C'mon buddy give us a little more

Buddy is very uptight about my march 1 to march 31 post race.

He knows he can only do 24 posts a day for 31 days = 744 post for march.

In theory I could easily do more than 1000 all I need to do is 35 posts a day.

Yeah I have to sleep but I am awake for 16 or 17 hours every day. So 35 a day is my goal and is possible.

I am Using EST time. at the moment it is 10:26 pm Feb 28 so this does not count  for me as a march post. 94 minutes or so before we start.

I had not heard of this.  A company called TeraWulf is going to mince BTC with a nuclear reactor in NE Pennsylvania.  (Not really that far from E. Palestine, Ohio.)  I'm kind of amazed that the greenies (and PA regulators and voters ) are going to let them do that.  Once they have the 15,000 miners planned, they will run about 0.5% of the world's total hashing rate.

This kind of thing is going to make home mining harder.

https://decrypt.co/122264/terawulfs-nuclear-bitcoin-plant-one-piece-green-mining-puzzle

Is home mining still a thing? I mean, average homes, not the bigger homes, probably built on bigger wealth.
If anybody starts mining at home nowadays, i think he will mine Shitcoins and convert them to Bitcoin, most of the time at least.
But regarding existing setups (in moderate homes), aren't times (current difficulty levels) hard enough, so that an increase of 0,5% of global hashpower, by a single miner, wouldn't add much of imbalances to the already existing ones? Well, it's definitely not positive for home based miners, true that.

I have 14 cent power in New Jersey

in the winter the heat is worth maybe 3-4 cents

so lets say 11 cents  a kwatt

a s19pro doing 100th makes 7 cents a th or 100 x 7 = $7.00

3kwatts an hour = 72 kwatts maybe 75 kwatts

x 11 = $8.20 for power vs $7.00 for earn means a $1.20 loss.

summer is far worse power is 17 cents and cooling is 3 cents  to 20 cents x 75 or $15.00 power cost. earning  $7.00 means a 8 dollar loss a day for summer.

NJ power rates  of 14 cents winter and 17 cents summer are decent rates for many states in USA.

Those numbers above kind of mean home mining is pretty much dead.

Only gear making money for a home miner is not a Sha-256 like the s19 pro

it is the L7 it makes $21 a day it burns in my home $8 in the winter and $15 in the winter summer.

so $13 profit a day in winter.
and $6 profit a day in summer

just think of it as shoveling shit to exchange for btc. Grin Grin

Hey all you low-carb Wall Observers!  Heads up!

Erythritol, a commonly used sugar substitute, seems to enhance blood clotting and can be dangerous for those already at risk of heart attack, stroke and clotting disorders should probably avoid it.

I use monk fruit.

much safer.

https://www.amazon.com/TEAki-Hut-Sweetener-Substitute-Friendly/dp/B08KGYJ4TL?

I use monk fruit and a bit of maple syrup.

As a diabetic with great cholesterol I make chessecake quite a bit.

Using the monk fruit and maple syrup make a very low carb cheese cake.

and topped with fresh whipping cream flavored with vanilla and monkfruit and maple syrup.

I can make a cheesecake with under 30 carbs for the whole cake.

don't use cream cheese use this:

https://www.shoprite.com/sm/planning/rsid/631/product/chavrie-goats-milk-cheese-00070551700537

2 of them                          = 2 carbs
2 eggs                              = 0 carbs
¼ teaspoon of monk fruit   = 0 carbs
1 tablespoon maple syrup  = 24 carbs
1 oz blanched almonds      = 3 net carbs
total carbs                        =    29

if I make the whipped cream

1 pint whipping cream       = 0 carbs
⅛ teaspoon monk fruit      = 0 carbs
1  teaspoon maple syrup    = 8 carbs

the monk fruit is sweet but has a citric after taste. the maple syrup knocks that out.

Food tastes good  carbs are low. 37-40 for the whole cake it serves 4

Just one more suggestion to both players and casinos.

A proper kyc for exclusions and a separate kyc for cashing winnings need to be properly explained

before betting starts.

It is needed to protect players and casinos.

This is the typical spam that I've received by email thousands of times. They won't get large numbers of messages on Bitcointalk. It doesn't look like targeted spam either, the link leads to paiatialdates.new and claims Alessandra lives 3 miles away from my Tor browser Cheesy

Lucky you. all I get in my spam in box is mails urging me to access some account to claim 0.698845BTC that I did not know I had, messages from wallet providers (of wallets I do not own) telling me to "update" my wallet or my funds would get lost and extremely profitable business offers from people I have never had the pleasure to talk before in my life.

It would not hurt to get some curvy women trying to scam me, for a change, before I clean my box.

My emails have told me hundreds of times about btc eth due to me

5188  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Suck or blow when adding a large external fan to a miner? on: February 27, 2023, 04:57:00 PM
The theory is that sucking is better because you don't add the heat of the fan itself. It also tends to attract more dust because its negative pressure for the miner.

So i guess it depends in your actual setup. If its well filtered with noise insulated ducts that reach the outside on both ends, i would go with suck. But if its something like no inlet duct or scooping air from the inside, maybe blow is better.

Obligatory reference:

With the likes of the infinity 8" you don't need any other fans at all. 800cfm is twice the required volume so it should be fine at 50% or less.

let me find the kit I used.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/304119146264

if you use braiins you can not worry about the fans at all

https://www.ebay.com/itm/285066554125. I used the 8 inch fan as it is a bit cheaper than the infinity and does 735 cfm more than enough

https://www.ebay.com/itm/203764567923 spoofers are cheap if you do not want braiins

there is a down side to doing this if the 8 inch fan fails the miner will overheat

Bitcoin is the most amazing Mathematical Wonder or Mathematical Miracle like Steve Wozniak said it once.

If you look at the below image you might see halving's block#, block reward and halving year.  But the most interesting column in this is Binary (sats).

Let me explain why...

Many people still think that bitcoin's 21 million limit is somehow hard-coded in its source code as a "number". Yes it is set in the code but it's not set as a number or like traditionally you might assume something like

CONST INT BITCOIN_MAX_SUPPLY = 21,000,000, not it's not like that.

It's pure math and algorithm, you might be amazed if you did not know this before that 21 million limit is not set in the code anywhere. But it's the reward that "Binary (sats)" column shown below is the logic that is enforcing the 21 million bitcoin limit.

If you notice after each halving that the binary column is shirking, in C++ terms it's called shifting. Shift or right shift in binary is technically like dividing any number by 2. So after each halving reward is divided by two and that binary is making sure it's done in a style. If you don't know this already that bitcoin does not deal in floating points or decimal numbers but only integers, so for example on at 29'th halving if you see reward is reduced from 9 sats to 4 sats (instead of 4.5) it is rounded off thanks to binary for keeping it simple from 1001 to 100.

Anyway, I saw this tweet and thought of sharing it Smiley

https://twitter.com/Peer__2__Peer/status/1629844105277722625

so in 2036 when I turn 79 the reward will be

0.39062500BTC

yep and by that time things will be a lot different than today.

Hoping to stick around to at least 2052 (I would be 95)

but in the next 13 years 2023 to 2036 we should see just how big a deal BTC will be.

I didn't get it from him or from other users. Even newbie never got permission to PM me because I prevented it with blue tick not activated, so how about you? Or maybe you will prevent it too after this?

Newbie with bad intention can send PMs to anyone they target, including well-known users like you. They can even deliver much more dangerous malware for security. So consider that blue tick not enabled in your private message settings.

Anyone that block newbies is allowed to do so.

I do too much business on the forum to block newbies.  So I have to wade through the bullshit ones.

What I find most incredible about this type of spam is that the fact that it still exists today means that many people still fall for this scam!
I think it's a combination of (sexual) desperation, gullibility and naivety. Even if only 0.001% of the people who receive the (email) spam fall for it, it's still profitable for the scammers.

I think this person is on the wrong platform, bitcointalk is not a fertile ground for his tricks.
I guess you weren't around when alia was active Grin

Desperation is the key 🔑.

If you are a guy and have been in a good space for years with your woman this type of pm is pretty much no threat.

But if you have had a breakup and are lonely you may say maybe I could get lucky.

So is this person sends out 1000 of these and gets a few replies it is worth doing.

Please note since I phrased this from my viewpoint it is not a reflection on any other style of sex life that you have.

But if you are in a good space you laugh at these pms.

And if you sex life is not working you may try it.

I posted here as I wondered how many got this one. From her or anyone else.
5193  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETCOIN.AG closing my account and keeping my funds on: February 27, 2023, 03:02:10 AM
I did a selfie like this for the KYC

never requested an exclusion, and this selfie was taken after funds were won and a withdrawal was requested.

Well my guess is they will likely do one of three things

A) show their exclusion system if they are legit and you are not legit as there would be two separate kyc ids that are clear proof of what they say happened.

B) blow you off and not refund your deposit and or give you your winnings.

C) tell you there is a mistake and pay you in full.

My guess is they won't do c also they really should come back here and talk about their kyc procedure for joining for collecting and for exclusion.

Many years ago I had bad gambling problems so a fair and true exclusion process should be in place.

I hope this is fixed the right way. I really would love to see the casino come back to the thread and explain the exclusion plan they do.

The ball is in their court.

I can tell you somebody is a liar but I do not know if it is the casino or the poster.

the fact the casino only mention an ip and a machine makes me think they fucked up as that is good enough to proof the was an exclusion request.

At the casino if all you have is ip and same machine that is not much and is pretty easy to spoof. You should thank the player for pointing this weakness out and go for cashing kyc and exclusion kyc from now on. waiting to hear what you have to say.
5194  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETCOIN.AG closing my account and keeping my funds on: February 27, 2023, 12:51:12 AM
actually this interests me quite a bit.

I am a compulsive gambler.

I go to a program

I have not bet in 32+ years. July of 1990 to be exact.

So the casino claims the better [jset21] did a self exclusion.

I know self exclusion rules at Atlantic City as I live in New Jersey.

But I do not know self exclusion rules for online casinos.

In a real casino in AC. you sign a document with witnesses (notary republic)

SO the real casino can easily prove you did sign the agreement and by law they do not have to pay any winnings.

I would love to know what the exclusion document on line looks like and how the casino proves you did submit it.

I would guess a selfie with a dated piece of paper that reads I want jset21 account to be excluded held with his drivers id

Since you have your photo id on line for kya . you would have to hold it along with the exclusion request when you take the selfie.

It that photo exists jset21 will simply get a refund and lose his winnings.

But if it is a signed statement from his ip the casino know his ip and could easily fake that.

So how does one go about getting excluded on your casino>

My method of holding drivers id and a piece of paper dated requested exclusion for the selfie should be gold standard.

I do know a lot of compulsive gamblers that went back to casinos hit big and got zip because AC casinos are very careful about the exclusion papers.

So far I do not see any info on this exclusion process for this casino.

Does bitcoin.ag have a selfie for id and a selfie for exclusion?

I mocked up an exclusion selfie.

The idea that ip's match is not enough but a selfie like the one below is pretty good.

Obviously a bigger piece of paper easy to read.

and maybe the other hand must touch your chest.

and when you do the normal kyc the hand should be at your side.

So far the casino has not described the exclusion process KYC at all.

So if you score  big at the casino you may be falsely excluded and not paid your winnings.

Since the casino is not paying winnings due to exclusion where is the proof?

an ip and a machine = no proof since you know the ip and the machine already.

Oh well.

I will be having some vodka tonight.

With how utterly clueless the media, governments and CIA are behaving I am starting to think we don't have that much to worry about at all.
All this stuff (mostly) seems to be scaremongering and even that they can't do right.

(not disputing the fact there aren't people in real problems due to assholes in foreign and in our own governments, but still MOST of the troubles we read just seems to be people trying to play with our minds and for their own gain I reckon. No eye for detail at all. If I were THAT bad at my job I would have been fired long ago. Guess I should have gotten a job in the media or government, you can get away with any old shit)

The first step to being free is just accept we are not getting out of here alive.

Next step is get BTC

Next step is vast majority of  politicians lie

Realize that and do not side with the left or the right as that is the trap they created for you to fall into.

This morning I woke up in no agonizing pain next to my lovely wife who is not is agonizing pain. A win. for one more day.

Hoping to make that same statement for the next morning.

What coin should I buy to get a guaranteed profit in 2 years?
In this case, the choice is yours.

Nobody talked about "guaranteed profit" but chances as high that you can make profits given that the market is already down.
Bitcoin for example was $16K not so long ago, today it's $23K. Is $32K (100%) hard to achieve any time?

Doge was $0.07 not so long ago, today it's $0.08... is $0.14 hard to achieve in the next one or 2 years?

I am talking about realistic targets here given the time frame I stated. Ethereum POW is gone. Can you even dream of turning $3K to $6k in the next 1 or 2 years, mining in this bear market using a 3k mining gear?

Quote
What if you need money and sell coins at a lower price?
Why would you sell at a low price?
What if you need money to pay for bills, and you sell the mined coins at a low price after investing the $3K. Does it make any sense?

Mining gives a constant and guaranteed profit every day if you have inexpensive electricity and you can service your mining farms yourself.
IF electricity is inexpensive. I know there are very few places where electricity is not expensive. Now what if OP is not from such an area, what advice do you give him?

I was only giving him an alternative and it's surely not bad.

well this is a very interesting question about dreaming to make 3k into 6k via mining.

I purchased 10 l3+ for 1000 usd in december 2022. they use 7kwatts an hour or 170kwatts a day100

or 5100 kwatts a month they are about 5gh and earn 15 a day that is 450 usd earned

and in my home it would be 700 power cost.  but at my mine 225 power cost.

so I got back 675 in profit.

now back to if i had them at home i would have burned 2100 in power save 300 on heat.
net 1800 to run them earned 1350 in coin.

so 1800-1350= 450 loss and they cost 1000 so 1450 out of pocket.

but they are selling for about 200-250 so 10 x 200= 2000-1450= 550 profit in three months if i kept them at home.

L3+ are not very loud and they are very reliable.

5199  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: An honest answer on mining with solar on: February 26, 2023, 08:20:21 PM
Something else to keep in mind is that unless there is a grid-tie or one helluva battery bank to keep the miners running 24x7, having the miners cycling on & off every day will put large thermal stresses on the chip/heatsink interfaces and the multitude of solder joints in a miner. Miners run HOT and the large temperature swings will not be good...

Battery is a killer.

A 10000 watt panel setup gives five to six hours of full power in a day

so 50000 to 60000 watts in a day.

grid tied 2- 2.4 kwatts every hour if you can grid tie.

battery you dont get that much cause you cant run the batteries down to zero.

a 10000 watt panel setup means maybe 1.5 kwatts cause you run the batteries to 40% full.

so you lose 24kwatts in power for the same panels.

worse the batteries die in five years maybe three maybe six.

so you lose daily power and have to buy batteries.

grid you don’t lose any of the solar to battery safety and the grid acts as a free battery.

my solar array would not work in many states. but it works in any state that the power company does a fair net meter setup.

so a grid tied setup allows 90-95% of the panel rating and the battery setup allows 40-50% of the panel rating.

To be honest to run a profitable battery setup is close to impossible.
