5161  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request - 180 BTC - Repay in 45 days - 200 BTC on: March 16, 2012, 10:48:12 PM
EDIT:  Now it is correct, the additional interest is 10 BTC - not 100 BTC.  Sorry.  Thanks Patrick for catching that.

Assuming  BTC guy is now totally paid off (60 BTC for 50 lent) and assuming everyone else was in for the 200/180 interest in 45 day deal just as I was, then a 15 day extention to a total of 60 days should look something like this:

Code:
Lender        Loan  45 days       60 days
------------  ----  ------------  ------------
dollartrader    75   83.33333333   86.11111111
Turbor          50   55.55555556   57.40740741
brendio         45   50.00000000   51.66666667
BurtWagner      50   55.55555556   57.40740741
znort987        50   55.55555556   57.40740741
------------- ----  ------------  ------------
Totals         270  300.00000000  310.00000000

And I believe the due date would be about April 7, 2012.

Is this refinance ok with everyone - including the borrower?

Now that is more like it!  Things were going a bit too smoothly.

I also was wondering about this.  It appears that I am also due a small payout.  Maybe payouts from yesterday will be rolled into today?
5164  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Got my BFL Single today and I'm raffling it away for 0.5BTC! on: March 16, 2012, 02:26:52 PM
Hmm checked the list, and It seems as if I only got half the tickets I purchased.

It lists number of BTC paid, not number of tickets Smiley Thus the x.5s

What about the 3 digit numbers?
What you do is look at the first two columns.  There is a first and a last number.  Those are your numbers.  If the random number falls between your first and your last then you win.  The range of numbers you get is determined by the amount of BTC times 100, so if you spent 5.25 BTC then you get 525 numbers out of the entire range of possible numbers.

Those numbers are in BTC, not tickets.

So, how hard and complicated can we make it to figure out a single secure and fair random number between 0 and 20644?

Edit:  I am thinking of a number right now - can we use mine?
5166  Economy / Gambling / Re: *[~BITLOTTO~]* Next draw is April 4! March Jackpot was over 100 BTC! on: March 15, 2012, 09:44:58 PM
One way would be to get a wallet to add this feature.  Ask StrongCoin, BlockChain.info, Armory, etc. and see who adds it first.  Simple to add to a wallet and then it would be safe.  Just a way to say do this same transaction N times.

Who are "they"?
5169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the conversion of Mhash/s to Ghash/s? on: March 15, 2012, 05:32:06 PM
Technically, since about 1998, 1 giga = 1000 mega of anything and 1 gibi = 1024 mebi of anything although some people still use mega and giga when they should be using mebi and gibi...

See NIST definition:  http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html

So 1 gigahash/second = 1000 megahashes/second and 1 gibihash/second = 1024 mebihashes/second

Also note that 1 mebihash/second = 1,048,576 hashes/second and 1 megahash/second = 1,000,000 hashes/second.

Quick summary of this thread:

So-fucking-stupid is probably ass-hat-tana.  For some reason he has not been banned even thought Maged said:

Blue.Mitzi is Astana. He needs to be Banned.
Yup. This account was banned 8 hours ago for ban evasion. Because he has been caught evading a ban, he will now be banned on sight. Contact a moderator if you see him in the future.

He owes Phinnaeus Gage $1000 and will not pay him.

5174  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: create btc-address + key in only PHP ? on: March 12, 2012, 08:22:43 AM
You can generate as many key pairs as your heart desires at https://www.bitaddress.org

You can download the script and run it on a computer totally disconnected from the internet.

It will also print out the key pairs to create paper wallets.
