5161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will esports gambling be explosive in the future like sports gambling? on: July 01, 2018, 07:36:32 PM
I'm sure that it will explode. Just think about the rate at which esports are growing. 20 years ago it barely existed. There was some Quake, CS and Starcraft where people were competing for 10k USD and that's it. Now competitions have very high prize pools, sometimes close to a million dollars and the number of competitive games is overwhelming. It will take some time before it starts to compete with sports but it will happen.
5162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Really! Where is the fun at? on: July 01, 2018, 07:32:32 PM

Yes the fun part is missing in the online gambling but most people want money from gambling so the fun i not important for them and also the convenient is a matter while doing online gambling so both have pros and cons so it is in our view to take which one for us.But I am not a regular gambler and don't want to go to casinos but still I can plat in online and get some gambling experience this is what I consider as fun for me.

I have a similar opinion.  People are forgetting about fun and are there for the money. Some just want the outcome which is a positive balance and others are there to satisfy their addiction. I'm not a frequent gambler and when I do it it's with the money I consider lost. Unfortunately I rarely have fun gambling online.
5163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Frustrations: Losing Streak on: July 01, 2018, 07:28:55 PM
I'll stop betting and take a break for a while. Listen to some music or watch movie. I would keep myself busy with other things and that will help to forget about the loss.  I won't come back for few days. First thing I do when i get back is to change my seed and client seed. After that I'll fresh start with a different strategy.

You can always change the seed immediately and continue playing. I don't believe that there are unlucky seeds. You could even have higher chance of success with the old seed because it has the history of a streak and it has to come to an end. Usually there are no totally lucky or unlucky players. The system is made to balance itself and after a losing streak comes a winning streak.
5164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook revoked the ban on Cryptocurrency ads. What is the impact on Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2018, 07:25:18 PM
they only allow crypto ads. But ICOs are still disallowed.

I think it's fine. There's so many ICO scams that it's reasonable to be afraid to promote them. I'm not against them and think people should be allowed to promote what they want but if half of the projects become scams somebody should do something to at least warn people. This ban got a lot of media coverage and worked as a warning.
5165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never sold my First bitcoin. Are you also emotionally bound to bitcoin? on: July 01, 2018, 07:19:38 PM
I like my coins. I know it sounds weird but there's a relationship between a holder and his money. They're treated like a collection. If the collection becomes worthless I'll still keep it as a reminder of what it used to be. Of course a huge increase in value might make me sell but for now I'll keep holding.
5166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain child porn on: July 01, 2018, 07:17:43 PM
The world child porn is infused with so much negative emotions that I wouldn't be surprised if this whole incident was fabricated to make people hate bitcoin and blockchain.
We all know that if you want to destroy a person's image child porn works wonders. You can put drugs in his house, but this will just make him a sick addict who needs help. Put child porn there and nobody will look for excuses.
5167  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain technology curb corruption in our financial institutions? on: July 01, 2018, 07:13:50 PM
It won't do much as long as there's still fiat money and you can keep paying under the table. You could make all your employees accept Bitcoin and make their wallets public but you can't stop them from receiving additional money or gifts and favors. How will you prevent that from happening?
5168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese investor loses $400,000,000 in Bitcoin on: June 30, 2018, 10:10:21 PM
He's by no means a loser. Many well known investors and holders like Tim Draper or Richard Branson held coins at the time of the correction and nobody called them losers. They also held coins when they were reaching new highs. Does that make them winners? I sure think it does.
5169  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin's price depresses you. This is not a speculation topic on: June 30, 2018, 09:58:56 PM
Anyone remember when the price failed from $1,000 to $ 250? Smiley It was like the end of the world. Many people sold at lost and then left the market but they were wrong. 2018 we are seeing the same scenario with the bitcoin price losing about 60 %

We were 70% in the loss. 5000 USD would mean a loss of 75% from 20000. I think this is already a huge drop and people are still predicting that it could go lower.
This correction isn't like 2014. If you compare the charts, there was a big recovery in summer 2014 and it didn't happen here yet.
5170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: which is the Best site for buying Bitcoin on: June 30, 2018, 09:51:41 PM
I want to buy bitcoin through my bank debit or credit card. So which site is the best and secure to buy bitcoin through debit or credit card.

Depends, where do you live?

The best sites are usually those that use your local currency. If you live in the US it's easy because most exchanges accept USD and but if you are located somewhere in India or Korea, you're best using a local exchange.
The deal is simple. You have Euro in your pocket, find an exchange that accepts Euro transfers.
5171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia - the Journey on: June 24, 2018, 09:35:46 PM
I got 2 of my predictions right today ( the 0-0 HT result in the Japan - Senegal match was wrong but the FT bet made up for it) and I was way off with my Poland hunch lol  Grin To be honest I think Poland is the worst European team and apparently Lewandowski unlike Ronaldo can't carry the Polish team on his shoulders alone.

They have many good players that are rated high but they just can't work well together. For instance to buy Lewandowski you'd have to trade half of the Senegal's team, but they managed to win. It proves that it's all a gamble and you can't really predict the outcome based on the team's rating.
5172  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare mining payout is Negative, Withdraw fund now!!! on: June 24, 2018, 09:28:56 PM
So it was a scam, like many other cloud mining scams before it. I hope people will finally stop falling for these offers.

This is one of the many failures of lack of regulations.

It's not the problem of regulations. These companies are usually registered and they are paying taxes and should have all the paperwork and be subjected to inspections and audits like all other companies. Nobody cares and nobody bothers to check them until it's too late.

5174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ARGENTINA TO USE BITCOIN FOR INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER on: June 24, 2018, 09:08:40 PM
if Argentina believe to use bitcoin for international transfer because cheaper and faster i think other countries should be following them because one of the advantages use bitcoin for transactions is bitcoin can used for worldwide transfer more faster than fiat however this is good news but very unfortunate it still can't boost the price

Some countries don't have to look for cheaper ways of sending money. It's the best option for poor countries that could use a technology that will allow them to save money and have an advantage over their richer neighbors. It's great news I hope it's not FUD and they will do it.
5175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin comes around on: June 24, 2018, 09:07:09 PM
prediction does not mean 100% true. and also the market is difficult to predict accurately. but all this there is a game of big players who want to monopolize the market.

This is probably their last chance because if Bitcoin rallies again it will end at 40 or 50 thousand USD and the chance to window to buy belo 10,000 USD will close forever just like it happened with 1000 USD. Many of us forgot about it but 1000 was a price people were dreaming of for years. Now it seems to be so low that we aren't expecting it the worst bearish scenario. 10,000 is going to be the new 1000 in 2 years.
5176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G7 countries planning to invest in crypto?? on: June 24, 2018, 09:02:44 PM
So where does your information come from? You make predictions, but what are your sources in which you make them after the analysis? I'm not discounting your though processes, but I would like to know your sources so that the analysis can be recreated. Also, so that noobs can see how you came to this conclusion.

Read this article as a support to my case, why i feel they are going to invest huge in crypto and our market will go to moon again :

https://www.coindesk.com/2018-year-central-banks-begin-buying-cryptocurrency/

I wouldn't invest based on some article from coindesk. They are often spreading rumors and FUD.
I'm an optimist and I think that bear market is coming to an end very soon, but we shouldn't risk the money because of some unconfirmed news. We are still in the lowest price point this year and it doesn't look good.
5177  Economy / Speculation / Re: the reason why bitcoin falls on: June 24, 2018, 08:59:37 PM
Bitcoin falls because the market is based on wave patterns. We had a bullish wave for a year and now we are almost 7 months in a bear market. It was the same in the previous years. The difference is that previous jumps ended in extended bear markets that lasted more than a year. I believe that this one is going to be much shorter.
5178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much electricity does bitcoin need? on: June 23, 2018, 09:27:38 PM
EG if a power plant produces 100gwh  but the country/state only USES 80Gwh
the 20gwh does not return to be reused. so its actually good that a industry is buying3.5gwh that would have gone to waste anyway.
yes there is still 16.5gwh that a power plant produces that is being wasted/lost. but atleast now a power plant is getting more utility

And more money. The unused power is not paid for, but the resources needed to produce it (which in many countries is still coal) are used.
It's funny that all this "green whining" became popular and everyone is repeating the same thing about Bitcoin being bad for the environment. If every household stopped leaving appliances on standby they'd save up at least $20 a year. Same thing for the LED lights. If they all threw away their tungsten bulbs they'd reduce their usage power usage by 80%.
5179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain issue: scaling. on: June 23, 2018, 09:16:53 PM
that is exactly why the second layer solution was introduced.

with second layer such as Lightning Network you don't have to worry about things such as scaling and size of the blockchain and the limitations that entails. of course it is not the solution for everything  and it is not perfect but it is the best thing we can have and it will help the scaling of bitcoin so much that it opens up a lot of opportunities.

A long time ago it seemed like sidechains were going to be one of the biggest revolutions in Bitcoin. But they seemed to get quietly swept up under the rug at some point. I'm not really 100% sure why, but I remember Peter Todd apparently pointed out some big fundamental flaws in some of the ideas behind them. I could be wrong and have missed the fact that they are still on track in development though. Because this was a few years ago now I guess.

Many people are afraid that this will lead to centralization and companies taking over the nodes. I'm not worried about that as long as everything goes fast and smooth.
We could always increase the block size or decrease the time between blocks and become another version of bitcoin cash. I think the majority prefers second layer from a fork.
5180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin keep falling? on: June 23, 2018, 09:05:24 PM
Bitcoin going to $2000.

Just like Silver which was $80/ounce in 1980. Bitcoin has been declared a speculative asset. I see 10% people worldwide using Bitcoin after 20 years.

!0% worldwide? That would make it incredibly expensive and your prediction doesn't make any sense. At the moment not even 1% uses Bitcoin, and with that 1% we were sitting above 6000 USD for more than 6 months. 9 times more usage would mean 9 times higher price!
