521  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: November 08, 2013, 01:27:31 PM
I just had an idea Smiley Imagine a scenario when all bitcoin is intentionally destroyed via sending to trash wallet, but just a handful of coins remain, say 100 of them.

1000$ for 1 memorabilia btc Smiley Maybe in a golden hard coin form.

uhh why would this happen? it will never happen so there is not point thinking what if  Smiley

Yeah, the concept of the site was really good. Either replace it, or we should force eBay to accept bitcoins Tongue

EDIT:

This is the message that pops up when you visit the site:

Bitmit is closing
Bitmit is shutting down its services in four weeks. Please complete your orders and withdraw your funds!

2013 November 6th
Read more..

You are allowed to place new orders until November 13th.
If you are interested in buying the site we will publish further information in about 2 weeks. Meanwhile please stay patient, updates are posted here.

There has not been any hack, missing funds etc. but we think that such a site should be run by a more professional business entity.

« The end is the beginning of all things, suppressed and hidden, awaiting to be released through the rhythm of pain and pleasure. Bitcoin evolved from a sore baby to a powerful soldier who is surrounded by a wonderful community of freedom fighters! With your help Bitcoin will be able to defend itself in the fight against all financial systems that are based on debt. But for us it's time to move on. »

We really appreciate your long time support!

THANKS AND BYE BYE!

I hate how they have no reason why they close down, perhaps it was just a money issue.
It's kind of weird how inputs shuts down the same week.

Money issues? their fees were realy high i cant understand how can it be a money issue

I think bitcoin will stay around for a long time. maybe it wil not keep the "BitCoin" name but im sure 100 years from now people will use mainly virtual currencies.
