521  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PAUSED] ASICMiner Prisma 1.4th/s - 1.47 BTC on: November 12, 2014, 06:04:15 PM
I was up and running fine with my Prisma this morning, until I restarted to miner to update a few pools.  Now it's spitting out "BET0: Unexpected value 00 received" errors (many every second) while it hashes.  Any thought on this--I've seen a couple people with the same issue, but no solid solution yet.

Cheers!

From Settings change from CGminer (ASICMiner Fork) to CGminer (RockMiner Fork) - SAVE & RESTART then change back to CGMiner (ASICMiner Fork) - SAVE & RESTART.

Not sure who mentioned this solution previously but it has been working for me.

Cool, I'll give that a try.  Others have suggested restarting cgminer, so maybe this is one and the same.  I'll report back.

I've got Minera running on my rPi now, but I can't seem to get it to save settings or start mining.  I had my Prisma running on the BE controller earlier today, so I presume I'm doing something wrong on the Pi.  Any thoughts?

I checked the SD to make sure it wasn't write-locked, and moved the UART to the other USB slot, just to see.  Still nothing.

Cheers.

Are you using my image or manual install? Cgminer main branch or ASICMiner branch?

Try shelling in as minera and run screen -r to attach to the cgminer instance. Make sure there aren't any errors. If the screen session doesn't exist, maybe cgminer is failing to start. You can always try kicking it off from the command line to see if it returns any errors.
I ended up just blasting the SD card and dropping your image, it's up and running now.  Cheers.

Are the miner/seller ports down (3334/sha)..?

Up for me on westhash.
Up for me, too.

Clocking @ 250, handles in, powered by DPS-1600BB's, 8 PCIe plugs per Prisma, Real Perf Hash Rate = 2885 GH/s, Hashing to BAN-Hash rate is ~2750 GH/s
All the screws on the hash boards were loose, some more than others, some so loose they were about to fall out.

Initially powered them with 2x EVGA 1300's feed with 120V and 4 PCIe cables per Prisma, Kill-A-Watt indicated @ 240 they were drawing 1250W each, @ 270 they were drawing 1350W each.
The PCIe cables were slightly more than warm to the touch, regardless.

Hence the shift to DPS-1600BB's which can supply 1800W each and 8 PCIe's per Prisma.

Data Center Temp is 70F-80F.

The BE also seems to get confused after an hour or so if worker difficulty is greater than 1024 and stops hashing.
Hash rate indicated on the machine is normal, but pool reports 0.
Worker diff currently locked to 512. Testing.
Thanks for the Kill-A-Watt data, I appreciate it!

Are you still looking to sell these?
Yep, sent you a PM--was AFK on Sunday.

gl with those Prisma's...you are going to need it  Tongue

I know some people have been having problems, but mine have been ticking away since I fired them up.  They sit in a DC, though, so maybe the 220 and < 64 degrees keeps things sane.  Who knows.  I'm sure I'll break something trying to cram them into the S2 case.

In reality, I should probably just build a rack-mountable solution myself, but using the S2 case sounds ... fun?

I created a franken S1 rig using my old Avalon Gen 1 case!
Awesome!  You have pics?

Hey guys and gals!  I'm replacing my S2 with AM gear next week, and so I have 10 good S2 cards available for sale to anyone who needs a spare.  I've got three that don't have working temp sensors and seven that do.  All boards hash at full speed, and none of the cards have been overclocked.

I'm going to be using the S2 case to create a FrankenPrisma, so I only have the cards available.  I suppose the controller board is available too, although I had problems with this unit so there may be issues with the controller or the backplane.  Let me know if you want any of those pieces and you can pay me after you verify they work!

I'm holding onto the PSU because I'm crazy.

tl;dr: if you need a spare S2 hashing card, I have ten available that are known to be in good working order! Drop me a PM and we'll work out a price!

Cheers.

I am running an evga g2 1000w on 2 boards and a corsair cx750m on 2 boards
BTW the corsair wires get warm I saw people saying 2 of these to run the prisma i would say better to have the evga 1300 less watts but wires are better
I'm running with the EVGA G2 1300 without an issue so far.  Let us know what you find out if you start troubleshooting the PSUs.

Plenty of juice if the PSUs are good.  Is the drop on your statistic page across the board, or on the same chains every time?
533  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PAUSED] ASICMiner Prisma 1.4th/s - 1.47 BTC on: November 08, 2014, 10:06:40 PM
anyone else have issue where the prisma comes up great but within in hour it just keeps losing hash down to like 700gh/s? I am using the BE controller atm until adapters arrive

That may be a PSU issue.  You might try chaining just two boards up and seeing if it acts saner, then try the other two boards and see if you can determine a bad board.  If everything runs full speed with two boards, try three.  What type of PSU do you have?
534  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PAUSED] ASICMiner Prisma 1.4th/s - 1.47 BTC on: November 08, 2014, 09:10:30 PM
Which version of cgminer are you using?  Is it the official AM one or just the latest cgminer version?  How was the set-up?
I'm using the BE controller until my USB adapter arrives.  It's "BE200 Jet Stratum Miner V 5.47"
535  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [PAUSED] ASICMiner Prisma 1.4th/s - 1.47 BTC on: November 08, 2014, 08:50:36 PM
So I've been scouring the forums, please forgive me if I missed the obvious answer.

This is the first bit of AM gear I've had recently, and I'm curious about the number of dupes I'm seeing on ghash.io.  It averages out to about 6%, which seems a little high to me.  I'm running a Block Erupter controller, although I should have the rPi running next week.

The machines are running 99.5% efficiency on the back end, and I've seen no PwrDns and the HWe is 0.1.  Anyone else seeing similar results?  I'm 30 minutes from the DC on the weekends, so I'm hesitant to reboot.

Let me know what you guys think!

Cheers.
536  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter Prisma (>=1.4 T/device, 0.75-0.78 W/G, <1 BTC/T, October Shipping) on: November 08, 2014, 05:03:54 PM
I have the BE Controller, and it works somewhat. I use GHASH.IO, but it's bouncing all over the place. My other no-name dragon type miner is more stable. Hopefully they have a software update for this BE controller soon. Or maybe it's just Ghash.io's fault.
I've been running for 12 hours on a BE controller on ghash with no problems, so I'll throw my hat in the "things appear to be working fine" ring.

Hilarious.

Communication is more than a little cryptic (they refer to miners as "mills" for some reason) but overall communication has been solid, letting me know when they were online and ready for me to enter pool info.
This made me giggle--I'm going to refer to my gear as "Bitcoin mills" from now on.

Hey guys and gals, I just want to take a minute to show some appreciation to CG for the hard work he puts in for his group buy participants.  His level of communication is stellar, and the way he has handled delays outside of his control has been top notch.  If we've got any lurkers still waiting to pull the trigger on group buys (either this one or one in the future) I would highly suggest working with CrazyGuy.

I've not even been drinking, scout's honor!

If this is the case see above where I say I can't type "-" while in the RPi (minera) terminal.
Can you input the "-" character into anything?  Does it work in an address bar or text editor?
Yep everywhere else it works fine. Including the terminal on my Ubuntu machine.
Yeah, there's no reason I can think of that it should accept it--it's a pretty commonly used character in the terminal.  I was trying to determine if it was a keyboard error, but it's obviously not!

Do you have a ~/.inputrc file?  Can you post the contents of that here?
