I think bush has the best chances of winning as his family is one of the more politically powerful families in America.
Yeah, I guess it would matter as to whom the America people are sick of more, the Bushes or the Clintons (I'm not really even sold on her running yet). But frankly, I can't see the GOP base turning out it in droves for a Bush and Rand will be too popular for people to settle on Bush as the nominee.
I think if Clinton were to win the nomination then the GOP would likely teat her to shreds with her handling of bengazadi.
There's more to it than that but yeah, Rand will smoke her like a joint.

It has no problems, it's ermerging as the first legitimate global currency unit.

It's value is tied only to the trust factor of it's growing user base.

US Congress report states, bitcoin similar to a currency based on a gold standard.

Big tech players understand it's value growth.

Heavy new laws may limit it's acceptance in some regions, however only 10% acceptance level means a $50k usd value.

Exchanges will be regulated in some regions, others it will be unregulated.

Soon you will have a large network of legal btc changers and they will simply follow money transmitter laws already in place in most areas.

My opinion.
Can you sign it? Big time Homie telling it how it is. I just differ on your hypothesis on it being similar to a gold backed standard cause it'll wipe it out as that. PMs will be a laugh. Yeah I holdem.

Rand Paul revolution in Silicon Valley

By Edward Hudgins
Friday, July 25, 2014

Free thinkers could find a home in the Republican Party.

Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, recently spoke at the “Rebooting Congress, Causes and Campaigns 2014” conference in Silicon Valley. The goal of Lincoln Labs, which put on the event, is to “create a bridge between technology and efforts to advance liberty.” The conference sought to “bring together technical talent and policy advocates to turn ideas into deliverables for liberty.”

Mr. Paul has also met in recent weeks with tech luminaries, including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel.

This might seem like just the usual meet-and-greet in advance of a possible presidential run. The libertarian-leaning Mr. Paul’s efforts, though, could presage a radical realignment of the Republican Party and a revolution in American politics.

Yes and the ironic kicker is that Tony Blair was made the peace envoy to the Middle East  Roll Eyes
But, he never got the Nobel Peace Prize like Barry did. Of course, nobody considers the NPP worth a crap anymore. If anyone should've got it, it should've been Ron Paul for getting non-intervention trending again so Rand can slam it home.

Top Obama Aide: Rand Paul Is ‘Most Intriguing’ Republican

"He's the only Republican I think who has articulated a message that is potentially appealing to younger Americans"

A senior aide to President Barack Obama suggested Friday that Sen. Rand Paul would be the greatest threat to Democrats’ hopes to retain the White House in 2016.

Speaking to reporters, counselor to the president Dan Pfeiffer said the Kentucky Republican is “one of the most intriguing candidates” in the field because of his appeal to younger voters of both parties.

“He’s the only Republican I think who has articulated a message that is potentially appealing to younger Americans,” Pfeiffer said at a breakfast organized by the Christian Science Monitor. “Every other Republican running is basically just Romney-lite when it comes to younger Americans.” Rand has made reaching out to non-traditional voters a signature component of his political agenda, most recently delivering a speech Friday to the National Urban League.

As for the senator’s presidential hopes, Pfeiffer questioned whether Paul has the organization to be a real threat and acknowledged that he would have to first make it through a tough primary where some of his positions are problematic to voters. But, he added, “there’s a germ of something there.”

It used to be that a man would immigrate to a country and had enough money on hand to be able to get by for about a week until he could find a job. He was screened coming in for disease and then would go to the local section of town where similar ethnicities would converge. He would then work his ass off for many years and only then would he be able to bring his wife and kids over from the mother country. Sadly, this isn't the case in recent times which is driving the sentiments about immigrants as a whole. Lately, by and large most of these people are coming here for promised amnesty which isn't law and using public entitlements which is additional negative PR in a stagnant and declining country where the average person isn't thriving.

Well I tried my best to get Ron some votes and I guess I will do the same for Rand. Honestly I need to look into him some more. Is he basically the same as his dad?

This bush/Clinton family nonsense has got to stop. How stupid can Americans be?  We keep electing the same families, we don't have anyone else who just might do better?  What a joke, sometimes I almost wish the US would fail because we are so dumb.
According to Ron, him and Rand are about 99% on the issues but Rand just packages the liberty message in a way that can't be demagogued by the media and in a more populist and non-confrontational sort of way. It's like hustling libertarianism to conservatives and even liberals are starting to see some of the Ron come out in him on civil rights issues. This man is too clever for the media and is a master at his craft. As an ancap, I went all in for Ron and will do the same for Rand.

Rand Paul's foreign policy was featured tonight on the biggest tv political show, The O'Reilly Factor. Bill, the host, is the flagship dipshit on Fox and Laura Ingraham, the most popular female on talk radio, was there to offer the balance to Rand's views. Rand Paul Proposes Measure To Shield State Medical Marijuana Laws From Feds

Quote
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Thursday filed an amendment in the Senate that would protect states that implement medical marijuana laws, as well as patients and physicians in those states, from federal prosecution.

Paul's Amendment 3630, filed Thursday morning to Sen. John Walsh's (D-Mont.) jobs bill being heard on the Senate floor, allows states to "enact and implement laws that authorize the use, distribution, possession, or cultivation of marijuana for medical use" without fear of federal prosecution. There are 33 states that have enacted laws protecting some form medical marijuana.

The amendment also prohibits prosecution of patients and physicians in those states for violating federal laws against the drug.

"What we're trying to do is look at the law and allow states that have changed their laws and have allowed medical marijuana to do so, for doctors to be able to prescribe and for people to be able to get those prescriptions without being worried about the federal government coming in and arresting them," Brian Darling, Paul's communications director, told The Huffington Post.

Rand Paul Will Outline His Agenda For Minority Voters In National Urban League Address

Quote
Republican U.S. Senator Rand Paul speaks before the National Urban League this Friday to outline an agenda relevant to minorities.

In a one-on-one interview with WFPL Thursday morning, Paul previewed a speech that will focus on criminal justice reform, school choice, and economic freedom zones.

"I think all of these have relevance to really the agenda of the Urban League and the things the Urban League would like to pass," said Paul. "The things we're doing to try to restore voting rights to make the war on drugs less of a burden on one community are all things people in the Urban League both support politically and hopefully the audience will as well."

Over 8,000 participants are convening at the conference in Cincinnati to discuss jobs and economic opportunities for the black community.

Paul will deliver his message a day after Vice President Joe Biden addresses the civil rights group, providing the GOP lawmaker with a national audience in his continued effort to build the case for black voters to give Republicans a chance.

Are we ready to make a move yet? GABI et al is incoming and I'm sure they're telling clients to make sure that their baggage is stowed and their chairs and folding trays are in an upright and locked position.

Glad to see these big shots are really starting to fire up the BTC evangelizing to high net worth folks. Interesting to see Elliptic being mentioned as one of the sources of cold storage for these folks that don't want direct exposure. Figured places like Elliptic and Xapo would cater in some large way to the hedge funds and other money machines.

At some point these VC guys are going to figure out that the currency itself is the best investment opportunity and the businesses and infrastructure surrounding bitcoin is secondary.
It sure would be something if any of these VC guys didn't actually have their own private stock of exposure in the Bitcoin currency as it stands over and above their holdings in peripheral ecosystem ventures. I get that many of these outfits will make plenty of money as more adoption happens but they should certainly be double-dipping as well. Wink

Bitcoin certainly could use a helluva alot more womens touch!
As more merchants begin to offer discounts for paying in Bitcoin, I have to believe it will take hold among those that do most of the family shopping. Women, typically, like to be part of the coupon savers clubs at chain stores which keeps them coming back for the deals. I haven't heard much lately on Coinbase's attempts to get this thing into high gear which would likely be a major attraction for women wanting to use Bitcoin to shop with.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Fostering an entitlement atmosphere isn't exactly optimum for the spread of anything more than a sub-par mentality culture. Do the bare minimum because any extra creative skills will be quashed or penalized via excessive regulation/taxation. Gee whiz thinks the young person fresh out of government skoolz. They can either get a menial job or start shelling out kids and have all their bases covered so they can sit around and just exist rather than excel at something of material gain, which leads to societal gain typically. The water tends to settle around the lowest common denominator as there are more barriers to prosperity yet more rewards for mediocrity or less.
