523  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 within 3 years? on: April 26, 2014, 12:00:53 AM
about 20%

3 years is not much, and I doubt it can go so high with pure speculation. I mean it must be super easy to convert to BTC (like at every ATM) or much more people need to get paid in BTC.
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Smart to sell at a loss in anticipation? on: March 28, 2014, 11:54:35 PM
It is always gamble waiting for higher or lower price, so whatever you do, gamble responsible Smiley
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping Nxt and here's why you should too on: January 12, 2014, 09:28:01 AM
I don't see Cryptocurrency as a get-rich-quick-scheme. It is a matter of changing society with new ideas and innovation.
NXT bring some serious innovative ideas and principles. It doesn't matter the current price. It was the same at the beginning of Bitcoin : no one wanted it. You could just buy a pizza with 10000 BTC. Now look at what you can afford with 10K BTC.
It is only the very beginning of NXT, people cannot imagine how big it will be.

NXT is the best long term investment. If you say the contrary, you are a troll.

Greed will cost you money most likely, best is wait at least one year if NXT becomes somehow usefull before buying even single NXT  (the first two sentences is good advice)
526  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie miner needing help on: January 12, 2014, 08:57:29 AM
I got into btc mining a few days ago and i have a question

i was wondering how long does it take for the unconfirmed reward to become confirmed?

this is also my first post

Depends on the pool, probably about 120 confirmations, or about one day
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest way to cash out bitcoins? on: January 07, 2014, 05:42:54 PM
You might sell using localbitcoins, if you use coinbase, you definitively need to give your identity
528  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin network is rejecting Bitcoin microtransactions on: January 07, 2014, 05:27:12 PM
The Bitcoin network does not reject microtransactions. Instead, almost all nodes simply refuse to relay them and almost all mining pools refuse to include such transactions in blocks. If you can find a mining pool willing to include microtranscations in blocks, and you send your transaction to them directly, it will be accepted by the Bitcoin network. Good luck with that, though.

The issue is Bitcoin network must be managed fair.
Satoshi declared every Bitcoin microtransaction, single satoshi transaction is valid and must be verified to be valid.

It looks new developers violate basic terms of Bitcoin rules, as implemented by Satoshi.

Please try BTC 0.000ooo01  self microtransactions, as endorsed by Satoshi, founder of Bitcoin
and report problems via

Sending BTC 0.000ooo01 is valid transaction, but you have to modify the Bitcoin client and solo mine the block with this transaction yourselves
529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Greetings! Block reward halving question on: January 07, 2014, 05:15:58 PM
I am new here. I am interested how exactly coin emission decrease (halving) is corelated with it's price. Bitcoin reward halved only one, but it's price rised thousands of thousands times. What is the major factor of coin's price?

Bitcoin reward halving has minimum inpact on price, because daily mined coins represents only small part of daily trade volume
530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paypal discussion... on: January 06, 2014, 11:04:24 PM
Paypal accepting bitcoin would make the value of bitcoin even higher than it is now ... after the news of zynga potentially accepting bitcoin for payment for their social online gaming, btc hit 1000 usd ... i don't even know what would happen if paypal accepted bitcoin LOL if the higher ups of paypal were smart, they would adopt bitcoin! it's time to evolve

Seems the problem is they will be unable to reverse Bitcoin withdrawals from stolen PayPal accounts
531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Much Do You Think Crime Affects BTC? on: January 06, 2014, 10:54:17 PM
Crime can also be done with government currency.  Undecided

In fact it is much easier with cash than Bitcoin
532  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many posts until I can private message on: January 06, 2014, 10:49:17 PM
I need to get a hold of a member on here who wrote a guide. How many posts until I can send a PM??

Just one. Maybe wait like 10 minutes if you still cannot send PM
533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 0/unconfirmed transaction... 0.5+ BTC up for anyone who can help me on: January 06, 2014, 10:38:09 PM
My client still says the transaction is 0/unconfirmed however blockchain shows it as spent.

You may try start Bitcoin-qt with -rescan to correct the 0/unconfirmed error
534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is at $1,000 - will it ever go lower again? on: January 06, 2014, 12:00:10 AM
Very likely under $1,000 again, because of corrections or bad news
535  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whats is your IQ? on: January 05, 2014, 11:46:47 PM
Do I have select in pool vote what I think my IQ is, or the crappy value I got from IQ test? Because I was so disgusted I didnt try to take the test again.

BTW your IQ goes up the more tests you take and get familiar with the tests

537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My awesome website for generating truly secure OfflineAddress.com on: January 04, 2014, 10:55:11 PM
I was sick of how the whole world ignores the problem with bad randomness when generating Bitcoin addresses, and how everyone thinks that anything created with PSEUDORANDOM numbers is secure.

BitAddress.org uses your mouse movements to help initialize seed. It is not good enought ?
538  Economy / Speculation / Re: I predict BTC/USD will fall to $2 by December 31, 2013 on: December 29, 2013, 10:38:19 AM
BTC value should be around 2-10 dollars.
My argument is the following: WorldCoin costs less than a dollar despite the fact that they will be minted roughly only 10 times as many as BTC so the long term BTC/WDC should be 0.10 BTC/WDC. This gives the BTC estimated value being less than 10 dollars...

Only in world where WorldCoin is as much used/popular as Bitcoin.
539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So many crypto currencies, so many questions. on: December 21, 2013, 01:10:38 AM
So I have one more question now. If I already have an address can I use it on bitcoinaddress.org?

bitcoinaddress.org is used for generating paper wallets only

And can I do it with other cryptocurrencies?

liteaddress should do the same, never used it though and dont know if it is secure. Other altcoins dont have paper wallets generator afaik
540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should i mine first? on: December 21, 2013, 12:50:07 AM
dogecoin is known scam with 95% of coin premined by small group of people. Try IFC or NVC.

Does not matter, mine -> exchange to Bitcoin or $ immediatelly -> profit
