Asa stii o treaba...
5162  Local / Romānă (Romanian) / Re: Declarare bani on: December 08, 2021, 02:50:54 PM

* vandut pentru fiat
* schimb crypto vs crypto
* folosit crypto pentru a cumpar bunuri/servicii.

5163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: December 08, 2021, 12:55:50 PM
Massive crash in F1 between Pourchaire and Fittipaldi and it looks like Fittipaldi just smashed his legs on that accidents. So far , we have little information but we know that both are "ok" as long as we can confirm what OK can mean after that crash.

I'm so sick of this FIA lately as all they want is to make money and trow drivers on the edge. This is not F1 we used to love ...I mean yes , we love a dangerous track but we don't love a mortal track like this one.
To be honest, I also did not think that this new track would be so dangerous.  Moreover, as usual, the design is super professional Tilke.
However, as I understand it, the accident was provoked by a young Haas racer Nikita Mazepin.  I must say he somehow should not be related to F1 professionals at all.  And Max Schumacher also went off the track.  So this relatively new team is not doing very well at all.

The Fittipaldi / Pourchaire crash was in F2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0ktCEw9CUQ
Mazepin has crashed into Russell in F1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKlsx5StbBg
They're different crashes in different races, although in the same week-end and same track. Please don't confuse them.
5164  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Show off your hardware wallet on: December 08, 2021, 11:24:34 AM
Are you implying that the pen-shaped item is a hardware wallet?
I don't think so. I am not aware of any pen-shaped hardware wallets. Looks like a standard pen to me. I think he was trying to say that the best and safest way to store your recovery phrase is by using a pen and paper and not relying on other parties or gadgets, like in the case of hardware wallets.

He was most probably implying that he just writes down the private key or seed onto paper. Pen and paper are not software and can be seen as hardware.
I'd guess that he either doesn't understand what hardware wallet means, either wanted to play "I am smart and funny". Or both.
5165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether fud need to be stopped its silly on: December 08, 2021, 10:28:56 AM
Tether is safe and will be

1. USDT is issued by a private company. I understand that you trust them. I don't. Can you prove me wrong? With proof?
2. Tether didn't manage to prove beyond doubt that they have proper backing for all the USDT they've issued. And I'm being overly nice in the way of telling this.
5166  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Browser with Bitcoin on: December 08, 2021, 10:24:24 AM
Security would be a concern.
flash.pm is my browser.

Flash is a huge security problem. Mixing browser for flash with bitcoin wallet may easily become a ticking bomb.
I understand that you want to offer convenience, but I don't think that this is a safe direction.
5167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many people are using bitcoin wallets? on: December 08, 2021, 09:02:44 AM
Are offline wallets safe?

If a wallet was created by a good software (without errors, without in-built vulnerabilities like making the addresses by a rule the programmer can also easily obtain the private keys for those wallets) and, generated offline and that device/private key will never go online, then yes, they're safe.

However:
* different unrelated questions should go to different topics, else mix-up between answers can happen
* you should ask in more words - more clearly - your questions, else you may get very generic answers you may not find really useful
5168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will there be no more topics to write about? on: December 08, 2021, 08:41:18 AM
Are we going to be seeing more shitty post soon?

Yes, but not necessarily because there would not be enough good topics to discuss, more like some prefer non-topics and some prefer easy posts for a quick buck.
As somebody said, many things come out over and over again just because people prefer to ask again than search.

But new things come out.
People still have genuine problems.
The community keeps growing and some need personalized guidance (or just don't know how to search). Of course, newcomers are also prone to shitposts.
New tools are being created; people will discuss them, people will need help with them.

There will be good topics here, there will be shitposts here. There will be more people reporting 0-value posts too, or at least I hope so.

PS. OP, please consider moving this topic to Meta.
5169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many people are using bitcoin wallets? on: December 08, 2021, 08:31:58 AM
How many people are using bitcoin wallets?

I think that the most honest answer is: Nobody knows.

- Since one can make a wallet anonymously,
- Since one wallet can have any number of addresses,
- Since one can have wallet without ever putting money on it,
- Since one can have as many wallets as he wants,

I would not count on the accuracy of any numbers (guesses/estimations) people would give.

You can easily find out how many addresses have funds.
One can find out how many addresses ever had coins on them.
But this is not the number of people.
5170  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallets are the safest and what can go wrong? on: December 08, 2021, 08:13:04 AM
buy an expensive air-gapped cold wallet, put 100 BTC in it, do some drugs in a party, show off your hardware wallet, and divulge your seed phrases or private key to a hot chick or hot dude, once you're wasted.

Telling here and there you own 100BTC would probably just be enough.
Sooner or later somebody may come after you with the 5$ wrench and you will give him the seed sooner or later.
Keeping your mouth shut is a must as soon as you have a meaningful amount of BTC. That's no longer wallet related.
5171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP: Hacked Wallet on: December 08, 2021, 08:05:06 AM
I am not familiar with Metamask, but after finding out how you've got hacked and clean up the system if needed, you should consider the old wallet compromised and create a new clean wallet.
And I keep preaching it: consider buying a hardware wallet.
5172  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Possible Compromised Laptop With Seed in Password Manager? on: December 08, 2021, 07:59:56 AM
After cleaning up your computer, you should install uBlock Origin and WoT (or better). uBlock Origin will hide the ads, WoT may mark the suspicious websites in.. anything else than green hence signaling you for caution and double checking the link.

The browser can download malware, but it may need you click an OK, at least that's how it was many years ago.

Keep in mind that it's enough you have a browser/clipboard virus altering the recipient's address when you want to send (or receive) coins and getting you this way send the money to hacker's address.

Depending on what password manager you have and whether it's encrypted or not, third party may get (or not) access to the whole content of the password manager data, including the seed. Since you are obviously not good on handling your seed, why don't you just buy a cheaper hardware wallet?

In order to check whether your computer is infected, my recommended way is a bootable antivirus CD/DVD you can download from known antivirus companies. Download, burn, boot from it, update signatures database if needed, spend half a day and disinfect. You can pick your favorite from this list: https://www.techradar.com/best/best-antivirus-rescue-disk
It's the best method I know, but I don't claim it to be perfect.
5173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiner's with Zero investment. on: December 08, 2021, 07:31:00 AM
It can be seen in many ways really. Even the early CPU miners have spent electricity for mining... of course, compared with today price, that's nothing. Still.. they have invested.
As the others said, trading, working for crypto... are all investments. Although I've bought bitcoin at some point, most of my coins came from earning them - bounties, signatures, translations...
Even claiming from faucets can mean a huge lot of time.

I see only two categories of people who didn't invest for the coins:
* people who earned them at free raffles/contests
* people who have received coins as gift

And I don't think that those have much of an interesting story to tell... I can pretty surely say that most of those are far from "early adopters".

Oh, on a second thought, there may be one category of early adopters who didn't invest into bitcoin: people who have claimed from the very early faucets and did HODL since. Good luck finding one of those though.
5174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: December 08, 2021, 07:18:36 AM
Max will have an 8 old GP engine while Hamilton will have a 3 GP old engine.

I think it won't be 3 GP old, only 2 GP old. From what I know he used an older engine at Jeddah, hence the new engine has been used only at Sao Paulo and Qatar.
I fear the worse in the next race, really. I can't wait for 2022 though.
5175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cryptotab browser experience on: December 07, 2021, 04:23:47 PM
that seems curious: why I obtain more satoshi than you calculation?
Is there some real miners that could give me some "on the field" numbers without theorical calculation?

Have you withdrawn anything into your own wallet?
If not, keep in mind that anybody can show some numbers, but those don't necessarily mean that you'll ever withdraw (i.e. obtain) anything.
5176  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Show off your hardware wallet on: December 07, 2021, 04:09:58 PM

I know that's not the original cable, but I prefer this shorter one which I usually don't unplug from the Nano S.

I've bought this Nano S in 2019 and the reason was to do tests with it, mostly, since if need be I can setup a cold storage.
Now I'm too much used to its convenience, although I don't use it that much. (So yep, it still works good).

Why Nano S? Seemed to do more than Trezor One (more altcoins, although not in the same time, clearly) and similar (maybe even slightly smaller price). And I've also preferred the USB-like design.
The ugly color was chosen to stand out from my too many USB sticks Cheesy

I was very angry on Ledger because of the sloppy way they've handled the data leak from their shop, and I still am, but from what I know only my e-mail has leaked, so I consider myself lucky with that.
5177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: KMSPico Malicious Windows Activator Stealing Crypto on: December 07, 2021, 09:50:48 AM
It could be big deal if you use it for work (especially for presentation or screen sharing) or multimedia which use whole screen.

Indeed, however if one use it for something productive, he can already make the step of buying a "second hand" license at under 10$, which are more and more popular now.
And the rest can just simply use it with watermark.

I always assume people talking about Office 365 when they're talking about online office. I didn't know microsoft also offer free version with some limitation.

Indeed, it's 365.
And that's my point: far too many people don't know about these free options. They are not advertised, since usually nobody pays for advertising a product that doesn't earn money, and far too many end up with malware just because they've assumed that the OS/programs they need cannot be used for free.
5178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: KMSPico Malicious Windows Activator Stealing Crypto on: December 07, 2021, 09:07:42 AM
It's a bit sad though, since both Windows and Office can be nowadays used for free, still people are uninformed and prefer to crack it and have bad consequences later....

I don't know about Office, but do you mean using Windows 10 without activating it and get annoyed by the watermark?

Yes, that's what I mean.
And indeed, if you don't pay for Win10 you cannot change desktop image and you have the bottom-right watermark. I don't find that a big deal, I've used Win10 for some 2 years like that on a less-used machine.
It was back then not that annoying.

And for Office, if one is keen to use MS Office (instead of Libre Office, for example), he can use it in-browser, with a free MS account.

In plus, are si feedback pozitiv de la altii.

Felicitari noua, as spune Smiley
