5122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: September 06, 2015, 04:47:21 PM
So i just fired up my Tek wallet (v2.2.1.0-gf96a5a-TEK. ) for 1st time in like 3 weeks. figured i let coins age a little as they werent mature. And holy crap! I had 11 orphans come in (like 200% of my balance) then 5 accepted stakes ( about 50% of my balance). just wondering is that normal? doesnt seem so. Not complaining about 50% mind you, just curious to know if latest wallet version would make any diff? Was a bummer to see so many orphans in a row.

I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I got less orphans with the newest wallet than I did before. But if you do get them, just run repairwallet and it'll clear them out and you'll be able to stake the mature coins again.

Ok thanx, so now would it not make sense to just close wallet for next 30 days or so? i.e, is there any gain by leaving wallet open when coins are not mature?

As a long time lurker on this thread, (started reading pretty much on the day it was created I think) just for shitz n'giggles I decided to browse way back to to the earlier 1st 300 or so posts in the original thread. It is a truly fascinating read to see how this protracted scam played out and unfolded over this past year. The fact it lasted this long never ceases to amaze me. And in the context of knowing what is known now, some of the old comments are priceless.I now sometimes wonder if not for this thread, the data dump leak, and the great investigative work done by Paul Revere,Suchmoon to name a few, how much longer it could have gone on and how many more "suckers" (thats being polite) could have been ruined financially. The sheer credulity of some of those hashtalkers was mind boggling. Many greedy naive youngsters there,no doubt. Homero knew that much.
Those familiar cliches , "you can't make this shit up",or "when is the movie comin out?" etc, are well worth repeating, because in this case, they are entirely appropriate.
And on top of all that the daily read of the forum was/is always good for laugh or 2.
Now hopfully in the final chapter of this  slow train wreck, we will see justice served on all those responsible. That would be a fitting end indeed, tho I get the feeling this chapter is going to be long and  drawn out just like the scam was/is. Can't wait for the homero mug shot meme. That oughta be good for a chuckle or 2 too.

Heres to one of the best threads on Bitcointalk. thanx Suchmoon and to all who contribute intelligently. Its good to see rationality in an ocean of ignorance and greed called crypto.

Quite frankly I think Paul just lost interest since homero has gone MIA and not in jail (yet). either that or maybe xpy.io  gifted him one of those
prime controler flex hybrid thingies in return for him not to post mean things, graphs and extensive block chain investigations with
troll faces circles and arrows everywhere. kinda miss that actually.

GAW Miners Lawsuit Ends With $340k Default Judgement [coindesk.com]
( This is the Mississippi Power Company suit )

Looks like this is how it starts, now that there is a default payment and people are taking their money the rest will come forth as well. Coindesk is the highest used Crypto news site with a huge amount of traffic hammers home the truth that it is a big event and court cases are happening over use of Altcoins.

as if Gaw has $340,000 cash lying around.
who the hell can they go after for that kinda doe?
maybe they'll settle for a few million xpy....

This...
"Representatives for GAW Miners and Josh Garza did not immediately respond to requests for comment"   LMFAO!!!
5140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: August 07, 2015, 08:58:25 PM
never open the RPC port on your router ! are you a fool ? :p RPC = "Remote Procedure Call" except if you want to be remotely withdrawed ;p

Of course I'm a fool! I'm trying to set up solo mining!  LOL

Actually, opening all the ports was a move of desperation. Nothing I've done has worked, so I tried the shotgun method.  That did not work either, so it must be something else getting in the way.

I've pretty much given up now, since even after trying everything suggested (and more), there's been no change.  I'm still not able to get CudaMiner to even really 'attempt' to mine.   Undecided

You're trying to solo mine from one pc to wallet on another pc? 127.0.0.1 is not going to work in that case. Try temporary disabling firewalls and internet security software on both pcs.

No. Wallet and Miner are on the same PC.

try this...
Create a new shortcut to the qt wallet. right click on it then click properties. append the
target path with --->  " --server "   (no quotes). close wallet and reopen with this edited shortcut

probably no help but cant hurt to try. good luck
its what i was told to do to solo-mine diamond coin. .it works for me. just found my 1st solo block yesterday. all of 8cents worth. yee haaa!

I've been using the -server tag from the start, but just to be thorough, I tried it with 2 dashes, like you have written.  No change. Still 404 not found.  :-(

for my 750ti  I needed a  "T5x24" (no quotes) in the batch file like this:

cudaminer.exe -o ***** -u ***** -p y -i 0 -l T5x24 -m 1 -C 1.  didnt work without it.

Now that was for pool mining. Not sure if this applies to solo mining scrypt.
I'm solo mining Diamond ATM using CCminer Groestl algo and the T5X24 is not in my batch.
Just throwin it out there as Im really curious to know what the issue is. Sounds like you have everything covered. Be interested to know what it is/was if/when you fix. good luck.
