete your KYC, which is more proper, but most would lure you into gambling without a KYC but forced it on you after a small or big win. Can you decode the psychology behind that? If you can't provide it, you lose your money, while some will reject the KYC many times to frustrate you of not getting your winning or delay it. But they can receive your big deposit without KYC.
5128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: October 19, 2022, 04:05:29 PM
Never try to exploit loopholes in casino. Casino owners are not stupid people. More often than not, the initial capital may even get forfeited and these are the bonus hunters will end up with the nothing. So if you manage to find a loophole, don't try it too often!
And this is what we must not do to break the casino system because they will aware about that and will check it as soon as possible. But we can try to search for the vulnerabilities and report them to fix the bug. It will help them to develop better security to protect their site and also help them to grow the site to be recommended casino.
I also feel for those casinos that had been cheated in the past by many gamblers, I can't blame them as well because no one is perfect and no matter how careful you're, once a mistake is  bound to happen then avoiding becomes inevitable, though some of the gamblers too have some reason to back up their actions that they had never been lucky with such opportunity, and have been loosing bet despite all attempts to win, now is the nest time to make thier own recovery of wasted efforts and money which is bad and unfair as well, both the casinos and gamblers were supposed to create a mutual friendliness that will coexist between themselves that they both work at each others interest not to harm anyone.
However, it will not be good if we keep trying to exploit the vulnerabilities in casinos and instead use them for our own benefit because sooner or later, the casinos will surely find out what we are doing. Moreover, the casino will do something with our account, whether blocking our account or holding the money we want to withdraw. Moreover, if that happens, we will regret what we have done but if we try to complain to the casino, they will not allow our account to play gambling and do not care about us because we have violated their rules.

I hardly believe that there are major vulnerabilities in gambling sites if not for hacking, and this occurs once in a while. With good security features and precautions, the risk is lowered to some reasonable extent though still susceptible, no doubt. But reading here that many vulnerabilities exist in gambling is strange to me. Maybe what you are referring to as vulnerability is a mere approach to gambling that is a weakness of the house. I don't think this would cause an account blockage without payment if the casino is fair. Only that many of them will give silly excuses not to give you your money on detecting you outsmarted them which I don't think is legal on their path too. We often don't know our rights or have the money to fight for it.

NEW TOPIC: Court forfeits ‘Yahoo Boy’s’ N40m Bitcoin to FG

Crime doesn't pay and never will. Money wey go give peace of mind even if na one naira better pass 40 million naira wey you go get wey you not go fit drink water drop cup. I go give una the summary of the gist wey I read for The Nation online newspaper

  • The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the forfeiture of 1.982, 022, 84 units of Bitcoin worth N40million, to the Federal Government.
  • The cryptocurrency, according to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), belongs to one Alkali Naziru Tanimu, suspected of involvement in internet fraud, locally known as Yahoo Yahoo.
  • Justice Nicholas Oweibo, who made the order, also forfeited to the government an iPhone 12 Pro Max; iPhone 7, and all funds found in account numbers 0301510085 and 2174982616, domiciled in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and UBA Plc, respectively, said to belong to Tanimu.
  • Investigation suggested that the suspect was into dating scams where he poses as, and used the picture an Arab woman to defraud unsuspecting victims on the internet.

Now imagine the sleepless night wey this person don pass through to collect the N40m. I have always been curious as to what the FG, EFCC always do with the monies, cars and properties seized from internet fraudsters. Does any one have any idea?

5130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: October 19, 2022, 06:45:03 AM
don't sell make sure you hold it for the next 4 years, because if you sell it now you will definitely regret it later,
Don't sell? What if the market continues to fall? I guess we should be careful with the advice we give, we should rather encourage people to speculate for proper guidance on what they have to do. Some people had mistaken others this way when the market was still higher, yet it sold heavily. Regular speculation is the key, BTC could surprise anyone, though I'm beginning to be bullish.

a lot of crypto holders have the same sentiments as they strongly believe that in the near future, btc will have good market performance. if you are long enough in this market, you won't think that btc will reach its end rather it will go stronger. and with that in mind, you will think that the price will increase in the coming years. we may be stagnant with the increase this year, but there's hope in the coming years as adoption is growing stronger. but thinking of the low price level this year, we can't determine if this will happen or if we will get out of this before the year ends.
Well said! I'm not a fan of some practices by many BTT members, which includes some of what you explained, yet I agree that it is time that it started moving higher. The crypto has probably bottomed already for 2022 according to my long-term analysis having sold from the 2021 high of approximately $69,000. This might be a preparatory ground for 2023 in which I suspect a bullish focus by investors and traders since the inflation that mostly caused the fall has been priced in already, it has done its worst in 2022.

In my opinion 2022 Bitcoin will be very volatile because inflation is happening in the world,
including in the United States which causes Bitcoin prices to fall,
there are even rumors about MTGox that in 2022 they will share lost Bitcoins to users,
of course this will result in Bitcoin prices dump again, so be careful.

Market in 2022 there is a negative trend and until now there is no sign for rising, this is a sign that in 2022 repeats the bad trends that always occur every 4 years after Bitcoin reaches ATH, there is no many choices than hold and be patient because if we sell now of course of course we lose money.
The global economy is not doing well. Moreover, there is a threat of economic recession in the coming year. At the moment Bitcoin is not simply bullish but have the possibility to get long bearish. Again, there is a big risk of losing money if Bitcoin is sold at this time. The most reliable strategy at this time would be to buy bitcoins and hold them for a long time. If Bitcoin investors follows a 4-year cycle then of course it would be profitable.
This is a piece of good advice for long-term investors, but 4 years is too long for regular traders, it is the holders that could be that patient. When I consider the things of BTC, I consider it in both HODL and futures trading. For HODL, you have advised well, but for futures trading, I will advise swing trading, for now, good support and resistance strategy that detects early swing patterns should be able to guide any trader as the year runs to an end.
5131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's Price be affected by this? on: October 19, 2022, 06:20:26 AM
I must say that I was surprised by this question, Elon Musk and Twitter's deal does not have a direct link with Bitcoin. What must have been confusing you is the reaction of the crypto when he (Elon Musk) tweets, but this deal in question has nothing to do with Bitcoin for now. More reaction could be triggered only if Elon Musk links the deal with BTC as a future plan in such a way that could either affect the coin negatively or positively.

A neutral takeover of a microblogging company can't hurt or help Bitcoin.
5132  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Exchange With Unlimited SWIFT Withdrawal on: October 19, 2022, 05:54:19 AM
Is there a reliable Bitcoin exchange with unlimited withdrawals via SWIFT bank transfer?
I don’t know where are you from but i can suggest you to use p2p trading . you can use Binance p2p it is very first and there are active buyers available . you can sell your crypto there instantly by any Payment method like mobile banking , paypal , Bank Transfer by NPSB etc..
The question of the OP is straightforward enough, he needs an answer on "an exchange with unlimited withdrawals via SWIFT bank transfer." I believe P2P is not the right answer because apart from the fact that it is not a Swift Bank transfer, how many of them engaging in it would be able to complete a transaction of $20M for example? So, the OP knows why we made it unlimited, but I don't think such exists as of today. I have even helped the OP to search the internet and also asked questions from the crypto guru I know to avoid mistakes, but to no avail.
5133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 19, 2022, 05:38:40 AM
Bitcoin has come to help and stop most of the overbearing and controlling attitudes of banks and governments to bring more equity to investments and payments. But I don't agree with most of what you have expressed above, while some are just being over-emphasised by you as the world's financial activities have been working well even without BTC. What BTC does mainly without overstressing things as you did are two and are as follows;

1. It helps against the centralization of its financial activities thereby giving more privacy and higher authority over your money/assets.
2. It lowers transactional fees to a bearest minimum.

Anything aside these will only give room for debates.

5134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 18, 2022, 03:20:49 PM
It wouldn't be fair to blame Lewandowski entirely for the team's performance, it is a team game and when the team is not playing well you have to blame the entire team for it not just singling out one player to put blames on probably because he forced a move away from the club when he was needed. I believe he has that choice as every other player and has his reason so let’s be fair in our judgements if we must judge.
Benzema won UEFA Champion League trophy last year despite have dometic league and Lewandowski achievement with domestic league only and why he has settle second position on Ballon d'or announcement last night. Its have been fair the winner of Ballon d'or in this year what impressive performance from Benzema become top scorer at Champion League and domestic league, not any crucial announcement about the winner of Ballon d'or. Not blame with Lewandowski but on 2021 have controversial with  Lionel Messi the Ballon D'or winner than Lewandowski have collect many trophies than Messi.
It must be him. I meant benzema has been winning so many trophies regularly with real madrid compared with lewandoski. This can also give additional points to the benzema over lewandowski. This player benzema has been always become consistent with real madrid.
It can be seen from how many goals that's always be made by him in any seasons. that proves if he was player that cares to keep his performance. It's not only that. Benzema was also contributing so much to the team.
I think he deserves it for sure.
I don't expect controversy on the Ballon d'Or award bestowed on Benzema, the guy truly deserves it. This is unlike the last one that was given to Messi that's plainly underserving by many people including me. Lewandowski missed the chance last year, that's his luck, and Benzema/Real Madrid outshines him and his present club, which is part of the points they would have used in choosing him. Next year is there, the guy as a new transfer to Barca, still has a chance to win the award with his present performance. He should try on the Polish side too as this is the year of the world cup.
5135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 18, 2022, 03:04:10 PM
Almost all of those who responded to this topic do not want to be influenced by a celebrity when it comes to their own money to be used for gambling. And I don't think celebrities care about us gamblers on gambling platforms
of cryptocurrency.

And you're right dude unless we also like the games he's promoting. But even so, at the end of the day, it's still our money that we will lose, not a celebrity.
I think it's high time we differentiated between a celebrity and a role model. As for me, there is nothing a celebrity would do that would entice me, 'I am just me.' But for a role model, you might be caught unaware if they are engaging in gambling and you care to watch their lifestyles more often. One day you might want to give it a try.

Regardless of what influences you, one should be careful of influencers, 'don't smell what you don't want to eat.' If you do, you might not know the time what you dislike will be your usual habit.
5136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I need help on Option Trading on: October 18, 2022, 02:52:31 PM
Option trading is not a place for people who need help. If you need help then you shouldn't be trading options.
I guess your reply was borne out of the subject because I never said I needed someone to train me about Option trading. I only need people to suggest alternative exchanges to Binance that offers a quality Option trading service for me.

I can only give advice to stay away from option trading because option trading is the same as gambling,
I know Binance also provides this trading feature but it would be better if you avoid it,
not just like gambling but you can lose all your capital there if you trade wrong.
If people could engage in real gambling, why should I and those cashing out from Option trading steer clear? I believe that some advice is not necessary, Option trading is about the person in question. I that is yearning for a good exchange that offers Option trading must have been earning from traditional Option trading.

Once you have a good strategy that works well for a specific time expiration, stick to it. Also, it is the responsibility of anyone to manage their money and the risk they take, which is equally important for any leveraged trading.

You should know that there are few regular traditional traders here than hodlers. Those who even trade like to stick mainly to Spot and Futures, not even dabbling into Forex or Binary. So, don't be offended that your quest hasn't been properly attended to. I steer clear of Options as I consider it pure gambling. Maybe others do too.
Thank you for this reply, I myself have noticed this after no satisfactory reply from anyone for about a month now. I believe that crypto is still young and the competition by exchanges will later force them into offering Option trading, though might take time. Mind you, option trading is reasonable gambling if you are a good speculator unlike real gambling (gaming, dice rolling and others).
5137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: October 18, 2022, 07:51:22 AM
The Brazilian team is well prepared. All the players in their team are playing in good clubs. They are well prepared for the World Cup. Also, players like Neymar are the captain of the Brazil team which will instill confidence in their team.
You have observed well about the Brazilian team, they are indeed ready for the world cup based on what I have seen in their last matches. But I like to let you know that Neymar will not do more than himself, and I don't even like singling out star players only, it is all about the collective contributions of the team in question. He will do his best as their captain, it is left to their fate on the pitch as no club would deliberately want to lose. His motivation will not kill the morale of other teams like Germany, England and Spain which I will choose multiple times over Brazil.
5138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 18, 2022, 07:33:58 AM
I think you are describing the martingale strategy. I would not recommend doing this with large sums of money as you will definitely find the strategy to be extremely disappointing. It sounds good on paper but the real world does not like to see probability go our way. Especially with a house edge. In the end you lose everything the same way as newbies do. By doubling down on a bad streak. Or even a good streak.

He is indeed describing the Martingale. But the main problem with that strategy is not the one you mention, the main problem is that with that strategy, we risk an increasing capital, doubling every time we lose to gain in net the initial bet. Risking more and more, doubling each time, to win a little is a sure recipe for disaster.
It's strange for me to read the term "martingale" from you, I thought it is a term reserved for trading only. Nevertheless, it is a risky approach that might make one win so much but a little bad luck might cause the whole capital to be lost. This is senseless, dice rolling and gambling at large should not be done without adequate calculations and plans that will limit the risk exposure. The approach is motivated by greed and greed always puts gamblers in trouble.
5139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 18, 2022, 07:22:35 AM
If we were given the option to have a bear market or a bull market we would have chosen the bull market to stay forever.
Only a novice person would choose a bullish run forever, this does not reflect the dynamism of the market itself. Bullish and Bearish moments make any market interesting and there can't be a perfect slope in the market so that the buyers and sellers could always have their fair share at their different seasons irrespective of the side that owns the sentiment at that time. Specifically, Bitcoin will always be bullish or bearish at times, and traders/holders could make their money on both sides. They could hold it while it is rising and use spot trading to sell it while it is bearish in trend.
5140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 13 years ago... on: October 18, 2022, 07:14:56 AM

Makes me kind of asking myself where I was and what was I doing at this time 13 years ago  Huh Huh

How does this make you feel?

I know right. Lol!
I feel like not having my first Btc in 2009 is the biggest financial failure in my whole life lol. I mean I can reconsider my self and understand that I was just a college student during that year. But unfortunately, I've heard Bitcoin before and did give the slightest attention to check out about cryptocurrency 2016.
What a crazy journey Bitcoin have it. No wonder why some of the early adopters specifically in 2009 or 2010 have forgot their wallet, some are even junked their hardware wallet thinking Bitcoin could never be this massive.

It's really regret for those who learned about Bitcoin in 2009 but didn't hold it. At that time many had enough money but didn't collect Bitcoin because they couldn't trust it. Today they feel that their golden period has passed. Now those people only regret. Time once gone never comes back. So we should give importance to the present and get better in the future.
I'm one of the people that regret not buying Bitcoin at lower levels around 2014, but not in 2009. No one should blame themselves for not dealing with Bitcoin in the first 2 years, after all the coin was nothing to appreciate by then. But after some years while it has been gaining recognition, I believe the risk is worth it. It is those that knew it between 2012-2014 and have the money to buy some of the coins but did not that will regret it the most.

I have dusted this off myself as life goes on. It is never too late if you are a good daily and long-term speculator. I make my regular money through BTC now.
