521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla Overtakes the Combined Crypto Market Cap - $380 billion market cap reached on: August 25, 2020, 11:32:33 AM
What will you do if crypto market cap reach $1 trillion?
I'll take profit if it reaches to $1 trillion market cap. Price by that time will be on estimation of $50,000 - $54,000. As much as I want to drive a Tesla if ever bitcoin's market cap reaches to that high or will surpass $1 trillion market cap, I don't think it's worth for me.  Cheesy

The tenure is what makes bitcoin greater. We're on the right path so we just have to hold until bitcoin surpass those big tech companies market cap or even reach next to it.
Agreed. I will also do the same, besides I am not much of a fan of Tesla. And Bitcoin is not also some kind of company, so I will just take the profit.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you lost money on Bitcoin you either bought in the red or you didn't hodl on: August 24, 2020, 02:35:46 PM
keep buying bitcoin, because we know that bitcoin will still exist today, even in the future the prediction of bitcoin will go up high will prove to be one big surprise, so hold bitcoin is the best option and forget about losing

Keep buying bitcoin needs more analysis because bitcoin price will not just stay at one lower price, but the price can go down and touch another lower price. So you need to analyze more when bitcoin price is down, so you can get bitcoin at a low price, even if the price is down, you can buy back again to get another low price. I remember what happen with bitcoin when the price touches the last ATH, and suddenly, the price is going down too deep for almost 3 years. People lose so much money from bitcoin, and many of them desperate to see their money reduce a lot. But right now, some of them are happy because bitcoin price can increase more than $10k, so they can recover their loss.
I agree. Every decision must be made though analysis first of the possible consequences by doing so. You have established a concrete example here and I could not agree more. I am hoping that this development would continue.

523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: August 24, 2020, 02:01:34 PM
Ripple and Bch are both shit, so is neo and eos, don't take your investment advice from some dweeb who writes for Yahoo.

I would only long-term hold Bitcoin and ethereum right now and the I would never touch ripple.
It depends on how OP treated those coins. If he was driven by hype or he researched about his investment plan. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best coin to hold because majority of coin movement depends upon them. Ripple is also a good investment today because it has a strong fundamentals but it has a lot of fudders as well. If I am goin to invest in a coin, I make sure that it has utility and future use. Such as ethereum and bnb.
Totally, especially during this pandemic a lot of people became enthusiasts of cryptocurrency, they are investing with Bitcoin and Ethereum since these are the most known coins. I would also choose Bitcoin and Ethereum if I am to hold a coin.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on Bitcoins: Unreasonable or essential? on: August 23, 2020, 02:40:52 PM
Indeed, the government is thriving because of its resources and the tax being generated from its people. But I do not agree unto the taxation of Bitcoin, as it is not a property of the government. Unless it was converted into flat, then they have the power to ask tax then.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: August 22, 2020, 03:46:23 PM
Upon reading this post, I just realize how much I did not pay attention with these things. Thank you for posting these facts! I am really curious about the affiliation of the church and religions with gambling since the teachings are against it tho.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sports do you think that can resume amid Covid-19 scare. on: August 21, 2020, 02:05:12 PM
After over 5 months we have set up a protocol on how to avoid this pandemic and because of this protocol any business and industries and sports events can go back as long as they can follow the protocol laid out by the experts of course it only applies to sports participants but not audiences or viewers.

Best would be to keep focusing on sports that are played outdoor like football or sports that are done with a few people, like boxing or billiard, where only 2 opponents are needed. The biggest risk to be spreading the corona virus with sports is the not by the participants, but the viewers. Crowding thousands of people closely together in stadiums seems like a huge risk in my opinion. The first step would be to resume all the major sports again and only be able to watch them on TV, as is already be done with football tournaments.
Agree, the lesser participants in a sports tournament, the lesser risk in COVID-19. But I know that athletes have a good immune system even though they're getting positive of COVID-19, there is less risk but we should remember that risk is still a risk. This shouldn't be the protocol only, they should implement a lot of protocols that will secure the safety of all the participants.
Yes, I agree with you both. Maybe it would be of help if there would be only audiences, for these people to get their tests first if they are covid carrier or not before entering the venue. Protocols should be prioritized since there is a great risk when lots of people gather in one place.
527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this considered cheating? or Ilegal? on: August 21, 2020, 01:00:00 PM
snip....
It looks like a scam or probably a big fish for them to catch players in which they can easily to persuade to play on their side. They are fooling those people who are easy to get that's why as a gambler we should be aware on playing in a specific website in order for us to avoid scams like that.
If it is reputed gambling site means more whales are playing there and also their wager amount is lot bigger, probably they could involve in selective scamming on big bets but if they repeating them means no one will be playing their so how they are maintaining as one of the biggest casino. So I guess this is legit typo issue if if they uses the right hash calculator then it is probably can be verified its fairness.
Most gambling sites are always claiming to be the one of the biggest casino and even showing big bets that won and lose to attract gamblers to hop in their site. They're probably keep on maintaining scamming people and letting some gamblers win and let them lose once they became greedy which is one of the weakness or even sickness of gamblers.
It's probably a legit typo but that could damage the website a lot as it affect their probably fair rules. And a 5$ compensation for a crucial issue that can compromise their site is garbage.
I agree with you, I am really skeptic about this scenario here. When their reputation of legitimacy and being fair is at stake, even for a small mistake such as "typo" as they say, he compensation they made is not really justifying.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: question concerning a type of raffle on: August 20, 2020, 03:27:50 PM
Would this be considered gambling? Is there even a chance that this could or would work here on the forums?

Yes this is definitely gambling because you put in 10$ and have a 1/100 chance of winning, like any lottery. I think this is a good idea for this forum. There are many trusted users here who would easily function as escrow and another for lottery management. Some part of the winning would need to be used as fees for the two.

The only problem I would assume would be choosing which numbers to pick. Easiest would be if you assign the 100 participants a random number but I bet people would prefer to choose their own numbers. But then most people would try to pick their lucky numbers like 3,6, 13, or 19. It could be hard to fill all 100 numbers.

I do not need escrow (I provide escrow on these forums) I also do not need someone to manage it (I will) and there is no fee for myself - the goal is to raise funds for a charity not myself.

I was thinking to let people pick their own numbers - I do see your point in that some may not participate if they do not get their number - so that would be an issue as well if the numbers were randomly assigned as well.
Yes, this is among the many forms of gambling. I was wondering if this plan of yours is going to be conducted in different site if not, how will be the process of participation? And you have mentioned that this for a charity? What specific charity is it?
529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in a good shape? on: August 20, 2020, 03:04:00 PM
Wow, 2 years is a long time, where have you been mate? Bitcoin is definitely getting better through the days, there might be bad days but still, it gets better. The crypto world is thriving I must say.

530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank cards with hot wallets safety on: August 20, 2020, 02:10:27 PM
But what about bank cards with hot wallets?

Can you be more specific about what "bank cards with hot wallets" you're referring to? Do you mean like the Wirex or Monaco/Crypto.com card? If so, then yes. They're centralized services that could potentially get hacked. I'd say it's probably just very very slightly less risky than leaving funds on exchanges like Binance/Coinbase/etc.

If you have a good amount of bitcoin, just grab a hardware wallet dood. And just leave like $100 or something on your bitcoin debit card.
I definitely agree with you. If the main concern is with the possibility of your current wallet being hacked, hardware wallet would be the safest choice.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: August 19, 2020, 11:52:53 AM
I am a 2, 3, and 4 type of crypto investor. Although I have been here for quite some time now, I do not think that I have enough knowledge about all sorts here in crypto industry and I choose to play it safe by holding, buy low sell high.
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy Bitcoin Cheaper on: August 19, 2020, 09:15:23 AM
It is true that you can set your own price while trading on peer to peer trading platform but do you ever wondered why anyone has to sell their bitcoins cheaper than the market price, and also you need to remember if you are going to place a buying advertisement then higher the price will be in the top of the list and if you are setting too low fee means you will be on the last pages and no one ever see your ads.
I agree with this, The seller would obviously go for the top of the list because he can get better than anyone below that, There are other things you can do to buy bitcoin for a lower price but it is not the most practical compared in buying on a p2p websites.

One of the possible scenarios I think of in buying bitcoin cheaper than a market price is to wait for someone who needs to sell their bitcoin in a rush state and in the same local place as you are. Sometimes converting bitcoin into fiat takes time and selling it lower into your local place in a rush state is a logical thing to do especially if the seller badly needed cash. This scenario happen rarely but it is possible since I have done it myself.
Truly, this would be what most people who wants to sell Bitcoin would do if they wanna do it as soon as possible. As per your experience, I also had this experience when I had to go though an emergency situation, I'm just left the choice of converting my bitcoins into flat so I could have cash on my hands right away.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 18, 2020, 04:43:58 PM
That is some of the dilemma with the modern technology nowadays. Talking about gambling, no one knows who's behind the screen or an account, point taken that there is FAQ and the Terms of Services already but these are incidents that are almost uncontrollable. If gambling sites would implement more strict protocols then it may result to some players not being happy about that.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what new coins are promising? on: August 18, 2020, 04:00:02 PM
There are several projects joining the cryptocurrency industry daily and when looked carefully, one would fine some that seem promising, but don't be deceived because there are several projects singing their praises and blowing their own trumpet. The space is saturated with the Defi Project trends and many projects are adapting or including Defi features to remain competitive.
That is definitely true. Although there project that would take advantage of the hype to deceive investors, still there are great ones out there. So don't rush and take your time to research further in understanding it.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: August 18, 2020, 03:25:43 PM
I would choose not to reveal his identity because I respect his privacy. There are reasons why he hid his identity all these years. And I am not in a position who get to just disrespect his decision and cause trouble to him.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 17, 2020, 04:37:10 PM
I have never heard of this before. Innovation has a really enormous impact on everything. This is a very cool and unique idea but I am thinking of whom the primary market for this? Is this for high-end gamblers or is it accessible to anyone?
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in your ability to earn more. on: August 17, 2020, 04:11:20 PM
I think it is a good investment if you nourish your abilities, yes research is indeed important. But then knowledge and skills must be executed so you need to participate in trading activities and all that could give you experience and more learning of course. The soonest you gain both insights and experience then you can use it to earn.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC looking for more tools to track crypto on: August 17, 2020, 03:33:40 PM
What do you expect? for all we know, not only SEC but other agencies, specially IRS, in 2018 IRS Wants to Tax Your Bitcoin Gains: Orders Coinbase to Hand Over User Data. And then this year, RS Enlists Coinbase in Latest Crypto Tracing Deal. Perhaps what SEC want's is that they have their own tools, and it doesn't sound good.
Everywhere it is for the reason of taxation. With the user data being provided, governments easily keep track of the transactions, and this ease the process. In specific, better than the traditional money taxation can be done effectively. The job defined for SEC is to have a processed plan, so that it'll ease the risk for people as well as benefit the governments. The reality is that we can't trust the government for several reasons. Cheesy
Indeed. That's why Bitcoin is not affiliated and regulated by the government because for sure it will be just for their benefit, mostly. But for the purpose of stopping of illegal activities here, it is just fine.

539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 16, 2020, 02:39:48 PM
Well most of us are gamblers, but more people that go to Vegas are also tourists and vacationers who want to experience a good time in the city. It has been almost half a year after soft lockdowns were made in many world cities. And many of these tourists say that Covid will not stop them from going to Vegas and have a great time. Do you think is it still safe going to Vegas at this point in time?

Check: https://www.rgj.com/story/news/2020/07/24/covid-las-vegas-casinos-seeing-activity-reopening/5497892002/

Surely, Las Vegas is a famous destination for gamblers and tourist.Despite of the global pandemic happening people are not stopping from traveling. Although I must say that this time is not really a safe time to travel especially if it includes going in and out of crowded places such as airport. And as stated in the website, it would not be as much fun as it used to be because there are restrictions now and strict regulations to follow.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How fair is Provably Fair? Do you verify every bet as a gambler? on: August 16, 2020, 01:47:19 PM
I really learned a lot reading from here I never thought that provably fair might be not fair as well, whenever I see a "Probably Fair" option in the tab or somewhere the casino I just thought that they are fair already I think I should now start checking the casino on where I am currently playing.

You should check if the site offer you to verify the bets. If there is no option on the site to verify, then there is 80% chance that the site is not Provably Fair. I always try to play on sites which are transparent and offer to verify the games.

This thread will helped a lot of gamblers and if they are promoting their referral links to promote a gambling site this is a big help they can promote how fair the site by letting them check the algo, gamblers are comfortable in playing in a site that is known as fair.

I always feel comfortable in depositing money in the casino which are old ones and trusted. I do try new casino's but mostly play with the free money which they offer. Once I realize that the site is trustable, Provably Fair and no bad feedback reported, only then i deposit my money on those new gambling sites.

I feel the same way to since I can leave for a while without worrying about my money at the old sites compare to those new where they don't have any reputation to break and anytime they can run since they already got the funds of their gamblers. So for this discussion about fairness its truly better for us to go on olds since the assurance is 100%.

But for news I still doesn't have any guts to deposit on then and I just monitored first if they are reliable and looking for promotion and marketing conducted by them since by this it could tell that the site have bright future.
Well said. It is more easy to rely and be assured with old sites, especially those sites that are long known to be fair and has clear record. IT is really a must to check on these new sites and also pay attention to the feedback of those people who had experienced with them to avoid making mistakes.
