They have various clauses in their terms and conditions which will favor their side in a case like this: you'll have to pay them and go after the scammer to recover your loss, which ofc is very hard to do.
Most likely scenario. You really should try to avoid that situation for 500$. Or taking the risk hoping they'll drop the collection for that amount.
Or you can try with less ethical (and illegal) methods like throwaway accounts but it's tricky to do because you'll need a physical address to get the card and a lot of fake documents to verify the account/address.

They can come after you with a credit collector, and ofc close your account.
Ofc you can ignore and refuse to pay but it may result in legal actions (depending on the amount too).
Better to avoid it anyway.

I made >100s of BTC withdrawals from Bitfinex in the last months and it took more than 2 minutes in maybe 1-2 cases. I can definately state, that they are not "getting slower" or anything. Probably a whale cashed out and cleared the hot wallet.
Same, hope it's only a temporary empty hot wallet issue like I thought too. [EDIT] Update2: tried another 2 btc withdraw now and it went through nearly instantly. |

Same here, sent an email to support, a bit ago, but thought it was only an issue with my account. Withdrawals stuck in processing, one for over 2 hours now. These kind of issues have been pretty rare and they usually solve them quickly, let's hope cause it's causing me problems.

Per quanto riguarda l'utente scweps confermo una transazione legittima di 570€ appena conclusa. Ha seguito le istruzioni e mi ha fornito una ricevuta con scritte univoche. E' una singola trade, ma nulla di irregolare da segnalare da parte mia.

Per ora la mia posizione non cambia, anche con me inizialmente abbiamo avuto diverse transazioni lecite su skype con "franco lamberti" ma poi alla fine ha fatto lo scherzetto. scweps adesso ovviamente chiederà feedback positivi a destra e manca ma rimarrà comunque un utente con fare molto sospetto. IMHO Certo, possibile. |
