Found the solution to the S4 problem with multipools. Nicehash specifically addresses this issue with a modified Cgminer 4.71 dated Nov 22nd 2014. I looked at the instructions and was hoping it was as simple as upgrading the firmware, but its not. Its WAYY over my head. Scroll down near the bottom of the page to where it talks about the different model Antminers including the S4 See: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=software#cgminer . Im hoping someone can read this and take their image, and make it so noobs like me can just use the upgrade firmware option in our miners.

Got my answer on antpool. Looks like they ran out of luck. Just read on their forum:

Antpool Problems? Earnings suddenly so low, only 1/3 then usual

Something wierd going on with my s4. Im mining on nicehash, and every few hours I log into the console, it says speed: 0ghz, then I go to the led display and its got some random slow speed like 650ghs. I shut it down and reboot and it instantly returns to 2Ths...for an hour or two, then I have to keep shutting it down, not even a software reboot through console will fix it...any ideas? I also have the latest firmware: Thu Oct 16. Cgminer 4.6.1 .

Thanks in advance

Vegas

Its not your miners, its NiceHash - they are switching coins on you.  That causes your Diff to go very low (at least for an S4), the S4 resyncs than cranks up again.  The 650 is the average while your diff crawls up.

At least I've been seeing something very similar when I use the normal ports over on multicoinpool.org...

Try switching to antpool, just as a test, and see if things stabilize.

Cassey

So I mined on Antpool last night and stayed at 2ths all night. So, this miner does not do well with multipools. Funny thing is I own an S1 and it does fine with multipools. Is there any known fix for the S4 and multipools. The reason I ask is because I have mined 19 hours with 2 Ths on antpool and it says btc earned 0.015. So by my math I will be earning .02 BTC +/- a day for 2THs?? That about right? Somethings not right because on the MMXIV multipool I was earning 1.2 coins a day and they are worth .03 BTC and thats with me reseting my miner 10 times a day. I know the payouts flutcuate because its all based on luck but this is a VERY wide spread. Does ANYONE have any ideas how to stabalize the S4 on multipools?

This coin has 750% annual interest??? That does not bode well for price stability. What's the idea here?

HYP is a very complex coin. As a full member im suprised your just hearing about it now. It has inflation control mechanisms so that inflation does not get out of control. As more coins are being minted the pos difficulty rises to slow inflation. Larger coin blocks are required to stake in the least time possible. Because larger coin blocks are required to stake in the least amount of time, this raises the demand and thus raises the price. Still keeping the 750% annual true. This is the short version. Youll find thousands of satisfied investors here, and the best devs in cryptoland. Youll find it VERY hard to find someone who actually holds Hyperstake that is disappointed. Read the thread, youll see.

Damn, I actually did a good job of explaining that well. hmm.. @presstab you have my permission to post this to the op. It might be an easy way for people to understand.

Guys I have a blog geared specifically towards high pos coins. I want so bad to use this coin and CANNOT get the wallet working. Im on the latest 1.4.2.2. Im not kidding when I say Ive tried it on atleast 6 different computers, mostly ultra high end with i-7's and 16-32gb ram. A fresh wallet with nothing in it will download and launch, and near the end it will crash. "Orbit coin has stopped working". Ive tried to downoad and sync on atleast 6 different computers and same result. A few people said to turn staking off by using different commands in the .conf file and appending the .exe shortcut. Neither works.. so what gives!?!? I want to list you on http://bitcoinlasvegas.net/category/highest-percent-proof-of-stake-coins/ badly with all the other high pos coins. Now I just learned its changing to Neoscrypt. As an owner of 250 mhs of scrypt, I need to get my butt in gear and get this wallet working and mine what I can while its still scrypt.

Edit : FINALLY got this to work. Key was to backup and move to desktop wallet.dat. Download the bootstrap/blockchainfile, delete all in the data folder, unzip blockchain, sync, and put wallet.dat back. FINALLY. Posted this for anyone else having issues. Blockchain can be found on op.

Setup the way I explained earlier you can get them running over 24mh/s each with single digit hw errors and <1% regects, and no heat issues running 24/7. I get 220mhs out of 9.. 40mhs more than zues claim. Rock solid running for weeks. Still not sure why you have hot wires. I have 9 of them overlocked to the max and the wires are not even warm, and I have not cut anything. If the wires are hot on the asic side, it means the gauge is too small, replace with much thicker wire, but again, I didnt make any hardware mods, I just removed that crappy adapter and pluged the asic wires direct into psu. FYI, clock speed is 255.

Well... Im mining on Diamond Multipool that uses nicehash. Is there anything I can do to force the difficulty? I remember there use to be a setting I could add after my wallet id to force a higher diff on my S2 , but cant remember what it was...it was +.01 something.

No soldering required, the pci-e connectors plug directly into the power supply from the blades. NOT all power supplys can do this. I tried 5 different high end power supplies before finding the EVGA 750 that could plug direct.  I get 24-25mhs  @ 260 clock with single digit hw errors. 5-9% usually, and no rejects, and never a shut offf, ever.

Let me be more specific: The power supply I use is the EVGA 750 supernova nex G. Purchased from Newegg. What makes the direct plug in possible is by removing the pci-e modular cables on the EVGA, youll find that the pci-e female connectors on that power supply fit perfect with the zeus thunder X6. When I tried the same thing with 4 or 5 other psus the female modular connector on the psus would not fit. Hope this helps. So youll remove the pci-e cables from the power supply, and remove the adapter from the blade. Take the power cable from the blade and connect it direct into the pci-e connector on the EVGA. I plugged my cables in diagonal or "kitty corner' from each other, NOT on the same side as their were 4 pci-e connectors on the evga. Not that it would be bad to plug the cables on the same side, but I seem to remember that I had a few shut off issues due to power draw. This was resolved by plugging them the way I described. Good luck.

Good news, price is slowly moving back up on polo from 600ish to 800ish. If you want to support your community plz buy hyp. This will force the price back up and keep the upward momentum.

The Zeusminer X6 20Mh/s unit performs ok - but is super loud and the two PCIE connections to my Gold 850w Corsair PSU get quite hot sometimes, so I usually either cool it off for an hour each day or under-clock it.  I paid $300 for it about 2 months ago and used an existing PSU.

I personally own 9 of the Thunder X6 , and had the same issue with the searing hot PCI-E connectors. I tried everything. The solution was to take off the pci-e adapter and get a power supply that plugs in direct to the psu such as the EVGA gold 750. You do NOT need this adapter, and I feel it gets so hot its unsafe. Its the crappy thin wires on the adapters that gets so hot. With these adapters removed I can clock these at 260 mhz with about 5-7% hw rate and 24mhz all day long, and the pci-e wires on the power supply doesnt even get a little warm.
