521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: September 20, 2016, 12:07:18 PM
Let's say I generate a new address and by some miracle it has Bitcoin already in it belonging to somebody else. Is it legal to just take it? I understand those odds are very low, no need to lecture me, I'm just interested.
If you generated a new address it's all fresh , but in the accident you generatedly a fresh bitcoin wallet address and suddenly miracle happens accidentaly you are receiving approximately 0.5 bitcoin what will you doo? Aren't you guys not going to send it back from the owner? Or you just Ignored it and thanky to the them. LoL

How very low, in mathematical numbers? pow(2, 512) ?
There once has been a webpage containing each and every BTC address. Just has been faked up by generating the pages on demand.
522  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you store your fiat currency? on: September 20, 2016, 12:01:57 PM
Well, it is too early to store all one's money in Bitcoins. And a bank account is pretty much essential in dailiy life. I store %90 of my fiat currency in bank accounts with good intrest.

Beat me, same here.

Except some higher percentage in paper bills and gold coins, wall mounted strongbox mostly protected by my own presence.
Local interest rates are not even noteworthy.
523  Other / Off-topic / Re: Social anxiety disorder on: September 20, 2016, 11:56:53 AM
You have to pray for strength to overcome it, brother  Smiley

Anxiety can be fought in small doses, tiny exposure. Some people (known faces), small crowd, huuge crowds later onwards. Baby steps.

A religious community is indeed a good surrounding. Medication ... not so, it's just chemical stuff that shifts your mind as long as it lasts, than the next dose has to be bought.

Stay calm. It is only a paper loss. If you are feeling nervous, you can sell your btc to members here. members here will be glad to buy it.

Stay cool.

Exactly. Panik beeing the worst advisor. The Halving Effect still beeing due, I would load up small heaps instead. Christmas time beeing the better point for sales.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big LTC crash soon on: September 10, 2016, 03:07:26 PM
I heard these talks several times , but I think it is not true , LTC still between best five coins according to coinmarketcap , and as Bitcoin price is moving up , LTC is moving up as well , so LTC performs its main role until now , what you are saying is hard to happen .

And absolutely no proof given, just absolutes. Considering the existence of Scrypt ASICS, LTC should be as stable as BTC has proven.
527  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: September 10, 2016, 03:03:25 PM

528  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: September 10, 2016, 02:28:23 PM
Toppics sounds like investing opposes safety. And indeed, that's the working mechanics. But now about risk ballancing: one can do both, and ballance out risks vs. safety

Just doing "nothing" with your money, leaving it idly, I would advise against doing that.
529  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: September 10, 2016, 02:26:30 PM
How safe is it?
If you do not mind spending the money to buy a bitcoin, then in the future you might be waiting for a reward for your purchase. Bitcoin is forecast can only grow, although we were witnessing when bitcoin fell very sharply. But the risk can ever be justified.
Suggest can be anything, but today bitcoin valued $ 620-640, and spend the money on bitcoin not everyone can. It is better to give advice to finish bitcoin and then success will not keep you waiting.

Bought 0.1 BTC today. Small slices, steadily.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: September 10, 2016, 02:25:34 PM
There have been Casascius coins. As close to Fiat, as it can get. https://coinfirm.org/ebook

Some halfways trusted authority should stamp Paper Wallet Bills in small denominations. Easily testable by smartphone wallet address scan using QR codes. Where the Private Keys are NOT stored on the paper bill, but inside the authority building where you can exchange these for something valueable other asset (nutrition tin cans)
531  Economy / Speculation / Re: SHOULD BUY BITCOIN RIGHT NOW OR WAITING FOR THE END OF THE YEAR 2106? on: September 10, 2016, 02:19:13 PM
Buy now.

You will wait too long for the end of the year 2106. Smiley

But his patience impressed me  Cheesy
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a good way to store money? on: September 10, 2016, 01:31:03 PM
It depends on how you define storage.  If you are talking about weeks or months, even longer, then depending on the method or wallet that you use, you should be good.

On the long range, there is gold coins, most obviously.

In a midrange, stick with money bills.

For the adventure right now, go for Bitcoin. It's future is still uncharted territory.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Coin is being developed, your feedback is greatly appreciated! on: September 10, 2016, 01:28:59 PM
If it utilizes a Blockchain, and the usual Mining process, it's not really new nor is it development. There are allready thousands of similar copies of that same old concept out there.
Dont mess your time on collecting the fresh top trending buzzwords, just to paste them over your own copy of a coin.

Try something Blockchainless. Somehow highly concurrent. Distributed. Think outside of the box! Create something formerly unknown.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: September 10, 2016, 12:26:22 PM
I know jl777 is a famous developer. But can someone summarize how many ICOs he launched and how many he delivered? I read somewhere that he likes to abandon projects.
I think a better way to put it is that JL takes on too many projects and 95% of the projects that he announces get indefinitely postponed or cancelled because another ground-breaking idea pops in his head. I think its a bit of ADD. edit - nothing personal intended only observational claim here Undecided

The common best practise of a genius mind. And we are here for the precius black swan which might pop up sometime, right?
Not to mock about the laboratory chaos during built times. Don't disturb the artist.

Looking forward to BTCD 2.0 happy about my old bag gaining value again, and some future evolution forecasts.
535  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining bitcoin with GTX 960M is ok or not, help me plz on: September 09, 2016, 11:12:04 AM
Please don't mine with your laptop, you may end up burning it..

Exactly. Fire hazard due to lithium batteries. If you do, remove that battery and run on wall socket.
Regarding the outcome some allready mentioned Altcoins. If you want to mine, take a glance at Ebay for some used ASIC parts.

537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: August 28, 2016, 01:03:00 AM
I think price on 31/09/16 possible 0.014-0.024

There is no such thing as an 31/09/16 on the calendar. This day does not exist!
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: August 28, 2016, 12:31:09 AM
It may take up to one day to see the coins transfer successfully. How long have you been waiting?. Wait atleast 24 hours. I once got it after 8 hours.

Why is that?

Blocktime is 2 minutes. Red flag Bter.
539  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is Bitcoins going to die? on: August 26, 2016, 06:50:34 PM
Bitcoin will never die bitcoin is very strong alternative to any payment processor online..  also many stores right now are accepting bitcoin and many company are willing to adopt it.. so its impossible that bitcoin will die..

I recently discovered Okaypay as an alternative upon Paypal. Bitcoin cannot conquer any of those
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralisation is a dream on: August 26, 2016, 06:02:02 PM
The cancer is all about Mining Pools. We don't need no ASIC resistance, we need pool resistance.

Trading sites are another matter. There are approaches of decentralized trading platforms allready on their way.
