521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys think of scrypt.cc on: March 14, 2014, 04:06:58 PM
No one can, not just yet anyway Smiley

They've been active for over a month now and the first members put a lot of money in. If there was a time to take the money and run, it was then. In the mean time, more members are trickling in, still spending some Bitcoin, but others are enjoying pay outs.

No get-rich-quick thing. Do those still exist even?! But for people with long term vision this can be quite a good thing. Any khash you buy, mines btc into your pocket, and in the end you can sell those Khash's again. Compared to a Bitcoin Cloud contract where you purchase ghs for a year, if you buy Khash for the same amount you're roi will be much better eventually.

Does it compare to running your own hardware? No, of course not. But for people like me, without proper room for mining rigs, this is great. I've put a few bitcoins into it. So yeah, I think they're legit. And I sincerely hope they are. Getting so very tired of the immense amount of scams surrounding crypto currencies ...

523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: March 12, 2014, 11:27:34 AM
I know, I was just showing what to expect with some real time numbers and sites to check to help do your own math. Wish somebody showed me before I bought a cloudhashing contract, but I was the same as people here, I was more eager to believe all the lies and deceptions cloudhashing shows on their site and to jump in, then to accept solid facts and numbers.

Two possible rescues for me:
1 - difficulty doesn't go up anymore then the 20% per month max (or max 10% per difficulty jump. The next one later today will be historically low with an estimate between 11% and 12%)
2 - bitcoin price goes up to $2000 or beyond so I make up for the lost dollars. But even then I would have been WAY better off simply holding the BTC
524  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: March 12, 2014, 09:13:45 AM
Maybe check here also before you invest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=173316.msg5632280#msg5632280

You can check the difficulty here on this page: http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty
mobodicks 20% rise per month is rather conservative. It's actually closer to 20% two to three times per month instead of just once.

Currently the Gold contract will cost around 6BTC and I'm afraid it will mine not even half that amount during the contract period. So far cloudhashing has yet to come up with a decent reply on these concerns about the growing difficulty.
525  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services. on: March 11, 2014, 12:22:16 PM
Why not send such info to your customers ? I haven't been able to login for a day and a half and my requests for support have remained unanswered. I'll try the password thing, but I was blaming the 2FA, since that's been causing issues as well.

As for the ddos attacks, same thing is happening to scrypt.cc and others, I think. Load of crap from a small bunch of idiots  Roll Eyes
526  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: March 11, 2014, 10:00:36 AM
First, I will have to alter the numbers I posted in my previous message, but not by much. Current earnings is 1.38 and still a few days to go the 15th, then it's one month exactly. Maybe 1.5?!

Eventually the difficulty growth might decline, but that decline is still growth, and the first 6 months that's not likely to happen. Cloud Hashing has effectively taken my 5.2 BTC and will turn them into 2.6. And in the mean time they go on about how affordable their services are and how concerned they are for the MtGox victims as they care about the Bitcoin community. I'm also the Bitcoin community, yet they simply take my coins and cannot even get themselves to provide me with a decent answer to my concerns about the horrible return on investment. My fault, I should have done the math before I fell for their sales talks/lies.

I've complained a few times and each time I get nothing but the standard answer like I posted above, claiming that it's all one big lottery and that it's normal to not find a single block an entire day with 1500THs, so sometimes no payment at all. Doesn't seem like they really care. If they would, they'ld realize that more and more people are going to feel cheated and word is going to get out. Once their reputation is to hell, there's no turning back and people will run. At least they won't cheat that many people out of their coins then.

Their claims:

Our Vision
Making bitcoin mining easy and accessible to all.
- Emmanuel Abiodun, CEO

maybe true, but

Cloud Hashing makes the process of earning Bitcoins simple, scalable and cost effective for you.

is most certainly not true. Cost effective for whom?! Definitely not for the customer, as the customer loses half his investment.

And the revenue reinvestment progam,

A profit-growth model that continually extends our customers' earning period of Bitcoins to receive larger payouts over time.

is most certainly not true as you would need to double your total hashrate every month just to stay current on the difficulty growth. So, to receive larger payouts you would need to more then double your hashrate. Anything below doubling means your payouts will go down month after month.
527  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: March 10, 2014, 11:49:09 PM
I just noticed there are new contracts available. I'm tempted by the new Gold contract which works out to about $10.80 per Gh/s. Will someone talk me out of this?
No problem. I bought a Platinum contract in January, costs: 5.2 BTC for 420Ghs, available on Feb 15.

Now do the math:
Month 01 : 1.4 BTC (at most! With a few days to go it's 1.25 actually)
Issue, is of course rising difficulty. In general that difficulty halves revenue every month. Apply that to the remainder on the year contract:
Month 02 : 0.7 BTC
Month 03 : 0.4 BTC
Month 04 : 0.2 BTC
Month 05 : 0.1 BTC
Month 06 : 0.05 BTC
Month 07 : 0.0125 BTC
Month 08 : 0.007 BTC
Month 09 : 0.004 BTC
Month 10 : 0.002 BTC
Month 11 : 0.001 BTC
Month 12 : 0.0005 BTC

Total over 12 months : 2.877 BTC
Cloudhashing charges a whopping 10% fee, makes the total 2.58 BTC.

Lets see, I invested 5.2 BTC, I will make only half that.
Actual revenue: -2.6 BTC !!!!

Cloudhashing has also invented the RRP. That way you can spent your earnings on overexpensive GHs (that they'll charge you 10% for) so in the end you 'll end up even less...

I expect the results to be even worse. So far I've had two days without any payment at all. According to Cloudhashing support that is because there are days when they don't find blocks. 1500THs online and no blocks? Sure...

So... if anyone wants to be talked out of it, do your own math before buying. New Gold contract is 370Ghs for $3999. That's over 6 BTC at the moment! Even more then I paid for 420Ghs! At best bet you'll end up with less then half what you invested. If you need help on the math: one of the very best revenue calculators can be found here: http://www.evolyn.net/bitcoin/mining_calc.php
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: March 10, 2014, 12:07:00 PM
The Admin is quite open in (onsite) chat about coming things. This week will see a lot of improvements, amongst which 2Fa, which I'm eagerly awaiting, and a new layout and more, as Clean mentioned.
Private rigs meaning people who have a mining pc or rig at home that would like to point their hashing power towards the pool that scrypt cc uses (which is private pool) and see the earnings added to their account.

Why would the largest scrypt mining facility be impossible? There aren't many that do something like this as it would requiore a lot of gpu's still. Currently that is. Think about the power costs! Apparently scrypt cc has a great deal with the power company that would give them an edge over any competition with lesser deals.

So... Inside info, yes, but not so much for regulars in chat. So, no affiliation, rather enthusiasm Smiley
529  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: Welke coins bezit/bezat je het meeste van? on: March 09, 2014, 11:59:23 AM
Megacoin.

Megacoin should be in the book no matter how many or how little votes. Most coins have implemented the Kimoto Gravity Well, which originates from Megacoin. You cannot write a book and not mention such a widely integrated code.

So yeah, most coins have a piece of Megacoin in them  Grin
534  Local / Markt / Re: antminer 200gh/s hosting on: February 26, 2014, 10:39:08 AM
Pffft....
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to undo damge from Kimotos Gravity Well to crypto-ecosystem? on: February 25, 2014, 11:33:27 PM
Undo damage from KGW:

1 - Trade all your coins, Bitcoins, alt coins, future coins, the lot, for Megacoin (Kimoto's coin)
2 - Without other coins, no more coin hopping, problem solved.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [pandacoin] The Panda Coin ♥ Scrypt Adaptive-N w/Kimotos Gravity Well ★ on: February 22, 2014, 10:45:40 PM
If people want to continue with Pandacoin, then why worry about wolong holding a large portion? Does it matter? Even if he doesn't have large portions, he can buy himself in, especially at current price. He's probably already doing so right now, on a different wallet. So, yeah, he'll f*ck Panda again. Just like other coins, just like other people, probably all people. Again and again and again. Can you imagine him, sitting on his pile of BTC, and no one in sight for miles, except maybe for "friends" who are for sale to the highest bidder?!
Don't worry about it. Just rebrand the stuff and get rid of whatever reminds of wolong and go your own way.
537  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Oplossing tegen oplopende elektriciteits kost? on: January 26, 2014, 12:45:09 PM
538  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: koers verwachting on: January 20, 2014, 10:26:17 AM

-       Power figures as of now are looking good
o    5Mh<=70 watts
o    25Mh<=300 watts
