Quite a misleading thread title, OP.
+1 I'm really pissed of by this attitude, both in forum and in newspapers. +1 Please OP correct the title.

If we agree that the most used term is BTC, it seems logical to me to call mBTC its 1/1000 fraction. Likewise, I think that XBT and mXBT should be used, IMVHO, in technical/financial contexts.
SI metric prefixes and ISO standards seem to work pretty well: why don't comply with them?
Edit: I was referring to how I think they should be written. About the spelling, I think it isn't a big problem as the languages evolve by itself. milli-bit, for example, is a good verbal short form of milli-bit-coin (written mBTC).
Edit 2: mXBT cannot exist because a currency code has to be 3 chars long.

It's usually either this as they're sore about how much they could’ve made, or just sheer ignorance or fear by the media propaganda of it being a currency for the anarchists and nefarious. And obviously a lot of people don't know what a Ponzi is.
Yes, i agree with you. Anyway, I think there is a thing that has been well written by the OP: ... again in tech because economists don't really get it from first place ?!
Edit: to explain myself better, lol

Lol wth guys xD, I did clearly say "his."
Lol, I really don't know why, maybe I did read "this" instead of "his" But seriously, why is he a newbie if he has 42 activity?
I wrote this in another post, but I can't say I'm pretty sure: The "class" change seems to be executed some hours (maybe a day) later. This is, if I well remember, what I noticed.

Am I the only one who sees his activity at 42 and still a Newbie? The new junior member tier starts at 30... I think you posted this on the wrong sockpuppet. I think you misunderstood his post. Btcton is talking about OP. Then I was wrong too; Ooops to me! Sorry Btcton!

I'm now 42, so why am i still showing as a newbie??
There still appears to be a load of bugs in this change over.

Oh no, not a Ponzi scheme, please... My opinion is that he is just sad he didn't think of it first or invest early in it.
I didn't read his papers, but I think this is often a probable cause.

But if you make over a certain amount of posts all that will happen is you go up by 14 every 2 weeks. Perhaps they should change the name of activity to something a bit more relevant.
Yes, I have to admit that "activity" could be a bit misleading. On the other side I'm not able to suggest a more appropriate word.
|
|
|
Activity should imply how active you are not how long you've been registered.
Well, activity implies not only how long you've been registered, but also your post count (and how they are spawned in time). I agree with who says that this is a better system than previous one, as it's a good antispam measure and avoid some newbies to become heroes in a matter of days.
