5121  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BitDouble.io Green Train Contest on: December 05, 2016, 10:12:37 PM
This contest is Actually contest less and a way to gain profit more from the participants. And with -ev profit
Let's use some maths here. There is 1 in 15 chances for a green to appear and since you have to have 3 consecutive wins, the chances of happening so is (15*15*15) = 3375

Every bet must be a at least 1 mbtc so according to probability one need to bet 1 mbtc 3375 times resulting in total stake of 3375 mbtc. Now here since the house is taking a crazy 6.667% fee, the user will in loss of (3375 * 0.06667) = 225 mbtc before he gets his hands on the 100 mbtc pot
Never seen such promo before where one have to loss more than what reward is

It's called gambling, buddy. When did a promotion have to be +ev for the players? After all, everything is at the owner's discretion. They don't /have/ to run any promotion.

Part of the reason why many people gamble is for entertainment - that's why so many people play at slots even though the house edge is massive. It's entertaining. Same with this, really. The whole CS:GO case-style mini-roulette wheel is entertaining.

Plus, if you were to gamble at bitdouble.io regardless, this is just a little extra to decrease the house edge. What regular player wouldn't enjoy that?
5122  Other / Meta / Re: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version) on: December 04, 2016, 08:30:27 PM
Lol if it's spam then why was it not deleted by mods?

Survival bias; there are more spammy posts - far worse than yours. Mods are also busy and there's a backlog of reports AFAIK.

I'm in a fixed rate campaign so it wouldn't even be beneficial for me to spam

Untrue, since all you need to do is reach the quota and that'll be the end of it - there's no point wasting extra time strenuously composing a post that is of high quality when you can simply recycle content.

whereas this typical broken English yoshit spammer can't even blurt out what he's trying to say if he tried. Care to pick that apart?

If what marlboroza had posted was at the very least understandable (which it was) then that's fine. The information is out there and the discussion should be ended. There is no point of repeating what another person said, unless clarification is necessary. Even in that case, why not resort to a PM if you actually wish to help the OP?

No matter how you look at it, my post has more information, written properly and actually helped the op.

Unknown - no indication of solely your reply helping OP.

I obviously didn't read his post because it wasn't worth my time. I hate reading gibberish on this forum.

How do you know if a post contains gibberish without reading it?  Roll Eyes

I think things would be worse if they held a similar "standard" as you do

Although being more strict doesn't always make the majority happy (most of the time it doesn't) it will improve the quality of the forum. Would you rather have a more relaxed signature campaign manager or a more strict one?

Even though we currently probably have a middle-ground, I still think having managers cracking down more often is favorable for the forum in general.
5124  Economy / Reputation / Re: bluefirecorp possibly hacked on: December 03, 2016, 08:58:37 PM
I have tagged bluefirecorp as possibly being hacked.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=20802
I received a PM from a user quoting a PM where bluefirecorp offered to sell his account.  The email address has been recently changed.

I don't have time this morning to review posting habit changes.  Can anyone verify/discredit this?

All good, but can you sign an address? Here's a list of your previously posted addresses:

In addition, activity update times are approximately every other Tuesday. Here are the actual timestamps for when they are updated:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dDySMB2lsOIIkUXuax2rXL30gv656E4xTsFcC2zQHkg/pubhtml

Note that you must post at least once in an activity period to gain the potential activity. For example, if you had posted 100 posts this activity period and none in the subsequent ones, you would not rank up. However, if you did post on the next one, all the potential activity would turn directly into activity; the 14 activity would be added to your account (updated after every ~30 mins) since you have enough posts to satisfy its maximum.

If this guy speaks Russian at home and cannot speak English fluently then is it a bad thing he doesn't post in English sections? Sounds counter intuitive to me

Sorry that there's a rule that requires you to post in multiple sections over the week. I sincerely apologize to all those who wish to join campaigns but cannot because they are in English.

I also feel self-pity for not being able to be a Chinese diplomat because I can't speak Chinese.

Actmyname, my man, that one sailed right over your noodle.  I think QS is saying it is in fact a good thing that peeps with a poor command of English don't post in the English section.   But who knows.  I can't claim to know what QS' s thought processes are, and sarcasm/sardonicism don't get received well on this forum.

Right. Perhaps if there were local board-based campaigns for the most common languages used by spammers, that would decrease the amount of poor English we see in the general sections? (Maybe. Probably not; hungry account farmers would simply create more)

Congratulations Actmyname, you got the prize of this contest really fast I was wondering how much time will took for someone and my best guess was almost >1 Day.
Well, the chances of getting red/black/even/odd 6 in a row is ~1% so it'll only take a few hours on average, probably less. I just got lucky Smiley

give an opportunity to someone to prove themselves innocent?

You just admitted you were guilty...

And he just apologized for it too which is invisible to most of you guys .

You idiots think you can come in here, do whatever you want, apologize and it's all better.   Undecided

"I'm sorry I ran a ponzi"

Of course! All is forgiven, now you can go ahead and run another one!

There is no justification. Apologies have no purpose when rules are clearly indicated.

'2FA'

FYI (in case that you're confused) Russian section counts as '1' section (regardless of those sub-boards.

Your campaing - your rules, of course.

As for me, I was on vacation posting on forum (it is not against your rules due to no minimum weekly posts required). And then after I return to the forum you treated the small amount of local posts as a "spam" before I have a chance to enjoy other sections.

Pfft. So, you expect us to believe that you are going to post in multiple sections when not even 10% of your posts are outside of the Russian board?

Let's take a look at your post history, too - from two weeks ago, you've been static in the Russian board apart from a Bitsler campaign application and your posts here.

Here's your English post section breakdown:

Micro Earnings: 12
Mining (Altcoins): 12
Services: 8
Project Development: 5
Altcoin Discussion: 5
Meta: 4
Games and Rounds: 3
Beginners & Help: 3
Service Discussion (Altcoins): 2
Service Discussion: 2
Marketplace (Altcoins): 2
CPU/GPU bitcoin mining hardware: 1
Mining software (miners): 1
Trading Discussion, Service Announcements, Web Wallets: 3 (total)

The sum of the ones that count is a disappointing 34 out of your total 743 posts. That's ~4.6%.

Reason you play on Primedice: Nostalgia; I don't play often here anymore, but it was my first time playing on a Bitcoin casino, and will always be special for that reason.

I tried that. The horizontal length of the tables do not match with each other. Smiley

Edit: I PMed Avirunes asking about how to do the codes. Hope we can get some help for the table.
Let me move the updated table in this post:
-snip-

Perhaps to fix that issue, you should add in a final empty column -- one that has the widest column's letters but invisible like so <--- like so. example with highlight

#ECEDF3 is the color; this should theoretically be the simplest brute-force way to resolve the problem. Example: Let's Talk About The Future would be an invisible phrase within an empty column in PNYC, FLUX, and CFNP.

Dark star i am jealous of your service :p
I also want to open up my service soon to fund loan but you what happened last time I used some of the funds in gambling and lost them then i thought lending here on this forum is not profitable then I analyze your thread and find actually it is profitable.

I also want to ask a thing from you where did you made your custom Bitcoin address i find some of the services which provide private keys of Manually generated 6 digits addresses but somehow I can't trust them.

Use Vanitygen: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

shorena should still be able to generate them for you (without compromising the private key) - their thread's OP (here) was last edited 6 days ago.

there is no guarantee that someone with "unlimited" btc stash ...khm...maybe even owner khm....
is monitoring bets and is betting opposite every big bet
how do I know it is fair, there is no chance to check it
Blockchain evidence, by looking at the bet addresses?

That's how you know it's fair. That's how you check it.
