The old thread is still open, you could have posted there if you had anything solid to track Pips into this. For Athertle: He got feedback regarding the issue on both accounts. It appears that this person has a history of leaving feedback for his own alts. It is recommended that you use escrow when dealing with this person. alt of burgerkill, which is a purchased account. has a history of leaving feedback for his own alts, take ratings on here with a grain of salt. Now what you're bringing foreward is that Pips left both those accounts feedback also. That was the main reason why he was suspected to be another alt back them. But as pointed out substrata, thats not enough to start pointing fingers. Just speculation but Pips might belong to him too. He has left feedback for both atherlete and burgerkill.
pips is a sold/bought account (refer to pips' trust feedback page), entirely possible. cant really point fingers without solid evidence though. As for a connection: The only address posted by Pips AFAIK is 12euutj3uhjX7FgGFZwh9GQandBnhujMLE. There are transactions between this address and the addresses held by Athertle, but there isn't a transaction connecting those addresses in a mutual wallet.

Did you PM shorena with the link to this thread so that he can explain his rating? Or did you PM shorena and try to talk about the rating in private? Yes I messaged So give him some time to reply.

How does it work from the viewpoint of investors? Is the profit or loss during that period be shared with the investors as usual? If that is the case, wouldn't investment be having a negative EV because of the 15% commission on profit?
Investors know we do this from time to time, they got informed early enough to move their funds. If they don't like it, they can pull out, we don't care about it. We even advise investors to do so if they don't want to take the risk.

Master-P is having some troubles so don't expect any payouts this week.
Its hardly the fault of those participating in the campaign now, is it? Vaguely reminds me of what Lutpin was saying. Well was it the campaign manager's fault for using a person who was trusted by the whole community as a person who was responsible for payments? Pretty sure, if the campaign manager himself tried to be an escrow some people would jump on the opportunity and give him a neg. Pretty sure it's not the campaign manager telling the people here they wont get paid, but this Cyaren guy. If he's the one behind the campaign, he should make sure the participants are paid (yeah, I know, paradox, giving them negs and then asking for their payment). After all it's not the users fault the runners behind the campaign got scammed by the escrow. Let me quote your best friend Quickseller for you here: I am surprised that the owner of the websites/companies that the sig campaigns were advertising for have not made any kind of announcement saying they will cover payouts as they are responsible for their participants getting paid at the end of the day.
|
|
|
Well unless the campaign manager specifically agreed to cover payments, or is otherwise holding funds to cover payments to participants, then there is no reason for campaign managers to pay participants out of their own pockets. They responsibility extends to managing the campaign and that is it.
I agree and don't think the managers should be the ones providing the funds. However, I think they should get in contact with the runners behind and encourage them to step foreward and honor all outstanding payments. After all I (for myself) think this is a task included in the responsibilities of a campaign manager. (I edited my previous reply to make my position more clear)

I am surprised that the owner of the websites/companies that the sig campaigns were advertising for have not made any kind of announcement saying they will cover payouts as they are responsible for their participants getting paid at the end of the day.
I advised mexxer contacting the owner of e-coin to ensure that they step foreward and cover the payouts. I also commented in yahoos "I'm desperate, what to do" thread with a similar advise (which seems to have been burried under the other replies). At the end of the day, this shouldn't been dealt with on costs of the participants.
|
|
|
I don't really see ore-mine "2092.36+ BTC paid" being dependant on community handouts to honor a ~1 BTC payout. To me it looks like the company owners that are paying for the campaigns are the ones that got scammed, not the managers or the participants. They should just cough up the money again to pay the participants as agreed in the first place. Or they can say "oh, we got scammed so were not paying you now", that I don't agree with. Those people have enough BTC to cover there losses in this situation with there extremely profitable gambling sites and such. word.

im still looking through the threads for proof, i havent seen anything conclusive though
So this signed message from an address staked by master-p in march didn't seem conclusive to you? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1306301.msg13378692#msg13378692
So how are you involved in all of this? The spammers never got paid by you, always by 'trusted escrow,' so why would they blame you when not getting paid? Why all the hubub? And again, Which sig campaigns are you 'managing'? And how does the coin you sold him figure into all of this?
You seem to have confused me ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Go back and read again. Hint: I'm not OP.
Can somebody estimate how much is the total amount of money scammed by master-P? Can't do that, but can tell you that he is holding 2 BTC, 2.2 BTC, 1.66 BTC and 2.8 BTC in escrow for the 4 campaigns I know that used him.
|
|
|
So yahoo62278, you're telling me the 'trusted escrow' holds all the money, and parcels it out to you when you need to make a payment? How does 'trusted escrow' know how much to send you? You tell him? Or does 'trusted escrow' also count posts? Curiouser and curiouser. Which sig campaigns are you 'managing'?
Would you shut up please? Obviously you either dont know shit about how escrows are used in signature campaigns or are just trolling. Either way, it doesn't benefit the thread. FYI: The manager sends payment information (including addresses and amounts) to the escrow holding the funds, who then broadcasts the transaction.
|
|
|
If I were in the situation you are in right now, I would contact the persons who stand behind the campaigns I manage. Explain the situation to them, ask them to honor all open payments and to decide whether or not they want to continue running a signature campaign and how they want to proceed, if. What you should not do is leaving the users in your campaigns behind without any payment, blaming everything on the escrow and moving on.
I agree that you shouldn't be held accountable as a hired campaign manager, however the persons who hired you should, and they should step foreward in this situation and try to come clean with everyone enrolled.

E-coin can't be blamed for all this. Agree to disagree. Depending on how they continue to sort out this, they can infact be blamed IMO. Hint: the start doesn't look that good. Probably, they can arrange for some compensation to all the members who participated here, including mesmer for managing it so well. They should value any outstanding payments/work that has been done for them. The participants are in no way to blame for this, they didn't select the escrow, they did their part of the contract, delivered their work, this shouldn't be done with on their expenses.

Please follow the One thread per site rule#TakingRevengeOnLutpin . Just kidding, this thread would've been deleted some time ago if I had reported it Yeah, because we're the ones having too many threads about our site... Anyways, this thread wasn't created by ourselves. Unless your thread is for a new site or is newsworthy Additionally, the title of this thread is slightly misleading as, in many cases, a site/person may be allowed to have multiple threads regarding the same site/game if the new topics are notable enough, as explained above.

I have contacted him regarding this , I wouldn't have my hopes high though, considering the campaign was already unsustainable for them. Apologies again, for any inconveniences . I for one lost my faith in bitcointalk escrows, only person I'm sticking with as an escrow(if possible) is shorena

Exactly what I was telling mexxer. Ecoin is bigger than this, they should have enough resources to honor the outstanding payments, given that they got any at all appreciation for their name and reputation.
I see what you're trying to say, I'll try contacting them(the person who I was managing the campaign for). Seems like he is in contact with the persons behind the campaign trying to sort this out. Lets see if atleast someone can come out of this clean. I am surprised that the owner of the websites/companies that the sig campaigns were advertising for have not made any kind of announcement saying they will cover payouts as they are responsible for their participants getting paid at the end of the day.

Both E-Coin campaigns have been stopped immediately due to the master-p obscurities. I apologize for the bad news , but the escrow for the campaign , i.e master-p seems to have "exit-scammed"[1]. As he was the only person who had access to the campaign funds, I'm sorry to say that the campaign will be discontinuing with no payments for the last period. -snip I apologize for the bad news , but the escrow for the campaign , i.e master-p seems to have "exit-scammed"[1]. THEY (or you) trusted the escrow. It is THEIR problem when the escrow fucks them over.
True, but you're contradicting yourself below. Sustanable or not, get out with a clean record.
You are perfectly aware of the fact that I myself am in an outstanding loan of ~0.6 BTC from you, still you ask? I ask the person behind this signature campaign to pay up everyone involved before closing down. I do not ask you, in your position as an hired signature campaign manager, to fulfill this payments. Ecoin is bigger than this, they should have enough resources to honor the outstanding payments, given that they got any at all appreciation for their name and reputation. Business between you and me, including our private balances, put aside. That's got nothing to do here.
