a little off-topic but Gavin thanks so much for your talk and outlook at Bitcoin2014 in Amsterdam! you appears to me so clear minded in this growd of selfish people. thank you very much and yes price should go down! it's to early for such a rally.
EDIT: block size is still too low. as you mentioned the fear to get a block orphaned because of the higher time to propagate larger blocks to the network could be the reason for the limited blocksize of the miners and mining pools.

die diff ist mittlerweile bei 10,455 giga angekommen. tendenz steigend. ich schlage vor umgehend aktiv zu werden und zu handeln. in der industrie bildet man ueblicherweise taskforces um misstaende zu bereinigen. wir sollten das auch so handhaben. ich gehe nicht mehr davon aus jemals ROI zu erreichen. es sei denn der kurs geht auf 100 mio pro bitcoin hoch. dann fehlen uns aber zwei nachkommastellen wofuer man einen hardfork machen muesste was wahrscheinlich aber der kalkulator nicht verkraften wuerde. ich vermute dass er dann zu ungenau rechnet und gar keine loesung mehr ausspuckt. oder eine hashfunktionswechsel? waere das machbar? was mein ihr?
EDITH: mit welchen future price kallkuliert ihr um ueberhaupt noch ruhig schlafen zu koennen? momentan kalkuliere ich mit 1 mio pro bitcoin in einem jahr. stromkosten lasse ich unter den tisch fallen wegen neutrino power und geborgtem strom von der laterne vorm block bis neutrino generator funktioniert (mein balkon meiner 16 qm einzimmer wohnung in koelnberg befindet sich auf hoehe der lampe und die zwei draehte fallen kaum auf). 1 jahr in der zukunft deshalb wegen der steuerbefreiung bei einem jahr liegen lassen.

Hello, I am a film music composer, but also a huge fan of crypto-currencies and especially DarkCoin. DarkCoin has inspired me to compose a DarkCoin Anthem and the music was already performed by a huge 100 musicians symphonic orchestra for me. I understand, I can provide some proof I am the composer like the music score sheet for the orchestra in PDF and also a MIDI File of the same music performed by computer samples. Actually this piece was performed as an encore in a live concert here in Germany, so since yesterday I have the recording. You cannot find anywhere else this music, I guarantee you. - CoinJoin (the absolute fundamental basis of Darkcoin) was developed by a Bitcoin developer and he said that Darkcoin is an useless alternative coin with a terrible solution to the constructing transaction pool problem. do you have the source, please? thank you! |

It's hard to believe you're not a major bytecoin holder of some sort? Monero is a fork without the massive premine/instamine/slowmine without release whatever it was of bytecoin, I imagine your opinion about it is the same if they share cryptonote?
As hard as it is to believe, people other than me do occasionally have really good ideas. ... (No, I'd only heard about it a couple months ago and looked into it in depth until the last week). I think all these altcoins are horribly ill-advised in their altcoinness. You're in the wrong subforum and thread if you want to talk about cryptocurrency speculation— my interest here is just in the techniques— and I'm not going to credit some random code aping fork for other people's work when talking about them. (In case anyone had the impression that I thought bytecoin was all love and wonder: the implementation is currently really immature and somewhat buggy— and perhaps not likely to improve if its authors are now getting voted off the island in a fork. The POW is very slow to validate, and seems generally ill-advised to me (see https://download.wpsoftware.net/bitcoin/asic-faq.pdf), the adaptive blocksize stuff seems dangerous and the coin burning excuse for it can't work as expected in the long run since miners can get paid out of band, ... but the privacy design is very good, though even there its incompatible with pruning (but so is everything else). Of course, all these concerns also apply to forks that just aped the code.). did you had the chance to get a look into Darkcoin, too? thank you! |
