On those mentions above about possible damage then i couldnt say that it woudl really be just similar to boxing. When it comes to impact then bare hand or no foam type of hits could even give more
possible damage.
It looks like it's more aggressive than boxing, so are the long term injuries, because boxing athletes dodge many punches, while in slapping all the hits literally fully hit the adversary's face without any chance of minimizing the damage received. Slapping is mostly about resistance and strength. Boxing involves some other skills like dodge that are always useful when facing a big challenge.
Due to this fact a weaker boxing player can overcome a most powerful one if he uses a good strategy. The same doesn't apply to slapping, so it's also a more obvious game, easier to predict the results.

Blind and elderly people have difficulties in doing many things, dealing with bitcoin is the smallest of the problems they face in their daily life. These people have the support of caregivers for all their needs, what I believe may include dealing with bitcoin if someday it becomes a necessity.
~
let alone people with special needs and the elderly, even ordinary people definitely need time to use crypto. for most people, using crypto is quite difficult because there are many things to learn, from basic knowledge of crypto, how to exchange money from fiat to crypto, withdrawals to making fiat again, this is quite complicated and takes time to learn.
Yes, it can be really difficult to adopt bitcoin, especially for someone who is already used to deal with fiat every day during so many years. It's like that saying: old habits die hard.

so no matter how effective crypto is in facing the challenges of financial problems in the modern era, we still need paper money, instant payments, for ordinary people, yes ... so fiat and crypto will complement each other, not replace each other.
But I think paper money is already overcame, because debit and credit cards fully replace its function, without the risk for the person of being infected by virus through paper which goes in everyone's hands. As technology evolves some things need to be replaced, since they aren't useful anymore in the same way they used to be.
5143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The relationship between Bitcoin and human civilization on: August 11, 2021, 02:35:24 AM
the ideas behind Bitcoin, decentralization, transparency, equality, freedom, openness, and so on. When more and more people accept this kind of thinking, it will guide us to transform this society and create a whole new human civilization step by step.
Due to different regulations bitcoin probably won't remain like that. People who rule the world don't want to change their minds, instead they want to change bitcoin in a way it can fit the system without damaging their own power and influence. Bitcoin could lead human civilization to a higher level if people were awake and willing for that. However, the reality is that humanity is composed by a bunch of sheep which blindy follow the rulers' orders. The few who really want freedom, transparency, fair opportunities are suffocated by the sheep's bleat just like it happened in Orwell's Animal Farm masterpiece.
5144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ⛔ WARNING Exploitation in Play To Earn (P2E) NFT Games on: August 10, 2021, 08:58:32 PM
What other game is profitable at the moment? Except Axie Infinity . Game that doesn't need a big investment and you can earn money every day.
So far there isn't any. Blockchain games is a very young industry yet. The good projects are under early development or weren't even started yet. The ones disponible right now you have to pay to start playing, because that is what keeps these games profitable. Maybe you can be lucky to start playing a game which is starting now, so you accumulate items in your account until the game skyrockets. When this happens you can sell your items for a good price.

That is what I'm doing regards Lost Relics. I've been playing the game since last year (for free), collecting maximum items as possible and once the game becomes more popular I will sell my stuff. Lost Relics is actually a good option to play for free with a decent gameplay, although new sign ups are really limited now and drops decreased considerably. So I can't say it's possible to earn money every day like in Axies Infinity, for an example.

At least the game is fun for people who like live 3D MMORPG.

Caregivers can be family members, relatives or hired people to execute the job. In case of elderlies without family it's common the nursing home where they live take care of all their finances, so they don't need to worry about it.

However, at some point a bitcoin platform operated by voice command may be developed meant to give these people a new positive experience in crypto universe.
5146  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you been grateful for today? on: August 10, 2021, 06:44:39 PM
I just opened Facebook and read a short, but meaningful post. in the post it says

Quote
A mountain of gold would not be enough for a greedy person.
But, a plate of food is enough for a grateful person

I ponder when I do daily trading in the crypto market, I often get profit even though it is not too much, But I am always annoyed and irritated if the profit I get is not on target. I forgot to be grateful and hopefully, I can be a grateful person even though I get a little profit from crypto trading.
Well, I believe you should always be grateful for what you have achieved today even if it is just a plate of food, but always targeting the mountain of gold tomorrow. Greedy is not good, but conformism isn't good too. These are two extremes that must be avoided if the person wants to thrive in life for real.
Humbleness is often misunderstood with mediocrity nowadays in order to keep the sheep submissive, while the people behind these catchphrases propagandas enrich themselves and keep the sheep enslaved in the matrix.
5147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 09, 2021, 10:34:33 PM
It's the media that should be taught about Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency had been around for years and everything about it can be found online actually, they are free which bloggers like Andreas Antonopoulos had been teaching on youtube. The media can change things if they are just going to be willing to learn.

Reporting correctly about the real information is suppose to be a responsibility but then today they are paid by big businesses trying to subdue this industry including those senators proposing terrible crypto bills.
I've never seen the media teaching something useful about bitcoin, and maybe what you pointed out is actually the reason behind it: they were never taught. The only news I see are about fluctuations in price, people who got insanely rich by being an early holder, people who lost huge funds in btc because they have lost hardware wallets or news about companies, central banks thinking about creating their own crypto currencies.
Since the media doesn't teach anything useful, people will remain uneducated, as they fully rely on it to have access to information and knowledge. That is the main reason why most people aren't interested in bitcoin and probably won't until it's too late.
5148  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do most cryptocurrencies rise and fall together? on: August 09, 2021, 08:54:37 PM
Is this trend due to large accounts operating on multiple exchanges or countless retail investors carrying price differences? Or is it caused by other operations?
I believe both alternatives are right. There are whales who operate in multiple exchanges, dealing with multiple crypto currencies and there are also many smaller investors who follow these whales' movements. Then we have the trends, hypes, bull runs which push different assets of crypto market upside, always led by bitcoin on the front. That is a clear signal of how speculative crypto market is.
5149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many great things are banned, censored or restricted in China. If China wants to on: August 09, 2021, 07:00:08 PM
I think that is because the Chinese government does not want their people to know many things that happen out there. After all, that can make their people will doing something.
The government wants to make sure their people are under control on their hands while doing many things to limit their access, knowing the world out there.
They are very strict to control everything that happens in their country and if their people do not follow what they want, they will disappear in just a second and can do that easily.
The government wants to conquer the world, and they are trying to distribute their product to all countries and tells that their product is the best among the other product.
Maybe many other reasons that we do not know behind that.
That is communist mentality. They protect their citizens from foreigner influence maximum as possible, so chinese citizens don't get inspired in a point to become a threat to their national government. That keeps the country peaceful and calm, without any internal conflicts like the ones we see in the rest of the world. Countries under constant internal conflicts are result of rival nations' influences which want to destabilize others to thrive. That is how international diplomacy works since many centuries or maybe millenia ago. Chinese government is just using the most efficient strategy they can to avoid this issue, although their citizens have to pay a high price for that.
5150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 09, 2021, 06:17:48 PM
These games are refined hyips (High Yield Investment Programs). When investing in this kind of concept you are always gambling with your money. The problem is that some people don't see it this way, as they believe it's a safe investment. The fact is that games' items are artificially inflated by the money new players make in a daily basis, exactly how a ponzi scheme works. Once the flux of fresh money decreases, these items will lose their values considerably in a way new players won't be able to recover their initial investments.

I say that because in no legit way static browser games like Cryptoblades and Mobox, without any gameplay would have huge demand like we are seeing right now. If you want to avoid the risk look for NFT/Blockchain games which have real gameplay, development, ingame economy, consistent players community.

(It's not the first time hyips use fake games to run their businesses. People who are on the internet for a longer time must know some hyip games which were very popular especially in eastern europe).
5151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: August 08, 2021, 07:36:06 PM
Thanks for that information.

I'm also about to ask the same question and want to know if there really are winners since this was posted a month ago already.

Those folks that have won cars, just wow.
You are welcome. Glad I could help.
Those vehicles were nice prizes, indeed.

Its good to know that the Poland government were sincere to give these prizes for those who get themselves vaccinated.
This is an effective encouragement to people who have doubts because of the side effects that it might cause to their health.
I just hope our government do the same thing as an incentives for people to be protected against the virus while having a chance to get prizes.
At first I didn't like the idea of rewarding people for getting vaccinated very much. But looking now how rewards were distributed I changed my opinion a little bit, because they didn't selected few winners only. There were tons of prizes besides cash rewards, so many people were benefited by this lottery. Besides scooters and corollas every 500th and 2000th participants were rewarded, that is a lot of people in a competition with almost 3 millions of members. Per my calculations it's more than 7000 people winning just the instant prizes.
5152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got a pifzer ? Then you can be eligible for lottery in Poland. on: August 08, 2021, 12:36:03 AM
any news what is the outcome of the lottery ? does anyone declared a winner? there are several countries that also offered the same but there are still no news if someone was allotted wins from the events.
Many people were declared winners because there were several rewards. The total amount including cash and prizes were about 4,79 million euros. Some people were rewarded in cash, while others won electric scooters and toyota corolla cars. About 2,8 million of people participated the lottery and every 500th and 2000th participant were instantly rewarded with cash rewards.

Found these informations here: Over 2.8 million people register for Polish vaccine lottery
5153  Economy / Economics / Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2021, 07:39:54 PM
El Salvador was an exception. They have adopted bitcoin because about 20% of their income is generated by foreigner transactions from people who are natural from the country, but live abroad and help their families in El Salvador monthly. Those international transactions were heavily tributed by banks, so an alternative was needed and that was bitcoin.

If another developing countries are facing the same issues it's likely they can also adopt bitcoin, but I fear it's not the case of most developing countries. Usually the problem with developing countries are the oligarchies who rule them and at same time foreigner transactions income isn't considerable. So in no way bitcoin will be adopted, because it would prejudice the oligarchies which are already confortable with the currently system.

Why would african dictators or latin american caudillos want their people to have access to bitcoin?
5154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should you own at least one Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2021, 06:54:36 PM
I don't understand why people think 1 BTC is an absurd amount of money right now. Honestly, what can you do with 40,000$ nowadays? It used to be a decent amount many years ago, but not anymore, since inflation ate a lot of dollar's value. 1 BTC isn't even sufficient to generate enough passive income to pay for the most basic needs in a monthly basis.
OP's suggestion is a very good one. People should aim at least 1 BTC portfolio on short run, to be benefited by the next bitcoin bull runs. Not everyone will have the opportunity to hold 1 BTC futurely, but you who are reading this message right now still have the chance of holding. Don't think about it like an impossible task to be achieved. It's still possible with some effort and savings management.
5155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year on: August 07, 2021, 04:32:25 PM
Amazon has already announced that they will soon be offering Bitcoin payments.
I didn't read it yet, could you show me the source?
I assume you mislead in reading the news, no team members of Amazon stated an exact time to accept Bitcoin. So, how can you say "soon"?
I know it is very glad if Amazon accepts Bitcoin, but we must know it is still a rumor. I am worried if you all guys be very unsatisfied once Amazon officially rejected the Bitcoin payment idea.

90% of the news posted here is fake, and in case you want to know what Amazon said about Bitcoin, you need to refer to the official statement made by them. And here is what they said:

https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2021/7/27/amazons-denial-on-accepting-bitcoin-sends-it-tumbling

Quote
Notwithstanding our interest in the space, the speculation that has ensued around our specific plans for cryptocurrencies is not true,” said a spokesperson from Amazon on Monday. “We remain focused on exploring what this could look like for customers shopping on Amazon.

The statement is a bit tricky. It indicates that Amazon has some interest in Bitcoin. And similar to the case with PayPal, we will get to know about it only after they actually implements it in their system.
I believe Amazon dropped a bait to see how the reaction of their public regards the possibility of adopting bitcoin would be. Or maybe they just wanted to see how influent they can be in crypto universe, so they can launch their own crypto currency and let bitcoin aside (considering how much bitcoin rised after these rumors were spreaded, about 15% during the day, they are quite influent).
That is actually the dream of many big techs. They have zero interest for bitcoin, they just want to replace it with their own currency.
5156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: August 07, 2021, 03:28:13 AM
No one has ever gave his opinion about boxing more elegant than Jonathan Lyons in answering the question "Should boxing be legal?":

"Boxing is brutal. There is no fan of the pugilist arts that will say otherwise. Boxing has come a long way from Marquis de Queensbury and bare knuckled brawling to today's spectacle.

It should be pointed out that the point of boxing, is not to pummel one's opponent to a bloody pulp, but to score points by means of a combination of hits to the upper body.

As has been noted in other answers, at the amateur level, a considerable amount of padding has been added to reduce injury. The thumbless glove alone was a great improvement. I think it would be wise to extend these innovations in the sport to the professional level. However, I do not believe that the sport should be banned altogether.

The boxers themselves in my opinion, endure training so hard that it makes them strong and determined to beat other fighters and get the fame, glory, and fortune that they deserve. No wonder, deserving boxers, they get filthy rich.

I guess the general point is right, boxing is rather the game of endurance than a pummelling and there are certain rules and security measures. Nevertheless, this doesn’t deny the fact that boxing is among the most traumatic kinds of sports (if not the most) and leads to serious long-term injuries. Yes, boxers become rich stars, so one could say it all pays off, but if in the end, one has brain damage does fame really matter?
If it was me to choose I would never exchange health (especially mental health) for fame or money. Doesn't matter how much money you have, without mental health you are nothing as it won't be possible to enjoy the fortune you have made along the years in a pleasant way. So it's a pointless decision to risk health aiming to sit at a throne made of dust.
But there are some people that are so aggressive that they don't think like this and prefer to damage their health just to feel the relief of overflowing their angry inside an arena, so they live a calm routine outside the ring. Maybe if it wasn't the sport the lives of those fighters would be much more irritable and violent against people who have nothing to do with them.
5157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: August 06, 2021, 08:29:03 PM
But the problem with those games is that you can buy in game currency with real money and this means that albeit indirectly kids are using real money to make bets and this is a problem because there are a lot of kids that do not really understand what they're doing and they can develop bad habits and this can be problematic because the sooner they develop those habits the more difficult it is going to be for them to leave them behind once they grow up and become adults.

And what habits could they be? Spending more than you earn? Taking into account the fact that parents manage money, I think that they will quickly explain to the child that money is not endless and should be spent wisely. However, the child receives this knowledge in any game where there are finite resources.
Games that has money involve can still be considered as a game because there’s no way for you to get money in return aside from placing your own bet which I think is already happening in some country where the Children can bet and play that game. Gambling is too risky and can be very addicting, Children still have a weak emotion, this is not for them and we have to monitor our Children especially on their time online to avoid them from spending too much money that can lead into a gambling.
Even though you can't cashout profit from these games I think it's still not advised for kids, because they can become addicted. Until the kid wins the desired reward, he won't stop investing money in the game, especially because these online games' rewards are offered for limited time, so it must be achieved fast. Personally, I wouldn't let my children invest money in online games besides traditional membership packages.
These betting features are made in a way to force you to keep spending tons of money without limits in order to collect all the game's items. And doesn't matter how much money you put on it, you will be never able to reach 100% of the game collectibles.
5158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: August 06, 2021, 07:15:06 PM
Hypes actually aren't important for a solid growing. They are too volatile and investors following them will end losing money sooner or later. It's better to focus in long term adoption, so you avoid the trap of the ephemeral
hype effects. I see that bitcoin adoption is increasing very well despite fuds and recent crashes. I don't see the crypto currency losing strength for now, it's quite the opposite.
The recent rise which pushed bitcoin back to 40,000$ makes even the most hardcore haters astonished. That is not a signal of a decaying market, right? By the end of this year bitcoin must hit a new ATH, let's see.
5159  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: August 06, 2021, 05:56:37 PM
I totally dislike and oppose such actives and games. We are human beings and such games are disrespectful.
I think we should discourage such games and convince people that these games should be avoided.
Well, you aren't wrong, but there is nothing we can do because people who participate these games feel violence rewarding and think it as a way to make a living from. Maybe someday sports like this won't exist anymore, as humans let their primitive instincts behind. But it's unlikely to happen. If gladiators' fights still existed nowadays people would be addicted to those games. From ancient times by now human taste hasn't changed.

Good thing is that gambling on these games are not possible because they are not popular.
Some videos reach to 2 millions views or more. Slapping popularity does exist and I'm sure people bet on the matches at least in loco.
5160  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: August 06, 2021, 04:13:21 AM
I'm not convinced that relaxing to be an option, it's just going to strengthen the injury. With the slap like that famous fat guy of slapping tournament, your head could turn 360 if you relax.

That's very scary. other than that the most likely thing is ear damage. I've experienced something like this and it's like hearing a buzzing sound in the ear just from a slap. What's more, if not ready and lets say act to relaxed, people could faint and seriously injured. and also the head is very close to all the vital veins in all parts of the body.

This kind of game or tournament is not an easy game this requires a whole stability of the mental and physical health of the player having a mistake on a preparations might damage the hearing, mouth and other parts can be dislocated for me it's more riskier game that boxing all the damage you will receives is directly to your head. It's looks like the battle of the life and death .
I was watching a slapping match between siberian champion and a brazilian mma player days ago on youtube and it was really brutal. After each round a kind of paramedic had to check the vital signs and the injuries on each participant. The game doesn't last too long, because each slap causes a lot of damage at the head of the adversary. I guess after several years of intense blows, these guys will suffer from serious mental problems in a way it doesn't worth to participate this sport. On the other hand, the matches catch a lot of attention from the public, so it's undeniable the potential for gambling does exist in slapping tournaments.
